"
Good night, Hugo..." After having been scolded badly by their mother for running away, both Sonia and Hugo were forced to go sleep. Colette wouldn't understand. She hadn't seen what they had. The doors were now open, had it not been for the Master Key. It worried her. Knowing that the world outside was an unlivable nightmare. After defeating the demons and sending them away, Her, Autumn and Hugo had gone to take a peek outside, curiousity driving them forward towards the surface. Nothing could've prepared them for what awaited up there.
The entire district had been completely covered in thick sheets of glass and crystal, with people stuck inside glassy cocoons, dead since long ago. One in particular made Sonia's heart ache. She had seen a woman, clutching her 9 month old baby in her arms when the Area was glassed, her expression of terror and despair eternally preserved. Many such gruesome visages waited for them uptop. Even now, as Sonia stared up at her bedroom cieling, she saw the heartwrenching expression on that woman's face flash before her eyes.
It wasn't fair. She couldn't even begin to imagine what a horrible fate that would be. To be encased inside a cocoon of unbreakable crystal, left to suffocate. Sonia could imagine the screams of terror as Saint-Denise was being glassed, building by building, as the Dwellers of Vault Olympia remained safe down below. She had seen signs of riots. Crashed windows, burnt cars... trampled people. France had remained a violent hellscape well before the Fall. That much she knew now. So much for her father's idyllic stories about France's golden days. The years when he was young... fresh... free. People up above were living a nightmare, and Sonia had only really seen a bit outside of the subway station, and not much else. It was rather strange walking around up there in a place that was pretty much one instant frozen in time.
Sonia was needless to say... tired. No amount of horrible thoughts or theories could keep her awake. The mental tax on top of the fighting had left her exhausted, and thus her eyes closed, and consciousness drifted away to dreams.

A Tree...
A Single White Tree. A high-pitched noise kept ringing inside her ears. She stood in the middle of a Meadow, with that one, white tree standing in complete solitude uptop a hill. She was alone. Looking down, she found herself wearing an equally white dress. One arm clad in black armor. The other held an ornamented blade. Regal looking, with a sharp, black edge.
"A Storm is coming..."
Sonia didn't speak, and the voice was clearly not hers, yet... the words left her mouth.
"What was seen today was naught but a mere prelude of things to come..." Sonia remained confused. Who was 'she' talking to? The tree? Her eyes fell upon the White Tree again... it's leaves were black and inky, dripping some equally dark substance onto the ground.
"You are running out of time..." The voice sounded more distant, echoing throughout the dream like some ghost.
Snakes began coiling their way around her, as a storm rumbled in the background, the clouds forming an unmistakable face. The face of a demon. Three eyes, glowing green amids a sea of emerald flame hung high in the sky as an omen of things to come.
"Find me in Elysia's Garden.""I need you, Sonia."

Sonia woke up in cold sweat to her alarm clock ringing. Her bedsheets had fallen to the floor. "
W-What..?" The dream had been so confusing. Who was this person... and where was this "Elysia's Garden"? Why her? What did this all mean? "
Hey, you better hurry up, or we'll be late. Come on, Sis." The familiar voice of Hugo broke the silence. Sonia looked with tired eyes towards the door. Right... School. Something so normal felt so distant at the moment. "
I..." She paused, her voice hollow and tired. "
I'm coming, Hugo. Give me a second..."
