Welcome to Persona :: New Arcana! A Persona RPG site!
Welcome to New Arcana!
Welcome, Welcome! You've probably guessed by now, but this is a text-based Persona RPG site for Atlus fans, by Atlus fans. If you're new to Shin Megami Tensei, this place can still be for you, so no need to dash towards the doors! Your first stop should be the introduction board so we can introduce ourselves. Then right after that, feel free to go through our vital information to get a good feel of the site. We hope you enjoy your stay, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to post them here. Ciao!
Shin Megami Tensei and Persona belong to ATLUS. We own nothing, and have simply used their data to create a world of our own. They are the true geniuses behind the scenes.
As the Poltergeist whined like a little punk-ass bitch pussy, Azami would quietly summon Fisher King, the Persona appearing behind the small ghost without word or warning. While the creature continued its incessant shrieking and lost sight of the true danger of its adversary, the dog would seize control of the moment, mouth twisting into a wry smirk as Fisher King suddenly grabbed it by the neck and dangled his fishing hook in front of its eye. Death was on its doorstep.
"Sleep. And with your current weakness, with your current ignorance, that's all you get: eternal slumber. I could end you so easily Demon and it's all because you refused to learn from those who knew what they were talking about. So what's it gonna be brat? Do you wanna learn the secrets to power or should I crush you into dust and ensure you never get playtime ever again?"
As the bandages tightened around her neck, threatening to overtake her and allow Seshat to reign free in her twisted procedures of efficiency Azami would intimidate the ghost and leave no one. They slackened around her limbs and Susan rubbed her wrists reflexively. Not this time. Nothing could go wrong tonight. She could not afford it. But her spirit left with a warning.
You are merely renting your time. You belong to me, body, mind... and soul. You are only in control as long as I grant it and eventually? You will relinquish that control. Continue to perform to standards in strategic acumen and you will be allowed to borrow my abilities but when you fail and beg for more than you can bargain I will step in.
And you will perform perfectly.
Susan shivered at her Persona's words. It halted her for a mere moment as she breathed heavily. This fight was more taxing than the last. But the night was far from over. "Phewwww... thank you..." she sighed, wiping her brow. "I-I could use a small break, let's... let's slow down the pace a bit. There is more essence over this way and a powerful enemy to our flank, but I don't believe we've been spotted yet. Let us take this opportunity to... to walk for a while." Susan slung her submachine gun over her shoulder so she could have her hands free to take off her cap and run a hand through her sweaty hair as she ambled slowly toward the demon shards. As well as the evening had been going she still loathed physical activity, a hot shower would be a Godsend at the end of the patrol.

Priestess Arcana: +5% to Tactical Support skills. Rearguard: Support skills (tactical skills, healing, buffs and debuffs) receive a 5% boost in terms of potency (if they refer to percents in how they work.) and your SP and Luck will be raised by 40%. However, in the Rearguard your attack stats will be lowered by 50%.
Strength: Professional Courtesy - Charm and Rage have their success rates lowered by 15% against Susan. Strength: I'm the One in Control! - Once per withdrawal from Persona Overdose Susan can choose the target of a skill she uses instead of rolling randomly. She makes this choice after rolling for her target. The skill is still rolled randomly like normal.
Weakness: Not According to Plan - Panic and Fear have an extra 15% chance to succeed against Susan. Weakness: Rip Off the Bandage - When Susan is suffering the negative effects after Persona Overdose she loses 10% of her total HP every turn. This damage can and will knock her unconscious if she isn't careful but it can't result in her death since her Persona won't willingly kill its host.
Susan walked to get the demon essence alone. Which suited her just fine, it meant she could go at her own pace and, guiltily, she strolled a little and lengthened her break by perhaps another quarter of a minute. She didn't show it outright (at least she hoped not) but the businesswoman was much more fatigued than she let on. The sweat and physical strain was one thing but the lack of sleep and mental stress was another altogether, not to mention the emotional drain. It was exhausting to be "on" for this long, to call out strategies and take charge as she was doing. Susan would much prefer to remain completely silent and alone with her own thoughts throughout this process but that was not conducive to success or even survival at this point. Yet even though she was nervous to be away from the group the brief respite was much appreciated. The odds of her getting ambushed with her teammates standing at the junction was minimal anyway, even if it wasn't she could see it coming and be prepared. The short woman knelt to pick up the discarded gems of power, feeling a strong sense of duty and faint lingering of courage from them before placing them in one of her magazine pouches and hefting to her feet with a look of death on her face. She would give anything to simply go home, draw a hot bath and soak her weary muscles but she would have no choice in the matter. This patrol had to go perfectly and she had to lead it flawlessly. Her reputation was at stake.
The mousy woman returned to the group a little more composed and looked over the group with a blank expression and closed mouth. Her eyes fixated on Officer Jackie for a moment, taking time to break outside of her comfortable silence and analysis to see to the waning spirit he carried. "....Persona." With a wave of her hand Seshat would manifest and float to the robot, twitching its jaw and drawing a reed before him as he felt his weariness lift just a tad. Susan sighed silently. She'd gotten used to the alone time and was hesitant to break it and begin performing as the team leader again. It was tiring. "....I have found more demonic essence, the same resin that we have been finding all over. Nothing eventful." she shook her head slightly, beginning to walk toward the area with the next major enemy within sight. "Ahead we have another powerful demon to face, I can tell by the signs. For those who are unaware many of these more powerful demons tend to take up a sense of space. They have territory and they do not leave it. Why is unknown and not relevant at the moment, but it is best to be on guard in large clearings for multiple reasons: demonic territory and the absence of cover to take advantage of. U-unless you are a melee combatant, then I suppose you would want more space to maneuver..." Susan shook her head harder as if to shake out her exhaustion, she was less informing and now more thinking aloud. All this running around made it harder for her to focus on anything more than how much her lungs burned. "N-nevermind, I believe I had a point to make but I lost it. Anyway, to arms. Prepare for combat. We're doing well tonight, let's continue this streak." Susan motioned with one arm and flicked the safety off her weapon as she broke into a jog and then a run toward the next enemy.

Unlike the others, this demon looked noticeably stronger than the rest, even with some of the observations she had made. Of course, it should be treated as a threat like anything else but this one actually may BE threatening. Also it was a snake. Snakes could be scary. "Engage at will. I have a feeling this one could be tricky, so let's approach this cautiously at first." Susan motioned with her arm to bring Seshat forth and rail the demon with beams of harsh light. Not that she was looking to deal any amount of significant damage this way, she was more interested in seeing what it could do.
