|Subject: Music to my Ears [Morning Event :: Closed] Tue Aug 29, 2017 12:43 am|| |
A breath after another... The sweet smell of perfume.. The loud music booming through the area. It was hard for the young man to focus. A slip of the hand and all his hard work would come to an easy end. That was quite alright; quite alright indeed. If this would not do, than others surely would. He was no artist, but his work was that of a master piece. The slow knife cut the deepest, yet it took precision to get the right slice. If the subject flinched just slightly, it could cause the blade to miss its perfect mark. It would be best to cut the music, though the steady beat made it easy to focus even pass the blood. Oh, what a mess. He felt sorry for the one who would need to clean up such an unforgivable sin. A whimper escaped her lips, and he gently pressed his own together with a smile.
"Shh Shh... Do not go gentle into that good night."
His whispers were that of the sharp edge of a dagger. They were reassuring even during the most heinous of crimes. This young woman, entranced by his voice yet dying by its very toxicity, was stuck in a daze from a whisper in the ear. She did not expect her innocent date with the mysterious young man to turn into such a scheme. Forced to be alive... No, to stay conscious and watch as her own face was delicately cut from her flesh. Each cut was more painful than the last, and she wished to scream. However... she couldn't. One word from the man had silenced her. One order that told her not to make a sound, and there she was stuck in her silence as her face was carefully being removed. Her eyes flickered around the room looking for anything.. anyone to help. They came upon the karaoke box with its microphone in the hand of a young woman. Whether it be the loss of blood, or that very blood getting in her eyes... she could not see the young woman clearly. However.. the green hair... she could see it... It was burned into her mind as the young maiden would flow and sing with a deranged smile on her face.
//"I count on my fingers, the steps for this elaborate scheme
Everything’s going just as planned
If the prey is trapped, then after that
Everything will be perfect, so it’s all going well"//
Finally all went dark for the young woman as the man slowly peeled her skin back and removed her face delicately. She could not even close her eyes as she passed out from blood loss, now that the entirety of her facial flesh was now in the hands of this mysterious man. He looked upon his new prize before turning to look at his young, foolish partner. "That is a horrible song. Why don't you sing something alittle more uplifting next time?"
He spoke with a mocking tone to his partner in crime, and she simply giggled and threw the mic onto the couch in response. "Well excuse me. How about you give me a list of accepted songs and I choose? You're sounding no different than the government now, T. Let me sing what I wanna siiiing!"
Boy was she showing her age. Though, every new face she put on she let those acting skills of hers take over. The blonde man shrugged as he wiped a bead of sweat from his brow. At this moment the phone began to ring to signify their time was up. He would pick up the phone and acknowledge this; asking for a member of management to come meet him as he had some concerns about his experience.
In a matter of seconds a woman entered the room. Her eyes first glanced over his bloody, gloved hands, and then to the faceless woman who was currently sprawled upon the couch. Before she could scream, his hand grasped her face and forced her mouth shut.
"You are going to clean up this little mess, and dispose of this body behind the building. You will do this with your bare hands, being sure to leave plenty of finger prints for forensic specialists. And when you are questioned, you will admit to killing this woman out of jealousy or... whatever you women kill over these days." The calm man spoke his orders with a solid tone. She looked towards his face, but saw nothing.. just a smile as she felt herself fall into an abyss. Little did the woman know, she was being pushed off that tight rope she called sanity. The only thing holding her above the darkness below was that thin line, and it had been cut beneath her. Logic slowly left her, and all that was left was the toxic words that spewed from the mysterious man's lips. Her eyes slowly began to fade before a keen flash of amber came upon them. After a few seconds, they faded once more and she stood with a polite, blood soaked smile once his hand was removed.
"I have murdered this woman. I will dispose of her body behind the building. I will leave numerous finger prints haha... I will admit to killing her." She responded with a numerous giggles as if telling a joke of some kind. The man gave a sly smile as he turned back to his partner and removed his gloves from his hands.
"Time to go. You'll enjoy your new face tonight. Though the blood may not have dried by then." The man chuckled as he left the room. "Of course I jest. It'll be perfectly ready."
His young partner followed behind him, folding her arms behind her head and giving a crooked grin. She felt closer to mother than ever.. craving her warm embrace once again. Now, the poor woman had work to do. Because it would appear to be a crime committed by a regular human, the police would take the reigns of this investigation. Thus, the cadets of the city would be in for a rude awakening once the playful Jests came out in the open.
To be continued... at Night
