Welcome to Persona :: New Arcana! A Persona RPG site!
Welcome to New Arcana!
Welcome, Welcome! You've probably guessed by now, but this is a text-based Persona RPG site for Atlus fans, by Atlus fans. If you're new to Shin Megami Tensei, this place can still be for you, so no need to dash towards the doors! Your first stop should be the introduction board so we can introduce ourselves. Then right after that, feel free to go through our vital information to get a good feel of the site. We hope you enjoy your stay, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to post them here. Ciao!
Shin Megami Tensei and Persona belong to ATLUS. We own nothing, and have simply used their data to create a world of our own. They are the true geniuses behind the scenes.
As predicted the enemy went down in short order and with little difficulty. There was the small mote of concern with the new recruit treating the demons as if it was not mostly concerned with devouring him alive but... it was effective, so she would not comment. Though, as effective as it was it wasn't something to be encouraged. Speaking to the wrong demon could end in catastrophe. She wouldn't admonish him either. And to her pleasant surprise they were quick enough to not be ambushed from the rear. "The threat has been dealt with, let's continue moving before the enemy can converge on us. There are more enemies ahead, let's continue this pace." Susan stepped off in a slow jog, Seshat appearing along with her to bathe the alleyways with a soft glow granting assured understanding to ignore any injuries and restore the mind.
Sukunda | Lowers one enemy's Agility by 30% for 3 turns. | Tier 2 -- 25%
Psalm 51:10 | Removes all debuffs from allies and heals 30% HP. | Tier 3 -- 50%
Pin | Inflicts a moderate amount of Pierce damage to one enemy. Next attack by an ally will hit its target without missing. |Tier 3 -- 50%
Black Keys | Inflicts a heavy amount of Slash damage to one enemy. Boosts the next physical attack by 40%, 60% instead when targeting demons. The boosts have a two turn cool-down when used. | Tier 3 -- 50%
Pierce Dexterity -- 0%
Machine-Gun Dexterity -- 0%
Modifiers:
Priestess Arcana: +5% to Tactical Support skills.
Strength: Professional Courtesy - Charm and Rage have their success rates lowered by 15% against Susan. Strength: I'm the One in Control! - Once per withdrawal from Persona Overdose Susan can choose the target of a skill she uses instead of rolling randomly. She makes this choice after rolling for her target. The skill is still rolled randomly like normal.
Weakness: Not According to Plan - Panic and Fear have an extra 15% chance to succeed against Susan. Weakness: Rip Off the Bandage - When Susan is suffering the negative effects after Persona Overdose she loses 10% of her total HP every turn. This damage can and will knock her unconscious if she isn't careful but it can't result in her death since her Persona won't willingly kill its host.
Action:
Moving to the position labelled on the map.
The team restores 40% of their HP from Healing Wave. 20% from it going off, 20% from the end of the fight.
The team restores 15% SP from Pathway of Light. Pathway of Light | Every travel turn taken within a dungeon will recover 10% of SP for each party member being supported. | Passive | Tier 3

That was...surprisingly successful. It seemed to Rui that vore-related flirtation actually worked against demons. Who knew. He expected a look of utter disgust from his captain, but she oddly didn't give him one. Surprising. He continued to follow her.
Empress Arcana: +15% to healing skills. Rearguard: The team at the backlines. In this formation, you'd usually want to put your support oriented members. Support skills (tactical skills, healing, buffs and debuffs) receive a 5% boost in terms of potency (if they refer to percents in how they work.) and your SP and Luck will be raised by 40%. However, in the Rearguard your attack stats will be lowered by 50%.
Strength: Parental Instinct - +15% bonus to Healing. Strength: Evacuation Orgia (Inhuman) - During Orgia Mode, if not attacking, Rui can move extremely quickly while carrying a very heavy weight, even briefly flying.
Weakness: LEED Certified Batteries - +15% to all electric damage taken. Weakness: Glitchy Recovery (Inhuman) - During the three turns after recovering from Orgia mode, suffer a 15% penalty to dexterity.
Head:Mark of Chaos Shades of Ordog Body: Tsurinai's Trophy
Role:
Vanguard: The foremost cadets. Those who specialize in being at the front of the battle would want to take this role in combat. Cadets who take this role have a latent boost to defense stats by 25% and their attacking stats are raised by 10%. However, their SP and luck stat are lowered by 30%.
Regenerate 1 | Recovers 2% 7% of max HP on each user turn | Passive | Tier 1

Soul Skill Name: Nihil Blade Persona Name: Fisher King Tier: Tier 2 Cost: Passive Type of Damage: N/A Description: The strength and damage of all Slash skills are boosted by 20% 30%. In addition, they have a 5% 20% chance to inflict the ailment Fear upon successfully struck targets, although it'll only last for one turn instead of the usual three.
Relevant(?) Strengths/Weaknesses:
—Strength Name: Healthy —Description: Azami is not immortal by any means, but she's at peak healthiness for a member of her species. She's full of energy and in prime shape for dealing with the sort of combat situations her job's built around tackling. Due to her superb health, it's also likely she'll live longer than the average Shiba, although this isn't taking into account the risks involved with engaging demons in combat of course. Mechanically speaking, all this translates to moving at double speed in dungeons.
Picking up speed Susan would enter the clearing to find a single demon. Normally this was a signifier. Lone demons were normally stronger in her experience since most traveled in packs, one could only guess that their strength led them to kill or devour any compatriots. Or perhaps that was the source of such power, to absorb that of the weaker ones. But it did not matter, they had faced more threatening foes in the past and this would be no different. "This one's stronger, watch yourselves! Standard combat protocol applies, I will update you as the situation changes! Engage at will, Seshat...!" Taking a middling battle stance Susan's Persona would once more come forth to swing rays of burning light toward the demon of unknown strength.

Cold fingers grasped at the short woman as she felt a chill run up her spine, trying to drag her to the depths below. But she wouldn't fall to the darkness just yet. The tremoring fear gave way to numbness as Susan's eyes blanked over and Seshat's bandages slowly wound around her limbs. She blocked out all emotion. Emotion had no place on the battlefield, it was a useless, exploitable position. "The enemy is using techniques that can instantly eradicate us." she informed in an eerie, blank tone. Susan and her Persona both crossed their heart in unison as a shining beacon in the shape of the Amenta appeared on the hearts of everyone in combat. The Mark of the Dead. A mark that weakened the soul.
"We shall show it ours. Engage in coordinated assault."

Rui snapped his head in the direction at Susan's order. Admittedly, this might be slightly unnerving because he was facing in a direction that was at least slightly more than perpendicular to her. If he had been facing away, it would have likely been far creepier. Also impossible, because Rui's neck didn't bend that far. But perpendicular? He could do that. His voice was somewhat more serious sounding, more of a calm statement than an exclamation.
"Completely understood, Captain Groves..."
Rui did the rather strange pose as he entered Orgia mode, his eye turning a very bright yellow as he did so. He gave a quick smirk to his fellow cadets, "Well, I've never done this before, so wish me luck." He blew a kiss at his fellow cadets before he then jumped and flew straight into the air, high-heels and all. He fluttered through the air upside down, his dress somehow not actually falling over to the relief of presumably many Cadets, before his bayonet and whole body came down on the demon. He wasn't quite sure if it dealt any damage, so he somersaulted onto the ground, then jumped off the ground again in the same somersault movement, changed directions in mid-air using his flight ability, and then came right down on its head again. And again. As many times as it was necessary.
