Meet A Hobo (Ruo/Kogami/Open)

It was clearly a blunder as the smokescreen failed to envelop her. Maybe he was really getting old and being involved with this stuff wasn’t his thing. Despite it, Jin couldn’t help, but be impressed by how fast on her feet she was. Though he knew this fight was going to be difficult and frankly it worried him. Even with Kogami’s help, she was still able to dodge everything they got. His thoughts were already whirling and trying to come up with a plan that could take on something this fast. But, this place here was open and difficult to implement any strategy.

To make matters worse, Kogami was going to be the “Ice Queen’s” victim as he froze and have sunk down into the snow. This was really starting to be bad. Jin couldn’t afford to help him. For someone as fast as the bespectacled swordswoman, it would be suicide to not focus on her. He had to let him go.

Glacier towers erupted soon after Kogami’s capture. Even the walls have closed off any access for his allies to assist him as he finally landed onto the snow. The walls would likely close off any means for them to know what’s going on beyond them.


Oh yes, this was very bad. It was still an open field between the King and her prey, with the latter being all on his own. But he had to keep calm. She was coming closer towards him. And so was he as slowly walked towards her as well and stopped where there was at least five meters distance between them. Clearly, a vulnerable range for even him.


He drew out another cigarette, lit it, and simply left it there between his lips. Hands were set onto his hips in akimbo, relaxed. Jin smiled back at her, returning the gesture.


As he was for the lack of a better word, ‘kowtowing’ to her in a figurative sense.  Hashashin was behind Jin. It also meekly bowed down its neck towards the two as it kneeled down to follow Jin’s apologetic stance. However, it would stay there as its enveloping black cloak completely hid what it was doing.

It had already jabbed a hand into the snow and to the earth. A huge array and network of barbed chains started to quietly appeared underground down to half a meter below where both Jin and the Second King stood with their Personas. They were at the center of the whole network of these metallic links that Hashashin grasped with a gnarled hand hidden completely under its cloak and the underground.


A diameter of 12 meters range would be woven below them. Ready to pop up upon Jin’s/Hashashin’s command. For now, they would be dormant, but ready for anything to go wrong at the first sign.

The first array of barbed chains were set underground around and beneath her in a circle at three meters radii. If she tried running past the invisible boundary or tried an attack that’d go past the boundary, it’d trigger the chains to erupt around her and even cause a burst of snow and dirt to cloud her vision at a range of three meters around her.

It wasn’t like the explosions that the woman was capable of, but it should be enough to cover her vision. Especially if some managed to get onto her glasses (if she had any for that matter). They would try to latch onto her ankles at first and then shoulders before tying around her chest to the upturned frosted ground face down. The same would’ve been done with her Persona.

But Jin wouldn’t expect this to be successful at all given her capabilities. That is why the second array comes in. The rest of these chains already expanded in a twelve meter diameter around both Jin and the King underground. As the first array would cloud her vision and keep her attention onto them, the rest would erupt up from the snow around the periphery of the diameter and close in onto her like a net from above and all sides.

There would be no gaps as the linkage had woven tightly enough to not offer her enough space to escape. Of course, the only gap was the one that Jin stood. But, even then that was closed off as he would jump back to allow the net to close in on the King and past him. That opening would be woven shut as it past Jin before it would allow the Second to get through.

However, that’s only if the Second King would try to attack Jin. And he hoped they didn’t have to do anything tiresome. Seriously, he just got here! Even as he apologized and made more small talk, at least it was better to have something to fall back on if some diplomacy didn’t work.

The woman left, and now Shi was sitting behind a wall, listening to the battle. She was mostly trying to figure out what she could do before the walls came down, something that would at least help everyone here, but what could that be? Snapping her fingers, she would evoke Alice, who smiled brightly and pointed down towards the ground under the woman. A black rune like image appeared, spinning slowly under her as it grew darker by the second. What she was trying to do was charge up this attack, hoping she could be some assistance to the people on the battle field. For now, this rune wouldn't do anything but sit stationary as she tried to think up a plan, though the attack would not be invalid just because it was not being used just yet. Her only goal was to speak with Soki, and seeing as she had no way to jump over that wall, she would have to wait till it came down to be able to make her real escape. For now, assisting the others would be the best option.

It was really starting to get difficult to put up this charade any longer. Jin let a cold sweat slide down his neck as she apparently knew he was up to something. Then again, it was pretty obvious wasn't it? Though how could she hear Hashashin using the chains under all that snow and dirt? That was worrying. His advantage of surprise was nullified.

It looked like he would die here tonight.

Or at least until a certain Yachiru appeared with some purple-scarfed person. This trivial scene would've amused Jin, if only this didn't happen right when there was a Mexican showdown happening just a while ago.

But at least they would leave to look for this "son" of his for Angra Mainyu. Funny. So these people wanted to call upon the "destructive spirit". What a wild night.

He looked back at the wall that Vera had left behind. Pretty big, yes. But, it shouldn't be too much of a problem to scale over.

Hashashin took hold of him by the hip and rushed up the wall in a rush to vault over it before landing before the team that had been separated from him.

"It's over. She left," Jin reported back to them with a wave as Hashashin was dismissed into dissipated scarlet mist, "So what about our purple-haired guest from before? Were you able to stop her from taking Kogami?"

Shi began to move, which would cause the rune to spiral up and attach itself to her feet. Upon walking towards the group, she would cross her arms over her chest. It seemed the threat was already over, which made her feel way better than she could have imagined. And Tomoe seemed to show up, which made her start to think about something she had contemplated, but would never dare tell anyone. The rune around her feet would activate, though it would only create black little butterflies that moved upwards and dissipated into nothing. "I see everyone is alright then. Sorry for running off in the heat of the moment, but I can't really do much in combat situations. I would have been better off going to find someone who has information we need." She blinked, still not showing emotion on her face. "Also Tomoe was it? I would like to ask you to come with me somewhere when these walls come down. I need you to meet someone specific, and then I'm hoping you can do me a favor afterwards." Turning towards the rest of the group, she would continue. "As for the woman, she made off with the shadow. I would have tried to stop her but that's a suicide mission, so I opted to stand out of her way until she left." Might as well tell them the truth.
