"Oh damn, a hobocamp!"
Heather entered the room, somewhat thankful for the change of scenery. "...complete with creepy whispering. Heather approached the rocking pile of garbage, and carelessly kicked a box over. "Come out or I'm pulling you out, m'kay?"

Gisèle would lower her sword upon failing to notice any mutants, but she'd keep it ready by her side ready for use, even raising it slightly once the ravings of the madman started to sound out from the corner. She'd sniff the air idly and take a short look at the food all around her, moseying around the camp casually until she reached the source of the noise, her eyes slowly drifting to the figure wrapped in sheets and only finally settling on them when Heather decided to address them.
"..."
First a broken body, now a broken mind. People looked truly pitiful like this, but she didn't let it affect her, remaining completely unperturbed by the figure's repetitive ramblings. Heather didn't seem to particularly mind it either, although she would prove more aggressive in her approach than Gisèle would; after she made her threat the Scourge would follow up with a more "gentle" form of prodding spoken softly and slowly for the vagrant. "Heeey there. This is a really nice set-up you've got here. Sorry to intrude on it, but would you mind chatting with us for a bit? We're in need of some help with a little adventure." Of course, she fully expected the words to fall on deaf ears, but there was no harm in trying to get through to them.
Relevant(?) Strengths/Weaknesses:
—Strength Name: Mind Games —Description: While she's generally far from a subtle person, Junction is a much different environment than the other worlds plagued by the Scourge of Kings, and so Gisèle must take precautions that she never before had to deal with. Luckily for her, there are much more nuanced ways of breaking a person and her innate connection to humanity enables her to see those ways more clearly even if executing them might still pose some challenge. With sufficient information and tact, Gisèle's words can cut deeper than any weapon and she can get inside people's heads with a little more ease than most in order to manipulate or torment her victim as she sees fit. In addition, she can use this talent of hers in the opposite way as well and rely on it to better understand and empathize with the problems her allies are going through, although given her destructive tendencies this is understandably a much rarer application of it.

The man stopped his mumbling when addressed. His rocking slowed until all was still in the hovel. Slowly, what could be assumed was his head under the cloth turned to look at the two women. The man under the cloth sat quietly for a moment before slowly rising to his feet, careful to remain under the sheet, between his hands he held a large round object, completely obscured. Once again the mumbling started... at first far to low and soft to be understood, however as time went on his voice grew louder, and louder...
"-you millions scared and weak, Prepare for some devastation, Some blood soaked hands, Some broken bones, And mass body counts across your nations, Because I am the monster in your head, The beast that hides beneath your bed, The axe wielding man crossing your street, The bloody hands that tear the meat, Try to stop me if you can'
By this point the man was screaming, a thick black stain began to form on the blanket where the man's mouth would had been.
"But you'll break the Habits of man!"

"Ha...yeah, no, fuck THAT shit." Heather knew where this was going. And she wasn't in the mood for letting a monster get the drop on her. Cleopatra was summoned in an instant, and she rose her hand. Light collected within it for a moment, before an arrow shot from her palm towards the sheets.
Kouga | Inflicts a moderate amount of Light damage to one enemy. | 8 SP | Tier 2
Invigorate 1 | Recovers 3 SP on each user turn | Passive | Tier 1
Attacking the thing under the sheet. Gisele is able to interrupt if she wishes.

Yeah, this guy was a real crazy. The craziest thing though was that he thought she cared about such threats. It didn't matter to her whether or not carnage consumed Junction, whether or not millions died... hell, that was her goal in a way, or at least the easiest means of achieving it. But just because she was indifferent toward the proclamations of slaughter didn't mean she was about to fall to her knees and start singing church hymns to appease whatever weird cult this guy was a part of; the moment Heather fired the arrow she was with her. A crooked smile replaced her prior gentle demeanor as the ground around the makeshift priest began to ripple and distort, unaffected for now but readying itself to be shaped by invisible hands, Gisèle halfheartedly flinging Wrath at his right leg in an attempt to impale him. Afterward, she'd promptly snatch a blue capsule out of her pocket and crush it in her palm, an azure aura washing over her as the remaining powder slipped through the slits of her fingers.
It was a shame they wouldn't be able to question him about the Journal, but hey, maybe that object would have some clues -- or maybe...
Soul Skill Name: Spirit of the Earth Persona Name: The Azure Knight Tier: Tier 1 Cost: Passive Type of Damage: N/A Description: It has been said that somewhere in a far off universe, demons who held chaos within their hearts aligned themselves with the mother of all life in a bid against both the armies of God and the twisted humans who had fallen victim to complacency while their planet decayed. While they ultimately failed in their mission to plunge the world into the primordial anarchy of the past, all who are considered the property and servants of the Morningstar still feel a faint connection to the goddess who the forces of hell once rallied behind. Even some demons such as Gisèle who never manifested in that universe and know nothing of it can instinctively call upon the oaths sworn with that deity in order to bend nature to their will during their struggles against authority. As a result, Gisèle does 15% extra damage whenever she uses earth skills against an enemy.
Relevant(?) Strengths/Weaknesses:
—Strength Name: Eat the Rich —Description: When fighting against another character Gisèle will deal 10% more damage to them if they have more VC than her in their inventory.
—Strength Name: Warrior of Chaos —Description: Throughout all her many incarnations across the multiverse the Scourge of Kings has always been a skilled swordswoman. Under the rare circumstance that she wasn't able to rely on her supernatural powers, she could fall back on her prowess with a blade and her natural speed to deal with her opponents. Mechanically this translates to her being able to attack twice in one turn with her soulbound weapon.
—Strength Name: Avatar of Malice —Description: Gisèle's fury is unyielding and on the battlefield she pulsates with inhuman levels of hatred. If she uses her class ability and enters her Corrupted form then once the duration ends she'll be inflicted with the Rage ailment specifically instead of a random one. It should be noted however that if for some reason she decides to enter Corrupted form again afterwards then whatever ailment she gets next will be randomized as it would typically be.
—Strength Name: Claws —Description: If Gisèle enters her Corrupted form then on both of her hands she will gain small claws capable of inflicting real damage on the enemy. These claws aren't anything spectacular; they're the length of average human fingers and will only inflict as much damage as a normal knife would do to the person. When up close and personal though they can be useful and if Gisèle wants to make a person's death look particularly gruesome then she can quite literally tear them to shreds through this.
—Racial Strength Name: I Am Thou, Thou Art I —Description: Gisèle is not a human being, but rather a product of them. While she does have a human form, it exists only as a container for her tale and soul, a hollow vessel that is only maintained by the beliefs and emotions of entities which know "true life." While she is still affected by real damage and can certainly be "killed" by non-supernatural weaponry, this method of destroying her will never be able to put a permanent end to her so long as someone within Junction continues to observe her existence in some form. As a result, Gisèle may reform within the Lower Ward of the city if killed through this method and will simply reappear with a new body with the old one having been destroyed in a burst of ethereal flames at the time of death.
It should be stressed however that this does not make her immortal. This racial strength applies only to death through real damage and cannot shield her against Personas, soulbounds, side-arms, soul skills, etc. If she dies to those then she's dead for good just like anyone else would be. In addition, her old body won't vanish for at least a few minutes and during this time the soul will continue to be housed within it thereby being open to attack. This means that were a person to acquire knowledge of this racial strength then they'd easily be able to counter it through simply wailing on the body through supernatural means until her HP is depleted to zero; the only saving grace to what would otherwise be a fatal flaw of this ability is the simple fact that it's extraordinarily unlikely that they'd arrive at this conclusion without Gisèle herself telling them about it.
If it's not obvious it should also be noted that any items or VC she had on her at the time of death will be lost. They won't even be able to be recovered by her allies or enemies as the flames which engulf her body will destroy all valuables on her person. Even if they take advantage of the short timeframe between her demise and her body's disappearance in order to loot from her discarded husk, the goods they gather from her will dematerialize in an instant as soon as she does.
Last but not least of the stipulations: it takes at least an ingame day for her to revive, so she absolutely cannot reenter the topic she died in or go into any other topics which were happening at the same moment. Even ignoring the day that it takes for her to resurrect, it'd still take some time to get from the Lower Ward to wherever she was last, so she can't just stroll right back in as if nothing happened.
—Weakness Name: Strange Bedfellows —Description: Needless to say by now, Gisèle is not very fond of those at the top of the food chain in society, so working alongside them can prove quite difficult. If the majority of her allies have more VC than her then any healing or buff skills used on her by her party will be 5% less effective. This means that a basic Media would only heal 15% of her HP instead of 20%, an unboosted Tarukaja would only give her a 25% increase in attack power, etc. This effect doesn't apply to passives, however, so skills such as Auto-Mataru would be unaffected by it.
—Weakness Name: Dated Tech —Description: It's not as if Gisèle's myth has never manifested in a world with advanced technology. Poverty exists in any time period after all and any reality where megacorporations exist is sure to attract her wrath like bees to honey. Speaking frankly though, it's far more likely for her to manifest somewhere like medieval Europe than it is for her to appear in Neo Tokyo. Her tale is one rooted in the feudal system of the time and the superstitions of the common people, so it's only natural that she'd take after those times in some way and feel slightly uncomfortable using highly advanced technology when there's a more familiar method available. It's partially because of this that her side-arm is a bow-and-arrow and because she uses this instead of a gun her attacks with Envy only ignore 5% of the enemy's PEnd instead of the usual 10%.
—Weakness Name: Aquaphobia —Description: Every time she stares out into the waters Gisèle is reminded of... unpleasant memories. Around significant amounts of water, she feels incredibly uncomfortable and she'll try her best to avoid it at any cost making swimming or visiting an aquarium out of the question for her. This also has the mechanical effect of increasing her chance of being inflicted with Fear for the next two turns after being struck by an ice or water skill. Ice increases the chance by 5% whereas water increases it by 10%. The extra chances don't stack on top of each other though; for instance, if she was hit by an ice skill and then shortly after hit by a water skill the 10% boost would override the 5%.
—Weakness Name: Monstrous —Description: When Gisèle goes into her Corrupted form she reveals herself as the Sword of Satan and thereby a demonic entity. In this state light skills are 10% more effective against her.
—Racial Weakness Name: Azure Sin —Description: Gisèle's inexorable ties to her myth and her supernatural nature grant her a means of defying death, but they also ensure that she will forever be a slave to the parable from which she sprung. As such, she will never be free of that Azure Sin, the crime that stained her inside and out and stole from her her humanity, that very first murder that her tragedy itself is intrinsically rooted in. It matters not whether the tale is true or false, whether or not someone could convince her that it was just a legend; she is nothing more than an actor on a stage, a pawn of pawns cursed to play the role she was given. And so shall the waters forever reject her, so shall she never know comfort within the waves.
What this means is that if someone were to submerge her body in water after killing her through real damage they'd negate her chance of revival and cause her to experience death as she normally would. However, this also has another and arguably much more potent effect.
Any time a water skill is used on Gisèle it has a chance of instantly killing her as if it were a light or dark skill of an equivalent tier. The way the skills normally function doesn't change meaning that she still receives damage in PvS from being attacked by them, they just have an extra benefit when used against her on top of that. Any relevant boosts to water skills will also increase the chance of the instant kill being a success but just like for light and dark skills it can't exceed the cap that's in place.
The quick reaction of both Seekers seemed to be more than enough to deal with whatever was about to be born from the poor homeless man. Heather’s light pierced through the center mass of the man, blowing a hole clear through his chest and splattering the wall and hovel behind with a mix of viscera and black Ichor.
Gisele’s follow up would be sever the man’s leg from his body before he would be able to react to the fact that a majority of his torso no longer existed. Her blade would embed itself to the hilt in the weak concrete behind the man as his leg fell limp to the side. A torrent of blood and black ichor flowed from his newly acquired stump, creating a puddle that if not dealt with would soon reach and soak the shoes of both Seekers.
The man, however, would stay standing for a moment longer, seemingly trying to draw breath with lungs it no longer had. A low gurgleing escaped from its mouth as it tried to lift the bundle in his hands up and over his head. However the sheer trama of the altercation and the massive loss of both internal and external body parts left him incapable of finishing it’s task.
The man toppled over it’s missing leg and let go of whatever he was holding onto.
The bundle rolled for a few feet before untangling itself from the blanket.

Gisèle watched the man's last moments in utter silence and released a relieved (yet lightly disappointed) sigh when he came crashing to the floor. She'd use the spell she'd been charging to fold the nearby ground into an enclosed cylinder around the black ichor, trapping it within the earth and preventing the liquid from moving any closer towards them as a result, the woman figuring it'd be best to use the ability on something rather than let it fizzle out and go to complete waste. With a snap of her fingers, her sword would disappear and she'd waltz forward casually, walking over the newly formed mound of dirt toward the unfurling object until finally it escaped its bedsheet prison and her eyes fell upon its unobscured form.
"Looks like we found our culprit."
A mildly amused smirk crossed her face. She'd stop in her tracks to make the remark, but not long after she'd continue walking after the mask and after a few more steps would arrive unceremoniously before it. With little fanfare or respect, Gisèle would bend over and with a sharp yank snatch it tightly by its ear, pulling it up into the air with one gloved hand as she straightened her posture, looked it over, and stared into its beady red eyes. There was no doubt about it: either this guy had been the one responsible for hiding the journal or he'd encountered the person who had and taken the rabbit head from him. Her guess was the former, but the finer details didn't matter beyond their role as potential clues, not at the moment anyway.
"Mind giving this place a quick looksie for me Heather? It's gotta be somewhere around here. I'm gonna examine this sad wittle bunny wabbit a bit further."

"Sure thing! Man for all the build-up that guy went down easy." Maybe they'd get some answers from Cinder if she knew they'd managed to kill the guy who put the Journal in there. As it stood, Heather began to tear the room apart, looking for a book by the discription Cinder mentioned. Something still didn't quite feel right, though. Pushing the feeling down, Heather kept looking.
It wouldn't take long for Heather to find the book in question. Hidden under a pile of what looked like empty pizza boxes and a few discarded shopping bags lay a small leather bound notebook, the outside bore no markings however did have a faint residua of tape glue over most of it's surface making it sticky to the touch. That is, if Heather chose to touch it.
Gisele looked at the the mask in her hands, and stood motionless.
Heather smirked, and picked up the journal. "Yessss! I found the thing! Now let's get out of here, and get some lat- Heather turned around, and tilted her head. "Uh...girl? You're looking WAY too closely at that mask. Maybe put it down?" Heather suggested. Of course, it was only for show. This was interesting. If something was up with the mask, knowing beforehand would be useful. She'd feign concern, but ultimately, she didn't care if something happened to Gisele.
Grasping the book, Heather would feel something enter and exit her, as if a hand had reached into her very core, her Ego itself and grasped at it... Yet it's reach was not strong enough, it's hold not solid enough to grasp onto the whole of her being, and let go.
Her companion however...
With one fluid motion, Gisele donned the mask.
--- -- -
HOLY FUCK SHE ACTUALLY DID IT! HAH! I ... I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING I'M GUNNA BE COMPLETELY HONEST HERE.... WOAH. THIS BODY FEELS WEEEEEEEEIRD MAN. CROWDED. I CAN STILL FEEL HER WIGGLING AROUND IN HERE.ICKY...
Gisele, or at least what was Gisele a moment ago turned her head towards Heather and waved gently. She would take one hesitant step forward, nearly toppling over as if her body was new. A thick black substance would seep from under the mask as she tried to maintain balance. Slowly, but surely, she would manage to walk to where Heather stood and kneel down to eye level with the small gatter gal. The mask's beady red eyes staring straight into what was left of Heather's soul.
"Well, THAT'S funny! Kinda glad I'm not the one who checked out the mask, now. Cuz, like, you're either Gisele fucking with me, orrrrr..." Well. She'd keep such things to herself, for now. "It's, like, going fan-fucking-tastic. Found this book, killed a crazy loser...I'm feeling preeeeeetty great R-N."
"The name's Heather, friendo, and you look like a total Peter. So, Cottontail, what do you want?

YOU ARE A DELIGHTFUL LITTLE REPTILE AREN'T YA, THOUGH DON'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK ABOUT YOUR PAL OR WHY SHE'S A MEAT PUPPET RIGHT NOW? STONE... COLD... THOUGH I HAVE TO SAY, NOT COOL. YOU KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES TO MAKE A BODY SUITABLE FOR HABITATION? A LONG FREAKEN TIME.
Gisele? would sign and flop backwards so she was sitting on the ground cross legged, but still holding her gaze on Heather. One of the masks ears drooped slightly as it turned it's attention to the book in Heather's hand.
OH HEY, YOU FOUND IT. IF YOU'RE HERE THEN THAT MEANS ETHER I TOLD YOU TO COME HERE OR THAT LITTLE PIECE OF SHIT CINDER DID. ETHER WAY I'M GLAD I RAN INTO YOU. WHAT I WANT IS TO KNOW WHAT BRINGS YOU AND YOUR WAY TO TRUSTING FRIEND ALL THE WAY BACK HERE. I MEAN... THERE BE MONSTERS HERE MAN... DID YOU SEE THE GUY STUCK TO THE WALLS? FUCKED SHIT MAN.

"Cold? L-O-L, as if! I'm actually being a totally sweet bestie R-N, cuz the only I thing I could do to help her would prolly be to rip that mask off, but like, it seems totes gross? You feel me? Peter, you gotta feel me on this one, if I touch your mask I feel like I might get mange. Lookin' like you just walked out of a costume store ass rabbit lookin' no neck havin' creep!" Heather smirked. Her eyes never left Peter, even as he sat on the floor. "'Sides, she's tough. Whatever lame-o party trick you're pulling isn't gonna work for long. Sorry we iced your friend, though? He was throwing some mad shade about breaking Habits, and I killed him and I was like 'Boom, force of Habit, bitch', and Gisele was like 'WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAA' and then I found the book and we were gonna go for Unicorn Lates before somebody interrupted us. Heather glanced at the book in her hands.
"Oh, why am I here? Well that's easy. There's just one, tiny, liiiiiittle thing I want, and to get it, I had to go through here. See, imagine a universe where everyone is TOOOTALLY free to do whatevs they want, right? No rules, no walls, and nobody getting on you online for using the C-Word! You could wear Socks with sandals, or clashing colors, and you could just, like, go to coffee shops and order off the seasonal menu anytime you wanted, without being told no! It'd be great, huh? But to get that, I'd need to be swole!" Heather flexed. "See I'm gonna be 100 with you, cuz I like the cut of your gib, Peetz.
