The gunfire made her tense. It was one thing to be behind the gun and quite another to be fired at. The snapping sent her on edge but panicking was not allowed, not yet. She suppressed the urge to flinch and put her body in front of the civilian. Her vest would protect her. She had to believe that. Susan quickly took her multiple perspectives into account and began to relay orders swiftly.
We will cover them as they move to safety, Jackie. The flying one is fastest and we have fire superiority, we will target it if we have a good shot.
You are about to have a civilian entering the train car, Your Highness.
Kurosoko, advance and deliver your civilian to the Princess. She can protect them. I will need you for additional duties, they may sound strange but standby for instructions.
Fairweather, defend yourself. Ambush is imminent.
The rest of it was up to smart prediction of movement and proper planning. Susan dashed quickly into position and pivoted on a half-step, drawing her gun to her shoulder. She took a deep breath and held it as she squeezed the trigger.

They were firing at them? Oh god, they were actually firing at them. Gozai himself, while thankful he was spared a gunshot wound, still found himself rather shook by all of this. He'd signed up expecting to at most kill some demons, maybe rough up some troublemaker if need be. For a firefight like this? Not so much.
Still, Groves seemed to somehow be keeping it together. Enough to relay commands. The first part was understandable enough, but something about strange sounding duties? He would merely offer the senior Cadet a terse nod beofreagain securing his grip on the civilian, and dashing forth.
Reaching the end of the car, he'd knock on the door twice as he let go of the civvie. "Go, go!"

The people would begin clambering inside at the urging of the train staff, or at least the first one to reach the train. They and the rest of the train staff would huddle inside, but the space would begin to fill. Not like as if they'd be able to get anywhere. The look of fear on their face caused her Highness to force herself to smile. She couldn't just let them sit there with panic pounding their hearts. That's not what a Princess of Endymion would allow. "Everyone, please remain calm. The Cadets will ensure the situation is under control. You will be safe, I promise you."
Her smile was replicated with shaky ones. They knew the Cadets would protect them. But for how long?
"W-will we? I... I don't wanna die here. Not in this desert. I have family waiting on me." One of the civilians doubtfully asked as he peeked out of the window to watch the entire melee happening. Demons were bad enough, but raiders? It's as if someone cursed this morning just for them. They were able to get inside, but with all of these people coming in on motorcycles and firearms, it may be a matter of time.
"Yes, now please keep your head down and stay away from the windows." She said while motioning him away from the seat. As the man meekly followed her orders, Serenity felt a tap on her shoulder and turned around to see the conductor. He had a grim smile on his face, the sign of good news. "Got hold of the Domiona folks. They're sending a military train over here for rescue and transport. They'll be here in a bit, but think your Cadets can hold them off?"
"They will. I believe in them." The Princess replied with an actual genuine smile this time as the overhearing crowd began to murmur to themselves excitedly. She felt her shoulders feel loose now, tensed from all of this tension with all the stakes at play. Now, they actually had a real goal to work with. Talking to the team through the communications, she had a look of resolution. Not one of worry and uncertainty, but one with an actual purpose.
"You heard it all, Cadets. Hold out until the Wardens get here. Show these marauders why you never mess with Class Zero."

The sensory overload was almost nauseating at this point. The flashing of muzzles, pops of gunshots at every different angle, the murmurs of frightened people. It was giving her a migraine. Susan, likely the only one, did not feel any relief at the news that a transport was sent. Just hold on a little longer and someone will be there. That was the hope everyone held onto since the beginning of the incident.
Well that was cute. Hope could definitely stop bullets and lead them to escape. All they had to do was hope and everything would magically work out! Susan chewed on her tongue and scoffed. Hope was about as useful to her right now as an umbrella at stopping everyone from getting slaughtered out here.
She wasn't going to communicate that message. It didn't change anything for the better, and she didn't want anyone getting cocky and pushing their limits because help was surely coming and they were going to be saved! She'd believe it when she experienced it. It was outright stupid to sit around and do nothing about your situation and expect someone else to fix it for you when you could be helping yourself. Until then she would work on her plan for evac, but she couldn't do that with bandits so close and threatening them and the locomotive.
Small change of plans, the enemy is too close to the train. We will quickly surround and eliminate them.
Susan would move herself to the one who had separated himself from the rest and raise her machine gun to fire off a three-round burst as he drifted by.

Encouragement from the princess was a nice touch, though the good vibes it could have brought were helplessly ruined by the sounds of gunshots ringing off the surrounding ruins. The Albino would call his baton to his hand, and head back onto the field, keeping the weapon close to himself , ready to fend off coming blows.
