"A what?" It was fairly clear she meant that metal thing, but after that he had no idea what it could be.

Tentatively, Dale approaches the wall, not coming within arm's reach of the bodies and very ready to back off if something started to happen.

As Dale approached the wall the bodies would cease their squirming and shifting to turn their attention towards him. Once face in particular, at eye level, would fill with color and life again, meeting his gaze.

"Do you have my skin?"

It...it was looking at him.
Dale looks back to Ninevee, uncertain, before turning his gaze back to the face that was now looking at him.
At least is seemed more alive..."Hello?"

Ninevee would nod solemnly and offer a small thumbs up. There was no way of him knowing this, but there was no way she was going near that thing...

The face would silently watch Dale, studying his movements closely, following him with it's deep sunken in eyes.

"Ahhh...who... do you know? Skin? where..."

He didn't know why it didn't register the first time, but...
Skin? It wanted its skin?
But...how did it lose its skin?
"I don't know who I know...what happened to your skin, though? How did you lose it?" How someone lost their skin, Dale didn't know...but then again, this was a talking wall made of bodies. That was far from the first thing that was weird about all of this.

"Taken! Pealed awayRIPPED OFF! Torn, taken, Please stop, you're hurting me hate hate hate hate hate hate hate please don't kill me"

The wall erupted into a chorus of screams and pleas for mercy and for release from whatever torture those trapped inside had been subjected to. Each voice blending into and out of each other, words joining together into incomprehensible gibberish dubbed over an dissonant symphony of sobs and screams.

Over it all the one word repeated time and time again...

Dale recoiled at the sudden cacophony of cries. They...they were in pain. Their skin had been taken, and that wasn't even the worst of it.
He didn't know how that happened, and he didn't want to.
But there was something he did need to know.
"Who took it...? Where did they go?"

Dale steps back, unsure what to do. It didn't talk right before, and now...now it was just getting worse.
He looks back to Ninevee. "Do you...know what would happen if I tried to heal them?" He wanted this to stop. He wanted this to not be real. He wanted to get them out of the way, and if that might do it, he'd do it.

...THAT was what happened if you couldn't control your void?
That was terrifying.
He'd only considered healing them because it might make them help. Let them through, tell them things. If there was no point though, better not to waste the effort on that unless he got a good reason.
"How quick could we get through if we both did it, and how dangerous would it be? If it can't help us, and it can't be helped, then all that's left is whether it's worth getting rid of."

"I should be able to eradicate it swiftly. It has impeded our progress in finding Ninetee for long enough. Please step aside Dale"

Ninevee's arm transformed into a massive canon that she hefted up and pointed towards the wall. It began to glow and crackle with an immense energy, preparing to fire at a moment's notice.

For an instant dale would see a flicker of a phantasmal image behind Ninevee, however, it was quickly overshadowed by a blinding light and a deafening roar. For a moment, Dale was blind, and deaf. When his senses returned to him, the wall of flesh had been reduced to a large pile of ash. His path was clear, and Ninevee looked to him expectantly.

Nothingness. Sheer nothingness. He couldn't see. He couldn't hear.
When his senses returned to him, he found himself huddled against the wall, clutching Chip to his chest as he curled up.
He didn't even feel himself moving.
His gaze flicked between Chip and the expectant Ninevee, before setting the little pup down and picking himself up.
Not knowing what to say, he nods at Ninevee before continuing on past the ashes...

...after taking a moment to sift through them in case there was anything strange.
