This was odd, so very, very odd. Down here in a place like this was most definitely not a place to be playing 'games'. Quite frankly he wasn't too pleased he was down here at all, he didn't have a death wish you know, he just wanted to help out a friend and happened to have a magical fox creature thing that shot ice and then got angry and shot... Blew? Wind out one time. So, he thought he could be useful? There were five of them and it wasn't like they were going very deep down, Gate's men had cleared this area out dozens of times without powers right? And what was he even thinking about again this has gone completely off topic.
Uh. Games, down here, not good idea. Nope. Plus he just wanted to get out of here as soon as possible, so was very pleased when ol' Horny made the same decision he would of done if he had the confidence to speak up first and to just ask him to do this strictly business like. Yeah the guy might backstab them... Though he agreed keeping the guy in check and not letting them disappear to an unknown location whilst still possibly watching them was the worse option. "... Or do you have something against the guy and want to get back at this 'companion' of yours yourself?" Kuzi would add on to the end of what Onyx had said, more so as it was just the extended part of his thoughts on the subject and couldn't help blurting his mouth out when curious. H-he really needed to work on that before it got himself killed.

I cross my arms and nod in agreement with Onyx. I don't think anyone was too keen to play with HABIT, looking like something ripped straight from a horror movie and all. However, we would all be lying if we didn't want that journal. From what the Traveler said, it's apparently the only thing able to lead us to salvation from this infection. But that doesn't mean we had to trust this thing, for all we know it's probably also trying to kill us in its own sick twisted way. From the way it talked I had a feeling we wouldn't be getting many answers from it. Here I thought we could at least relax in between conflicts, but now that we have this thing tagging along with us I was going to be tensed up all the time. Why is it that every time I do something for Gate or talk to him it always leads to trouble? Like, more trouble than the initial trouble you're expecting? No point resenting it now, all we could do is make the best out of our situation.

I let out another sigh as I take a look at our surroundings again, what made this all the more ominous is the fact that we were in a hallway and HABIT was standing in the direction we need to go. A shiver runs down my spine as I along with the rest of the group walk past him and he began to trail behind at a distance. “So, why’d you guys accept this job rather than taking a cushy holiday to the new planet?” I ask, “I’ve always just had a strange fascination for this place, the idea that unexplored territory was right under our feet was a prospect that excited me,” pulling out my sniper I begin to 'check' that it's functioning. In reality I was looking at the strange newcomer through the reflection of my scope. Something about him just felt off, and there was a nagging feeling of unease, almost like an aura around me that tugged in the strange being's direction. However, strangely along with the fear that I felt there was also a strange sense of hostility, boiling like a pot of water on the stove. I've never felt this way before but it was almost like a fight or flight instinct had been triggered inside of me as I continued to monitor it. Looking ahead it seemed that the hallway curved to the left but there was a door to the right.
Looking down the corridor there didn’t seem to be anything immediately threatening so I focused attention to our right. I crouch on the ground beside the entrance as the band gathered behind me. The door seemed to be reminiscent of a sliding airlock on a spaceship. Putting my gun away I slowly push it open just a crack and peak my eye through the opening. Immediately to the right there was a band of enemies near the far end of the room but I couldn't pick out anything past their silhouettes. “Looks like we’ve got company” I say, slowly drawing my sword and wait for the rest of the team to finish any preparations they had. Raising my left hand I extend 3 of my fingers while the other got ready to push the door. “They’re straight ahead at the far end. 3… 2… 1!” I count, springing up and fully opening the metal panel I wait for the members of my party to funnel through before charging in myself.

Sometimes trying to take control of something can be a pain in the ass you know? For example the demon did recall a conversation upon which he gave a hint of what he was to at least one in this group. He recalled wanting to make a comment before battle came to the scene, but what he had wanted to say back then he was unsure, the words melting as his world became a blur of sounds and motion. He wasn’t sure how he didn’t get hit in the heat of battle nor was he quite sure how he actually moved to follow the group without a single complaint of not gaining anything for being a statute. He wasn’t even embarrassed by the fact. He was just a zombie as he felt something tug at his horns and that somehow made his feet go. He moved staying quiet as internally a battle ragged between the two demons that lived within the same disfigured shell. It was a strange tug of war, but for once instead of either winning they seemed to have come to a standstill and so when the demon actually snapped out of his stupor, his playfulness had dulled down as he remain unexpectedly quiet through the whole transition between the others and their new companion…. Tibah he said?. Ah. Ah wait. Habit. Yes. Yes. Habit he had said. While everyone else was nervous about the guy or all to eager to jump into death’s embrace in one case, the demon found himself kind of intrigued by the guy with them. Perhaps the off air around the guy drew the demon to want to learn more about the guy or maybe it was simply his mood. Whatever it was that went through the demon’s head was a mystery and would remain so as he kept his mouth shut letting the others around him do the questioning as he did the listening...and fed off their fear and unease all around as he remained as cool as a cucumber despite how high his level of aggression remained.
If the little one on him had remained on his head, he would be able to feel a dangerous sort of coldness around the demon; however, he did not attack anyone in the group as he followed for now. When Nagami asked his question, the demon’s eyes would drift to him.
“First you want to know how we got our powers and now you want to know our reasoning for being down here. You are a curious human aren’t you, but we wonder if curiosity kills humans too and not just cats?” The demon would say his voice calm and non hostile, but definitely tinged with something unstable. Either way, it didn’t seem the guy would get a better answer than this for now as the demon became quiet once more as they approached the door. When the guy gave the information that enemies were in there, the demon eyes would narrow slightly and no grin would come as he simply waited. When the door was opened, the demon went right in and moved to engage the enemies there.
“Ekam siht emit, sey? Yesss.”

As usual, for some reason the small fluffs mind wandered off to areas of thought that seemed illogical to be worrying about at the time, instead of keeping his worries focused on the immediate he'd often look ahead to other possibilities that could occur much later. It was kinda to try and see if he could figure a way out of it before such a time arose, that and it just helped keep him out of the more current mess mentally. This situation wasn't playing too lightly on the little creature as he thought about what Gate might say when and if they told him they met this weird rabbit masked guy down here and decided to team up with them on their hunt. He wondered if Gate knew who this guy, HABIT, was or not... The guy was fairly high up in the Under which would of made him presume they were aware of him. Yet at the same time, surly something such as this would of been like. Mentioned in the briefing or something? Ya know? Kuzi didn't like the way he tailed behind them, he wondered if the guy would even talk at all whilst they traveled the place. Somehow them being completely silent was worse than when they were talking...
Shivering from the weird mood in his immediate area, the pink fluff couldn't tell if he was feeling his own nervousness leaching off of him, the strange presence that HABIT was giving off, or if his ride Demix was the one behind it. His brain wasn't there enough to come to a conclusion, though anyone who knew the little guy or even just from quite a strong difference from how he was acting when they first arrived down here. "I... Wanted to help..." Would be the only response Kuzi would offer in a meek tone to Nagami's question. Against his usual self, Kuzi was keeping extremely quiet. Not even raising a sound of distress or fear as strange rusted objects loomed over their path. There was just far too much playing on in his mind to be his joyful self... He didn't want to die down here... Giving a tiny nod to signify that he had heard there were enemies ahead in the room they were passing. Quite frankly he wasn't sure if he'd of ran in there on his own accord right now or just stood there blankly, yet with Demix at the wheel he didn't have a lot of choice as he rode the inky fella into battle.

Following into battle.

Onyx Rhine
Hm. Well, at the very least it seemed like they were in a favorable position for now. It was a little concerning to have an unknown creature teaming up with them like this, but Onyx would consider it one of the better outcomes that could have possibly happened in the end. Nevertheless, he would follow after Nagami, casting a glance at the rest of the team as the questioning happened. Eventually, he would shrug slightly. “It’s just a casual conversation, isn’t it? Not like our reasons are some big secret that nobody should know.”, he would comment in lieu of what Demix stated, kind of wondering what was even on that guy’s mind. “In any case, I figured that unless our stay in this world happens to be super short, it would be possible to go out on a trip after this anyway. While getting access down here is probably not as simple as that.” He’d wager that they wouldn’t be allowed to step into the Under for no reason just because they wanted to see the place. While going out to see this new world they were in seemed a lot more accessible. Who knew? If they made it out of here fast enough, maybe it would still be possible to go explore.
Trips aside, it would appear that the general vibe of the group was being rather weird at the moment, and he wasn’t sure whether that was a good or bad thing. It would be bad if they failed due to personal things cracking apart, as opposed to them getting defeated fairly in battle. Although, not like Onyx wanted to get killed here. That would be a rather unsavory end, and he would definitely not appreciate that fact. Still, right now their only option was to push on forward. Glancing towards the pink fluff, he would give the small one an inquisitive look. “Are you alright?” Though whether there would be an insightful answer or not, they happened to encounter a new group of enemies soon after, disturbing their advancing. “Let’s see if these go down as fast as the last bunch..”

...UH... HI THERE. WHAT I GOT SOMETHING IN MY TEETH?
HABIT would wave a little as Negami watched him from reflection in his rifle. CUS YOU'RE STARING... AND THAT'S WEIRD FRIEND. TRUST ME, I KNOW WEIRD, I HAVE A GIANT RABBIT HEAD. Habit would snicker to himself and stayed behind the pack, following silently humming to himself. When the group paused before the room, HABIT would gently tilt his head and snicker to himself.
HOW NICE, YOU'RE ALL BEING CAUTIONS.YOU LOT ARE SMARTER THEN YOU LOOK. THOUGH I SUPPOSE YOU'D HAVE TO BE. once the party charged forward he would adjust his mask and stomp forward with determination. CHARGE!

Looks like their new company wanted to be a part of the conversation too, eh? Onyx would smirk to himself faintly at that, but not comment for now as he left Nagami to answer the queries posed towards him. Besides, they had a bunch of new enemies to conquer. More of those weird statues and spiders...though that smoke thing was a new one. Hmm...

—Weakness Name: Mind over Matter (-10% damage to any attacks performed) —Description: Due to his immense focus on the mental side of things, Onyx is not so great at performing actions that require a good grasp of the physical environment.
—Racial Strength Name: Empathy —Description: Onyx was born with the ability to sense other people’s emotions, which is a trait appearing in about 1 in 1000 individuals of his race. This means that the man can naturally sense the current emotional states of the person/people that are around him, giving him the ability to understand them on a basic level, and be able to pick his own responses towards them more easily. (In combat, this ability allows Onyx to negotiate with enemies up to 5 levels higher than him, due to being able to be on the same wavelength as them by base)
—Racial Weakness Name: Emotion Overload —Description: All good things can turn bad in excess, and if there are people with extreme emotional states, or too many people with very conflicting ones, it can cause Onyx to become disoriented due to the overload of information his mind would need to process during such situations. Kuzi would rub his nose softly as Horny showed some concern towards him, trying his best to look back at the pale guy with a faint smile. "Yeah. I'll be okay. Just a little much for me, this place." He'd say with a short lived chuckle and sigh as they raced into the room with all the enemies and he summoned Denki in front of him again.
With one quick motion, Denki would whip her head around, ice seeming to fly out from her fur itself forming a ball of solid ice suspended in front of her. Once she was pleased with the amount of ice collected she'd blow sharply onto the ball as it cracked and shattered into multiple tiny versions of itself and pierced off towards their new foes.

The demon would hear the answers the others gave or did not give to Nagami; however, he would remain mostly quietly during the exchange his reaction to even the pale man’s words noticeably shorter than before. “Purrhaps.” Was all he would say in regards to it, his tone calm with only a hint of amusement there, but not as much as he normally would have. Indeed, his mood was strange and would not change as they continued to walk. When the other on his head began to shiver, he would say nothing to comfort the creature even as others asked if he was concerned. No he would stay mostly out of the conversation when it came to the pink fluff for the time being. His only reaction being towards the rabbit wearing man that seemed to have gotten a grin out of him thanks to his words, but nothing more than that as everyone entered the battle.
It was on the battlefield that the demon would shift, but instead of moving to attack the enemy right away, he would reach up and grab the small one from his head and instead hold the creature in his arms much like a pet. He would stroke the soft fur for a bit not seeming to be aware or caring about the danger in front of them for a few seconds as he enjoyed the touch of the creature’s fur under his gloves. Such a cute thing and maybe this odd behavior was his way of comforting the little fluffball. Who knows? Provided all at went down without a hitch, the demon would eventually shift the small creature so that he could hold it under one arm and free one of his hands. And look right on time too it would seem for after one had attacked it looked like he could do the same.
”Lleh?” The demon would repeat and then grinning maliciously, he would move his hand to command the earth around them. Loose stones and metal gathering up to form a ball of earth materials. When the size was big enough, the demon would flick his hand sending the mass towards the enemy.[/color]

The demon’s grin becomes dark with delight as it knows exactly what to do in this situation. He would lift his hand again calling upon everything that was of the earth within the place once more; however, instead of attacking the thing which was down, he would turn his attention to something else instead.
