Onyx Rhine
“That’s more or less what I was trying to say. The point of advanced thinking is rather skewered when you cannot use it freely. If you’re stuck in the box, you could have been a one-trick pony and be in the same position.” Having the ability to think in advanced ways but only directing it towards one field by default was the same as being a book about that one field and not knowing much of anything else. Without being allowed the creativity of thinking for yourself and acting on it, the benefit of such intelligence is very stunted.
At any rate, Onyx would just shrug a bit on the matter of his own race. It wasn’t necessarily as if he had the best ever relationships with them, so what was the point? He could easily find other people that were worth his time instead of searching for someone of his own race he might never get along with anyway. He wasn’t really the type to favor blood ties over other factors. Nevertheless, he would wait in silence as the other read his message, taking the number once it was given. “I live around this area, so I’m always around.”, he would comment as he stuck the item into one of his pockets for now. “No thank you though, I should be fine. After all, it isn’t as if this meeting had been planned and we had an objective to accomplish here. I suppose I shall just be on my merry way for now.”, he would add in lieu of answering the question, giving the man a momentary amused look, before making a move to go continue with his walk with a wave of his hand, unless he was stopped for whatever reason.

| Milton wanted to explain what he meant to say better, but even he wasn't fully sure of want the director wanted for this type of mentality. When the flesh disappears from the Mekor gene pool, these bots would need to propagate advances and achievements on their own. In a way, he was probably an experiment in seeing just how much freedom a robot could be given before they need restraining. They would likely be allowed more freedom of thought once it was their time to take over Vel Mekor. But Milton did not need to concern himself with that; he and his family were separated from that tragic city along with Dr, Klein, the brains behind the logistics in his AI and the reason he isn't a brainless soldier like the other survivors.
"Well, I accomplished my objective anyhow. You've helped me gather a good amount of data. I look forward to seeing how much more I can learn about you."
As Onyx had waved goodbye as he strolled off down the road, Milton got up from his bench and made his way back to the lab, walking quickly so that the doctor and Anni would not be waiting long. "Information filed. Subject: Onyx Rhine."
