| The slow ascent continued as they walked up the gentle spiral, Until Tiny Tin made a turn that took them onto a different path, and he continued to walk as the boy made his comment on the situation, it was a question that he had asked himself once, but he figured the answer was simple, and so he had stopped dwelling to much on it, but this boy seemed to like to dwell on things like that, perhaps due to the fact that he didn't live down here? "This sector has always had limited resources allotted to it, This unit has seen other robots however most are in a state of disrepair or not built to the configuration that we are, their function differing much form ours. Also were were purpose built for this assignment from the day of our creation, our duty to the city has always been repair and maintenance" he answered truthfully as he continued on his path, though he was leading him through a darker area that had no lights so he turned on the flood light attached to his front and the guide lights along his body to illuminate the area so the boy could see him and the danger spots. "Please stay close as the lights in this section have been damaged, repair work on the lights will be done upon this units return, but for now..." he lifted a hand and sprayed a glowing paint along the empty side of the path writing out that it was a drop and unsafe, and then he continued on, having made the edge readily noticeable for anyone walking through the area. tool jams on a 3 - Random number (1,10) :

| Ace would hum to himself as he followed, finding that he didn't quite have a whole lot to say anymore. After all, regardless of how would he phrase his questions, it always got down to how repair was a duty and all. Guess this one was content with things the way there were despite the fact that it could potentially be easy to make improvements? Ah well. How did robots even work in terms of free will anyway? He wasn't too familiar with the concept. ''Say, how are you robots different from non-mechanical people outside of the increased durability you spoke of?'' Might as well go into a different realm there, while they were still walking. And then a lot of darkness came. Power outage? Welp, that must suck for the people that live close by. The winged demon would shake his head slightly as he squinted ahead through the light. ''I'll be fine. I can see well in the darkness. In fact, it would be appreciated if you try not to shine the light into my eyes too much.'' He could adjust to dark well, but then concentrated light could get really unpleasant in turn. Mainly if it flashed him too abruptly. - Strength/Weakness stuff:
—Strength Name:Night Vision —Description: Ace's eyes are well adjusted for darkness, and thus he can see quite sharply even during the night hours, or in dark places in general.
—Weakness Name:Blind Light —Description:As useful as his eyesight can be, it is pretty sensitive to bright light, and a sudden strong flash could even cause him to have very blurred sight for a brief period of time

| Walking along the little robot nodded as it made sure to keep it's brighter flood light on it's head pointed forward, away from the one he was guiding, as he was unaware of what things the boy could do he simply treated him as human, as it was a decent base line to go by. The dark area didn't last long and as they got to the end of it he turned his lights off and proceeded up the large ramp "We are nearly at your destination" he informed the traveler as he proceeded. Though he then went on to ask his question.
"Due to the differing builds and capabilities of other beings it is hard to pinpoint all the differences in the two, for instance, most have problems seeing in the dark, while you do not, some are all together blind but perceive their surroundings through other means that may be more detailed then your eyes and more akin to the scanners of a robot" he answered.

| ''Hmmm, I suppose you've got a point. There are way too many species living here to make a solid distinction unless one chooses two specific ones to compare.'' Tough game for sure. Although, he had been wondering more about the type of consciousness than physical attributes and abilities. After all, robots didn't have brains and all like the majority of other races did. Muscles/nerves vs. gears and cables, ya know?
In any case, he would pace along for now, looking around when they came out of the darkness again. ''Say, where exactly are we headed to?'' He'd assume probably somewhere towards the ward that was just above, but any specification would be nice and help him get back on track faster.

| As they walked and the ramp slowly changed to a more orderly looking thing Tiny Tin nodded to the boys assessment, it was true that it was rather pointless to compare such a large grouping as many would have skills unknown to the others, but focusing on one group would mean bringing up things others could do and so the comparison would still be impractical. Though his section question was something far easier to answer as it was more something that could be answered, since the city had distinct places.
"This unit has brought you to the area known as the Middle ward, the passages and roads here are clearly mapped and illuminated, making your traversal to your domicile easier, As this is not the ward This unit is assigned, we must part ways here" he turned to look at the boy his lights already off so there was no risk of harming his eyes "Take care on your route home, if you require assistance ask one of the security force to aid you, and please watch your step. If you have need to access the lower ward once more please contact This Unit for guidance, getting lost in the lower ward can be dangerous" he said as he printed out a strip of paper with his radio frequency for the boy and held it out to him.

| ''I live all the way in the Top ward. But I know my way from here, so it's no problem.'' He didn't really get lost often, and if he happened to, it was down in the Slums due to how complex they could be at times. He would have a sad time at his job if he didn't know where he was most of the time, wouldn't he now? The winged demon would chuckle slightly as he got the paper. ''Sure, thanks. Perhaps we shall meet again one day. My job is mail delivery, so I will have to come down here again in the future. Just got unfortunate today and apparently took a wrong turn somewhere.'' Rest in piece a simple get in, get out job. Oh well though. He'd live in the end, as long as he didn't get himself killed somehow. Now that would be a problem hard to recover from...
That said, he would give the robot a friendly wave before taking off. ''See ya. Good luck on your repairs.''

| Tiny Tin waved to the boy as he took off, "please watch for cross traffic on your way to your domicile" he said as he turned and headed back down to the slums, his job escorting the boy was done, so now he returned to the task of repairing the lights in that one section, as well as installing a guardrail no the walkway there, a task that wouldn't take to long. But he had spotted a number of other issues on the walk up that he would need to take care of as well, and so the small robot headed off to continue his seemingly never ending work. ~END~ | |
