PvS Skirmish Initiated: Press "F" To Pay Respects!
New Rules To Test:
Staff have discussed about these rules and I decided this might be a good time than any to use this thread to test some new mechanics. This turn the enemy won't use them until the next. But you guys may use them.
Normal movement can now be up to 6 squares. This can be multiplied accordingly to human strengths, buffs, and Shadow Accel.
Pair Up - Pair Up allows a PC to join up with another one. They can swap who's 'active' at will. The active member gets bonuses to HP and SP, and to the highest stat of who they're paired with. This means they get 10% boost accordingly. In combat the secondary char doesn't normally get an action, but an RNG roll is made during the active char's Turn. If it lands on 1, and 1 was guessed, the char paired with them can attack. You can guess more numbers based on your SL with who you're paired with, and at R10 it's a 100% chance. Your partner can take damage for you and null it, but this will be followed up with 5 post cool down. Rank 5 Social links lowers this to 4 posts and a maxed out social link lowers it further to 3.
Attack Range You dexterity attack range is normally adjacent to your square. Your gun dexterity attacks follow the same rules of unlimited range with additional miss chances of 10% miss chance per 2 squares and must be in line of sight. However, your attacking skills may have an attacking range based on their tier, making it 1:1. Meaning a Tier 2 skill would have a range of 2 spaces from you. Magical skills have double the range. But they suffer from additional miss chances like gun dexterity attacks. Physical skills don't have that penalty, but may retain the 1:1 ratio of their range. AoE attacks have a 2x2 square range around their target. So be careful not to hit your allies as well.

Excellent. Susan had wanted to be approached. Now the moron had boxed himself in. She stood firm in front of her civilian as he skid in front of her and unloaded, flinching as all shots landed in her vest but taking not a single step backward from the force. Her eyes narrowed as she swept her arm out.
Soft light emanated from the papyrus creature as with one hand it would write a healing mark in Isaac's direction, with the other it flayed its fingers and delivered a burst of burning light. "Jackie! Together!"

The enemies that had gotten close fell under vicious assault, meanwhile the further ones he could see were all too busy fighting with the remaining demon. He had his orders, to move. What did the senior Cadet have in mind? He didn't want to question, not now. Right now that approach sounded like a quick way to either A) becoming demon chow, or B) needing to be dragged back to Endymion in a body bag. Neither of which sounded... Pleasant.

"Ya, got to be kiddin' me. Takin' them out this quickly..." The leader muttered under his breath. He initially regarded the entire thing to be a neat opportunity for loot. But this was turning out much more difficult than he initially imagined. The needling from his group grew larger as they too saw the rising difficulty of the task at hand. He finally jerked a thumb towards the increasingly violent skirmish on the tracks before barking out orders. "Aw'rite, boys. Sometimes ya gotta do things yourself and dirty your nice little hands. I'ma move in, the rest of ya can sit back and watch how it's done!"
With a rev of their motorcycle, the rough-looking man in shades began approaching the site of the melee with an entourage. But they weren't alone as green flashes of light heralded their approach with the demons they tamed over these harsh years in the wasteland.

Dust kicked up as inaccurate fire was sprayed at the short woman as she continued to escort, a few stray rounds hitting her in the back. But that was alright, it was according to plan. What was not alright was the enemy's sudden rally. Really, truly, time was up. They needed evac 5 minutes ago.
More enemy threats have arrived. Demon summoners. Strong ones. If possible we won't engage them for very long as we move to evacuate.
I need the rails closest to the train cut as I've done on the other side by anyone who can, except for Jackie. Jackie will need to clear the rails of obstructions. Maria will move the rail with assistance if needed, our combined strength can at least drag it into position but Maria may be able to manage on her own.
Focus on defense of the locomotive first and the civilians inside. We aren't going anywhere without it.
She was still refusing to give up and just accept rescue and this was proof most of all. More opponents to ambush them, stronger than the ones before them and with the ability to call more. The onslaught would never end and she would not place her own life and the lives of everyone present on the ticking of someone else's watch. As long as Susan could stand she would find a way. The businesswoman would allow the fire to graze her back as she turned and fired a volley at a new, closer target.

With a burst to the upper chest and a good grouping Susan would press closer to Jackie for a moment to regain her footing before pivoting her weapon again and firing at more distant targets. Her team could handle the lone marauder now that he was off balance but soon the others could be upon them. Anything to cut their number before they eventually made it there would do nothing but benefit them.

Sighting in, even at long range she was able to land all three shots into the desert dweller's face. As he pitched and rolled she aimed lower and fired another quick burst just as she did the last.
