As soon as the bandages unwound themselves from her neck and wrists Susan fell to her knees clutching her throat and coughing and inhaling sharply, catching up on all the air she had missed from before. Seshat wore a superior smile as her skin crackled and peeled away to form the bandages her standard form was comprised of and she faded away behind the woman into dancing ink. Her hacks would come to slow and even out as she stood back up on weary legs, sniffling and wiping her nose. There was a momentary fatigue that she felt wouldn't last but as she brought her hand away Susan would notice blood on her shooting gloves. Her wrists and neck were bleeding lightly where Seshat cut her to siphon the poison and sickness out of her system. Vicious paper cuts but they only stung, she was not even moderately injured. There would be not time for weakness however, nor time for rest. She couldn't appear inadequate in front of the team. Her Persona was expertly managed as long as everyone else believed it was.
The small woman stood shakily, hesitant to bring Seshat forth again but she was not feeling her best and some of her team members needed the assistance. "S-Seshat..." she stuttered. Her mummified Persona came into being with a sharp inhale from the woman and set to work dragging its gnarled finger across the forms of herself and Jackie as she made an extended mental command to assist them. The healing light would give the two of them comfort and sound assurance. She breathed a hissing whistling breath as she planned her next move. "Phewwwww... Three steps from annihilation. That's all we are..." she echoed. No one but her had seen how close they were to disaster, if Terui had not scored a glancing lucky hit the tables would have violently turned. Susan began to walk where she could see glinting along the ground, no doubt more signs of demonic essence. "Th-the enemies are growing stronger as the night drags on," she warned, "I will need to research this reason later, for the moment I will deign to wrap up our patrol and make a roundabout toward a safe area I posit is outside of demonic influence. Everyone is doing incredibly well but the fights will become more dangerous as time moves forward. We're trimming weeds, not salting the earth, and I believe we have made a dent in their numbers tonight and that is something to feel accomplished about. I hope to have a positive report after we have secured an exit route." It may not have sounded confidence inspiring but Susan meant it to be. Positive reinforcement and glowing reviews were what Cadets wanted, yes? It's personally what she would have wanted, she would decide that this would be workable.
As Susan rounded the corner and stooped down to pick up more discarded gems a flash of movement would catch her eye and she quickly jerked to action and began to move. Demons. More of them. "E-enemy contacts at 2 o'clock, move to engage...!" she gasped with her submachinegun pointed forward, charging to secure a position the enemy would find it hard to move past.

Well, damn. He felt stronger after that last fight for sure, but apparently he could now rain down molten hot death upon Demons. That was a nice boost. Now he just had to be extra sure there were no civilians who were around to get caught in the cross fire. Unlike certain...other...people, he wasn't going to execute Citizens left and right. Just because he was made of metal didn't mean he was going to throw his weight around. Sure, the Terrorists had gotten their message out, but surely Execution wasn't the ONLY punishment available. He'd heard Life in Prison was just as effective. If anything, it'd be a more effective punishment. He could speak for it's quality, after all, idling in a glorified closet for five years.
Bitterness.EXE check complete. No anomalies detected.
Oh, good. That was still working. Of course, it meant whatever was corrupted was still hiding somewhere in the code, but he'd find it eventually. Maybe. If he remembered. He had other things to think about. Like how well things were going tonight, for one. He'd been on patrol most nights since his reactivation, but usually they left well before this. He supposed it was natural, though. They had Officer Azami's Primal Rage, and Officer Grove's direction to guide them through battles, and Rui...well, they had Rui. Rui was very much there, of course. Jackie couldn't put an exact value on Rui's assistance, but at least he(?) was there. Call it moral support, or something like that, he supposed. He didn't really care what it was called, so long as Rui didn't get in the way. Between his(?) outfit, the offhanded comment about...ugh. Vore. And the dog mask Jackie heavily suspected was still on his person, Jackie suspected if he(?) tried hard enough he(?) could perform a X3 Offense Combo. There was something else, though. Something that made him interested in Rui, on some level.
He(?) seemed to be able to do something similar to Jackie's Overclocking. Now, normally Jackie wouldn't particularly care about another robot-he was aware of at least three others, after all, all of them more dickish than Rui-but this one...he had to wonder who invented Rui. What sort of glitches had to be going on deep in his code to make him act out like this, and essentially beg to be mauled by the rest of the patrol group. A question best saved for another night, though. They were still on the clock, so to speak. Speaking of being on the clock, it was time to get to work.

Rui twirled his stabby-stick. Threw it up in the air, twirling, and catching it as it fell down. The entire situation reminded him of a drum major in a marching band corps. It was a damn nice stabby stick. The snake demon that had tried to eat all of the cadets had learned much to its own unfortunate end. Rui in many ways had expected that fight to go much much worse than it actually did. The demon clearly hit hard and could take hard hits. But putting it off balance allowed everyone else in the squad to swarm the demon. It was actually kind of cute in a weird way. Kind of reminded Rui of tossing bread crumbs into a pond and watching all the ducks swarm on it. Similarly, nothing seems to attract punchy cadets like an off-balance demon.
Rui caught his knife again, this time with his mouth biting onto the hilt, before finally putting it away back on top of his rifle, cradling it almost like a dancing pole. "Oh yeah, whoops, gotta go fast now, right?" Rui gave a rather peculiar facial expression to his squad leader as she seemed to...praise the group? That was simply not at all what he had expected. If anything, any positive reinforcement seemed so foreign to Rui, he wasn't sure how to take it. His remarkably boggled mind just went around in circles, almost short-circuiting at the most surprising thing he had seen all day. Perhaps if he thought about it a little longer, he would have realized that to others, he might be the most surprising thing seen all day. But as everyone was in a hurry, that thought had no opportunity to rise to the top of his head.
He did wonder if he was dealing with a normal squad of cadets. Were all cadets...so intimidating? Obviously Cadet Groves was the very avatar of terror and he suspected her of being part-demon. But Jackie, the first cadet who Rui had the opportunity to meet, immediately revealed himself as a grim operator. And Azami...the dog...while although remarkably cute, seemed to become more worryingly ferocious as the day went on. He had perhaps judged the dog as prickly and excited like some dogs are, but maybe Rui was starting to get the feeling that Azami was more the type to rip out the throats of another job. He certainly did a good enough job with regards to the demons. Especially the ones Rui knocked off-balance.
Shunting those thoughts aside, Rui clapped his hands and decided to follow Susan again.

The businesswoman shuffled to a halt with her weapon trained on the enemy. Though they had seen one before they had no idea what they were capable of. Stratagems flicked through her mind until her thoughts settled on a trend they had undergone: they could overpower the enemy. They had the numbers and the ability. They did not need to be tactically advanced when they held pure and raw strength. It was using their resources. That would be their advantage here. The bandages wrapped around Susan as her team met up to join the battle and she immediately granted them visions of all possible outcomes of the next few seconds. It would be a rapid assault.
"Engage swiftly and ferociously, we know not what the enemy does. Overpower them."

The fleeting wave of ambrosia drifted gently over Susan. Ineffectual, given her emotionless state of mind. But they were not doing as well as she had hoped and a grievous error on her part made the difference. She had once more been vague and it put them in danger.
You are showing yourself to fail again, thrall. Your time is running short.
The warning stood and with great importance. They would need to wrap this up quickly or be placed in a precarious situation indeed. It was time to be clear and concise in intention. "Azami, continue as you are. Officer Jackie, if I lose control of Seshat you are to disable your limiters but not before. Terui, take care of your injuries and continue the assault. Everyone focus fire on the small one."
With exact instructions given Seshat waved her hand once more to grant the team visions of all possibilities, ensuring their strikes would connect.
