The Last Mission (Theda) Empty
PostSubject: The Last Mission (Theda)   The Last Mission (Theda) EmptyTue Nov 03, 2015 1:38 pm

Outside, a single figure would be watching the group at the tower. On orders from a person, they had to worry about what happened there, while they sat there twiddling their thumbs. It was fucking stupid. She even got a couple messages from some that hardly mattered right now. Luckily, she learned a thing or two about one of them in particular. Regardless, a power was hers that she hardly had tried before until fighting off Nesoi. It was perfect. With a flick of her wrist, all people around Theda would begin to vanish, and the scenery around them began to change as an orb came from this person to expand up to their end. Of course, they weren't vanishing, Theda herself was just being transported. Her vision would change into a void of gold, and orbs would decorate the sky. The orb was more than thirty meters in total diameter, and it seemed that flashes of the others would be seen, but they could not be spoken to or interacted with. Theda was well and truly alone, or at least so she thought. In a few moments, a single woman with shortened hair walked through into the near middle of the dome.

Theda stopped dead in her tracks when put into the bubble, taking in her surroundings. It seemed she was somewhere else, but she could also still see everyone outside of it in little flashes, but she opted to ignore that and only focus on the woman who had just appeared in front of her. Smiling, she'd hold onto the straps of her bag, looking towards the woman. "So you're the one he finally sent to play with me? I didn't know Nyar-chan was so generous that he'd let me see my last wish through before deciding he had to kill me." She let go of the straps and Bun-bun in her hands now, snuggling it gently. "I don't blame you for this, you're just following orders. But keep in mind that I won't just sit here and die." She'd continue to smile, staying in the same place but she was still prepared for anything that could happen. Her shadow persona was like a gun, and she was ready to pull the trigger at the sign of danger. "Good luck to you though!" She'd continue to smile, sounding very genuine with her statements but still happy in the face of death.

"Good, glad we're on the same page. No need to waste time then. Not sure why you left who you joined. Sure they're a fucker, but who isn't around here? Maybe you should've just tried to keep them happy if all that was going to happen was us winning. But alright, I can test out my new powers." She said, as she clutched her head, and in place of her deep blue eyes, eyes of a golden hue replaced them. And soon, a Persona appeared behind her, standing easily almost seven feet. Rinna had trained rather hard, and she still hadn't even fully grown. This was the first time when using her powers did she feel any kind of euphoria. It was an absolute hell, and yet she loved being this deep in the shit so much. However, she knew that this was merely a taste of what she could really do, or so the Crawling Chaos told her. Apparently she had greater things in store for her. And given what has happened over this year of conflict and fighting; despite every bit of denial she had to try and push these powers away..

She believed Him...

"Well this bubble doesn't look too sturdy, and I know I could pop it no problem." Theda smiled as she snapped her fingers, causing one of the twins to appear out of a pink fog. The reverse persona smiled herself before the shadow felt a small boost in power, one that wouldn't be as strong because of the bubble, but it definitely did put her back to her normal damage output. Within a few seconds, her body would glow a bright pink and she would feel something building inside her; this was a power she was all but too familiar about. "I bet you don't even know my name at all, but you're so willing to kill me because someone told you to? Do you even know why I left Nyarlathotep in the first place?" She continued to smile, but only because it was in her nature to be happy at all times. At this moment, she didn't move again, and still stood closer to the edge of the bubble than Rinna who was in the middle. She had no idea what this girl was capable of, but she was determined to survive.

The Last Mission (Theda) 20jhl5i

Hmph, so the fledgling didn't fall for it huh? Or maybe she was just too dumb to try. Alright then, that gave her enough time. She held her left hand out, and a strange glow of red appeared for a brief moment on her hand, and seemingly all at once, the dome began to glow a strange shade of red. It seemed strengthened more than it was before. What was that power that she just called upon? She winced and felt a sting, and looked at her left hand, and shook her head before looking to her right. Something was hurting her....the cost of it all maybe? Regardless, as she was using her skill, her Persona began to tumble towards her, clearly faster at first than Theda herself, while Rinna ran after it, pulling out from her pocket what appeared to be a small blade the size of a knife. While the Persona closed in, she would hurl the knife at Theda, aiming for her right shoulder. The scary part about this knife in particular, was that it was indeed very real, and would presumably do real damage, be it draw blood or land right in her shoulder. At the time of the throw, She would have closed the distance to about ten meters before throwing. "I know who you are Shadow. Or at least, I know enough that I need to know to kill you. You left such an opportunity; you could have been great. But it's alright, you can be a weakling like the rest. Now you can just be a Nobody instead of Somebody's Shadow." While she still ran towards her, her Persona would have stopped at around the fifteen meter mark, still in the middle of both sides of the dome from Theda's perspective. From then, it would point its single arm out, which suddenly split by the ends into five large nail-like blades which shot out immediately, grinding across the ground to hit the back of the dome. Three were on Theda's left, while two on the right, however both of which blades would be no more than five or so meters away. Rinna herself was between the latter two on her left. This of course would leave her boxed in, as the blades were as long as the distance the Persona was, and just at the top of the dome. It was a small area for Theda to move around in, and it also left her at Rinna's mercy.

"Tsk....this is too easy. Let's end this now Mril Thorion..." From then, the blades would close in on Theda, like two walls crushing a victim. Should Theda attempt to move forward, the walls would naturally hit her even faster, as the blades still came in at an angle. If she attempted to move to the side or otherwise try to sidestep it, the nails would follow her to keep her within the attack. Of course, the nails would lift over Rinna to avoid her if they had to. Being at the end of the dome, she now had very little to run to, so either she had to tackle this attack head on, or try something else. Let's see if the little welp had some fight in her.

PostSubject: Re: The Last Mission (Theda)   The Last Mission (Theda) EmptyThu Nov 05, 2015 9:00 pm

Theda found herself in the corner, and there really was no way out but to fight. She was strong, but not strong enough to burst the bubble after it was powered up, so all there was left to do was to fight her way out. Without hesitation, she transformed into her True Self, a flurry of pink fog flowing down until she was in the small form. The knife flew above her just in time and she avoided it since it was aimed way too high for her true self to be hit. Soon enough, she felt her speed from her human skill kick in, but she wouldn't move at all, instead standing still as her body started to split down the middle, her color becoming mixed. "I am a shadow, but I'm also my own person, and I'm not ready to lose to a person like you." Before the attacks had time to hit her, she would summon one of her powers that came from her reverse personas. A icy path would flow from in front of her towards Rinna, moving quickly until it was 9 meters around her, just enough to reach around her without touching Theda. The ice would then form into spikes, quickly stabbing up towards Rinna. If she tried to move quickly on the ice, she would most likely slip and fall.

The shadow continued to smile as she cast the spell again, causing more ice spikes to fly up directed at Rinna. The first spikes went up by about 5 meters and were all directed at the child herself, but the next two sets of them would be about ten meters high. One final flurry of spikes appeared outside of the 15 meters high ice floor, getting to full height before falling towards the middle, attempting to crush the woman in the middle of the puddle. Finally her body would start to build up energy, saving up for her speed. This was all in attempt to knock Rinna unconscious before she could land her attack, since it had not hit her yet. And since this was the only thing Theda had left, she was confidant that she would at least hold the woman off until further notice. She hoped it wouldn't kill her at all, just knock her unconscious, killing wasn't her intention but she wasn't going to sit by and die.

The Last Mission (Theda) 20jhl5i

Of course Theda going into Massacre was a bold and pretty much her best choice, however there remained a few problems with her attack. The obvious one being that her magic skill did not clash directly with Rinna's own skill which was physical. Which meant that while her attack went through, Rinna's attack would still crush her. Though Theda's first attack would certainly go through her Persona and hit it; giving Rinna a sort of grunt, Theda had little way of knowing where Rinna was in the attack, and could easily move inbetween the blades, closer to her Persona. So not only was Theda's ice path incredibly inaccurate, it also covered only nine meters from Theda to Rinna, and Rinna was specifically ten meters away. Her attack was fast, and it did come close, but it just was not enough to even worry Rinna, and so she merely watched as ice spikes flew up in front of her. Perhaps if Theda was more specific and acted a little more creative with her attack, maybe she could have gone for a major threat. Regardless, after the attack went through her Persona, Mril Thorion raised her hand immediately and shortened the blades in order to do so, just human height and enough to reveal Rinna's location. During that short moment of time, a knife suddenly appeared in Rinna's hand once more, and flung it, aiming for Theda's chest. The difference before is that this time were it to hit her, it would hit her soul, revealing its nature as a soulbound weapon. Regardless of how small it was, it was an obvious threat seeing as how it was coming straight at her at a quick speed given her arms had quite the workout. She was definitely stronger than she looked. After that tiny half second, the Persona's hand came back down, and instead of the five blades, only two remained to either side of Theda, beding and twirling around her body into a spiral column up to the dome, made of the two nail-blades, either side five meters once more. The column would close in, boxing herself in and once again being chocked out of options by the attack. Rinna meanwhile while currently in the same position, would begin to retreat, moving right near the Persona, giving more distance between her and Theda. If this attack wasn't going to hit, she'd be very surprised, as the attack left her with little option. "Hm? Is that all you got? I was expecting more from you. You shirked off your Father. Shadows are odd things..." She was certainly sure of herself, since the attacks were beginning to drain her. She had to however make quick work of this person in order to finish her job. She had no time to play nice; not in this fight, not when there were several that could be watching.

Theda's attack missed, of course. But the ice would still remain there, in between her and Rinna and probably blocking the other woman's view of the shadow. Before anything else was thrown at her, she would stomp her front paw onto the ground slightly, feeling a healing aura go through her. Then Rinna's attacks came at her one at a time, and she would move a bit away from the wall, but mostly saying close to it for when the bubble popped. She took both attacks and barely withstood them, causing her to tap her paw onto the ground twice again, feeling the healing aura overcome her again. Sure she could continue like this, but for how long? And once this bubble came down, she knew she was going to lose her True Self, then all she'd have is her build up speed, and that might not be enough to run, it all came down to these final moments. She continued to smile, but it was quiet possible that the woman couldn't see her because of the ice spikes in the middle of them. Soon enough, she'd feel the build up in speed again. When this bubble came down, she was ready to book it no matter what, and she didn't want to be caught at the last moment when she was almost home free.

The Last Mission (Theda) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Last Mission (Theda)   The Last Mission (Theda) EmptyFri Nov 06, 2015 12:49 am

Theda wasn't as smart as she thought she was, and felt the final hit strike her, causing her to quickly pop back into her original form. She stood still for a few seconds, grasping at her head. This really was the end wasn't it? Even her beautiful ice in-between her and the woman had melted, it was all over now. Though she had to stay awake, even for a few moments. "I... need to tell you something... Even if it won't matter... to you." She smiled, even though she could feel her consciousness slipping away from her. "I am grateful... grateful that he gave me life... but I can't help but feel guilty for the way I came about this power... Killing my original self, who in no way deserved to die. She was so innocent, she just was a bit moody is all. That's the reason I left... I didn't want to kill anyone anymore. So you had an advantage on me, you had the intention to kill me." She smiled a bit more, feeling a few tears fall down her face. "I fulfilled her final wish, and I knew I would have to die sooner or later, I just didn't think it would be this soon. But hey, that's life right?" Looking up at Rinna she would sigh and sit down, holding Bun-bun. "You have a lot of power, and frankly, Nyarlathotep is a crybaby. He didn't deserve me, and he doesn't deserve you. Keep in mind that you're your own person, and he shouldn't be able to tell you how to live your life." Sure this girl had spewed a lot of rude things out at Theda, but the shadow herself was way to nice to say anything else.

The Last Mission (Theda) Tumblr_n3yxxbXMWI1rikp86o1_500

"Yeah you... don't care. And I'm not going to ask you to spare me, because you're following orders. Plus you have no feelings towards me, so I wouldn't expect it." She'd kiss bun-bun's head, smiling. "Goodnight old friend. We're going to go on an adventure. And at the end, we're going to see Theda again. Then I can finally tell her I'm sorry." Sure Rinna might laugh at her, or think she's weak for having feelings like that, but the shadow didn't care. Soon enough, she would lay back, holding her stuffed rabbit as she closed her eyes and went unconscious. It was bound to happen, but she was okay with this now, because she knew that this is what was supposed to happen. At least she died clean, and feeling purified from the death of her original. This was payback for that, and she had to pay the price of course. Now all there was to do was sleep, and then she'd be somewhere else if Rinna went through with it. But what was going to stop her? Nothing could save the Shadow of Theda Malice now, and she knew that, which is why she was ready to leave. It was all a matter of time before the cry baby's slave took her life.

Since healing is impossible until the threats were gone, the attacks would end up going through anyway. Good attempt, and there were a few ways to escape, for one being that her Persona was always in danger when getting so close to her, so Theda had a chance. But whatever made Rinna's job easier. The Shadow would appear to be completely asleep. The hand of Mril Thorion would return to its former size, and Rinna would walk over to Theda's unconscious body. Instantly, her knife would appear in her hand, and she would smirk. Words meant nothing in the face of results. "Tsk. It doesn't matter what you say. You ran, and you fought, and lost. So you get to go now." She held the knife in her hand, but something in her held her tightly. She had never taken a life before. She....couldn't help it. She was afraid. Once she did this, there was no going back. Even after it all turned grey for her, she couldn't help but feel something again during this moment. What would happen now? Would she be a criminal? Not if she got caught. But who would know? She's fought monsters bigger than Theda, but she halts on what isn't even human? She thought of the people who were there that stopped her from being a killer, people like Naomi, and Simon. Those were the ones that stayed when she needed it. They helped her. They...held her back. She didn't need them to tell her what was right. It was the truth. The Crawling Chaos was right, and they were all she needed. She had friends yes, but that didn't matter when she had what she wanted. She finally had the revenge, and control she wanted, needed even. There was nothing to be said.

......

She knelt down, and brought the blade over the Shadow's neck, and trembled, for a few seconds, before gritting her teeth, and sliding it brutally along it, slitting her throat, and finally ending the life of Theda Malice. She did it. It was over...and she had killed someone. The feeling both made her thrilled and want to throw up. She took a moment to take it all in, before taking the knife and driving it between her chest for good measure. Perhaps she thought the Shadow might have been alive. She didn't know. But at least it was over, and she murdered someone. Someone died, because of her.... But she couldn't simply leave the body. It was suspicious enough to those nearby that she vanished. She had to get rid of her. Rinna certainly couldn't go back to see the others, not now or not for a long time. She picked her body up rather easily with her own strength, and went towards the side of the dome that Rinna came in on. Soon after, the dome would finally clear, revealing a nearby alleyway that Rinna hid in to keep herself hidden. She would run down the alleyway out of sight after a turn. Gonea was up until recently there, so no normal person would be around the area. After a turn, a sudden blaze of hot light could be faintly seen down the turn, before soon fizzling out. Simon of course saw this, being closer to her than anyone, but not trying to draw attention to himself, he merely watched. He didn't know exactly who it was, but he had a feeling. He fled the scene in a different direction, intent on finding the source of this. Would there be tears, or anger? Would there be anything? Of course not. It was done, and nothing more need be said. Whatever feeling there was had now been locked away, along with the rest of the pain and crime the woman would forever shoulder.

PostSubject: Re: The Last Mission (Theda)   The Last Mission (Theda) EmptyFri Nov 06, 2015 2:34 am

One second there was a dome, the next it was gone. Also missing was the girl that had been dragged into the dome. What the heck? There was no way that was natural, which made it supernatural. So, even after the Mother was gone, one person had the power to make something so grand happen? That was unsettling. Who even had that much power on Azores? She wasn’t sure, but she had to follow it.

Of course, that was hard given the person who summoned the dome was already gone. There was no trace of either of them left. It was like the air had taken them. Or, maybe the dome had? Something had taken them. Or, maybe it was it was the strange light that had suddenly decided to appear and then vanish. Well, that was weird if she had ever seen it. Thank goodness the supernatural tended to be everywhere. Well, not anymore. Now it was just a trail. One that she was losing with each passing second.

She could chase it, but… She kicked her heels off and ran into the alleyway where she saw the light. Her shoe choice was stupid anyway. She needed to be able to run, not stand around like an idiot. She ignored the other figure she saw for only a split moment and followed the direct lead. Why was he here? Was he trying to find the source too, or was he going to ignore it? She didn’t know.

All she knew was that she had to follow whatever this was. Maybe find the one that summoned the dome and the missing girl. This entire Event should have been over, so what just happened? She needed to know. Good thing alleys tended to only go in one direction. That meant the source would be trapped until the exit. And at that point, she would be able to see who was the odd one out. Perfect make-shift plan.

The Last Mission (Theda) Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Last Mission (Theda)   The Last Mission (Theda) EmptyFri Nov 06, 2015 3:12 am

That was enough coffee for the day.

There was still the Mother that he--no, whoever was at the tower had to deal with. Joshua really needed that breather after spending nearly all day inside the infested Standansen Stadium and the Primordial's home, fighting Nesoi, and witnessing the final sacrifice of someone he never knew. There was still business to be finished. It was something that Joshua was set on doing back in the aftermath of Nesoi's destruction. To finally get this whole shit over with.

But it truly seemed that it was finished by the time he arrived at the streets near the Radio Tower. From the looks of it, Nozomi, Naomi, and others had dealt with it. Joshua curled a smirk at Nozomi particularly from the distance.

"Looks like he's done his part too."

And of course, there seemed to be Simon just standing there in front of Joshua with a couple of feet away. But he couldn't go out to bother him. From the slight angle that he stood, the bespectacled young man was just looking at the slowly disappearing spectacle. Something within Joshua told him not to bother the former Angel by the expression that he wore. This whole departure had meaning to Simon and the newcomer knew it.

But Joshua, on the other hand, was somber as well and relieved. It was over. Finally. Or so he thought. There was one girl that was on the team. She was just there and then suddenly disappeared to his surprise. Was this some kind of unique ability from having a Persona like Joshua had with Bedivere?

It was hard to tell. But, what he could definitely tell was that there was a flash of light and then nothing. Did she just teleport or something...? Just as he was just staring where Theda had just disappeared from, he noticed Simon started to run. Something was up, and he had to know.

Joshua ran after Simon, following him as he hastened himself. But of course, from the corner of his eye, Naomi was also coming. Did she find something as well? What was it? And wasn't the Event supposed to be over?

All these uncertainties... They never failed to bother the hell out of Joshua.

OOC: Time to go after the waifu. If I shouldn't be here, let me know.

Obviously since the coffee store was far away and out of range of the tower, Joshua would still be on his way to the tower, hence he was still making his way there during the time. So, as Naomi herself made her way down the alleyway to see what the big deal was, she would notice a huge black scorch mark, however nothing else was around. No figure, no article of clothing, nothing. Though the fire itself looked like it was clearly recent, yet somehow it didn't spread. It was just a sudden black scar all over the middle of the alley turn and the walls. What happened out here...?

The Last Mission (Theda) Empty

Naomi nearly stopped as she saw the black sludge of a scorch mark. It took up way too much of the alleyway. So, this is what she had seen. Someone set something on fire back here. Obviously, it wasn’t natural fire. A normal fire would still be burning and would leave some evidence of what had been burned. It also wouldn’t stay so contained to one area… So, someone really still did have their power?

She looked around at the smudge to see if it contained any trace of what direction the person who was once here went. For all she knew, they could have flown out. That seemed like an odd ability, though. They couldn’t jump out of the alley, since the walls were too high. If she couldn’t find evidence of a different escape route, she would keep on track and follow the alley to its release point. She had no other idea of what to do. This was all she had.

Besides, the other person only had one way to go. Just like she did.
