“Purple Skies? How would that work?” He could understand Abara having red skies due to a much thicker atmosphere and thusly an easier scattering of light up to red waves, but wasn’t purple the shortest form of light rays? That would imply a thinner atmosphere. How would a planet with a thinner atmosphere than Earth’s survive? He’d probably just have to ask more about it later; the topic was interesting to Lucian, but… this Lily seemed really shy. So far she was very friendly though, so that gave him hopes of her sticking around at least for a little longer after the fungeon was done with.
Lucian couldn’t help but pinch Alice’s cheek. “Well then, I guess Adnama’s strikes aren’t very honest, now are they?” He chuckled. She’d probably rail him for that afterwards. That was fine.
Foam Blade Of Fate: Perform one T1 Slash damage to one enemy. | 20 Charges
Foam Shield of Justice: Raise one ally’s defense by 10% for three turns. | 20 Charges
Foam Gauntlets of Devastation: Perform T1 Slash damage against all foes. | 10 Charges
Strengths/Weaknesses:
—Strength Name: Platinum Tongue —Description: Over the course of his life as a borderline noble and political wonder child Lucian learned the hard way that words can mean the difference between prosperity and ruin. As any skilled president should, Lucian has a remarkable proficiency for weaving words into convincing arguments and speeches, turning even his enemy into his favor. During demon negotiation, Lucian has a higher chance of pleasing demons as long as they can speak verbally.
—Strength Name: Charismatic Leader —Description: The most important part of leading a group of people - be it a handful of heroes or billions upon billions of civilians – is the ability to inspire them and pass unto them every last drop of confidence and innate wisdom that one has acquired over their lifetime. When accompanied by a group of at least one other person besides himself, Lucian passively boosts the luck stat of every ally present – including himself – by 10%.
—Strength Name: Heroic Bravery —Description: When the pen breaks and the sword is the only might that remains, one must be able to bridge the gap in power between them and their enemy by surrounding oneself in lucid focus and rational thought. As the man entrusted with the fate of an entire nation and its people, Lucian has learned to maintain his rationality and composure even when faced with imminent death. Lucian is 15% less likely to be inflicted with the Panic ailment, and recovers from it one turn earlier than scheduled by the skill used to inflict it.
—Racial Strength Name: Liber Gene —Description: The one lucky charm that’s allowed Lucian to come this far; the Liber Gene makes Lucian and all others who carry it immune to all forms of mind control and suggestion, save for those related to the soul, which it still manages to repel efficiently, if not perfectly. In combat, this makes it 15% less likely for the carrier to be inflicted with Charm, and in the case that it does it only lasts for one turn.
—Weakness Name: The Bitter Taste Of Defeat —Description: To a man who relies highly on his usage of words and diplomacy, not being able to communicate properly with another is beyond irritating, it’s downright frustrating, which can cause Lucian to lose a bit of his composure. In demon negotiation, Lucian is less likely to please demons that do not communicate verbally, or simply those who he can’t understand.
—Weakness Name: Astigmatism —Description: Maybe Lucian should’ve listened to his parents when they told him he shouldn’t read while in the dark or stick so close to the TV, as now he suffers from a form of astigmatism that blurs his vision whenever it shifts from one place to another rapidly, as is crucial for him to do while in combat (though maybe not so much outside of it). Whenever Lucian is downed in combat, his glasses will be knocked off. While his glasses are off, his accuracy will be reduced by 30%, and he must spend a turn guarding to put his glasses back on in order to recover his normal accuracy.
—Weakness Name: Immunodeficiency —Description: Though Lucian definitely lucked out in inheriting decent looks and the Liber Gene from his mother, the rest of his embryonic conception was… less than fortunate. Lucian was born with a minor form of immunodeficiency, which makes him particularly vulnerable to disease. Poison deals 5% more damage per turn to Lucian and is 15% more likely to be inflicted upon him.
—Racial Weakness Name: Flesh And Bone —Description: Despite their many redeeming traits and how far they’ve come as a species, humans aren’t exactly known for faring very well against the harmful elements of nature. Lucian especially, being past his biological prime, might need more than average protection when venturing into dangerous places, and is likely to exhaust easily in PvP combat. In PvS combat, however, this means that any elemental ailment lasts a turn longer than usual.

"I-I don't know... It was just what we had... I-is that weird or something?"
—Racial Strength Name: Natural Defenses (Within combat, she uses these shields to protect herself, increasing her counter chances by 10%. Her shields also help her when trying to defend herself or others using a defense buff skill, increasing their potency by 15% as well.)
—Weakness Name: Squishy (Takes +10% damage from all dex attacks.)
—Weakness Name: Inexperienced (Translates to her only being able to use one weapon node at a time instead of the usual two.)
—Racial Weakness Name: Adaption of Fear (Within combat, Lilly is 15% more susceptible to the fear ailment, as well as when the three turns of fear are over, she must take a test and on a 20% chance she stays feared for another round. These additional rounds of fear can last indefinitely if she keeps hitting the 20% chance. On top of this, she's often scared to attack head on with enemies and prefers to stay back in the supportive role, meaning all damage output from Lilly is reduced by 10%.)
Action:
Bonking Meowversary with Strike Dex for 12 damage.

"D-Dad quit it, I'm sixteen. You're embarrassing me..." Thankfully it appeared the group of "enemies" up ahead had most of the group's attention. They'd need to deal with them quickly though if they wanted to keep pushing forward. Brandishing her foam sword, Alice prepared for another mock battle.
Foam Blade Of Fate: Perform one t1 Physical attack of one declared physical element on one enemy. Declare element when you choose this class. 19 Charges. (Slash)
Foam Shield of Justice: Raise one ally’s defense by 10% for three turns. 20 Charges.

Relevant(?) Strengths/Weaknesses:
—Strength Name: Finesse —Description: Alice's attacks hold a certain grace to them and when she's doing well in a battle her movements are awe-inspiring to watch. After successfully landing a critical hit on an enemy her Ppstr stat will increase by 5% for the duration of the Once More and her next subsequent turn. This can't stack on top of itself, but there's no limit to the amount of times it can be triggered per battle.
—Strength Name: Slice n' Dice —Description: When using Slash skills, Alice deals 10% extra damage than she would normally.
—Racial Strength Name: Liber Gene —Description: The source of Alice's deepest hopes and most dreaded fears; the Liber Gene makes Alice and all others who carry it immune to all forms of mind control and suggestion, save for those related to the soul, which it still manages to repel efficiently, if not perfectly. In combat, this makes it 15% less likely for the carrier to be inflicted with Charm, and in the case that it does it only lasts for one turn.
—Weakness Name: Ramen Rakunda —Description: You wouldn't expect it from the daughter of the POTUS, but most of Alice's diet consists of snacks and quickly prepared meals like instant ramen. While Lucian was a loving father and clearly did his best to take care of her, the nature of his job often meant that he was swamped with work that could easily prevent him from spending time with her. With only one parent taking care of her, this meant that family dinners were a rare occurrence for Alice and that consequentially she slowly began to avoid attending supper in favor of more convenient options. You don't have to be disappointed when you see your dad's not at the table if you never bother with full course meals in the first place, right? Because of this she's skinnier than your typical human female and takes 10% more damage from physical attacks than she would otherwise.
—Weakness Name: Xenophilia —Description: Ironically enough, beneath the surface Alice isn't as patriotic as you'd expect her to be. What she learned about her country and the world she lived in as a whole has severed a gigantic portion of the connection she felt to it. Even before learning about the Liber Gene's existence and the state of America though, she maintained a healthy interest in foreign cultures, although it's much more intense now than it ever was before. Since almost everyone in Junction comes from a different culture than she's used to, Charm skills have an extra 5% chance of success against her. In addition, her initial unfamiliarity with these cultures and their technology means she can only equip nodes up to tier 2.
—Weakness Name: Colorful Cues —Description: The nature of Alice's soulbound weapon makes it easier for opponents to read her current emotional state and act to exploit it accordingly. In PvS this translates to her doing 5% less damage with Patriot. When it comes to PvP though there isn't an intrinsic mechanical effect; it simply allows an observant enough opponent to notice and take advantage of the meaning of the colors. For example, if a person managed to discern that the energy being red translates to negative emotions and turned their attention to Alice's movements and attacks, they could potentially learn that she's in a state of anger and use that knowledge to formulate a strategy against her. In that sense, this weakness of hers could be considered a counter to her skill in acting.
—Racial Weakness Name: Flesh And Bone —Description: Despite their many redeeming traits and how far they’ve come as a species, humans aren’t exactly known for faring very well against the harmful elements of nature. While it's true that Alice is in her prime and is a decently athletic person, she's still a bit underweight for a girl her age and isn't all that physically strong having to thereby rely on skill and strategy over brute force to back up any non-supernatural attacks made in PvP. In PvS combat, however, this means that any elemental ailment lasts a turn longer than usual.

"These actors are kind of... Really lame... Uh, sorry about this I guess? But, hey, your fault for being a bad actor!"
Priestess Arcana :: 15% Increase To Tactical Skills
The Wild Card's Curse: A Wild Card is destined to struggle against fate and push forth a new future that is impossible to predetermine. However, the end of their journey is wrought with pain and suffering. Cassiel being exposed to Lucian's fate has caused him to be extremely sensitive to the man's fate, causing him to be in a weakened state around him. Cassiel looses 5% of his total HP stat when in combat with Lucian.
—Racial Weakness Name: Heart of Ariel —Description: Virtue as a race are very sensitive to the emotions and weaving of fate around them. In Cassiel’s case, the doom and fortune of others around him affect him on a greater scale than one might expect. While fortune will simply boost his own morale and mood, doom takes a great toll on his mental state and body, almost so much that it can cause damage to his body. In battle, Cassiel will lose his next turn should an ally be brought down to half health or below. Should an ally be KOed in battle, Cassiel will be brought down to 1 HP. Should an ally be killed in battle, Cassiel will be instantly KOed and can’t be revived for one turn after being KOed.
—Strength Name: Critical Item Use —Description: Cassiel has the ability to double the efficiency of items that he uses on himself or allies. This critical for items will double the restored HP, SP, or double the damage dealt by an item. This is based on his Luck stat like normal critical. Passives such as Daredevil do affect this strength.
—Weakness Name: Impossible Critical —Description: Because of Cassiel’s ability to use criticals on items, he is incapable of dealing critical hits with Dex attacks of Physical skills. If a passive is created stating he can use critical strikes with Magic spells, this passive becomes nullifies by this weakness.
Available Skills:
Holy Salve Royal Jelly: Heal one party member 30% HP. 19 Charges.
Holy Book Bee Swarm: Scan one enemy. Displays stats and Weaknesses. 19 Charges.
Holy Word Queen's Decree: Raise one ally from 0 HP back to half health. 10 Charges.
Action:
Dex attack on Meowversary. Three Slash Damage towards Meowversary.

“Eh, fine, but I’ll get back to you on this later.” Lucian was incredibly tempted to reply with “Hi Sixteen, I’m dad.”, but invoking Alice’s utter wrath wasn’t particularly in his list of immediate interests; he could save the affectionate comments and inhumanely torturous dad jokes for when they were on their own. He did have to admit though, she was seriously taking this roleplaying thing in stride; he’d be properly impressed if he didn’t already know for a fact that she was a total dork. But then again, who was he to talk?
James’s dedication to the role, on the other hand, did come as a bit of a surprise. Lucian couldn’t help but wonder how the world would’ve reacted if they’d seen the president of the United States and his vice president LARPing in a circus tent with a man dressed as a bee and an anthropomorphic dog (though if you think about it, considering his presidential campaign was based on being as predictable yet interesting as possible so as to make the horsemen believe he was another pawn and tricking them into making the populace elect him, one could say he’d been LARPing for a long time).
“It’s not necessarily weird, just… statistically unlikely. Thinking it through, being born in a world with a sustainable purple atmosphere is quite a lucky occurrence, isn’t it?” Lucian replied to the timid canine. This did beg the question though, what was the most common sky color across the multiverse? Considering how long Junction’s been around, it was more than likely that someone out there had already documented something about this subject. If Junction had a public library, he’d have to stop by and look into it sometime in the future.
“Oh, come now, there’s no need to be rude. They did their best and – let’s respect it – they… really tried.” Yeah, it was one thing to be respectful, but Lucian couldn’t really give credit where credit wasn’t due. You’d think with the ludicrous amount of people living in Junction and the seemingly non-existent surplus of occupied jobs they’d be able to hire some more qualified actors. Hey, at least it was better than going up against moving dummies or staff completely out of character.
Walking south a few further steps, Lucian approached the treasure chest in the room and eagerly lifted the lid. Hopefully it’d be something better this time…

Subject: Re: Fungeon! Team 2. (Lilly , Alice, James, Cassiel, Lucian) Wed Aug 23, 2017 2:08 am
Alice followed behind her father silently taking in the details of the conversation. There wasn't much for her to comment on, although she did quietly frown at the bee's comment about their acting. Practice made perfect and the fact that they were trying spoke favorably of them even if the quality of their performance was, uh...

Following.
