Onyx Rhine
Onyx would narrow his odd colored eyes at the enemies. "We should probably be fine now..." As long as nothing wacky happened. For now, he would stay on defensive still, as this weird spell from before seemed to be keeping him grounded. How unfortunate, really. It would appear that their rifle guy friend has caught up to help though, so perhaps he wasn't needed too badly for the moment....
Energy Channel | Boosts buffs by 10% (20%) | Passive | Tier 1
Relevant Strengths/Weaknesses:
—Strength Name: Concentration (+10% to Buffs) —Description: Being as mind oriented as he is, Onyx has mastered the art of focusing himself completely on the action he’s doing and not letting himself get distracted too easily from his task. It allows him to use his awakened powers more effectively.
—Weakness Name: Mind over Matter (-10% damage to any attacks performed) —Description: Due to his immense focus on the mental side of things, Onyx is not so great at performing actions that require a good grasp of the physical environment.
—Racial Strength Name: Empathy —Description: Onyx was born with the ability to sense other people’s emotions, which is a trait appearing in about 1 in 1000 individuals of his race. This means that the man can naturally sense the current emotional states of the person/people that are around him, giving him the ability to understand them on a basic level, and be able to pick his own responses towards them more easily. (In combat, this ability allows Onyx to negotiate with enemies up to 5 levels higher than him, due to being able to be on the same wavelength as them by base)
—Racial Weakness Name: Emotion Overload —Description: All good things can turn bad in excess, and if there are people with extreme emotional states, or too many people with very conflicting ones, it can cause Onyx to become disoriented due to the overload of information his mind would need to process during such situations. (Gives a weakness to ailments in combat)

It was a relief to the small fluff that things seemed to start going back in their favour after the poor start they'd had with this group of monsters. Though he'd begin panting slightly as Denki barraged the enemies with her ice attack, he wasn't really in pain, more so just starting to feel rather exhausted. Which was an issue he'd probably have to deal with much sooner than he'd like to. The creature could tell that Denki felt it too, yet Kuzi was feeling worn out in more ways than one. He was also starting to get really hungry. He hadn't managed to eat anything at all the entire trip down here after all this running about and exercise he was being forced to do. It didn't really matter what, but he had to find some kind of food soon.
Weakness:
—Weakness Name: Hunger Pains —Description: ”I may be small, but I tend to eat quite a lot. I dunno why, I really don’t know where it all goes! But damn do I get pains when I don’t eat for a while, especially when people start talking about food. It just makes me want to eat!”
Regardless, now that the Dreedle's worry over Onyx was no longer his full concern, Kuzi would finally notice the fact one of their other team mates had finally caught up with them. "*Pant*... *Pant*... Eheh... Finally joined the party, ey, Rifle Dood?" Sharing a low energy smile with the guy, Kuzi knew he didn't have much time to waste in talking anymore even if he wanted to. He needed this fight over, and fast! Before those damn hunger cramps kick in. "Let's... *Pant*... S-show them who they tried to mess with Denki!"
"You really do have a big mouth for such a small creature, don't you?"

Things would seem to go up for a moment. They gained one of their members back, one of the enemies fell, and there was no damage to anyone this round as the enemies tried to retaliate. This should be reason to celebrate yes? Well perhaps for some, but not for this demon. He was quite aware that all of this would have a price and that goddess was not one to stay at their side all the time. She could pick and choose who to favor after all and it seemed their time to be favored was up and the price they had to pay? Well it was a mess was it not?
Onyx was bound by some spell from the enemy that seemed to cause him to guard himself versus attack and the little one? Well he looked like he was getting rather tired from all the action. It did indeed look bad and it only got worse as the power the demon had tapped into wore off and bit him with the price it required too.
Back to his usual twisted state, the demon would seem to run even more, the ink unstable as his wings sagged and his grin while still in place more strained than usual. He wasn’t feeling good and had a feeling that continuing to fight would only bring him grief, yet he did not hesitate as he raised a shaky hand and pointed at his target. He let the earth gather once more in the air and then would let that energy filled ball of earth fly in attempt to crush Mr. Tentacle face. As his hand dropped back down to his side, he felt the bite of the sickness within him...and chuckled.
“It...hurts….” he would whisper, his tone amused and clearly disturbed as he kept his eye on the enemies before them.

I smirk as the rest of the team welcome me back. "I've never been one for theatrics but in this case I don't mind!" I declare as I point to the second shadowy figure as another barrage of spikes launch towards it. Although I tried to be as positive as possible we were in a bit of a tight spot. Onyx was on his back foot and the ink creature's steam seemed to have run low after its transformation, looking a bit ill. Even I knew we had to end this fight soon.

The demon would remained with his wings lowered even when the battle had ended. It was true the sickness had left him soon after, but even so it still took his body a few moments to recover from the event. Despite not being at a 100% the demon was grinning nonetheless and even chuckled as a gloved hand went to his lips to try to stifle it as those strange inky orbs observed what had become of the strange creatures and Mr. Tentacle Face.
“Such a pretty color,” the demon would muse tilting his head at the mess left behind with an amused eye; however, HABITS complaining would catch his attention soon enough.
“We understand wanting to do things in a more crushing manner, but heals are good. Heals keep us alive and alive means we can move on in the game. Hehe. Be sad if the pieces broke right out of the gate, dah?” the demon would ask as he gave the guy a fangy grin before looking at the others. “You is good too yes?” he would ask the question in general as in his own way he showed concern for the others....even if he did seem to be quite happy despite the rather dangerous situation. Regardless of what happened from that question, the demon’s eyes would eventually drift back to the mess on the ground and then to what looked like something delightful in the room. Hmmm...he wanted to check out both, but he could only do one thing at a time. Hmm...he supposed he’d go with the delightful thing in the room. Maybe there was a snack there this time.
Shifting from his spot, he would drift towards the treasure as he did he would speak. “Mr. Rhines would you kindly explore the pretty paint for us? Maybe there is something precious or delicious there. Wouldn’t want to miss it.” The demon would continue to move before pausing to look at what he had found.

And, there they went. This particular battle sure took longer than one would expect. He’d have to give It to these enemies for upping their strategies. Well, that and maybe bad luck. It was hard to say what played a bigger part in this momentary struggle they’ve had. Pushing some of his white hair away from his eyes, he would give a side-ways glance towards HABIT and the mini conversation that occurred. “Sometimes the boring makes for the necessary build up towards the more exciting things.” After all, just like Demix had said, if they died right here, they would never get to proceed forward and see what was there. Which would be rather disappointing to be honest. “I think we’re alive.”, he would state evenly at the question Mr. Ink posed after, before turning his attention towards the mess left behind. Hmm…
Soon, he was snapped out of his thinking by the request, at which he would give the other a wave of his hand. “I was thinking of doing that anyhow.” Well, it would be a good thing to have a better idea of what was happening there. Assuming there was anything to find out from the remains, but a try was worth it, yes? Hopefully, he wouldn’t get attacked even by the dead though. That said, he would move over to kneel by the bleeding remains of the battle, trying to see if there was anything interesting to be seen…

Onyx Rhine
Hmm. How strange. Well, this certainly proved that this one wasn't your regular demonic being. Was something roaming the Under that could possess people and make them act like killing machines? And if so, what was the chance it was the being they were currently after? The possibility was somewhat worrying, as it'd be very bad if one of them go caught like this, seeing as they currently had no idea whether there was a cure for it. Killing was perhaps one way, but ending one's life so casually was not the best alternative. Nevertheless, after thoroughly checking out the scene, Onyx would stand back up with the items in hand. Hart Maxwell...hmm. Well, there was no way he would recognize the name, but it did prove this was once a normal citizen of Junction. Could be one of the men that were sent here earlier? Turning towards those of the team that were present at the moment, though speaking loud enough for Demix to hear as well while he was picking up the loots, the pale man would comment on the matter. "It appears that this strange being used to once be a citizen of Junction. He had an ID card on him. Perhaps we should ask boss guy whether he knows who it is once we get back. The fact that something is possessing people and turning them into mindless attackers down here is a bit worrying though." It wasn't normal, was it? For now though, they had to keep moving, so he would eventually walk down through the room they were in right now, stopping briefly at the door to make sure they were all together before they headed out into the halls again.

It was with great pleasure that the demon moved into that pile of scrap his eyes darting here and there at all the things around him. As he was digging through that scrap pile he would pick up a few small pieces that to him look like candy and stashed them away before coming upon something that made him grin even wider if that was possible. Stepping back from the pile with the item in hand, the demon would practically wag his tail as he carefully dusted off the book finding it to be one of those journals again. Oh how lovely! He could add this to his research stash and read with the other one, but for now he would have to put it away.
And away he put it as he stuck the book directly inside of him for now and just like the other stuff somehow stored it inside his body without an issue. After doing this, he would pick up a few more small scraps listening to what Onyx said. To what was heard the demon would consider that as he turned away from the pile and made his way back over to the group as he spoke. "That is a rather bothersome thing. We can certainly ask Mr. Gate about this new issue. We also have some other issues to dig into we would like to discuss with you all when we are in safer quarters, if you don't mind. That aside, what does the ID say Mr. Rhines?" He would listen for a bit before he kneeled down to offer the tiny pieces of metal he had taken from the scrap to Kuzi. "Are you hungry little one? Or just tired? Would you like for us to carry you?" he would ask once more being gentle despite his appearance and unstable behavior. Well whether the other took his offer or not, in time he would get to his feet and follow Onyx to the door and into the hall.

Still panting, Kuzi would flop to the ground once the enemies were defeated. J-jeez he felt so hungry he wouldn't be surprised if the others could hear his stomach growling at him. Though he'd still watch as both Horny and Inky went off to collect some things scattered about the room. "A *pant* ID card, huh? E-eheh. Poor guy, if he really was calling out for help that means that if that does happen to you... You, uh, are still aware of it, which, is, uhm, not really... A, *pant*, very pleasant thought.
The small fluff would close his eyes for a moment, being greeted suddenly by Inky being way closer than he expected when he reopened them making him jump a little. Though, without much hesitation, once he realized what was being offered to him he'd quickly nod his head and chow down on whatever pieces of scrap were given to him. "Thank you~!" He'd call out happily, his usual over energetic happiness taking back over now he had something to munch on. Even if it wasn't quite the tastiest thing in the world, a Dreedles Gut could handle anything! So it was still nice to get something in there to fill it. With a new found grin, the pink fluff would hop his way up Inky's arm and perch himself on their shoulder. If they were offering he would gladly not have to use his paws for a little while. Though with one last act with his paw, he'd throw it out in front of himself and cry out. "Onwards! To adventure!"

I would wipe the sweat from my brow as I take a seat on the ground. Damn that was a close one, if I hadn’t lost my attention and let them dash ahead than we wouldn’t have been here. Better leave the detective work for after we’re done with our mission. The tidbit of information that Onyx gave piqued my attention as I pulled out my notebook and rushed over. “Could I take a look at the ID? Outside of Gate I could ask around Junction to see if anyone knew him.”
It was a tough realization that everyone we fight down here were once people. Although that fact was always present in the back of my mind this was a cruel reminder. However, this was no time to mourn, looking over at the dynamic duo I could see that Kuzi would visibly energize once he was fed some food. “I’m guessing you need a constant source of food for sustenance? Maybe due to your small stature? Or is it a unique function of your biology?” I say, first directed towards him but then just devolving into hypothesizing to no one in particular.
