| Riiggghhtt, it was around here somewhere. Come on, it hasn't been that long since you were last here! It was just a little over this way right? Or... No, maybe more over here? NO! That! That undeniable smell of cats! That had to be him right? Yup, yup, totally! Wow, she really needed to make a map or something, or just try to recognize the landmarks, like that tree! And that streetlamp! To be fair the first time she found this place was completely by accident and she didn't really pay much attention as to how she found it then...
"This has got to be it!" The girl would shout out to herself as she dashed down an ally to be greeted by a ridiculous number of cats that she remembered from last time. "Hello there little ones, I'm here to talk to Zavie, any of you know if he's home?" She'd question towards the cats before looking up to the window she remembered climbing up to before. "Hmm... Could one of you maybe go fetch him for me if he's up there? Pleeeaassseeee?"

| "I never expected parents to be so... Annyoing and persistant." The calm but ever aloof and very cold voice of Proxy would ring through the normally warm and bright young boy. He'd sigh gently as he listened to her contemplate the worth of his parents and the worth of their supposed 'team.' He didn't really have anything to say... If he was smarter he wouldn't have gone into the arcade last night... They were already pushing their luck getting ice cream but going on that adventure just made things... Less good for him at home.
His parents were furious at him and Grins. They couldn't believe a guardian would not contact them before taking their child anywhere. He hadn't thought about that originally... He had such a good time and nothing bad happened and the mission inside of J's basement was fine and nothing went wrong there but... Things happened in that Arcade. Something happened to Callie that scared him and made Grins act serious for the first time in... Well, since the boy had met him. It was something he found more important to think about. Proxy, on the other hand, thought it was a liability that they should keep in check.
"Can we talk about something else, Proxy? We should probably think about what we learned from last night and not focusing on my parents so much... They are just worried about me, you know." he'd say aloud, causing Proxy to hum with a little annoyance. That seemed to be her only emotion aside from careful and concerned... It was hard to tell if she was ever in a different mood.
"Yes yes... We learned that demons are befriendable... Though, this is not a free task. However, it may prove worth carrying multiple items of worth in the future in case smaller demons are easy to sway. Furthermore... It seems our ally Callie may have latent abilities we could exploit in the future..." she'd muse to herself, concocting a flurry of plans and ideas that made Zavie slightly sick to his stomach. He didn't know why, but the fights they had undergone last night seemed to awaken a ruthlessness in Proxy he wasn't very comfortable with. It frightened him at times.
However, their train of thoughts would end as a cat would jump into his room, meowing a message a fox smelling girl was here. The boy would smile happily before jumping to his window and looking down at Callie, waving his hands at her."Hello Callie! You can come up here if you would like."

| The young vixen would watch as one of the cats she had asked would jump its way up towards Zavie's window and start meowing inside, awesome! She, uh, really didn't expect that to work if she was honest. The girl was just having a bit of fun and then was gonna climb up and take a look in for herself, but this works too! Not a moment later, Zavie's head could be seen poking out from his window. Smiling cheerfully at seeing her friend being in, Callie would return the wave and start the climb up to Zavie's window herself.
"Hiiii~!" The girl would call happily as she got up to the window. "How've you been Zavie? I didn't get to talk to ya much after last night cause, well, I fell asleep and all! You were gone by morning, obviously, how've you been? You weren't in too much trouble were you? You weren't hurt or anything bad, right? You... D-di-..." The girl would stop and tilt her head, at a sudden loss for words which was most uncommon for her as she noticed something. "Y-yo..." She'd stare unblinkingly at the boys head, unsure of if her eyes were playing a trick on her or if the boy was teasing her after seeing her ears yesterday and decided to buy fake ones to amuse her. The girl would suddenly go from standing motionless to practically diving herself at Zavie to get a closer inspection. "Z-zavie! A-a-are these real!? They can't be, can they!? H-how would you have, why didn't you, who, what, where, wait! Is that why you didn't seem that freaked out when you saw mine? Oh my god, am I not the only one like that!? Oh my god, that's so cool! Zavie! Zavie! Tell me it's all true!" She'd cry out a barrage of questions, not giving the boy even a second to respond to any of them before asking the next until asking him to answer her as if he was holding back all the answers.

| He'd smile and step back from the window and onto the soft floor of his bedroom. With a few steps forward, he would sit on his bed and listen to her bombardment of questions as she approached the window. He was trying to think of something to respond with but a nagging feeling kept tugging at the back of his mind as if he forgot something.
That nagging feeling would soon become full on fear as Proxy's form would explode out at Callie's realization and dive through the window towards Zavie. He was so surprised and confused that he didn't know what to do besides putting his now gloved hands up to his face."W-What? Yes? M-Maybe? I-I can barely understand you right now!"

| "Oh come on! Get ya paws out ma face!" The girl would say, too excited by the whole situation to be thinking even slightly rationally as she tried to move Zavie's hands away from his face. Disappointed by the fact there was now a hood covering her perfectly good few of Zavie's head. "Aww! Come on, ya gotta show me if it's true! I need to see, it's like nothing I would of ever imagined! I truly thought there could be no one else, let alone someone like you! It's so awesome! Coommmeee onnnn! Shoooww meeee! Show me! Show me! Show me!" The girl would cry out impatiently, far too excited for her own good, b-but for good reason! This was unbelievable for the young child, she just didn't know how to process it all at once! "I think you're scaring him..." Terra's voice would say within Callie's mind as she paused for breath in between her huge rambling question-pocalypses. "Maybe if ya calmed down a bit he could actually answer some of those questions you're screaming out, nehehe."With a deep inhale, Callie would try her best to not just keep exploding from her excitement, yet she didn't know for how long she could hold it all in... "Come on, spill the beans!" | |

| He was so confused and speechless he didn't really have any words. Proxy was infuriated, though, that wasn't something new. She proposed that he should shove her out the window and call for help but he didn't really like that idea. Instead, he would simply put his paws on his lap and stare at Callie blankly until she stopped talking and said to spill some beans.
"What are you talking about, though, Callie? I am so confused..." he would respond simply, waiting for some not nonsense phrase to escape her. Could she just go out and say if she saw them or not?

| Callie would take another deep breath in, twitching slightly from the excessive amount of adrenaline that was circling her body but not being allowed to use. "I... I..." Gah! Trying to talk without suddenly bursting into infinite lines of questions was so difficult! How did normal people do this!? "Y-your..." The girl would point at Zavie's hood with one hand, roughly around the place on his head she thought she saw his ears. "Those! Under your hood!" She'd try desperately to explain, her brain working in over time just to try to form a coherent sentence. "B-before your hood appeared! I-I swear I saw ears just like mine!" She'd say, pulling down her own hood so that her fox ears were on show, flicking her left ear to emphasis on what she was talking about. Zavie already knew about them anyway, and no one would be able to see them here so it wasn't necessary to hide them. | |

| He'd fidget and stiffen for a moment, looking at Callie with wide eyes. So she did see! His fear blossomed into a full forced panic before Proxy audibly sighed. Callie would be able to hear her disdain for the situation as she slipped back into her bead form, tied tightly within Zavie's hair."S-So you saw them...? J-Just do not tell anyone, okay? If people found out... They would be angry at me..." he'd say quietly as he brought his knees to his chest. He... Hadn't really expected it to happen this way... But... With a small smile, he would flick his tail out from its usual very uncomfortable position of being tied around his waist.
"Do you have a tail too? I do! It is kind of fun to swish it around!" he would say cheerily. This was... Kind of exciting, he thought. He never got to talk about his parts with someone before! Though, he was still a little worried. Proxy was keeping him on edge as per usual, but that was the catlike nature of his being, he supposed.

| "Ehmagawsh!" Callie would practically gush at the sight of Zavie's ears. "I can't believe you're just like me!" The girl would say with the utmost glee, throwing herself forward to give Zavie a big hug. "Of course I wont tell anyone! I'm not someone who doesn't know what usually happens when people find out! We can keep this as our super duper secret!" Any and all things that Callie had originally came over here to talk to Zavie about where long gone from her head and quite honestly didn't even slightly matter anymore in comparison. "You have a tail too! Ahhh! You have one just like a cat! Oh my god that's so adorable!" In a slight rush that ended up with her hurting herself slightly, Callie would also remove her tail from its awkward position to be in full view, which with her current excitement and the fact it was free now would allow it to start wagging back and forth rapidly with how happy she was. "Yup! I got one too, but mine looks a lot different from your one, my ones more like a fox's tail! Just like what Terra has!" | |

| He'd smile but he was confused still. Very confused. She had the same traits as he did, but how? He knew he should probably just be enjoying this moment but... Could Callie be connected to that doctor? Or Terra connected to-
"No." Proxy would say coldly, silencing Zavie's train of thought. He'd continue thinking if Callie hadn't hugged him. That he wasn't expecting... Not even Proxy expected that. The conflicting emotions they both felt crashing against each other in their combined conscious hurt a bit, but the boy would simply smile back warmly before gently returning the hug.
"O-Okay... Our secret then. Do not tell anyone else, alright? Not even Grins... It has to be a secret." he'd say firmly with a nod of his head. He didn't know if he could trust Grins fully yet or not. Maybe in some time... But right now, he somewhat scared him.
"D-Do you think so? My mom and dad do not like to look at it much... I like it, though." he would say with a happy nod of his head. It was true, his parents didn't really like acknowledging his specialties, but the boy didn't mind. He couldn't blame them for being like that.
"Proxy is a cat! Maybe that is why we have different tails... I think that makes our ears different too. I think mine are not as fluffy as yours." he'd state with a small flick of his ear. He'd pat it gently with a small humm. Were they different?

| "Aww, not even 8D?" Callie would say with a teasing smile before nodding. "I promise, no one will ever find out unless you give the word its okay! I'd say do the same for me, but 8D already knows about mine. No telling any other soul though!" She'd agree cheerfully, it was a shame he didn't want 8D to know too, she would of loved to see his reaction to it! But a promise was a promise, and for as long as Zavie wanted to keep it a secret from people she'd hold up her end of the secret! She was just super glad she managed to catch him out and see them for herself.
"I really like it! It's really cute and it suits ya! Don't listen to your mum or dad, they're amazing!" She'd say, fussing over Zavie's tail, watching it move around as if she had to keep an eye on it at all times to keep it being real. "Do you like mine? Mine's all fluffy and stuff!" She'd turn around to look at her own and embarrassingly notice how wildly it was wagging behind her. "Hehe, mine always does that when I'm happy or excited." She'd say, blushing lightly. "It's really hard to keep still sometimes when I have to keep it hidden away!"
At that moment, Terra would appear on Callie's shoulder, intrigued by how happy this whole event was making Callie and wanting to take a look with his own eyes. "Neheh, you change your hosts appearance too I see?" Terra would say aloud, directing his words towards Proxy. "How interesting, you figured out why that happens yet? I've been stumped on it for ages."
"A cat? That does make a lot of sense as to why they're different! Do you think there are anymore people like us? I didn't think there was more than just me before today, what if there are loads of them all hidden about!" She'd daydream the thought that one day there would be this big reveal that loads of people had animal like ears and that all of them would be accepted as normal people and didn't have to hide away anymore! Yet that was all just wishful thinking. "C-can I... Touch them?" She'd ask timidly, suddenly feeling the urge to see how different his were from her own. "To, uhm... Compare fluffiness!"

| He'd hum for a quick second, wondering what to say or respond at all. He knew how much Grins meant to Callie, but he simply didn't trust him right now. In time, maybe... But something about him rubbed him the wrong way and it worried him.
"I, um... Want to tell him myself, alright?" that was a simple enough lie. Though, he felt bad for lying. Proxy was a bad influence at times, she encouraged lying almost all the time if it meant a safe escape or something like that... But, this wasn't meant to hurt Callie. It was meant to make her feel less hurt, right?
"You have a really fluffy one! It looks bigger than mine... Maybe that is because you are taller than me? Do you think our tails will grow with age?" he'd ask with childish curiosity. Time didn't really seem to go by fast for him, after all, every day was almost always the same warm, fuzzy, and sleepy day for him. He was curious about that bit of the future though. A bigger tail to swish and sway!
"It was not intentional. The nature of how we were bound together was not stable. I would consider this an unfinished fusion of our bodies. It is most troublesome, especially with these fanatics..." the shadow would reply back with disinterest in the situation. These two were no threat as of right now and there was no real point in hiding this fact.
"T-Touch them...? I-I mean... Um..." he'd blush in return, a weird feeling flowing up in him. He was embarrassed by it... And didn't really know what it was... But it wasn't a bad feeling. He kind of wanted her to touch them and for her to be close but he didn't really know why and it confused him and he honestly almost shook his head no but instead he nodded it. She had her invitation to touch his ears. That was weird.

| "Okay." Callie would reply simply, she knew how hard it was to reveal a huge secret like that they both shared to someone, the fear of not knowing how they'd react and the constant worry that everything could just go wrong or they'd tell everyone and you wouldn't be able to go anywhere or do anything anymore was horrible! It made sense he was being careful, she usually was too. Yet they both managed to slip up and reveal it to each other... They should both probably work on that more. "You tell 8D whenever ya ready, and if you never are we can just keep it between us. Kay?"
The girl would giggle happily as Zavie analyzed the pairs tails, she'd always thought that Zavie was cute but all of this just made it ten times better. "Maybe? That would make sense that they grow with you if everything else does! I'm pretty sure my tail wasn't this long when I was younger." She'd say, running her hand through her own tails fur. "Although I dunno if mine is actually longer than yours, yours is pretty long ya know! Mine just looks big cause of all the fluff on it!" She'd explain, showing the fact of how much fluff was on it with how far her hand sunk into its fur when she ran her hand along it.
"Well, no I never did it intentionally either. It was just a side effect of the whole process. Yet it seems to make Callie happy despite the problems it can cause, so it's not all bad. Whatever makes her happy is good enough for me, nehehe." The small fox shadow would reply, finding it kinda weird to be talking to a set of beads in a boys hair but eh, he's done and seen weirder things.
"If it's okay with you that is!..." The girl would add, herself too feeling kinda weird about it after saying it out loud. She was just curious about how fluffy they were, why did seeing Zavie blush like that to her request make her feel funny? Yet in a way it made her want to even more so when he did eventually nod his head she'd slowly inch herself forward so that she was within arms length of the boys ears. "I'll be gentle!" She assured him as she carefully reached out to touch the boys cat ears. They were all fluffy like hers! Yet he was right, they weren't quite as so as her own, they were still super cute though. She'd giggle to herself as she scratched behind Zavie's ears in the way 8D did with her. "You were right, hehe, yours aren't quite as fluffy as mine. They're still super adorable though! Do you want to feel mine too?"

| He'd nod his head gently at his words. It was comforting to hear them, to say the least. Even if he did slightly lie about why he wasn't ready to tell her... He supposed she summed up what he was hiding pretty well. It didn't matter too much though... In time he'd tell him. Probably.
"I suppose so... I do not remember if my tail was shorter or not, though. I do not have any pictures of it and I do not measure it so... I just do not know." he would say with a gentle hum before looking at Callie's tail. Maybe it wasn't bigger than his... But he wasn't going to just grab her tail either. That would be... Weird. Or rude... Or both.
"I more so meant we were not forced to fuse by outside sources. It was an accident done in a most peculiar fashion." the shadow would reply dryly, already bored of this conversation. Zavie didn't really want to pay attention to them talking... Not now, anyways.
He'd let her lean in and gently touch his ears. He honestly had never felt them being touched by someone else before. It felt... Really nice, actually. Like someone was making his head all fuzzy and soft and it just felt really nice! He couldn't help but lean in gently towards her hand and release what was clearly a purr. That caused him to blush brightly and instantly jump back in a fuss.
"I-I, w-what was that!? T-That was... I-I do not know what that was! I am sorry! I-I just... Made it! B-But not intentionally! A-And, i-it was not rude so d-do not be mad!" he'd stammer out in confusion and uncertainty. He just made a weird noise he had never heard before! Wait, did he hear that before?

| "I never properly measured mine either, that would be really hard to do properly! I just tend to play with it every so often when I'm at home and bored, and from what I remember I'm pretty sure its gotten bigger over the years." She'd explain as she continued to run one of her hands through the fluff of her tail. It was nice to be able to, it always ended up feeling super cramped and horrible by the end of the day if she had to keep her tail tucked away and hidden all day. It was nice to be able to let it be free to move and stuff for a while!
"Huh?" The fox would seem confused by the other shadows response, they weren't forcibly fused? Then how did it end up happening? Surly there must've been something or someone at work for it to happen, it can't just happen out of the blue for no reason can it? Although, Terra could tell by the way Proxy was talking that he wasn't going to get much information out of her. "You're not, gonna elaborate on that. Are ya?" He'd ask, might as well passively ask and hope for the best for curiosities sake.
Callie would smile, glad to see that Zavie was clearly enjoying the fact she was scratching his ears as he leant closer to her hand. She knew he'd like it! That was what 8D did all the time and it always felt really nice when he did it to her! "H-huh?" The girl would seem just as confused as the boy was when the purring sound came out, she'd pull her hand away as he suddenly jumped back and looked all flustered. She'd sit there for once on the receiving end of the none understandable blabbing of someone who was too panicked to know how to construct sentence. All the while smiling to herself, little connections of adorable events making links within her mind all with one end thought in her head. "That wasn't rude! That was just like what I said happens when I get happy and my tail starts wagging, hehe. If you really do take after a cat shadow then you must show happiness like cats do! By purring!"
