As the name suggested, Sunlake Palms was a District that bathed in the sunlight. It was the current location of the missing person's case that was linked to a psyche terrorist the most likely resided in the area. Those who wished to take part in the investigation had the option for the local police to give them a ride to the scene of the investigation from wherever they were staying in Endymion. That was the privilege for them being a part of the famous Class Zero. The scent of flowers and the warm sun was enough to make anyone feel at peace. The scene of the investigation would be sealed off by a number of caution tape, just so the general public didn't alter the scene. And though Claire was the one who had informed them to meet her there, she was nowhere to be found. Instead, there was a short haired young man who currently stood on the scene and turned to the small group that had arrived to investigate.
"Are you the new recruits? My name is Sera." His voice was rather bland and uninterested. From one look, it would appear that he may have been some sort of relative of Claire, as they had the same distinct features. "I was informed this will be your first investigation. Claire will join us later, she had a previous engagement, so I'll be working with you for the meantime." The young man kept his hands in his pockets as he would crane his neck to signify he wanted them to follow. He would lead them through the brush of the forest they'd be holding the investigation, and would lead them pass the caution tape to the center of where they'd need to be to do their jobs. On their way, he never looked back to look at them once. He wasn't the nicest person, but he wasn't rude either. If one would think about it, he didn't give off much of a presence at all. If he were a cadet he'd be in the meeting this morning right? Well unlike his relative, he was not a cadet in the slightest. Though he passed the ritual, his gift didn't not come in the form of a Persona, but he did get something from the Queen's blood. Something he hardly shared with anyone.
"There was a woman who went missing in this area, and some civilians gave a few statements on what they had saw. They said she followed a young girl, wearing the mask of a Cheshire Cat, into the thickest parts of the forest before vanishing. This isn't the first case this Terrorist has struck the Sunlake Palms. She has shown no activity outside of this area, leading us to believe her main fort may be located here." He explained the situation with his usual bland voice as the team would have finally made it to the scene. Before he got them started on the investigation, where he'd explain what they were to be doing, he'd turn to them once more. "Hey, can I ask you all a question. Has Claire been acting strange in Class Zero? I'm not allowed in there, so I was hoping to get your opinion on the matter."

While Maria had been grateful of the option of having a free ride, she doubted her coffin could fit inside their cruisers nor would they be able to find suitable harness to tie onto the roof. She didn't want to make too much trouble for the law enforcement. It went without saying that she would be one of the few that had to get to Sunlake Palms on foot. The nun finally arrived at the place with sunlight beaming in the air. Her blank expression carefully surveyed the area soon spying upon the familiar yellow tape which warranted a belief that she was at the right spot. And when the rest of her group arrived, she gave a nod towards them in greeting.
Maria also silently nodded at the male who was here instead of Claire. Her expression continued to be empty, not betraying any look of surprise on her features. But it warranted a curiosity where exactly the veteran went off to. "A pleasure to meet you, sir. I'm Maria."
She would continue to have her lips sealed shut as the rest introduced themselves. Maria only adjusted the strap hanging off her shoulder from slight discomfort of her burden. As soon as introductions were over, she followed the guide. Along the way, the nun listened to him speak and was already trying to digest the information from his lips. "You and Claire seem to suggest there were previous victims. What is their state as of this moment?"
Maria remembered this Terrorist had the ability to manipulate the mind somehow. It was a troublesome ability and it warranted much caution and they needed to be prepared. But it seemed this man had a personal concern. Normally she wouldn't bother obliging, but there was something... odd about her senior. She also remembered how the veteran glared at her back then. So how is this person related to her?
"Not that I am concerned. At best she was late for the morning meeting, perhaps from her work last night with Chris. She seemed as if she didn't want to talk about it much. Is she related to you?"
The last question was probably the question her fellow Cadets were thinking about this whole time.

Her first official mission, huh? Shiina didn't want to mess anything up now, of all times. She wouldn't need to make use of the free ride, as she simply went directly to Sunlake Palms on her motorcycle. The engine made as little of a noise as it could, showing that she at least had it optimized for constant traveling, even if it was still quite loud. It wouldn't take her that long to reach her destination thanks to this, and soon enough, she placed a short heeled boot atop the asphalt leading up to the crime scene. Thankfully, there was already someone else she knew on the scene.
//"Hrm. Good afternoon, Maria."// Shiina wasn't quite her usual cheery self today, for more than one reason (even if one of said reasons was the fact that she had to be serious now). She simply bowed to her friend and turned towards the younger boy. //"As Maria said. My name is Shiina Tsurinai."//
The Tsurinai would say nothing more as Sera continued explaining the situation. Instead, she fetched a notebook from her bag and produced a pen from her breast pocket, then jotted down the details she thought necessary. In her bag were more than a handful of items dedicated to this kind of procedure, including a box of disposable gloves, a flashlight, and, naturally, a magnifying lens. There were more things, but nothing too complicated. Shiina just thought to bring the basics, just in case.
//"I suppose those at the meeting would know more of this..."// She mumbled a bit under her breath, as if speaking to herself. It just helped to voice her thoughts when writing, nothing more.

While the offer to be taken by car to the place they were suppose to investigate was there, Haru decided to keep walking alongside Maria preferring her company over that of a law enforcer at the moment. The pair would eventually arrive around the same time to the scene. As he came to a rest slightly beside Maria, his strange colored eyes would scan the area they were in taking note of what was around them before they settled on the yellow tape that marked off the area that was there. As he was wondering what may be on the other side, another joined them. This one was a female he had remembered vaguely seeing at the morning assembly, but since then hadn’t seen the young woman.
She said her name was Shiina…Hmm. Alright. He could remember that. He would take the name and marked it to memory along with the fact that she and Maria had met before.
Not exactly familiar with the woman, Haru figured he would introduced himself, but he decide to save the introduction until after the young man that greeted them spoke. To Sera’s question, he would nod.
“Hai. My name is Hatsu. A pleasure to meet you both,” he would say introducing himself by his short name rather than his full name for the time being. He wasn’t being deceitful with this, but rather using what was more effective in the case, so the short name would have to do. After this, he would fall silent to listen to what was being said, his eyes drifting over to Shiina as she pulled out a pen and notepad seemingly quite prepared for the investigation.
While he did not jot anything down physically, he took note of things mentally. When they began to move, he followed the group as the young man took them behind the tape and to the scene of the crime. Looking around the area as he listened to what was being said, he would eventually look back at the other.
“So she likes to stay in the area...a resident here, maybe? You said she was a young girl wearing a Cheshire Cat Mask, do we know around what age the girl is and does the mask always stay the same? Also how many times has this particular Terrorist struck here?” he would ask the questions. Perhaps there were too many at once, but he had spaced them out well enough so it wasn’t just one big ramble in the end. As for that last part, Haru would shift his weight slightly to the left as he looked off to the side, thinking.
“I recall having misgivings about her earlier, but found them perhaps misplaced. She seemed normal enough and said she was going to the police station before meeting us here. Outside of that was just the oddness of her pulling at her shirt constantly like she was hot or something…though the temperature in the room didn’t bother me much. Then again it is probably trivial,” he would say before his eyes slid back over to the other. “Why? Has she been acting strange around you?” he would ask his tone remaining calm, soft and level the whole time. He would fall silent after this to listen to any input from the others that may come.

Noah would approach the scene only shortly after the majority of the did, being able to overhear most of what had been said up till now. He would take glances at both the new investigation leader and apparently a new member of the Cadet newbies that he had not met before. Shiina, eh? They seem to indeed be accepting quite a bunch of new reqruits. As for Sera here...''Hey all. I'm Noah.'', he would introduce himself for the sake of the substitute Cadet and the new girl, before mulling over what was being talked about. They were all asking questions, but if there was an investigation needed...didn't it mean a lot of information wasn't even known yet...? Hmmm. ''I'd be more curious as to what are we to do if we happen to run into her while looking around. Though I find that unlikely...'' He had already noticed using powers kind of didn't work throughout the day...so, it was likely that said Terrorist wouldn't be out and about right now. Still good to know if there was any strategy in place in case they did snoop her out or force her to confront them.
The basics aside...Claire, huh? Noah would scratch the back of his head as the others responded to the question about her behavior. It was hard to truly tell. After all, they didn't know her, having only seen her for the first time in the morning. But still....''Don't know about you rest, but I did find her a little strange for someone who claims to be a Cadet who was in the business for a while already. She acted almost too overconfident about this mission, blowing off most concerns cheerfully.'' Although that didn't necessarily have to mean anything. ''What concerned me the most was her reaction when me and Maria here mentioned last night, meaning the ritual. At first, she almost jumped us...like she was suddenly in some hostile mode. It was just for a moment though, and then she kind of remembered the ritual being a thing. But when I asked her whether something else happened last night, she...just ignored me. Don't know if that's normal for her, but it appeared out of place to me...'' It had to mean something...no? And if Sera was straight up asking for oddities in behavior, this was obviously a valid concern. It wouldn't be asked for no reason. Well...they were investigating a mind controller..weren't they...? ''If I may question, why is it you ask...? Do you think something may have happened to Claire..? I mean, we are apparently investigating a Terrorist who can control minds, and Claire had mentioned it could affect us too...is it possible she was under some control herself?'' It didn't sound impossible. But if it was true...then what would it mean for them..? Maaaan....What a day...

Since Athena was hanging out with Noah earlier it only made sense to walk back to Sunlake Palms with him, not to mention she would rather work than have her dad give her a ride to her first investigation assignment. When they arrived she could only recognize two people, the first one being Hastu, or Faces, or Phantom, or however he called himself these days. As for the second one it was a girl Athena knew thanks to her career and not her status as cadet, Kyotsu-Shi was after all a famous idol. Even though she was slightly late she had arrived soon enough to hear the conversation and the introductions the other cadets had.
"Hello everyone, my name is Athena. It's a pleasure to finally meet all of you."
With the introductions done she was ready to begin working on solving this peculiar mystery, the fact she was living in Sunlake Palms gave her an extra reason to want this terrorist out of the streets. "Do we have any insight on the reason she's doing this? So far the only information we have received is that she has the ability to control the minds of others." Athena wondered if she was trying to rally the people against the government or something within that line, it wouldn't seem impossible by terrorist standards. "As for Claire, I'm afraid I can' answer that. I don't know her well enough to determinate if she's behaving differently than normal." This question raised her suspicions but what she would only presume Noah asked. Athena held her breath waiting for Sera's answer, if this terrorist was able to break the will of someone as experienced as Claire did they really stood a chance against her?

Sera turned to face Maria first, as they were the first to arrive and the first to start asking questions. "The victims that we've recovered still seem to be in a trance in our local hospital. Usually effects taken on in the night are lost in the morning, but these are staying. It leads me to believe she is either getting stronger, or those who live in this area have very fragile minds." He spoke with an even tone, as his hands never left the pockets of his jacket. The young man would close his eyes at her answer in regards to Claire's recent shift in personality. "She was with Chris, huh? Well whatever, I was just curious was all. My relation to Claire isn't that important to talk about."
Sera nodded in introduction to the others before turning towards the male who asked more about the Psyche Terrorist. "She's in her teens. I'd say around eighteen if not alittle younger. To our knowledge, her Mask remains the same. She's struck for a number of four times with four different victims. More information on the victims will be presented to you during the investigation. Just speak to me about it then." He responded calmly to the young man before listening to his answer about Claire aswell. His round eyes slightly narrowed before closing once again on the information. "That sounds about right. Nothing to concern yourself with. Perhaps I have a complex about her well being." It was a bland response that really held nothing to it. No weight to the words, almost as if it were a scripted response no matter what he would have heard about her.
Sera looked towards Noah in regards to his comment about running into the Psyche Terrorist now. "A Psyche Terrorist are at their most powerful in the night. Right now, she's just like anyone else, to some degree. If we were to encounter her, there would be no issue. However, that'd involve us knowing she was indeed the terrorist we were looking for." This fellow had alot more input when it came to Claire's current condition. Sera pinched his chin in thought while listening. When he was asked if Claire may have been a victim of this mind controlling Psyche Terrorist herself, Sera would scoff before turning away from the group. "Impossible. Claire would never be controlled. The only way that'd happen is if it were over her dead body." He was visually annoyed at the suggestion that anyone would over power her mind. It was unheard of.
The last person on the list of those participating seemed to have some questions of their own. He scratched the tip of his nose, still visually distraught. "Well you'll find that out during the investigation, I guess. Whatever, let's just get started."
Investigations:
What are Investigations?
As a Cadet, it is your job to investigate crime scenes to hunt down a Psyche Terrorist and bring them to justice. On these crime scenes, there will be a series of clues that you may look into to find what happened at the scene of the crime, and your next stop in hunting down the Terrorist threat.
Investigation topics take up time in your day. They are topics that unlock specific dungeons in the night. If an investigation is completed, anyone on the Cadets side may partake in the mission. It will be imperative for Cadets to split up their duties as the plot goes on. Not everyone needs to partake in the Investigation, same with the dungeon in the night.
Clues:
During investigations there will be a number of clues on the scene. You will have to choose which clues seem the most relevant to the case. Once choosing a clue you wish to inspect, you will get a short description of that clue, and a number of different choices for you to determine their importance. During an investigation, you have a total of three times to make a mistake before your grade/exp/rewards are lowered. It is best to speak amongst your fellow investigators before making your decisions on what you want to inspect first, and the choices that come. It is imperative you choose a lead investigator to make the choice of what they wish to investigate. Your answers and choices will come through this lead investigator as to not flood the topic which each member's post. You all may make another topic to discuss your answers, or a personal im or anything of your choice.

//"Now then, I suppose the first order of business is the clear elephant in the room."// Shiina would remove a pair of disposable gloves from her bag and put them on. She then walked over towards the green envelope and picked it up normally, meanwhile checking if it was already open or not. If not, she at least had a solution to the problem, hopefully.
Clues Checked:
Envelope in the dead center of the investigation site.

The Investigation team comes across and envelope... It is oddly colored green and has an address on it....
It seems to be an envelope with decorative flowers on the face. An advertisment for Feya's garden...

Activating QAS > Quick Action Sequence:
1. Examine the envelope thoroughly for more clues. It seems unopened and covered in dirt...
2. Discard the clue and continue to investigate the scene. Choose another clue to examine.

It was quite obvious what to do here. The envelope stuck out like a sore thumb, so regardless of what the advertisement on the thing read, it was worth at least opening it to examine it.

When opening the envelope there would be a small card tucked away within the sleeves. On the card read information regarding Feya's local business. There was nothing suspicious about this, as the woman ran a local garden in the area. It was discarded mail, and not relevant to the case...

//"Hrm. Nothing unusual here. Someone take this card back, we should turn it in as evidence regardless. Maybe it has some fingerprints we can use."// Shiina would give whoever offered to take it a pair of gloves like hers, and then the card, before returning to the crime scene. It was evidence like any other, might as well keep it just in case. Next, she moved onto the footprints a bit away from the card, and knelt down to check them.
-Moving onto the Bloody Footsteps Clue.

When examining the footprints there were two sets of prints. Instead of blood, as one would presume, it seemed to be some dried mud instead.

//"Wait a second... wasn't there supposed to only be one Terrorist? There are two sets of footprints, however... Hrm. It could just be the victim's and the Terrorist's, respectively."//
Shiina frowned, and shook her head. She didn't have enough evidence to correctly assume such things right now. Because of that, she disregarded this clue for now and instead moved to the tree trunk with what was presumably blood on it... or maybe it was blood? Eh, who knew. They could follow the footprints in a bit anyway.
-Not continuing to investigate the footprints and instead moving to investigate the tree trunk.
