| ---------- What a night. It was his official first day back out of his rehab, and he was already put onto a case. Viktor arrived to the forest some distance outside of school grounds by car. He closed the door slowly, and then turned to look upon the dark forest and police tape that seemed to stretch half a mile. Walking into the forest, he'd bend down and move beneath the tape to enter the scene of the crime.
"What's the situation, Doc?" Viktor approached the officer standing in the midst of the scene. Considering the regular police were onsite and not the cadets, he could assume this was a regular crime committed. That was easy to take in, considering he wouldn't want his first day back on the field to be the pain that Psyche Terrorists certainly provided. The Officer seemed alittle perplexed as he flipped through the notebook in his hand. Apparently he had been taking some notes from a few civilians but also on the scene of the incident itself.
"Got a weird one here, Sir." The Officer began to lead Viktor over to the bushes where the form of a naked, slender body was hanging partially out. Immediately the Detective could notice something absurdly wrong with the body. Its face was horribly disfigured, and made them indistinguishable. Fingers had been chopped off, and nowhere to be found. Their head shaved, without a strand of hair found anywhere on the scene of the crime. "They were found this evening by a young lady and her boyfriend. This seemed personal, they hacked away at the body for some time, telling from the damage done to the face. But, this wasn't supernatural at all. This was just cold murder done by a human."
As the man spoke, Viktor closed the distance to the body and knelt down. They were stripped of anything that marked them as a human being. The Detective put on his gloves and began to examine the body thoroughly. For some reason they felt as if something about them was familiar, but any indication of who this person was, was stripped away. The young Detective would look for any birthmarks on the body as the officer flipped through his pages and continued talking.
"As for the people who found the body they gave mention of a mysterious car taking off just before they found the remains in the bushes. I can only guess whoever was driving that car is the culprit of this attack." The Officer suggested the obvious as Viktor stood and removed his gloves from his hand. "Did we get a plate on that car?" A simple question, but one that held importance. They could trace it if they did, but telling how the Officer cleared his throat the young Detective could already see that it was a a no. It was going to be a long night. The Cadets had their hands full with the Demons and Psyche Terrorists in the city, so it was Viktor's role to take care of the crimes by humans. And though he still dabbled in delivering Psyche Terrorists to the prison to be rehabilitated, he couldn't use that role as an excuse to pass on crimes such as this.
"Call for forensics. If there was a car, then there are tracks. You get the ID on those witnesses, I'd like to speak to them myself. Keep the crime scene as clear as possible; something doesn't feel right. Dropping a body so close to the school, knowing this is the base of operations for the Cadets, is asking for a backlash. Everything done here was deliberate." Viktor barked his orders and the officers moved on command. Rubbing the bridge of his nose, he couldn't help but sigh at the situation. It was an anomaly for murders to happen within Endymion. Yet with accounts of cannibalism and now this, was this city becoming forsaken by God? Regardless, this was something that could effect the image of the school, even if the crime took place off campus. It was best to keep close to the chest until more information was gathered. | |
