Want to hang out? (Cecil / Tomomi)

He'd be lying if he tried to say he wasn't excited about this. Sat down on his sofa, the boy tapped into his phone, scrolling through until he reached Cecil's contact details, before typing out his message. It had only been recently that the two met up at the front of the school, but there was still this fire in him that wanted to chat with Cecil. Was this what having a friend was like?

Tomomi: hey!
Tomomi: you up for meeting up at my place for some vid games
Tomomi: we can play bash siblings and you can probably kick my butt at it ha ha

Smiling to himself as he hit send on each individual message, the boy leant back, waiting.

The messages poured in just seconds after sending.

CECIL: Is that even a question?
CECIL: I'll be over before you know it.
CECIL: ...wait
CECIL: When did you mean?
CECIL: I mean
CECIL: Gaaaaah
CECIL: When we doing this?
CECIL: It's happening
CECIL: But like
CECIL: Don't want to show up if work's taken too much out of you
CECIL: Had a day of a lot of assholes and biohazards
CECIL: ...I'll shut up now.

Cecil buried his face in his hand, groaning loudly as he wondered just what the fuck that was. That...was a mess of unbelievable proportions.
Even if he'd been calm about this before, it was, it was just-
He hadn't done this before.
Ever.
...and he was starting to wonder how pathetic it was that he nearly considered asking his family for advice on how the hell to handle this just then.

Tomomi: ah no i ment now if thats ok with you
Tomomi: you will need direxions to my place though witch arent super difficult to find thankfully
Tomomi: ill wait downstairs to lead you to it but its a flat near the main tokyo strip with all the busy parades constantly going
Tomomi: rents cheap thanks to the parties and parades even if its not the most pleasant place

Smiling, Tomomi waited for a reply, before getting up, flinging his jacket over his shoulder, and going outside to lean on a wall, and wait for his friend. Friend... That felt good to say.

CECIL: Oh!
CECIL: Oh yeah, that fine
CECIL: Let me get moving

It would be a decent while later when Cecil finally made it to the strip, looking around in the distance with his headphones atop his head, seeming somewhat nervous. His gaze cast about, but as much as Tomomi could see him, it seemed he was having a lot more trouble seeing Tomomi.
After a little wandering about, looking increasingly distressed, he drives the heel of his hand into his forehead and goes to one side of the street while shaking his head. An exasperated and...resigned, look rests on his features as he pulls out his phone, directed more inward than out.

CECIL: I forgot to ask whereabouts I should be looking on the strip.
CECIL: Should've really asked instead of looking around aimlessly and making you wait on me.
CECIL: Where are you?

He facepalms with a sigh, grasping at his hair at the front as he does so.

Shit. Right, proper directions. That would have been usefu- oh. There he was. Standing there, and clearly stressing out. Yikes. Well, it was about time for Tomomi to repay the favour from when the two first met.

Pushing his way past the fun goers, by which it could be better described he walked around, Tomomi walked carefully up to Cecil, calling out. "Hey! I'm right here! You made it, I'm just over there!" He declared, offering a smile to try and help calm his friend down. "When we get inside, you can get yourself settled and I'll get some drinks, okay?"

The way Cecil shunted everything off his face when he finally noticed Tomomi was far too sudden and jarring to be natural, his expression lightening just a little to something less tormented - before jerking into cheeriness as the remaining stress was ripped from his face. "Sounds good. Man, I have no idea how I didn't see you there." He laughs, though it's a little off. "Lead the way, Tomomi."

Smiling and nodding, Tomomi led Cecil down the street, crossing the road past the groups of people before leading him to one of the many flats, going up a couple of stairs, before opening the door with a push, the door seemingly unfit for the frame. "Welcome, to home!" he declared with a laugh.

Before Cecil was a place that could only be described as small and cramped, with a total of 3 rooms - a bathroom, a small kitchen with only the essentials, and a main room with a couple of seats surrounding a table with an old television, and a Funtendo Yuu on it.

Coughing slightly, Tomomi moved to try make it look slightly less bad, offering a seat before walking over to the kitchen. "Make yourself at home, and take a seat. Lemonade? Or, uh, do you have another drink that you prefer?" He asked, smiling. Hopefully he said lemonade... Judging from their last meeting, he'd assumed lemonade was Cecil's favourite, so, if it wasn't... Whoops.

"If you say so!" Cecil shakes his head, chuckling as he goes over and plonks himself down on one of the seats. "Lemonade's more than fine. No need to worry about it." He settles himself in, and once he thinks Tomomi won't notice, he releases the cheery expression briefly for one far more tense.
He'd spent half an hour wondering about aimlessly with no idea where to go, and Tomomi was going to have been waiting all that time. If he hadn't been right there by the time the smart, sensible, and just overall less stupid idea of just asking him for fucking directions occurred to him, he could have ended up spending even longer getting to where he was on account of being some random ass place the other side of Little Tokyo.
And that was if he had thought of it...Tomomi could have been there all day if the thought never came.
He'd have probably worried the hell out of him, or disappointed him, or something. And he was not doing that.
A silent breath escapes his lips as he crams away the frustration into the deepest depths of his mind again, letting his features return to relaxation.

Nodding, Tomomi went into the other room, getting a couple of glasses from the side, before moving to his fridge and opening it up, pouring out two glasses of lemonade, and bringing it back to Cecil - completely unaware of the change in Cecil's expression which had returned to relaxation by the time he was done, setting a glass down on the table in front of Cecil before sitting down. "There you go. It's... Uh... Not exactly the most high quality lemonade... Just from the dollar store but um... Enjoy anyways and try to ignore that?"

With an awkward laugh, the boy smiled before rubbing at the back of his neck, and sitting down. "So, um, I know it's not been long, but how have you been?"

Cecil grabbed the glass and took a sip, looking into the corner of his eye in a brief moment of thought before shaking his head. "It's fine. One of the great bits about lemonade? It's really...really, hard to screw up." He grins, chuckling. "It's like pizza - sure, not all of them are great, but at the end of the day it's hard to find a bad one unless someone's really screwed up."

Putting the glass back down, Cecil settled down in the chair once more, getting comfortable and trying to get rid of this frustration before it leaked. "I've been doing alright..." He looks away. "Well, mostly." He sighs.
"Maybe you heard about it...did you know there was a literature club?"

The casual conversation was nice and enjoyable for a time, Tomomi laughing and nodding in agreement with Cecil's comment on lemonade. "True true. And in this weather, the cool refreshness is welcome!"

Then the mention of what happened recently occurred. Of course Tomomi had heard of it. Pretty much most of the people at the academy had heard about it, a catastrophe so bad that it led to a student being temporarily kicked out of school, and the headmaster himself arrived. It didn't take long to put two and two together.

"Oh... Oh goodness, that was you? Oh no, I'm so sorry... Yeah, I um... I heard about it..."

Mentioning how wide spread the story was would probably not be the best idea. So, he didn't go into that bit.

"No! NO! Not me! I didn't do that! Not me!" Cecil stops waving his hands wildly in the air to groan, leaning forward and burying his face in his hand. "...but I was there...ugh. At least people don't seem to know who was involved..." He sits up, shaking his head. "I...I'm not sure what it says that walking in to find someone making moonshine wasn't even the worst bit."
"Witches...why is it always witches...?"

Moonshine? Oh goodness, that meant Cecil was the one who was subjected to...

Standing up, the boy went back to the kitchen, calling out from there. "Do you have any preference on light snacks or sweets? I've got a couple of off-brand sweets, or some packs of Joggers crisps if you're interested? Um, alternatively, I can nip to the shop really quickly if you want something else? Then when we've got snacks, we can start playing the game if you want?"

Huh? Wait wait wait, why did he just go off, what was he-
Oh.
The stricken expression fades as Tomomi makes clear what he's actually doing, but he still can't help but panic about what he might be thinking.
...he probably didn't really want to hear about it at all, did he? This was a distraction. It was a serious, blatant distraction. For both of them, really.
Too bad it wasn't working.
Fucking Rui...

Still, he forcibly perked up again, trading the miserable demeanour for saccharine cheer. "Crisps is fine! No need to go out and grab something!" Wait...did they want the excuse to get out for a moment, maybe? Get away from this? He really hoped not. He shouldn't be driving people out of their own bloody house.
AAAAAAAGH!
His grip on the chair tightened.

Upon hearing the reply, Tomomi got out a bowl, before opening a bag of Joggers crisps, salted flavour, and bringing it back in to set on the table. "Ah, there, sorry. Help yourself." Before sitting down however, the boy moved over to the TV, taking a few different remotes, including two white remotes, pressing the button on both the TV and the games console. Offering a smile to Cecil, the boy held out one of the game controllers - a white baton like remote - before sitting back down and having a sip of his lemonade. "I hope that that Bash Siblings is okay for you. I don't really have a lot of other video games that hold multi player, or, well, other games in general... Oh, but, um, if you don't want to play a game anymore that's fine too! We can just, you know, talk if you'd prefer!"
