Meeting Nola (Gabe)

Nola was at home now making something to eat for the moment, she knew Gabe would be coming over to talk with her, and she was worried, she already heard what Alister and Myrna had to say about the situation, but she was still worried Gabe would try something, but she had to talk to him, he seemed to want to get to know them all, and Alister and Myrna seemed to understand him a lot better then before, so she continued to make the light supper, she wasn't sure if Gabe would want any but she was making enough for two just in case, worse comes to worse at least she would have food for later right?....hopefully that was the worst that happened. But she continued to fret as she waited for him to arrive.

"so far, there's the tolerable Alister, something I'm used to. I might have to avoid Myrna more often, she seems to leave me rather...exposed..." Gabe was put on the defensive for once, and it was affecting him a bit. All of that aggressive talk or how Alister carries himself. Regardless of what he called it, it was quite similar to the then unprecedented rage of adults in general. Not the same of course, but the high pitched yelling wasn't something that bothered him so much anymore. Myra was something else, and that's all Gabe could say about that.

"And now the third, Nola. " Gabe said as he rang the door bell and waited outside.

Nola was in deep thought...well deep worry really, as she made the food, and just as she was plating it there was the loud sound of the doorbell and she outright screamed and dropped the plate she had in her hands, thankfully it was empty, but it did break on the floor and she was crouched down as if expecting shots to go whizzing over her head at any moment. When that didn't happen she realized the sound was the doorbell and she carefully picked up the pieces of broken plate and putting them i na bag to dispose of later and she headed to the door a bit reluctantly.

As she got to the door she checked the camera and seen it was Gabe and she almost screamed again from fright, but she managed to hold herself together this time, though she did shutter at seeing him, she was scared of him, that was clearly evident, he had threatened to kill her after all, granted indirectly,but he had said with such a clarity of purpose after accusing her of being one that she was worried that he was just looking for a time to strike. The worst part is it made her feel sad to be scared of him, because even though he had declared such a thing...she still seen him as a friend...especially after what Alister and Myrna had told her.

With a sigh of worry she opened the door, hiding behind it a bit as she looked up at the taller man, some fear and apprihension clearly in her eyes "H...h....hello Gabe...umm..c....come in...p..please..." she said as she opened the door wider for him but noticeably keeping the door between herself and him as she did so. It would be very noticable that they why she held herself was like someone expecting to be beaten for the smallest mistake at the moment, a far cry from how she used to hold herself.

Gabe nodded his head silently as he let himself in when he was invited by Nola. “Excuse me…” Gabe would say as he walked inside and took off his light coat, putting it on the nearest rack. After he got rid of his coat, Gabe would sit at the nearest wooden chair and slouch down as if he was pondering something. To be honest, he was thinking on what he could say to her. “…….” After a small moment of silence, Gabe finally addressed Nola.

“Nola……look….. I’m sorry for what happened these past few day."

As he walked in Nola moved her way back to the kitchen and started to put the food on the plates, one new plate now there since she had to replace the broken one, she was going to say something but when she looked at Gabe he seemed to be thinking so she kept her mouth shut and continued to get the food together. After a bit more time she had it all plated up and ready and she carried it to the table, Sitting down she picked up the fork and was just about to start eating a bit, though her eyes where on Gabe the whole time, as if watching to see what he was going to do.

Even though she was watching him his voice caught her by surprise and she jumped a bit, letting out a strangled scream...almost a squeak, as she nearly dropped her fork, that fear from before still in her eyes as she looked at him and listened, "Umm....w...wh...what..d...do you mean..." she asked, not sure what he meant, did he mean sorry for the incident? or was he saying sorry for pretending to be her friend and now he was planing to carry out what he said he would do and kill her?

The small girl looked at him, half scared to death of him just suddenly lunging at her, and half curious as to what he had to say, and another half of her worrying that maybe she was makig him mad just even considering one outcome or the other, basically she was a bundle of nerves that were constantly on the edge of tears and fear.

"Im sorry for being mean... sorry for... not being as accepting of your situation as i should be. I guess you could say that my reaction was a bit fraudulent since i'm supposed to be your friend. A comrade in arms that you should be able to talk to and depend on. And i let you down, i understand that. " Gabe then noticed that she dropped her fork and picked it up, heading to the kitchen. "You shouldn't use dirty utensils, and i didn't know you was having your supper. Expecting your parents later? " Gabe then turned on the sink and grabbed the sponge, dappling a little bit of soap as he washed the fork clean.

"Well, i wont overstay my welcome. I just wanted to apologize to you, that's all. I feel like.. i was ...unfair to you. " Gabe then handed her back the fork, waiting for her to take it.

Nola looked at him as he started talking, that fear still in her eyes, but as he spoke the fear started to fade and it was now only worry, worry that she had made him mad, or that she had done something else wrong, and as he finished and started to clean the fork she sat there looking at the plate of roasted chicken, and rice that she had made for him and it had remained untouched. She looked back up at Gabe who had returned and was holding out the fork for her and she gently took it from him, she had yet to speak but as he mentioned leaving soon she pointed to the plate she had set out for him.

"M...my..p..parents..a...are out...r..right now....b..book...booking things..f..for my....my next concert....t..that..p...plate..i..m...made.f...fo..for you..." she said in a voice that was far different then before, it was still scared and worried, but some how..smaller, as she looked up at gabe with a hopeful look in her eye that he would sit and eat. "M...maybe..w...w.e..c..could ....t..talk?"

"Oh, the life of an idol is always busy. As a matter of fact, i wanted to talk about that with you as well. " Gabe would say as he looked at the food with a surprised look on his face. "t-that was for me ? Oh, how rude of me, i didnt know that...." So she actually wanted him to stay around for a while and eat with him? "Very well, we shall have dinner together for the time being. Thank you for preparing a meal for me. " Gabe would say this with a respectful bow before taking a seat and waiting for her to sit. "As soon as she did, Gabe would look to her.

"Hey, Nola. Did you hear about the idol murders. I think you and your siblings should take a break until it blows over and the police do their jobs. You're starting to get popular after all, which is good and bad.

Nola listened to Gabe as eh spoke and nodded a bit, she had heard of the situation and she started to speak "That's why my parents are checking the place.....they want to make sure they have all the security there that they can...We can't just disappear...being an idol means you have to make sure people can see you...or you will be forgotten, and then it's hard to get back into the light after that" she answered as she nibbled a bit at her food as Gabe joined her, she only nodded, after all why wouldn't she make him some food to?

"T...thank you for..w..worry though.." she said as she looked at him "I was...worried....that you hated me...." she said as she sat there tears welling up in her eyes as she said those words.

"Hate you? Of course not, it was anything but that, believe me. I was just perplexed, thats all. " Gabe would then mull over what she said as she started eating. "I understand that, but what if it's the worst of our fears. What if its a demon attack that seems to have a thing for attacking idols. Would that mean that me, selenus, and Tatusi would have to escort you everywhere? It wouldn't only be your lives in stake, but the fans who came to see you, and maybe even your loved ones. It brings complications when we think about what truly can make you safe, and that not "Average individuals."

They can no longer afford to be ignorant about whats happening around them, much to Gabe's dismay. "Being an idol also means you have to be smart about business. How about something new and inviting? Like how beyonce recorded an entire album no one knew she was releasing, then just released it. Nothing like that you can do? It can be your own self gratifying excuse to take a little time off . I have no desire of you unintentionally being bait for a psychopath.

She continued to eat as Gabe was talking, she couldn't help it she was hungry, but she was also relieved to hear that Gabe didn't hate her, he continued to mention things wanting to kill idols, and mentioned it was a demon, but she knew one thing from trying a few personal experiments, demons seemed to only come out at night...at least her pawns anyway, and she never seen Gabe, Tatsui, or Selenus use their powers out in the day light, so it seemed a fair explanation, also she knew that if it came to that they would be the only ones targeted if the thing wanted to target idols.

"If I get in danger....I know you three will be there for me....like I am for you...and..I am able to protect myself if it's a demon...I have pawns...but if it's a person....then it might not matter ether way who is with me at the time if they know where I live....so I can only live like normal...or live in fear the whole time..." she said as she seemed to have already dealt with that worry
whether she dealt with it lately or long ago wasn't easy to guess but she had dealt with it before to the point that it didn't really seem to bother her.

"Is that really the case? When was the last time that you managed to find yourself in a situation where people were harassing you? And how did you handle it?" Gabe would ask a rather sensitive question, but he didn't like how she brushed it off as easily as she did. "Well, you don't have to answer, but i cant make any promises that i'll be there any second that something happens, so we need to think of a plan whenever this does occur and you have time for a few moves. Have any way of contacting selenus? Or maybe a way to send a text? Whose the fastest texter, maybe a code to know that something is wrong?"

Gabe then thought again. "We don't have an indiscriminate phrase that insinuates danger, do we?"

Nola continued to eat her food as Gabe asked his questions, clearly more relaxed now, but keeping the distance unlike when she used to not mind sitting next to him, though she didn't shy away from him, the question was a personal one but one she already answered a bit ago to Selenus so she seen no issue telling Gabe, though he seemed to want to know the number rather then any specifics other then how she handled them. "Three stalkers, four paparazzi, three people that wanted to marry me or my sister, fifteen girls that were trying to sneak into Alister's room or other wise be alone with him, and four attempted kidnappings...all obviously failed..." she said as she rattled off the list.

"the same trick worked for all of them, we would watch and learn who they were, how they acted, the distance they liked to be, then we would lead them into a trap for security, police, or people like that to handle...some of them had to do with me being an Idol...others because my parents are decently well off..." as easily as she mentioned all this it seemed she was tired of it but at the same time used to it, "but I can fight if I have to...though I don't want to...and if it's a demon...I have pawn to defend me until one of you can arrive...or I can try to take it on on my own, as for texting...I have a text ready to go out at the push of a button on my phone that lets Selenus and Tatsui know if I am in trouble..." she finished.

"We as a group don't have any such code though..." this was clearly a different Nola from before, that tone of voice that she always had was...changed...even after relaxing she seemed on edge for something but it was hard to tell what.

"Tell me about the alister break ins. Oh.. wait... another time boyo...carry on." Gabe said with a wink. He really couldn't help it, he loved messing with that kid, reminded gabe a bit of himself when he was growing up. However this bit was about Nola this time, and his eyes widened with the amount of implications of stalkers they had to deal with in a short amount of time. "Wow...... i guess.. it all sounds tough. Having wealthy parents, as well as being as popular as you are. But when it comes to your different siblings and your parents, are they made aware of all three of you? Or is there a personality that takes most of the parental bonding time?

She was about to inform him on the other break-ins but when he asked to do that some other time she nodded a bit, as he made his comment about it being tough she nodded a bit as she popped another forkful of food into her mouth and chewing on it a bit to get some time to think, she didn't quite know how to explain this as this was something that probably was better to ask all of them at once rather then just the one of them, and in the end she decided it was best to let him know that. "Honestly, that would probably best asked to all of us at once then just me...as for the popular part, some people want to be near you because you are famous, others because you have money, others because you are seen as desirable in some other way or form, and some just want to be famous themselves by being seen near you, but that's the minority I think, the most are just happy to have that one thing in their life that makes them feel a little happier, like music to listen to, or a role model to look up to".

She took her time to have another forkful, and to give Gabe the time to have some as well before she continued, "What do you look to? Who do you look up to? what makes you want to be around me? or others?" she asked as she looked out the slightly tinted and shaded window, no one could really see in, but at least it gave them a view of the outside.
