Welcome to Persona :: New Arcana! A Persona RPG site!
Welcome to New Arcana!
Welcome, Welcome! You've probably guessed by now, but this is a text-based Persona RPG site for Atlus fans, by Atlus fans. If you're new to Shin Megami Tensei, this place can still be for you, so no need to dash towards the doors! Your first stop should be the introduction board so we can introduce ourselves. Then right after that, feel free to go through our vital information to get a good feel of the site. We hope you enjoy your stay, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to post them here. Ciao!
Shin Megami Tensei and Persona belong to ATLUS. We own nothing, and have simply used their data to create a world of our own. They are the true geniuses behind the scenes.
—Strength Name: Glorious Melee Combat —Description: There's nothing more manly than two warriors shanking each other with a piece of metal, at least that's what Albrecht thinks. This love for melee combat makes the Forgotten even more effective at it granting a 10% Dex damage with melee soulbounds.
—Strength Name: Langschwert —Description: As one of the Black Lions, Albrecht received intense military training and his weapon of choice was the long sword. He know effectively how to use one and various techniques, such as half-swording and sundering. This strength allows Albrecht to perform two dexterity attacks in combat.
—Weakness Name:Melee Fighter —Description: Despite having accesses to ranged weapons, it is far from being his field of expertise, his focus on melee combat required that he sacrificed some ranged combat training. Gun attacks deal 10% more damage.
—Weakness Name: Not GLORIOUS MELEE COMBAT —Description: Gun fights are alright, if you are into that sort of thing. Certainly not nearly as good as GLORIOUS MELEE COMBAT. Albrecht deals 10% less damage with Gun.
PvS Double Battle Initiated:Press 'F' To Pay Respects! "...Simply marvelous. We're reaching the climax sooner than I believed. He he he..."
Infinite Jest T, Level 15:
>Boss Phase Defaulted!
Evil Smile | 25% chance of inflicting the Fear ailment to all enemies. 50% chance fear may stop their next attack. If immobilized, will have a 10% chance to flee battle. Wears off after 3 turns. | 10 SP | Tier 2 Hit if 1 to 45 for all. Up to 60 for Susan.
Cecilia was tempted to snap back at Susan's scolding with a complaint about how she wasn't a kid or some remark about how Alex swore all the time (despite being younger than her), but she kept silent in spite of her more "civilian" instincts and impulses. It was refreshing to know that they were still there, that she and Susan and the others could still have this sort of banter even in the face of such danger, but... She couldn't falter. Unlike the other terrorists who she mocked with her casual demeanor, T shot back in a way that infuriated her beyond belief. The very idea of showing any pleasantry in his presence made her feel sick and weak as though she shouldn't even think to smile while he did. So instead she continued her duties with a determined yet disgusted scowl, fighting on in the hope that this night would soon end.
The shield would serve stoically. The shield would not yield.
Rearguard: The team at the backlines. In this formation, you'd usually want to put your support oriented members. Support skills (tactical skills, healing, buffs and debuffs) receive a 5% boost in terms of potency (if they refer to percents in how they work.) and your SP and Luck will be raised by 40%. However, in the Rearguard your attack stats will be lowered by 50%.

Invigorate 1 | Recovers 3 SP on each user turn | Passive | Tier 1
Soul Skill Name: Dispatched in Mankind's Darkest Hour Persona Name: Svalinn Tier: Tier 1 Cost: Passive Type of Damage: N/A Description: If an ally's health drops below 25%, the effectiveness of Cecilia's healing and buff skills will increase by 10%. This boost will last for the next four turns and will be taken into account when she heals/buffs any member of the party (including herself). It does not stack on top of itself and can only be acquired once per battle.
Queen's Example | Becomes immune to all mental ailments. | Tier 4
Relevant(?) Strengths/Weaknesses:
—Strength Name: To Protect and Serve —Description: Though Cecilia may not be able to harm and damage her enemies, she can utilize her soulbound in other ways. If she guards her soulbound shield will increase her PEnd and MEnd by 20% for the turn.
—Weakness Name: Pacifistic —Description: Cecilia cannot and will not bring herself to harm a living being. The violence she witnessed during the Eternal Divide fucked with her developing mind to the point where the mere thought of hurting a living entity on any level or scale sickens her. As a result, she can never attack someone directly regardless of the circumstances. Her soulbound cannot be used to inflict damage, she doesn't get to carry a side-arm with her, her Persona can't use attack skills, she can't slap/punch/stab someone, etc. It doesn't matter if she's about to die or even if it means the downfall of the government -- she simply cannot bring herself to stain her hands with the blood of another. And while she does accept it as a necessary evil and will allow the rest of her party to kill, she will always advocate for a more peaceful route if her opinion is asked for -- especially when it's humans she's dealing with.
—Weakness Name: Prejudiced —Description: Cecilia will refuse to negotiate with Demons unless no one else in her party is willing and/or able to.
—Weakness Name: Sweet Tooth —Description: Cecilia has a love of sweets and will take her sweet time (no pun intended) enjoying the flavor. HP recovering items restore 5% less HP than they usually would.

With her Eye of Horus Soul Skill Susan can provide remote support from an individual marked with it. She has placed an Eye of Horus on Jackie, Cecilia, and Albrecht this topic. As long as those players are active in battle and not KO'd Susan can provide remote support and monitoring, if they are switched out or become KO'd she can no longer do so.
Healing Wave acts on the team regardless of who's in the active party.
Eye of Horus:
Soul Skill Name: Eye of Horus Persona Name: Seshat Tier: Tier 2 Cost: 15 SP Type of Damage: Support Description: Susan can enscribe an Eye of Horus onto a person or surface, allowing her supernatural senses where she places it.
When placed on a person the Eye of Horus allows Susan to experience things that person sees or hears and can scan enemies just like Remote View. The key difference is that unlike Remote View which establishes a remote call between the team Susan can only communicate back and forth between whoever is marked. They also need to communicate to other teammates through Susan, as in they need to tell Susan to talk to other people, they cannot directly communicate with each other. When this skill is used in this way Susan communicates to others via sending words and information into their field of vision like a Heads Up Display, the other player must speak aloud to communicate back with Susan.
When used in a dungeon the Eye of Horus senses everything within line of sight in 6 spaces through sight and hearing.
When used in PvP she senses everything within line of sight and hearing of an Eye of Horuse when not placed on a person to a range of 3 meters for every 20 points in PMstr.
Susan can place one Eye of Horus for every 20 points she has in PMstr. If she places more she must choose which one is erased to support the new mark. An Eye of Horus lasts until the end of a topic. Susan can combine this skill with her Rewrite skill by adding its SP cost to place the hieroglyph at a touch and dictate how it appears.
This time savage assault could not continue, their advantage state had been lost. It was now back on the defensive as "T" repeated his strategy of attempting to make everyone freeze in fear before he sunk the knife in. She recognized that cackle. And his strategy. Susan would summon Seshat to start delivering more bolts of light, but would issue a mental warning. Audible warnings could be observed. She learned quickly to stay silent when it came to terms of sensitive strategy.

.........gone. .....everyone was gone.... everyone except her.....
The majority of the team had been eliminated in one single, savage attack. "T" had been toying with them. He had always been toying with them, from the very start. All of this had been planned far in advance. She couldn't keep up quick enough to counteract him. He was heavily injured but had been backed into a corner, the most dangerous position to fight someone in. Through all that fervor there had been a few slip-ups, they took missteps that could not have been foreseen. And n-now...
Susan paled as she took a hesitant step backward. This meant something different to her compared to the rest. No one else could see the numbers. Seshat had granted her foresight and a way to calculate these odds, she could see the raw data of his strength and that of her own. Susan could see this situation objectively. It was statistically impossible for her to win by herself, and with Maria and Lisa. Susan would shoot him, he would survive and he would wipe her out. Seshat would cast her beams of light, he would survive and he would wipe her out. His denial skill would likely trigger, further injuring her before he would be able to counterattack. She could not win. It wasn't a matter of fighting spirit or calling upon a greater strength to win the day. This was reality, where people died for no reason at all except that it was the rational outcome of events. She couldn't win. Not by herself.
"I-I-I.....!" Susan took one more step backward as Seshat appeared behind her to deliver a glow of prescience. She was terror-stricken on what would happen and her mind desperately searched for an answer, the most rational outcome, anything she could do to win... or at least survive. The timid woman did not come this far to fail, but... she was not prepared to die. History began to repeat itself. Just like in the training simulation... and during the Divide... at least the memories she'd had before... Susan began to shake as she began to cry. This was something that she could not do by herself, someone needed to step in to take care of what she could not.
She would have to leave them again. She would have to leave them to die... if that was what happened... Susan could only ensure one person's safety. Her own.
"....I-I-I'm sorry! Someone! Switch...!" she cried out in a choking sob, leaving behind Maria, Lisa, and her fallen comrades as she sprinted to the back line with remarkable speed. At the minimum she could ensure that at least one of them survived... being herself... but if possible sh-she would try to save anyone she could in mob as well. There was nothing else she could do.
Switching out for Dogzami. Because of her Rabbit Trainers Susan can't be targeted when switching out. Rabbit Trainers / Feet Slot Item - Grants the wearer a 20% increased chance to succeed in running away from battle and the wearer cannot be attacked while switching out of combat. The beast's landing shook the surrounding area as it scanned the environment for a brief second, panting heavily as tendrils began to slide out from its throat, mouth-tentacles falling to the floor below and coating it with saliva. Two humans and a machine laid unconscious across the battlefield, scattered throughout the ballroom unable to move (let alone fight), a fact which prompted a haughty chortle from the demonic creature. It really was the perfect chance... For them to have fallen showed how she, a "little dog", was so much more superior.
