Robots maketh no food [Gus x Tiny Tin] 6855242783_9db8007426_o

The Slums were an amazing phenomenon indeed. Same as in every other world, influenced by the factors, they were never the same, yet they always were. It was easy to lose track of streets, houses, people...especially people, to the pits of the slum.

It wnt into Gus's favor, this truth. He always felt welcome to the Slums as none bore vicious memories of him. Truthfully, many people were aggressive, yes, but at everything and for a general reason. Meanwhile, he could enjoy himself in the shadows.

This time, he walked in the light, taking long steps through the streets. He had no intent on hunting anyone right now. He had no intent for anything in particular. Some children ran by and he smiled at them. They didn't notice. The usual. Gustav smiled and chuckled at this. He really did like children.

And so he trailed off further. He needed to at the very least take in his surroundings before moving back home. His robes were a painful contrast to everything around. His eyes glistened white. The time of the Jump was nigh...and he would make full use of the curtain it provided.

PostSubject: Re: Robots maketh no food [Gus x Tiny Tin]   Robots maketh no food [Gus x Tiny Tin] EmptyMon Aug 07, 2017 4:25 pm

The little robot was wandering around, repairing faults in the walkway, and broken lights returning lights to the walkways as it journeyed through the slums on a path it had planned out earlier that day, following the route to repair things and take the requests of people that needed help, a few children running over to him with some broken toys that he took and repaired quickly before handing them back, the children giving him a hug and thanking him before running off to go play. when he first woke there was no toys for the children to play with, and after some major repair work he had then built some toys for them. so many years later toys in the slums were regular things. though he did need to keep repairing the ones that broke.

Moving on down the walkway he stopped at a heavily damaged sign and after realizing the sign had no use here he started to take it down to re-purpose the metal for use elsewhere put it inside his storage space for now as he broke it down and folded it up to make it fit, all before heading not two meters away to start repairing a door to a home. unaware of the large man walking down the main road.

Gus was by no means overly curious. He wouldn't chase a wild goose just for the sake of it. Regardless, when he caught glimpse of the small robot at the side of the road, making what seemed to be a series of random repairs, he walked closer to it and placed a hand to his chin, looking down at the machine.

"And what might you be doing?" He asked in his deep voice, looking at the robot still. "If you wish to repair this entire place, I am afraid that might be quite an impossible task, even for one as hardy as you, I believe." He smiled politely at the robot, shaking his head. "Intriguing, despite all. Is it safe to assume you are a sort of repair bot?"

Robots maketh no food [Gus x Tiny Tin] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Robots maketh no food [Gus x Tiny Tin]   Robots maketh no food [Gus x Tiny Tin] EmptyTue Aug 08, 2017 4:30 pm

Tiny Tin continued his work, repairing the door, but as he finished he moved on proceeding down the street and stopping at a street light that was rather pointless in the area due to there being a working one right beside it, so he started to take it apart and placing the scrap into his storage bay for the time being for use elsewhere, as he could think of several places that it would prove more useful, It was as he did this work though that a citizen walked up to him and as he broke the useless lamp post into smaller parts to fit into his storage bay he looked to the man as he asked his questions.

"This unit, is engaged in maintenance of the area, but is currently breaking down this lamppost to use as resources for repair elsewhere as it was not needed here" he answered and then the man made a statement and Tiny Tin answered that as well "The possibility of the task is not the concern of this Unit, it was produced for this task and will do it till the day function ceases or it's position is no longer needed, or it is reassigned" he finished breaking down the lamp and a child ran up holding a broken toy, and once more he fixed it, the child running off after giving him a kiss on where his nose would be.

The child was followed by a woman though that held out a pot with a substantial amount of damage done to it, Tiny Tin took it and worked the metal, repairing the damage and removing the rust and other health risks from it before handing it back to the woman who thanked him and left to her home. He then returned his gaze to the man as he made another question "That is one of this Unit's many functions, we are also here to assist and protect the populace" he said as he looked to the man for a moment longer "Do you require the aid of this Unit?"

Robots maketh no food [Gus x Tiny Tin] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Robots maketh no food [Gus x Tiny Tin]   Robots maketh no food [Gus x Tiny Tin] EmptyTue Aug 08, 2017 8:29 pm

Gus smiled as he listened to the robot's tale. It was one he really should've expected, although he was still quite boggled by the reasoning behind assigning a repair bot to the slums. It wasn't until he saw it repairing a child's broken toy and a woman's old pot that he started to piece together several possibilities. He ruffled rhe child's hair as it ran past him. This was either a dysfunctional robot that came to be loved in this here community because of the 'good deeds' it was doing, as these people seemed to know to go ask it for help with their broken stuff, or it was a robor programmed or reprogrammed by someone from the slums in order to help fix them and everyone's lives. A noble cause indeed, though most like one in vain, as he already mentioned. Sad, yes, but true.

The word 'protect' sounded important enough in its vocabulary. It stood out among the rest it said.
Gus was intrigued even further and he crouched next to it, looking at it. "Only if you can repair a broken mind, little robot." He gave a short chuckle as he stood back up and dusted his robes off. If it was protecting the slums, would it be mad if it found out he was kidnapping people from there? Gus couldn't help but smile, waiting for its reply.

Tiny Tin walked a short ways and started to repair an exposed wire, fixing the wire and insulating it and covering it once more so that people would not trip on it nor get hurt by it, it then continued to repair random problems it found around the area as he decided the man may be done talking with him, though then the man seemed to come down to look him in the eye and present to him a question, an odd question though, could he repair a mind? probably not, however a medical facility could possibly have the required equipment.

"This unit lacks the expertise needed to repair a mind, however there is the chance that the medical facilities of the next sector will have the required equipment to help with an issue of that nature, sadly this unit is for maintenance of structures and equipment, not biological maintenance, is there any other way this unit may provide assistance? perhaps guide you to the required facility to aid you?" he asked as he looked up at the man.

Gus smiled at the young robot. It was soothing for whatever odd reason to watch it perform its work. Gus himself was never one to disregard the little things, or the old things, or the broken things. Seeing one as naive as the tiny bot share the sentiment, even if probably just in the programming, still made his day a little brighter.

He pat the robot's head as it tried. "I would love it if you would guide me." He said with a tinge of fun in his voice. The large demon then stood up and joined his hands, now masked bs the robes. "But you seem to be busy doing your own work, so I could never ask such of you. Thank you for offering, little one. May I ask for your name, though?"

The man patted his head and the bot looked up at him as he accepted the help but it seemed he didn't want to take him away from the area, though the repairs were needed helping a citizen came first and so Tiny Tin was ready to reply. The man though also asked for his name and he seen no reason to give it "This Unit has been designated Tiny Tin, As for our duty here, helping the Citizens is This unit's primary duty, guiding you to the medical facility would not take long, and This unit will then be able to return and resume it's work" he said with a little nod.

honestly it would be easy to lead man to the medical center, after all it was only a ward away and then he could simply return to the lower ward and resume his work, the place was in no danger of falling apart, and other then that one bare wire there were no other dangers to the populous to worry about

Gus wasn't expecting the little robot to so willingly accept his request. What he thought at first to only be a program set to repair the disheveled slums and assist the people within it soon appeared as a much wide array of functions nearly rivaling will itself. It wouldn't be too strange to see a robot like that in Junction, and meeting one only invoked a heartfelt smile on the large man's face. "The name fits you, Tiny Tin." The sentence was a statement he delivered without a second thought, suddenly and already finding himself growing quite fond of the robot.

"I would like if you'd take me there, truly I would." The demon continued, deciding he would enjoy continuin to converse with the robot during their travel. "I see I have been wrong in my initial assumption regarding your function. I feel a need to apologize for coming to premature conclusions and hope you are not offended." Gus said as he joined his hands behind his back and followed Tiny Tin.

As the man accepted his help Tiny Tin nodded and started to walk "This way please, This unit will guide you to the designated medical facility, please be careful on the journey and watch your step" he said as he started walking, though as he did the man started to Apologize for his apparent assumption and Tiny Tin turned around to look at the man...well as much as he could given him body shape, but he did continue to lead him on towards their destination "This Designation is one we hold, and are glad that the people have come to know it, it aids us in our work to protect and aid the citizens" he said in what almost could be assumed was a cheerful voice.

"As for your assumptions of this unit, there is no need to apologize, many have made the same assumption before, many more will make it in the future, This Unit knows that many are not aware of this unit or it's proper functions, as such we do not expect the people to know fully of this Unit's purpose and function" he said as he continued to guide the man. a few people waving to the small bot and he in turn waving back.

Gus chuckled at the tiny robot's response as they walked. Robots were sometimes so human it felt like he could just eat this one up if he really wanted to. And the need was sort of rising, honestly. Had Tiny Tin been a biological being, he'd probably already have taken it to one of the alleys and devoured it whole-that was just how this robot's words were sweet, especially when it told him to watch his step. So caring, my my.

"That's a very interesting point of view if I may say."
He looked down at the robot with a gentle look. His smile betrayed no ill intent despite him harboring the aforedmentioned mental debate. It was because the demon didn't feel his intents were ill in the slightest. They were just a way of life for him. "Well then, Tiny one, who'd given you your purpose in this world, if I may be as curious." Gus asked the question to pass some more time. Plus, he was genuinely interested in the small piece of metal.

PostSubject: Re: Robots maketh no food [Gus x Tiny Tin]   Robots maketh no food [Gus x Tiny Tin] EmptySun Sep 10, 2017 4:27 pm

Tiny Tin Continued to lead the man along the pathway, and as the man spoke he turned a little to let him know he was listening, it was something he knew humans, and in the case of the city as it was lately other citizens, seemed to need some confirmation on, though it made sense, why waste the energy if the other will not listen? So as they walked he listened to the man asking about the person that gave him his name, he nodded a bit as he seen no reason to not give the information as the person would have liked to have people know of her when she was alive.

"Annabelle Martin was the person responsible for our name, She found us, and repaired our chassis, repaired some wiring, and aided us after a confrontation with a criminal element that had attempted to harm the civilians in our sector, all targets were removed, however this unit suffered heavy damage, and was found by Annabelle Martin, after our repair she gave us our new name, so we have carried it since her death over two hundred years ago" he said as he walked along, he had been there when she died, it was peaceful and in her sleep, he had been in the hospital at the time with her, and he still had all the moments and time spent with her saved in his memory banks.
