Masquerade Ball [Cadet Dungeon/B Team]

Jackie's face remained neutral. So, there were three factors. T, Princess Lisa, and the Miasma. This was going to require some tight management. The clown seemed to have some sort of delusions of grandeur about the town, but they'd wipe the smile off his...mask. The first priority would have to be the princess, however. Jackie adjusted his grip on the trigger of his minigun. As he took a look back to Alex and Julius, he shook his head, and turned his head forward, a red colored mist starting to surround him. "Fine. We shall do this the hard way. Mission objectives noted: Rescue the Princess, - Yellow began to glow behind his sunglasses. "Apprehend Psyche Terrorist Designated 'T'." He mimicked a deep breath. The mist, and the glow, faded with that.

"Understood, Officer Tsurinai. Before we split up, however..." Jackie handed ten Snuff Souls to Albrecht. "Use these as needed. He had bought in bulk in preparation for the mission. With that said, he moved to join Shiina. "Small game are not worth the bullets. Jackie commented. "Speed is of the essence, but we must be careful. Falling into a trap within the trap we're likely already in would be...dangerous. Obviously they needed to be quick, but if they got incapacitated...

Shit really hit the fan without wasting much time. Endless spiels and laughter aside, Joseph was about to fall asleep. It was night and a busy day, sue him. But finding out Lisa was actually inside the damn thing and possibly jeopardizing the mission? It's what the Cadets really needed, the looming gas and the damsel-in-distress. Something to make their job already harder than it was before. This bitch called herself a Princess? At least she lived up to the title, but it was now a question if they could live up to their "name" as "knights" for Endymion. A snow-haired bitch with too-edgy-sci-fi-tech thousand-times-folded-Nippon-steel, a dumbass mutt that needed to be booted to the pound, a fuckboy with a big shooter to compensate for his lack of testosterone, and him. This is what he sacrificed his gaming time for? All to fuck over this sophisticated-wannabe asshole with a top hat? Fuck this night. Fuck this job. Joseph pulled on his gloves further in to give an air of professionalism and readiness.


Who the fuck made this bitch a lea--oh right, the Prince. Wasn't that sublime? His life was in the hands of some stuck-up bitch who totally needed to show off her weird ghostly persona. Last time he checked, nearly all of the Cadets had one. What even made this bitch special anyway? He couldn't complain since they were Cadets and they had their roles. Jobs, whatever. But damn, he will loathe having to work with this mongrel hanging by her. Was this supposed to be some kind of picnic? Bringing your filthy dumb dog to work? Joseph had a minimum level of expectations for the Cadets, but this just kept getting dumber and dumber the longer he stayed on with these guys.

Jackie took a deep breath, as he followed Officer Tsurinai. Something about this whole situation was just rubbing him the wrong way. The Psyche Terrorist had invited them, and greeted them as soon as they arrived. Obviously, he could just be cocky, but...something told him this wasn't the case. This was too similar-and too close-to the Serah case to just be coincidence. Was this man being manipulated by a demon as well? Everything just felt more organized than last time, and while he wouldn't disobey orders from his superior and potentially waste time looking out for traps, he still felt incredibly uncomfortable.

With all of this staged so well however...something made him wonder if this was a distraction for an even worse scheme. After all, with such a big show, and the Prince and Princess here...it wouldn't be the hardest thing in the world to have another plan going on at the same time. Or was that just what they wanted him to think? Maybe the not knowing was part of their plan as well. That...was a scary thought. For now, he'd focus on T. There was no use in going mad with worry over something that might not have even been to case, after all...though, it was easier said than done to just completely drop it.

This was all such a big show, and for what, Prince Julius? Was this truly the only way the man could think of to get the Prince's attention? Speaking of the Prince though...later he'd have to ask Officer Tsurinai how she'd come to have his Persona. Did this mean Persona's weren't unique? Did the other units have X.A.N.A. as well? He shook his head, clearing his processor. No, he could get to the bottom of that when the time was appropriate. For now, having a Persona worthy of the Prince with them was oddly comforting. He couldn't fight alongside him, but either way, his presence was surely felt. And that would have to be good enough.

"Understood, Officer Tsurinai. And ready to run Jackie was. Even without collapsing his Minigun back into the box that was his Soul Bound, he was still considerably fast. Obviously, he'd be outpaced by anyone WITHOUT a hulking gun anyway, but he wasn't falling too far behind. At least, he wasn't far enough behind to miss Officer Tsurinai pull out a completely different persona. Was...that even possible? There were people who existed with more than one? No...there had to be a more logical explanation. Obviously, her Persona was one that could copy traits of others. A useful skill to have on the battlefield, without a doubt! It appeared Officer Tsurinai and Officer Good Doggo Azami's ambush was successful.

Finishing quickly, she said. Joseph couldn't agree any more than that. The deluded mass that swarmed outside and the miasma that continued to spread already tipped off that this whole building was crawling with these insane people. That Serah bitch was creepy enough, but more might just kill him out of sheer annoyance.  What the hell was so funny? This motley crew of losers banded together under a douchebag prince? Maybe he can actually sympathize them under this regard. A bunch of kids getting together saving the day and protecting the city from evildoers like some obscenely boring comic book story made for children and man-children alike. This sounds like it was part of a funny ridiculous punchline, but here he was as a part of this dumbass group.  It really made a person question their hold on sanity sometimes.


His nameless blade was in his hand. It was the same style like Shiina's katana, but it had a black blade instead. Joseph hated the damn thing. It looked unnecessarily edgy and try-hard in battle. In hindsight, maybe he really did fit in with this stupid group. Fantastic, this realization truly was. This night just kept getting better and better, didn't it? Joseph failed to mull on it any further. There were enemies up ahead waiting and ready for the picking. Taking. Smashing. Whatever. They were going to hit the floor with their numbers and their prowess. He didn't know how good that rich bitch was with her weird number of Personas and her mongrel, but maybe she'll actually be someone than just all show. Of course, this was the time for Personas to hit the scene, but the new Persona rising from her mind did answer his earlier question about her. Undeterred, his legs launched him into the fray.


He felt his mind sunder. Behind him, his Persona sprout out of his consciousness and it was prepared to enter the battle with its owner. It still felt weird and surreal to have this thing inside of him, but part of the job was to get used to it, right? And besides, Celsus was itching for a good fight and kept pestering about it for way too long. This night was an ideal time for this shit and it's about time they get it over with.
