“.....” This train. Just how long was it? Haru had to wonder as he shifted in his spot a bit, feeling highly uneasy the longer they couldn’t see what was going on. Still, he couldn’t break here. With his usual calm expression, he’d raise an eyebrow at Joseph’s comment about an item he used tasting like chicken. Was that just a general saying or what? He would ponder that for a before feeling the healing spell and glancing over at Jackie. “Thanks.” Was all he would say as he shifted his weapon to place it into a guard position. As he did his persona would do the same as they waited for the train to go by to reveal whatever had happened over there.

Stumbling backward and keeping her shield raised, Cecilia grunted as the demon's onslaught continued. Was this piece of shit trying to eat her?! There was no way in hell she was gonna let that happen! Her rapidly yellowing eyes shot to her side, but the train was still zooming by with no chance of escape, causing her to grunt and slowly retreat backward in an attempt to draw some distance between her and the abomination. While her determination and the deafening screech of the vehicle prevented her from calling out for help, she still couldn't help but wish that...
"YO WAT"
Staring up at the sky in a state of all-consuming awe, Cecilia's shouting would pierce the barrier of sound blocking her off from the others as she watched in amazement as Maria soared through the sky. On the other side of the tracks, her comrades would be witness to the same ridiculously insane sight; Maria, seemingly unfazed as usual, would stoically charge forward and spring up into the air with perfect and unparalleled grace and glide over the train, Andraste in hand, without breaking so much as a sweat. Still completely silent she landed in position perfectly in front of the pink-haired Cadet and fired a cursory glance behind her that nearly turned Cecilia into a pile of mush. In spite of the thoughts darting through her mind and the suffocating heat emanating from her now beat red face, the girl would do her best to keep her focus on the much less interesting and nowhere near as badass Serah instead of the infinitely more attention-grabbing Chadria.
Railroad Track: 4 Strengths: Fire Weaknesses: Wind
Feet: Tearless Loafers
Light of Latmus (35%) (2/3) Stagnant Air (1/3)
Role:
Rearguard: The team at the backlines. In this formation, you'd usually want to put your support oriented members. Support skills (tactical skills, healing, buffs and debuffs) receive a 5% boost in terms of potency (if they refer to percents in how they work.) and your SP and Luck will be raised by 40%. However, in the Rearguard your attack stats will be lowered by 50%.
Invigorate 1 | Recovers 3 SP on each user turn | Passive | Tier 1
Soul Skill Name: Dispatched in Mankind's Darkest Hour Persona Name: Svalinn Tier: Tier 1 Cost: Passive Type of Damage: N/A Description: If an ally's health drops below 25%, the effectiveness of Cecilia's healing and buff skills will increase by 10%. This boost will last for the next four turns and will be taken into account when she heals/buffs any member of the party (including herself). It does not stack on top of itself and can only be acquired once per battle.
Relevant(?) Strengths/Weaknesses:
—Strength Name: To Protect and Serve —Description: Though Cecilia may not be able to harm and damage her enemies, she can utilize her soulbound in other ways. If she guards her soulbound shield will increase her PEnd and MEnd by 20% for the turn.
—Weakness Name: Pacifistic —Description: Cecilia cannot and will not bring herself to harm a living being. The violence she witnessed during the Eternal Divide fucked with her developing mind to the point where the mere thought of hurting a living entity on any level or scale sickens her. As a result, she can never attack someone directly regardless of the circumstances. Her soulbound cannot be used to inflict damage, she doesn't get to carry a side-arm with her, her Persona can't use attack skills, she can't slap/punch/stab someone, etc. It doesn't matter if she's about to die or even if it means the downfall of the government -- she simply cannot bring herself to stain her hands with the blood of another. And while she does accept it as a necessary evil and will allow the rest of her party to kill, she will always advocate for a more peaceful route if her opinion is asked for -- especially when it's humans she's dealing with.
—Weakness Name: Prejudiced —Description: Cecilia will refuse to negotiate with Demons unless no one else in her party is willing and/or able to.
—Weakness Name: Sweet Tooth —Description: Cecilia has a love of sweets and will take her sweet time (no pun intended) enjoying the flavor. HP recovering items restore 5% less HP than they usually would.
OOC Notes:
I Desire Annihilation - Today at 8:17 PM Yeah, fuck it. You can have Maria controlled by anyone. Let's just say her thighs are swole enough to jump over trains despite carrying a 100+ kg weapon. :Maria:
Functionally she's still on the same track as Joseph for this turn. Next turn she'll be with Cecilia at the start and I'll handle tension controls from then on since we're switching Jamie out soon.

This train… Haru would just shake his head internally at this one as the locomotive kept going, but thankfully looked like it was about to come to an end. Regardless of that, he would take notice that Joseph was leaving the field and switching with the new girl. He wasn’t sure how he felt about this considering what had happened before. He just hoped the woman would focus. Speaking of focus, it would seem that for the first time in a long while the Cadet would lose his as he saw movement from Maria and saw her….jump? Fly? Eh? Over the train. Unable to hide his shock at this one, he actually reacted normally for once rather than calmly. “She did. I wonder what the fuck gave her that power.” He would say the words out loud and at volume where anyone on his side of the train could hear him.
The words weren't disrespectful at all. He was truly floored at this new development. Yes, Maria was strong. He knew that from experience, but when had she gotten that far ahead of him?….And when did he kind of stop caring that someone else was better at him at something? Huh. How strange, but not the time to worry about that now. Shaking his head he would focus becoming serious again. “The train is almost pass. Let’s be ready for anything.” The Cadet would say seeming more grounded and steady despite the air they were in.

Susan stared on uneasily as the battle in the train yard raged on along with Takeru. It was unbelievable. She was no where near on the same level as the other Cadets. Maria leaped over a moving train for Pete's sake, which only brought more questions to her mind and even less answered ones. How could she be expected to keep up with people like this...? Any confidence she had in her abilities (which was surprisingly quite a lot considering every prediction she made had consummately come true) shattered and rained down to the floor at her feet. She could observe everything and yet do nothing. It made her feel useless. It made her feel weak. It made her feel like she didn't belong here and maybe she didn't. But she was good at something here and that was picking up on the details. Susan could do nothing when Cecilia was cut off but it gave her ideas on strategic positioning they may be able to use. If only she had a line of communication to the team, she would just get in the way...
And then Joseph returned back as soon as the train was pulling past, slapping her on the shoulder and telling her to move forward. The woman froze for a good few seconds as did her heartbeat but she quickly resolved to meet the task. She needed to keep her team informed, even if it was dangerous. "R-right..." she stuttered, "G-guard the rear, J-Joseph." Though she couldn't quite keep up when approaching the site fear and adrenaline kept her feet swift to enter battle, shuffling to a stop with her P90 raised. Before she quite reached them Serah cackled unnervingly, almost supernaturally so. Susan nearly dropped her gun and tripped over her own feet but she barely managed to keep ahold of it. And then she found her resolve.
Seshat!
The papery apparition would burst forward and lunge at Serah to... draw a symbol of light before her. As the rune glowed it washed soulful healing over the crazy girl while Seshat twitched and faded from existence. "Listen to me!" the normally meek woman barked, "She's trying to separate us with the trains, it can't happen again! Stay in the center tracks, Two and Three! You have to trust me!"
Strengths: Light Weaknesses: Fire Overdose Strengths: None Overdose Strengths: None Passive Boosts: +5% boost to Support Skills Light of Latmus: +35% damage reduction
Personal Strengths —Strength Name: Professional Courtesy —Description: Some might use the words "repressed" or "vanilla" or "wet blanket", but Susan considers herself well-disciplined, polite, and composed in all circumstances. To a fault, really. Her obedient nature and adherence to structure rarely ever see her cutting loose or acting inappropriately enough so that it's ingrained into her psyche to be on her best behavior.
Charm and Rage have their success rates lowered by 15% against Susan.
—Strength Name: I'm the One in Control! —Description: During the struggle that occurs after withdrawal from Persona Overdose Seshat is still physically attached to Susan. While that means that Seshat can pull her around the opposite is true: Susan can pull back. In dire straights she can exert herself to guide a rogue attack from Seshat to somewhere more desirable.
Once per withdrawal from Persona Overdose Susan can choose the target of a skill she uses instead of rolling randomly. She makes this choice after rolling for her target. The skill is still rolled randomly like normal.
Personal Weaknesses —Weakness Name: Not According to Plan —Description: While she may seem like an aloof and cold businesswoman Susan is incredibly easy to fluster. She works very poorly under pressure and isn't the best at coming up with ideas on the fly, only before or after the fact. It isn't difficult to get her to stutter and stammer at a loss for words when dealing with a situation she isn't accustomed to.
Panic and Fear have an extra 15% chance to succeed against Susan.
—Weakness Name: Rip Off the Bandage —Description: When Susan enters Persona Overdose Seshat will partially merge with her in a bid to consume her as Artificial Personas are wont to do. To free herself from Seshat's bindings Susan must struggle both physically and mentally, and the process leaves friction burns, paper cuts, bruises, and even pulled muscles in her violent fight to gain control of herself once more.
When Susan is suffering the negative effects after Persona Overdose she loses 10% of her total HP every turn. This damage can and will knock her unconscious if she isn't careful but it can't result in her death since her Persona won't willingly kill its host.

Trust, huh? Haru would glance at Ms. Groves as she said her words giving a small nod that he had heard, but whether he would listen was up in the air. Either way he wasn’t moving from his track at the moment as his persona vanished and reappeared trying once more to hit the target….
