Sure, a gigantic tower popping up and time freezing were usually bad things, but she saw that as an opportunity to right her wrongs. After trying her hardest, she was still never strong enough to save the one that she loved, even when it mattered most. Limbo, the place where shadows lurked and where people came to know the power of persona; it was also the place where she lost the person who mattered most in her life. After she escaped from her old home town, where limbo had already started to leak out, she had to watch as limbo was sealed back and as her power of persona started to turn dormant. Eventually, she could barely hear her persona's voice and all seemed lost. Each day was a constant reminder that he was still stuck there, a constant flashback to that day where she almost lost her life to save his. Cyril Vaans...

The Tiny Train Wreck [Open] Tumblr_mus0cbyMAW1ricjqho1_500
Back to the day where she ran from her life with a bunch of idiots who had wasted their lives, and for what? Gabishi disappeared after that, and that Kahn kid wasn't anywhere to be found for awhile. There was no way to save Cyril once Limbo was gone, but maybe opening up limbo again would help her get him back. That's exactly what her next idea was, to study the tower from afar and determined what her next course of action was. Opening up limbo would be hard, and probably was a task she couldn't do alone. She had even been offered power from a man who presented himself as Cyril, but she turned him down. She would have to do this with her own power, and not the power of an outside source that she had no idea about.

The Tiny Train Wreck [Open] Original
Stepping onto the grounds of the tower, she would take in her surroundings, finding a small table under a tree where she would take a seat. Honestly, she had no idea what these people planned on doing with this tower, but it obviously didn't scream 'party for humanity.' It didn't matter to her much, as long as she could save him in any way, because nothing else mattered. He was the only person who was nice to her, the only one who cared enough to ask her how she was. Even if he was corrupted by the shadows and couldn't speak again, as long as she could just see his face in something other than a picture. She had visited his mother a lot after he was shadow-napped, and she even woke up after limbo was closed down. It felt nice to talk to her, even for a second as she told her about her son and how he was missing. It didn't matter much, so for now she would just sit quietly while looking up at the tower. Salmane Sokida had arrived at the tower, and she had plans that she intended to carry out.

A day had come and gone again making this day...Day what? He wasn’t even sure anymore. He had been wandering the outside area of the tower for so long he had lost track of time by now. He only had the tower that he could not exactly figure out how to go about tackling alone. He had examined the tower from every angle trying to formulate a plan, but everything he could come with fell through as long as he was alone. After who knows how long of planning and studying the tower, Sephtis felt quite agitated with the process. He needed to move forward to find answers to the questions that plagued him, but without a solid stone to even step on how could he even do that?

Was he truly blocked from this tower? Had he come to yet another dead end in his travels? It…It could not be…..

The white haired man walked about once more his tanned hands resting at his sides as the sword that could not be unsheathed rattled lightly in its covering. What to do? What to do? Hm?

Sephtis came to a stop in his walking and thinking as he was distracted by the presence of another. Grey eyes would look up from the ground and scan the area before landing on a pink haired girl with glasses sitting at a table not too far from where he was.

Odd. When had she gotten here and why was it only now he had noticed her? Had he been that deep into thought? A bit curious and yet highly cautious of new people in general, Sephtis would clear his head of the questions for now as he instead headed towards the only life he had found since getting to this place.

When he was a respectful distance from her, he would stop and after a few seconds of finding a small bit of courage to actually speak, he would address her with a simple.

“Hello, miss. …You wouldn’t happen to be here for the tower too would you?” he would say his voice audible despite the soft way he spoke. Not the best of hellos, but at least he had said something and that was an accomplishment for the usually quiet and shy young man.

“Hmm?” Looking up, she would note the new arrival as he entered the area. He seemed a bit nervous, which only reminded her of Gabishi and the way he used to act around her. Though it didn’t seem like he posed a threat, she would grip her evoker, trying not to let her guard down at all. “You could say that.” She’d push up her glasses, keeping eye contact with the boy. “So how about you? I assume you’re here for this eye sore?” That’s all it was, an eye sore, another leach to attach itself to her home region. Sure it did pose as a chance for her to make up for past mistakes, but she still wasn’t strong enough to even protect or save anyone. The only thing on her mind, was saving the one that she loved, even if he didn't remember her or hated her. As long as she could see him again, she would be happy and able to move on with her life.

Managing to hold his ground quite well despite being before a complete stranger, Sephtis’s grey eyes would watch the girl carefully despite his nerves. When he saw her grip what appeared to be a weapon, his nerves eased up a bit as his eyes narrowed the slightest bit. He wasn’t being hostile, but if this woman attacked, he would not hesitate to defend himself. Despite the tension, the man remained calm enough as he heard her words and gave her a light nod of understanding, his eyes remaining locked with hers.

“Yes. I am indeed here for this tower, Miss….” he would trail off as he gestured for her to introduce herself if she wanted to. Either way, he would not move from his spot as he continued to observe her quietly. He didn’t exactly trust most people he met…especially not women who threatened him right off the bat. Still, he was willing to give her a chance if she could prove she was worth working with and the risk associated with teaming up with her. After all, there would be less babysitting on his part if the other could take care of herself….

The thought was cold and a bit unnerving to the young man who felt it came from someone that was not him…and yet was him. It was a confusing sensation, but one he kept buried well under his calmness. He could worry about odd thoughts when he did not have someone to attend to. In any case, he wouldn’t say anything else unless prompted by the woman to do so.

She'd keep her hand on the evoker strapped to her leg, still not a trustworthy girl at all. Though she didn't pull it out at all, especially because of the fact that that could've started a fight. The first time she went in to save Cyril, she almost fought those idiots, and in the end they died anyways. Their lives didn't matter at all, and neither did anyone's in this tower. Even her life, the only one she had, didn't matter at all. She would trade it any day for another chance to save Cyril and get him out of that horriable place. All she had to do was open limbo again, and then she'd be able to save him again. Sure, she was crazy, but that's what he used to love about her. "You're not the talking type... You remind me of some friends I used to have, both of them were like this." Not adding anything else, she would stay quiet until he responded. This was obviously how they were going to speak to eachother for the time being.

Sephtis kept an eye on the girl, his left wrist resting lightly against the hilt of the sword at his side. The action wasn’t hostile, but rather casual, but still if need be he could pull the sheathed  item out to defend himself from whatever the girl might be trying to pull. Her hand still rested on something perhaps on or by her leg. He still wasn’t too sure what it was she had, but the action alone was not comforting. Still as long as she did not do anything rash, he would remain non-hostile. He really couldn’t afford to start fights if he wanted to find a way into that tower and potentially the answers he sought.

Sure this one before him wasn’t trustworthy in his book, but perhaps trust wouldn’t be required if they could work in towards a similar goal; however, before such deals could even be discussed one big hurdle had to be overcome: Actual conversation.

Sephtis being who he was, was not the greatest at starting conversations and he was even worse at keeping them when he was unsure about something. Apparently the girl figured this out pretty quickly for her next words had the young man tilting his head lightly to the left as he raised his eyebrows slightly. Her words were a bit surprising, but also amusing. Straightforward wasn’t she? Well, he could handle that.

“Is that so?” he would begin in calm tones before continuing. “You’ll have to forgive my silence. I’ve traveled alone for so long I sometimes forget the ways of socializing.”

The words would remain non-hostile as Sephtis shifted in his spot carefully and took a few steps to the left before resting again.

“Your friends…did they not come here with you?” he asked after a moment. He was curious as to why this girl was here alone to begin with…or if maybe that was a trick of its own. Perhaps her friends could hide well in this space….

Salmane sighed, placing her hand on her face. "My friends have long since passed. One of them disappeared a long time ago, and the other got trapped in Limbo. I don't really have that much luck when it comes to friends honestly." It was true, the magician's curse got her good, anyone she loved died or dissapeared. All her friends were gone and she was still alone. Looking down at the seat across from her, she would motion for the boy to sit, cracking a half smile. "Don't just stand there, you can sit." Taking her hand off the evoker, she would fold them on the table, hoping she didn't make a mistake. If he attacked her and she had no way to summon her persona, she would be screwed. "What made you come here anyways? I mean of course it was the tower, but why did you feel the need to come to it?" Maybe he had a good enough reason, but she honestly didn't care, not unless he wanted to open back up limbo like she did. "You got a name kid?"

PostSubject: Re: The Tiny Train Wreck [Open]   The Tiny Train Wreck [Open] EmptyMon Aug 10, 2015 11:41 am

“I am sorry to have asked,” Sephtis said as he looked to the side, an apologetic look upon his face. While he could not recall any friends of his own, he could imagine the pain of their lost being heavy for her. Out of respect, he made a note to be careful when asking about such things in the future. After that moment had passed he would tilt his head lightly at the other, curious about her other words.

“Not lucky when it comes to friends? Forgive the pry, but what do you mean by that?” he asked too curious for his own good. He would give her a moment to answer before focusing on her actions. She was offering him to sit at the table with her? Spehtis hesitated a moment debating briefly with himself before settling on a decision. Shifting in his spot and going towards the cable, he reach out for the chair pointed to. As he sat down, he noticed the girl went from hiding her hands to resting them on the table. Mimicking the action slightly, the young man would lean slightly forward resting against the table casually.

It seemed at least the tension of being attacked by the girl had dropped a bit now that they were more or less on even ground. As he settled. the girl asked a set of questions that had the lone wolf pondering how to answer that for a moment.

“My name is Sephtis and to be honest that is really the only thing of myself I have now-a-days. I have been searching for myself for a long while now, but everywhere I have gone has led me to dead ends. This place and tower however,…I cannot explain it, but something about it pulls me to it. Drives to wanting to find out what is inside,” Sephtis told the girl honestly. While it was true anyone could take advantage of his words, he’d adapt to that. “And what of you? What is your goal for being here?”
