It's Talking Cats and Foxes (Zavie)

"Hm..." Terra wouldn't bother to try and get more out of Proxy now, he could tell from the few times he had heard her speak that she wasn't one for changing her mind on something so there was no point. He'd probably be better off just holding back his questions for a later date, besides, whilst his little conversation was going on he hadn't even realized what the two kids were up to. "Uhm..." O-oh, this was not what he had expected, nor what he would think Proxy would agree to either, carefully Terra would return to his weapon form to be hidden away as to not disturb the two kids... And to be prepared if Proxy tried anything.

"It was only short, cause ya kinda jumped back as soon as it happened but I'm pretty sure it was a purr!" The girl would say with a reassuring smile, gooooooddddd, Zavie just kept getting cuter by the second! She wondered how he even made that noise though, she knew that she couldn't replicate it if she tried... T-totally not because she tried to once after meeting a cat and hearing it purr when she stroked it or anything, d-don't be silly!

"It makes you special Zavie! And being special is an amazing thing! Having something you can call your own and just your own that no one else can share with you. It's your special gift and its a gift you should be proud of!" The girl would say, repeating a line that Kay had said to her once when she was feeling upset about people not understanding who she was. It was always going to be hard to be different, but that just made you unique so it wasn't all bad!

The girl would giggle to herself. "You like it too then, huh?" She'd say teasingly as she raised her hand back towards the boys head. "Sure, I don't mind. It's kinda funny to feel ears like ours that aren't my own, you just tell me if you want me to stop, 'kay?" The vixen would continue as she began gentle scratching at the boys ears again, being careful not to hurt him in anyway whilst secretly wishing that he'd do the same back to her afterwards.

"Aww, don't be silly! I'm not meaning to tease you anyway. I'm just saying its super cool that you're part cat! I bet'cha lots of people would love to be like us if they could! Maybe? I dunno. It's useful though right? Do your ears make everything much easier to hear like mine do?" She'd question curiously, she wondered just how similar they were in terms of how their animal parts worked. Like she knew that she had better hearing and sense of smell from it! Even though her nose didn't really look any different. Maybe he was slightly different? What were cats good at?

Callie would giggle at the boys comments before nodding. "I know what you mean! Before I met J and 8D I'd never had anyone touch mine either, not properly anyway. It's a weird yet nice feeling, isn't it?" She'd say with a bright smile as she continued to pet the boys ears, trying her hardest not to giggle when he began purring again which just resulted in her smiling even brighter. She was really glad he enjoyed it, and that even though he was clearly embarrassed at the same time he still let her continue.

"Huh?" Ahh! Even at the fact he asked made the girls tail wag with pure joy and excitement. She'd never had anyone else touch her ears in the same way 8D did! Kay and J had touched them before, but neither of them really scratched them or anything like that. She wondered if it would feel any different when Zavie did it? "That'd be awesome! I'd love you too!"

"I kinda more meant as if it became an accepted thing that no one would have to hide anymore..." The girl would say with a light hearted sigh of her own before smiling reassuringly at Zavie. She kinda knew what he meant... It wasn't the most fun thing to do to have to hide yourself away all the time, but she still took pride in who she was even if other people wouldn't! She was who she was and that to her was a good thing!

"You don't have to thank me!" Callie would say giggling. "I was the one who asked if I could in the first place, remember? If anything I should be thanking you for not calling me weird or anything, hehe." She'd add as she ruffled the boys hair a little. She still found it a little odd that she was technically petting Zavie in the same way you'd pet a cat or a dog. She had never really thought about it like that when someone else did it to her...

"Mhm!" The girl would say, blushing as well as Zavie began to rub her ears. She's close her eyes and smile as her tail wagged back and forth happily. She was right! It did feel different than when 8D did it, Zavie was a lot more gentle and caring about it. It felt really nice the way Zavie scratched at her ears. She'd blush even brighter as she suddenly thought how embarrassing it would be if 8D somehow saw any of this. This'll probably be one thing she wouldn't tell him she did today. Especially as Zavie wanted her to keep it a secret anyway, she'd be sure to keep to her word!

"Hehe, I don't mind! We don't have to stop until you want to!" She'd say with a bright smile. "I'm enjoying this just as much as you are anyway!" She'd add with a lighthearted giggle as the pair took it in turns to scratch at each others ears. It was still unlike any other experience Callie had ever had. She wouldn't even know how to explain it if she was allowed to talk about it with someone else, it was just a good feeling. Like, you knew that someone cared about you kinda feeling?

Eventually the girl would rest the side of her head against Zavie's shoulder. "You're the best Zavie..." She'd say with a light yawn. The young vixen was still exhausted after everything that had been going on recently, let alone how badly she slept last night with so many nightmares keeping her awake. As happy as she always was, she was still prone to getting worried about things. But all this had finally let her feel relaxed for the first time in a few days.

Callie would rest her head with a peaceful smile, closing her eyes and feeling as if there wasn't anything else in the world she had to worry about right now. She felt warm and protected. The girl had been happy for most of her life. Anyone who knows her knows she is rarely anything but, yet the thing that filled Callie with joy right now was so very different from any time before. It felt perfect. She never wanted it to end.

"That'd be g-Yaawnn-reat Zavie..." The girl would yawn before remembering something. "But I gotta get back for work tonight... Though it doesn't matter if I-yawwnnn-'m a lil' late... So a nap wou...ld be... gre--..." Before she could finish her trail of thought, the girl would doze off rested against Zavie. She knew she had to get home at some point... Yet if this ended up just being a short nap of if she did stay over she didn't really mind anymore at this stage. She was just happy to be here, in this moment right now.
