I'm runnin' along there, ready to put knives into places knives ain't s'posed to go an' I get close to the sound'a powder boxes goin' off. Then this jagoff damn near shoots my fuggen ear off! I feel the bite'a the shot an' the ringin' in my gatdamn ears. "Fuggen jagoff! The hells'at fer!? Ya lost yer gatdamn mind!?" But he still pointin' it at me. Yep, been here b'fore. Been exactly here before. Me, got a damn wound, up to the sword by the cap'n a the guard. Feels like a fuggen Wednesday. I know what I gotta do here, an' what I gotta do here is whatever best ain't get me killed. I get my hand off my fuggen blown-out ear an' put'em up.
"Whoa now! Just put that thing down, son. Ain't no one here wanna hurt nobody, not me, not you."
Fer fuggen Azmodeus, ya wanna help the guards do their damn jobs an' ya end up with yer back to the wall. Small fuggen wonder why I keep doin' this here. If this here asshole's gonna take him one more shot I'm thinkin' I'm gonna dodge to my left there an' drop a Flashbomb, we'll see how it fuggen goes. Don't wanna kill'im. Might have to. I do a lotta things I don't wanna do, understand? But I ain't got a whole lotta options here. 'Til he gets fuggen jumped by the Sinspawn there. Me, savin' the cap'n a the guard from getting' his damn neck tore out by monsters. Yeah, yeah it's fuggen Wednesday aright. He's fightin' but he ain't do so good with it bein' on top'a him, ranger ain't not good up close. Lucky fer this jagoff he got a rogue what knows what he's doin'. I started movin' soon as he got jumped.
S'almost lost its head there. Now normal people'd think ya gotta go fer the head. This thing ain't look like it needs its head, it's almost fuggen lost it an' it's still rippin' the human to minced dog shit. But I know things other people don't. I know how to stab a man where he can't stab ya back, get'im where he can't run, where he can't breath're scream... I'm gonna slip my killin' iron right 'tween that fourth'n fifth vertebrae. That's gonna keep its shoulders from movin' an' its biceps from flexin', it ain't gonna be doin' a whole lot more damage after that. It ain't see me comin', neither. I dash up the beastie an' jump on top, got one hand 'round what's left a its neck to hold on an' I plunge my knife deep where I said I would, twistin' it to get the best mile outta my gold.

Character Strengths:
-Strength Name: Quick Old Bastard -Description: I don't mean to brag but I've been around the block a few times and to even get around once ya gotta be fast. Fast to notice things, fast to move, fast to get the hell out or fast to draw yer piece. If yer slow yer gonna be slow forever cuz yer gonna be fuggen dead.
Grubby's occupation and life experiences have honed his precision and reaction times, giving him a +10% Luck bonus.
-Strength Name: Nimble Lil' Fuck -Description: Now bein' fast ain't enough if you can't get nuthin' out of it. Ya gotta stick and move, stick and move! Story time, if yer ass is gettin' chased by an Orcish Warbeast and you don't can't get yer butt over a wall yer gonna regret it for all of half a second.
Grubby is skilled at maneuvering around his environment out of necessity. While he's not physically faster in a straight run than anyone else he can get himself around obstacles with ease and is an excellent climber. Grubby's movement inside dungeons is double the normal rate.
-Strength Name: Gotdamn Sneaky Jagoff -Description: Lemme tell ya a secret. Ya wanna know the best way to survive runnin' in to an Orc patrol...? ...ya don't let'em see ya! Khaaaaaaa ha ha *hack hack wheeze*... Urgh... I gotta kick the pipe one'a these days... but yeah, I done things I ain't proud of. Things I ain't gonna talk about and no one's gonna know cuz no one saw me do'em.
Grubby is a rogue by trade, a distinction he makes between thieves and brigands on the merit that he helps do good with his talents. Old Grub knows how to travel silently, hide from anyone looking for him, pick locks and disable traps, and generally go unnoticed.
-Strength Name: Git Yer Head Down! -Description: I dunno if anyone ever told ya this, but bein' friends with a wizard is a dangerous spot to be in. Even if he's on yer side just one mispronounced word and kablooey! No more stinky gob. Slingin' fireballs here, lightning bolts there, whole place is covered in a gatdamn snow storm for some reason, there's sheep every fuggen where... You learn to keep yer head down or lose it.
Grubby has first-hand experience with attacks that hit wide areas and has learned the hard way that they hit hard and they hurt. Grub has a 10% extra chance to dodge AoE attacks by ducking at the right time. He also has a slight advantage in dodging out of the way of traps that he triggers using the same experience.
-Racial Strength Name: Rubbery Bone Structure -Description: Somethin' not a lot of people know about gobs is "How the fuck that rat bastard get in there?" or "I hit that ugly fuck as hard as I can, how come he ain't dead?" and I'll tell ya a secret: it's all in the bones. Y'see a gobs bones ain't like people bones. They're flexible like sheep stomach. So next time you see a gob contort himself through a hole the size of a tankard'a ale or get walloped by a golem and keep on chuggin' you'll know.
Grubby, as a goblin, has more ligaments interlacing in his bones than in other creatures making him incredibly flexible in addition to acting as a form of shock absorption. Just as he says he can squeeze into spaces about with a 10" diameter opening as long as he has room to maneuver his body. In addition to this when a goblin is struck by a strong force their bones bend with the strike or bounce around instead of outright breaking. A goblin can walk away from a fall at terminal velocity, and although he won't be in good shape he will indeed be walking away. They take blunt strikes better than other races too as long as their organs don't take too much pressure. This of course only applies to real-world effects.
Character Weaknesses:
-Weakness Name: Dumber'n a Box o' Shit -Description: So I got a friend named Hilderbrandt the Luminous 'n he's one o' them wizard magic folk. I know, I know, he picked it himself, I get my digs in whenever we're out havin' a pint. But yeah, he's the one that's good with the spells. I ain't even know how to read. You ain't need to read to stab a man in the gut anyway.
Grubby isn't skilled with the intricacies of magic, technology, or even that chain of logic that leads one to be capable with those tasks. True to his word, he also can't read. Grubby's PMstr is decreased by 15%.
-Weakness Name: Bad Back -Description: I been in the game a while, kid, and these old bones ain't gettin' any younger. Every time I get up in the mornin' sounds like a herd'a cattle are walkin' on acorns. When I bend down 'n pick somethin' up y'hear a crack like a whip. Holy fuggen Azmodeus I need to retire.
Grubby's an older goblin and isn't as spry as he used to be. If Grubby gets knocked down in battle he loses his Quick Old Bastard Strength and gains a 10% Luck penalty until the end of the battle or until a healing skill is used on him.
-Weakness Name: Damn Dirty Habit -Description: Uuuuooof...! *hack hack wheeze hack hack* Myaaaah... Fuck it sucks gettin' old... Been smokin' since, what, I killed my first boar? Mind you I mighta been no more than three rotations at the time. Anyway moral of this lil' story is don't ever smoke and if you do yer gonna look like me one day. Well maybe not this bad, but trust me it's gonna be ugly.
Grubby is a heavy smoker, favoring pipes and cigars and when he's not on a job he's constantly lighting up. This obviously impacts his stamina and after a long flurry of activity he might just break out into a coughing fit. The smell lingers too, and anything attempting to find him via scent will locate him more easily.
-Weakness Name: Slummy Gutter Rat -Description: Know what I can't stand? Those hoighty toity fuckers at the top that ain't ever had to have sleep for dinner. Yeah you know the type. Got their salad fork on one side and the meat fork on another and they're adjustin' their monocles and they got this scoff like Harumph! That's what they say, they say Harumph! Rich bags of floppy cocks wouldn't know what to do with themselves if the caca really hit the fan.
Because of Grub's behavior and appearance he won't find any favor in the Middle or Top Wards, or anywhere generally nice for that matter. He might not be able to gain entrance to certain facilities and security will be sure to keep him under closer watch. That is unless he's the victim, then they might just turn a blind eye.
Because people don't want Old Grub shopping in places and smelling up the store they often overprice their stock, making Grubby pay 10% from shops other than his own.
-Weakness Name: Newfangled Pieces of Crap -Description: So's I see I'm the only one totin' around a bow here. Everyone else got fancy schmancy iron boxes or wands or whatever the fuck that go "pop" and shit dies. That's swell, real fuggin' swell. You can dodge an arrow, catch it, bat it away, ya had options. How the hell do I compete with "point and go boom"? That shit ain't natural.
Grubby is easier to hit with Gun attacks by 10%.
-Racial Weakness Name: Weak Little Creatures -Description: Remember when I was talkin' about bones? ...I ain't hittin' on ya, ya goofy fuck! Now git yer dick out of yer ears! Now how we got flexible bones, know what we don't got? Strength. Orcs got strength. Dwarves got strength. Even the pinkies got strength but we ain't got nothin'. Those rubbery bones like to bend when you put too much weight on'em.
Bones are the foundation of muscle and work as the lever that muscles use to move weight. Now when those levers bend easily it's not a good thing. While goblins can squeeze into tight spaces and survive long falls they can't move a whole lot of weight, especially for their size. At a maximum Grubby will be able to lift a little over a hundred pounds with a full-body lift and that's including his own weight. Any heavier than that and his skeleton won't be able to structurally support it, his knees will buckle, his arms will bend, and his spine will snake out from under him.
Strength/Weakness Effects on RP right now:
I'm quick on the fuggen draw an' used to climbin' 'round my enemies an' slippin' a knife where it's gonna bring'em to the ground. I ain't stronger'n this thing but less'n it can rip me off it's back an' I'm bettin' I'm to quick fer that to happen it ain't gonna get me offa it. Know just where I'm gonna stab, too.
Soul Skill - Backstab:
Soul Skill Name: Backstab Persona Name: Kesson Rel Tier: Tier 1 Cost: None Type of Damage: Passive Description: "Never any such thing as a clean fight. You get in, hit'em, and get out, but you hit'em hard and you make damn sure you hit'em so hard they never get back up again. Use distractions, get in close, and go for the little nook under the ribcage."
Grubby's all too familiar with striking an opponent's vitals in combat and due to his size and strength this is really the only way he can bring someone down. Kesson Rel is a representation of this roguish training: one who's familiar with anatomy and where to hit someone to get them to drop. Of course, you can't backstab someone if they're looking straight at you.
If Grubby has not been targeted by an attack or skill on the enemy's last turn his critical hit chance is increased by 10%. In PvP this critical hit chance will apply if an opponent cannot tell exactly where he is when he strikes or is engaged in any distracting task that will take focus away from Grubby.

The creature let out a howl of pain as Grubby dug his knife into it. The long dented blade at his side seemed to reverberate with the screech, almost as if it were resonating with the creature. This momentary lack of focus allowed Alister the opportunity to plant a boot on the creature's chest and kick it off with one strong push. Grubby's blade fell out of the creature's back as it staggered back and shook him off. Grubby would land a few feet from where the beast shakily stood to it's full height. Unleashing a loud call that rang though Grubby's mind, invoking images of a his flesh being pealed away by a cloaked figure, the smell of cheep wood and salt filling his nose.
Before he or Alister could react, the creature took off towards room 30, leaving a trail of fallen meat and blood in it's path.
Alister quickly scrambled to his feet to give chase, however was quickly brought back down by an the intense pain and light headedness that had come from the massive amounts of blood he had lost.
Grubby was relatively unhurt by the encounter.

I stab deep but I don't get the vertebrae, got it in the shoulder instead. But I do a number on it, damn near tear its fuggen shoulder off. My grip ain't good enough 'round its throat there an' it throws me off'a it, but I land on my feet an' tumble a few more. Dropped my knife there an' draw the other one, put my arm 'cross my throat in the good ol' "cloak an' dagger" grip. Defensive stance there, protects yer neck, easy to counterstrike with, an' ya can jump backward easy if'n shit gets a bit too hot fer ya. But it don't come to that. The way that thing screamed... reminds me'a one'a them Gibberin' Mouthers. Big hunks a ugly, crawling stinkin' shit what says the most horrible things y'ever did hear. Does the same thing this thing did, puts thoughts in yer head there... bad ones... I could almost feel the knife scrapin' my bones, field-dressin' me like a fresh-killed buck...
I hesitated. I ain't never hesitate, that's how damn bad this thing was, I'm tellin' ya it was a special kind'a fugged up. I almost take off after it just as quick as I see it runnin' but I see the cap'n a the guard try'n give chase. An' fuggen fail at it. That's a dead man walkin' right there. Men this cut up don't get to see sunrise. Now, I been here b'fore, an' I keep sayin' it but it keeps bein' fuggen true. Normal man ain't gonna survive this. I know a thing're two 'bout killin', an' I know if'n ya lose that much blood it's curtains. Ain't my job to take care'a the wounded neither, that always belong to someone else but it is my damn job to get this jagoff some help as the scout. I ain't got no love fer the guards but they's doin' their jobs, even if they're damn job is makin' me half fuggen deaf. Now I gots me a hard decision to make.
I seen a lotta things. I know men that can live through this here, tough bastards. Might be able to save'im. I thumb my satchel fer a sec. Don't got no Bandages, right when I need'em. But I got me some sutures, they ain't the best but they'll do in a pinch, some healin' Medicine too. But I can't let that thing go. If'n I let it go it could get someone else're we might not be able to catch this thing. It ain't an easy choice, but none'a my choices ever been easy. I ain't happy lettin' a good man die alone but there's bigger things at fuggen stake here, son. Gotta think a the bigger picture there, gotta think'a the greater good. Save a life an' endanger more're leave'im to die an' make damn sure none'a them townies get what's comin' to'em.
Grubby closes his eyes, and thinks about what he wants to do...
>1. I got time to pick this guy up an' keep'im safe. Milton'n the others can hold that thing off long enough fer me to get back in the action. >2. This man's dead aready, he's just still breathin'. If I don't get my ass movin' he ain't gonna be the only on.

I look at the guard bleedin' out on the ground there, just fer a moment. This is what he signed up fer. Ain't no one sign him up but him. Ya make a pledge to give yer life fer the people'a yer city sometimes that's what happens, ya get dealt a bad hand an' ya gotta follow through. I didn't come here to save no guards from gettin' in over their heads now, I came to stop monsters from killin' the townsfolk an' if that there Sinspawn gets away I done broke that promise. He lost a lotta blood already, I ain't got the tools to save'im without no Bandages an' even if I did it'd take a fuggen miracle. Rather spend my miracles puttin' freaks in the ground, somethin' I got more control over. If I stop here ain't nothin' stoppin' it.
I take off at a dash, pickin' my dagger up off the ground as I follow where the monster went. S'easy, got me a blood trail. Just like trackin' a kill. An' I'm a goblin rogue. We're killers, all'a us. Ain't no use fightin' the facts. I'm a killer with a fuggen conscience, I ain't no damn hero. But I can kill the things that deserve it 'fore they can do worse than I can. High time I start makin' good on my trainin'. Put my dagger in the reverse grip there as I start runnin'. Gonna rip this thing's throat out. Gonna have to. Ain't got no choice.

I chase the monster. Gonna stop this thing 'fore it gets too far.
Alister sighed as he propped himself up on the tree. Whoever this little green guy was, he clearly knew how to defend himself from how he handled that knife. While he would have rather he be able to stand and give chase and the civilian stay behind. Letting that thing out of sight was a bad idea, especially with how little that club of busy bodies could do if they got cornered by it. Alister watched as Grubby took off and then set about doing his best to staunch his bleeding. He bit down hard on the handle of his own knife as he applied the still glowing barrel of his hand cannon to his puncture wounds. Wouldn't do much for the internal bleeding, but that was a problem for later. He just hoped Grubby could find the damn thing before it was to late.
"If shit hits the fan!" Alister called out, hopeing Grubby could still hear him "Get the women out of here! You understand me you green shit!?"
Alister has been left behind. He will remember this.
--- -- - MAP UPDATE
Following the trail of blood Grubby would soon come upon the creature as it limped slightly. The wounds it sustained in it's scuffle with Alister had proven pivotal, as without them the slight hesitation in Grubby's decision would have proven costly.
It would turn to him, it's mouth hanging open like a puppet's. Suddenly, it began to emit screams, some men, some women, mostly children. The screams were of a primal, fearful verity. Pleas for mercy and freedom... pleas for death above all else.
The creature was not going to run this time.
Though injured, the creature's Ego form is intact.... Be careful seeker

This thing ain't hard to find, s'fuggen fallin' apart all over the place. Ain't surprised it ain't dead yet. These things're like cockroaches, stubborn fuggen pieces a work. Don't even matter what it is, all these beasts are the damn same: mindless killin' machines. I hear the guard call out after me, cursin' my damn name. That's good there. If he got some fight in'em it means he might not be callin' it quits yet, but sometimes ya ain't get the choice. Don't regret leavin'im behind, I don't got time fer regrets. Regrets are what keep ya from sleepin're what got ya livin' at the bar picklin' yerself from the inside out, they don't belong out here. I got no time fer nothin' but urgency an' I'm gonna put as many holes as I can in this thing til one'a us stops movin'.
I run up on the beast there. It roars at me. It sounds like death. Nah, nah ya got me all wrong there. This thing don't sound scary, 'least not in the sense ya think yer gonna bite the big one. Don't sound evil neither. Sounds like death. Sounds like men dyin', women, 'lil kids... I know them sounds. They ain't good sounds. I don't stop runnin' when it turns at me. I don't hesitate easy an' I sure as shit don't do it twice in a scrap. Feel the goose pimples raise on the back'a my neck. I still don't stop runnin'. It's either him're me, an' I'm the only one standin' in the way a everyone else. I run right at it, then slash 'cross my body but I don't hit it. I didn't want to, that's what a strong attacker'd wanna do but not me, I ain't strong. I'm quick'n skilled s'what I is. Now he's gonna do one'a two things, gonna flinch'n go backward're it's gonna lunge at me. I'm gamblin' on lunge. When I make my fake strike I use the movement of my body to dip to my left'n outta the way of a straight lunge then explode right, drivin' my dagger outward to get a shot at its side. Goin' right fer the divot in the knee there, can't go fer the neck all the time. Gonna bring this jagoff down to my level then we'll see what's what.

Just as Grubby predicted the beast lunged forth when given the opening giving him the chance to drive his attack home. However the only rewards he got for his efforts were a slightly dulled blade, a small spurt of blood and the creature's teeth digging into the back of his neck.

I miss my mark there, get'im right on the knee cap instead'a in that 'lil nerve pocket on the side. I try to keep movin' so I can get the damn thing in the back when I feel its teeth sink into the back of my shoulders, real high up there. That ain't a real good feelin' I tell ya, an' I know I can't whip around're else its gonna cut me up damn good. I dive forward in a roll instead so to get its chompers outta my backside without rippin' me to fuggen shreds. Wanted to get real close an' tear it to pieces there but I gotta keep my distance if'n I wanna walk away. "Shit-eatin' bastard!" I yell at it, twistin' my knife 'tween my fingers there an' side-armin' it at its chest.

A twisting laughter echoed from the fresh wound on the Acolyte's chest. Grubby's attack struck home and did it's damage, however it was far from effective in slowing it down. Instead it reared back and spread it's claws wide, each seeming to turn somewhat ethereal before coming down at an angle on grubby's back, attempting not to dig them in but to graze them across, pealing off skin as they went through his cloths and only cut into his flesh.

This thing's way too big an' ornery fer me to take down the normal way. I don't even know if it feels pain, that'd be a bad day right there. I could probably gut the damn thing an' it won't even bat an eye. My knife goes into its chest but don't penetrate, musta hit it on the ribcage there. Then it's on me like flies on dogshit, fuggen quick sumbitch. This thing's fightin' stupid too but I can't do nothin' about it, it's too damn quick'n strong.
"Rrrrrraaargh!" I shout as I feel it tear into my back. Feel the claws under my damn skin, fiddlin' 'round under there, tryin'a field dress me where I stand. Now it's loomin' over me. That ain't a good idea, like I was talkin' about. Were this one'a them normal creatures I'd shove my dagger all the way up in its damn chest cavity and wouldn't stop til it came down on top a me but I can't do it this time. No, not this time. It ain't gonna stop if I do it. I duck down to get some breathin' room'n tear off my cloak, throwin' it back up in its face to blind it fer a second. I take the opportunity to tumble 'tween its open legs'n grab my dagger off the ground. While its workin' with my cloak I pop a healin' potion, drinkin' it down quick as I can. I take my dagger back up in the cloak'n dagger stance, next time it comes at me I'm gonna put it somewhere that counts.
"*gulp... gulp...* Haa, c'mon ya walkin' sack'a spoiled shit! Killed plenty'a you in my day!"

'Least I got to finish my damn potion 'fore it cuts me a new one. As I chug the damn thing down I throw the empty bottle at it when it runs after me, maybe get it in the eye. Forgot it ain't got no eyes. Well fuck me sideways an' call me gnomish. Starts talkin' in my head, must'a been from the bite. Yeah, Sinspawn aright. Them's nasty motherfuckers. They fill yer head with bad thoughts when they bite ya but I never let it take me over. Saw Alabastor got bit by one an' fell to the voices once. Now y'see Sinspawn got them elements to'em, an' each one's diff'rent. Gluttony, Pride, Greed... Alabastor got bit by one'a Lust. Y'ever see a Dwarven champion'a good quit a fight to the death an' start strippin'? That was some weird shit I tells ya. This one wants me to fuggen kill myself but the jokes on it, I fuggen smoke half a pound a day so I'm way ahead'a it.
But enough jaw jackin'. So there I was with it bearin' down on me, bottle don't do nothin'. Takes a piece'a my damn shoulder with them claws an' I get to doin' what the rogues do an' what I shoulda done when I started. Y'see we rogues like to get real cozy in a fight, right up on yer ass. Makes it easier to hit the sweet spot with yer killin' iron there. Now this thing's just loomin' over me like it got somethin' to prove. I get my knife in a punchin' grip an' go straight up through them open ribs. Ain't gonna get too many shots in this close but if'n I can put it down quick I can mount it an' get to stabbin', kill this thing 'fore I can't stand no more.

The creature's ribs seemed to tighten around Grubby's blade in an attempt to hold it in place as it pulled the fingers on one of it's hands into a tight pack, intent on driving it directly into Grubby's spine.

My knife don't get too far in his chest there, s'fuggen solid muscle. Can't find the weakspot on this damn thing, s'like stabbin' a fuggen well-done steak. Then I can start feelin' it tuggin' back. Gotta tell ya my butthole puckered somethin' fierce there, let go of my damn dagger fast as I could an' shifted backward but I weren't quick enough. Ya'd think fer bein' as small as I am that I can't put up a damn fight. Lemme tell ya now. I kill punkass dipshits what think that way fer not knowin' better. Bein' small means I only gotta defend in one direction, ya understand?
It goes fer my back but gets the shoulder blade instead. Hurts like a fuggen BITCH I tells ya. Don't know what it's fingers're made a but they go right through the damn skin and into the bone. I shout out an' get turnin', put my injured side toward the monster as I take a couple shufflin' steps off. S'another thing, if ya get hurt in a fight always turn yer injured side to the enemy if it ain't vital. Reason bein' is I can fight with one arm but ain't no one fightin' with none. It ain't doin' me nothin' but bein' a chunk a flesh an' bone 'tween me an' that cooked goose lookin' bastard over there.
I shuffle backwards to get some distanced an' pull another vial off my belt there, quaffin' it down like it's the last thing I'll ever drink cuz it fuggen might be.

Had Grubby's retreat been the only thing the Acolyte had to focus on it would not have succeeded for long, however, Azul's sudden and rather loud entrance drew the creature's attention from the old Goblin. This caused it to turn it's eyeless face towards the young Seeker and, with a shriek like that of a banshee, lunge towards him claws outstretched.
