As Eva spoke, Milan simply shook his head to Eva’s suggestion. “It’s not wise. I suggest we just allow them to join us, and move on. What she is going to do may lead us to him, even if we don’t know what he may be at the moment. It’s just safer.” The girl looked at them and tilted her head, clearly not understanding what they were saying, but Angela left the choice up to Raina. It wasn’t clear what would happen as the result of either decision, but the former Angel did not want to intrude on it unless she asked for her advice. | The widow would hesitate as she saw the girl flicker in and out of existence again. Something wasn't entirely right about the situation, she could feel that much. She was probably dead, no, almost positively dead at this point. The way certain words made her flicker out as if she were a light running on nothing but faint fumes, it made her breath out shakily. She knew what she had to say as she brought the book to her chest. The words that would end this girl's light and bring her to her son. Was this the price she had to pay? It felt... Hollow in a way. After all, this girl was already dead, fated to return to nothingness like her son. She might as well...
Her train of thought was cut short as Clarita stepped past the widow, standing next to her side and looking over at her. She knew the turmoil that was going on in her friend's head. It was plain as day to someone who had seen the same face so many times before. "No, I can't pass up this opportunity. I can find him. I can finally save him. I-I won't let anything stop me. Not even if it means killing someone." she'd say forcefully, convincing herself of the right thing to do. She'd explain it all, every last detail that Jack had told her. She wouldn't spare a single word even if it meant this girl's demise.
"But this isn't the right way! What about back in the world with Beep? Weren't you going to sacrifice yourself for the life of some program? Why is this any different?" the doll maker would question, stepping in front of Raina with her exposed eye slanted. Something wasn't right in her friend's thinking, she knew that much. She wasn't about to let her make some terrible choice like she had almost done so with that YuFoSa guy. "And before that, what of the king? You tried to save him then, didn't you? What exactly are you thinking now?" she'd say with more force, drilling her words into her friend's head as well as she could.
"Saving them...? What, you think it was out of kindness?" the widow would say with a dry sigh, she'd look up at Clarita with anger in her eyes. She wasn't happy about being persecuted for her current actions. She wasn't about to let all her hard work go to waste. She wouldn't let it happen under any circumstance. "If I had housed Beep, I would have gained access to that entire world's database. I could have found a way to save my son in that world. And the king, no doubt he had power I could utilize if I had saved him. Nothing I have done has been out of the 'kindness' of my heart. Everything I have done has been to save my son." she'd say with cold eyes, taking a defiant step towards Clarita. She wouldn't let her get in her way. Not even her best friend, not even Jack, not even a god could stop her now. Is that right?" The doll maker would say, a small smile on her face. She'd look up at her friend with a shake of her head. She couldn't believe it, honestly. She knew she was right... Something had been terribly off both times she had tried to save the people. They were only just tools she had tried to put in her box. Of course they would've been... Why else would she risk her life to try and save them in the first place?
"You're not lying... Are you? You really would have only used those poor people to save Nilo? Even though they had lives, a family?" she'd say with a small voice. She was stunned, honestly. What else could she really say? If she had been so willing to risk her life to gain such powerful tools... Why would she even hesitate to use a tool that had fallen into her hands.
"I've come too far to hesitate now. She said she could do it. She could find where he is in here. I'm not going to pass up the chance to save him. I can't! I've spent the last two years of my life trying to find a way into this cursed place and now that I'm here, I can't just stand by and not make the hard choices." she'd say with another defiant step forward, causing the doll maker to take a step back. She wasn't going to let anything get in her way, not after all she had been through. Not after everything she had done and said. She couldn't falter now, she wouldn't!
"So you'd really risk her being to find her son? Even though Angelica said he'd be in the center of the core? Are we even there yet? Right now, we're in some forest concocted out of this place's twisted reality! You can't really be serious, can you? You'd really risk this? Even though it probably won't even help?" she'd say, doing her best to drive her point through. She knew Raina wasn't above this, that was already made clear. But, she couldn't stand by and be the quiet overseer anymore. Not like the angel that was helping them now, or, the lack of help as it were.
"Don't forget, don't even act like I and Jack haven't helped you through so much. We've been there for you when no one else was. You were alone, I know that feeling. I've been alone for my entire existence, Raina. Would I do anything to get some sort of family back? Some sort of comradery with those who made me? I'd do the exact same thing you're doing now, but is it worth the life of a stranger?" she'd ask with a solemning tone. She didn't know what else to say. She knew that there pasts weren't the same, not even in the slightest. But she had felt loss, and so did Raina. The widow would say with tears streaming down her face. She didn't mean the words, she honestly didn't. But she wanted her to shut up. To stay quiet. To not talk about what she was doing because she knew it was wrong. But what other choice did she have? She had to save her son even if it meant her life! She couldn't let some stranger get in the way of that! Not now, not when she was so close!
"You don't know what it's like waking up one day and having your son be gone. Waking up to an empty house that you shared with someone... You don't know what it's like to feel your heart stop beating when you hear those dreadful words! He was so young, Clarita! He wasn't even a man yet! He didn't deserve the sentence those hellish angels gave him! He didn't deserve what this one did to him right here!" she'd scream, sobbing as she forcefully glared at Angelica before turning back to Clarita. Even if she had forgiven the angel, it didn't erase the fact she stole something precious from her. It didn't erase the fact that she had sent her son to his demise.
"I had tried so hard to make us a happy life... To erase the torments my husband had done to him. He deserved better... And no matter what I am getting him back. My life doesn't matter, the worlds don't matter, the power struggle YuFoSa and that brat are having doesn't matter, nothing matters to me. Not when I can save my son here and now. I will take any chance I can to save him, even if it means murder." the widow would say with a cooling voice, grabbing Clarita's shoulder and going to push her behind her. She'd step towards the girl, watery eyes looking at her form. She was nothing more than a ghost, a nobody. This girl's family didn't matter to her, this girl's life meant nothing to her. She wouldn't even know what happened to her if she really stopped existing.
"I'll tell you what I mean, miss. My son, he was ki-" she was cut off by a shrill scream from Clarita, the doll maker lunging towards Raina's arm and violently jerking her back. Raina was stunned, no thought went through her mind as her soul bound summoned itself and violently pushed Clarita back. It wasn't a straight on attack, it was more like the doll used the blunt end of its weapon to push Clarita back.
And it did just that, the doll maker would gasp as she fell to her side. She'd flinch involuntarily as her fragile arm cracked underneath her from the fall. She'd try and prop herself up but the arm underneath bent at an unnatural angle not even she could recover from either. She'd cry out in shock, eye wide as she stared at her arm. She was fine, yes fine. She had been much more brutally battered before but something about this time felt... Emotional. The fact Raina had done this to her made it feel... Different.
"C-Clarita! No, I-I'm sorry! I-I didn't mean to!" the widow would cry out as she rushed towards her friend, the journal falling from her arms as she'd fall to her knees next to her friend. She didn't know what to do, her hands hovered over her friend in a failed attempt to try and do something. She'd breath heavily, thoughts of her friend dying flooding her mind. She couldn't loose someone else, not now. She had come to far for someone else to die!
"I-I didn't mean too! I just, I just..." she'd sob out, covering her eyes as she sank back onto the ground. She was so tired and her head pounded with a fierce headache. She didn't know what to do and she was scared that she'd fail. It was one emotional trial after the other and it was wearing her down. All she wanted was her son back... She just wanted to hold him close and never let him go again...
"D-Darling... Raina... I-I'm fine you just... Broke my arms was all. Please, don't cry." the doll maker would say with a grunt as she used her not broken arm to prop herself on. She didn't really know what to think about right now, after all, she may have finally knocked some sense into her friend... At the cost of her own arm though...
"Please though... I know you miss him... I know you'd do anything for him... But that doesn't mean you can simply do as you please with others like this. Just... Do the right thing... Do it knowing that you know you won't look at your son again and think about the blackness it took to bring him back." she'd say with a small smile, Raina going to take the doll maker into her arms in a hug. She didn't know what to think... She was so tired and weak that she didn't want to think about right or wrong... But...
"I don't want to care... But you make me care... I don't even know why, but I don't want you to hate me, Clarita... I... I just don't know... I'm sorry for saying what I did... I just... Didn't want to disappoint you more..." she'd say quietly before standing up and helping her friend do the same. The doll maker would nod her head gently and smile, doing her best to return her arm to a normal looking position. It still looked wrong but... What else could you do? Hopefully the others didn't care much...
"A-Alright... We... Move forward..." she'd say, looking back at the group. She honestly didn't know what they'd think of her at this point. Nothing had been held back... Not a single thing. She'd turn away, looking down the path and at the girl. Was she even okay after that whole ordeal? Who knew... She wouldn't be surprised if everyone wanted to leave her alone now. But... She'd make it regardless. She had too... Just not at the expense of others... Not now, anyways. | |

| Both Milan and Eva felt as though they had stepped in on a conversation they had no right to enter, so they merely remained silent through the ordeal. Angela frowned and shook her head, not sure herself what to make of it, but expressing a kind of sympathy to her. The girl of course seemed to be in a state of both confusion and anxiousness, like she wanted to grasp the details but she couldn't, no matter how much she tried. She even yelped when the doll suddenly leaped towards Raina. But in the end, it was all resolved, and while nothing was said in the end, the girl seemed to smile and hopped in place. "Alrighty then. Let's get going!" She would then wave the group to her and run on ahead. Were the group to follow, they will return to the astral world where they were before, only now there was only one path, and the center of the Universe had never looked brighter than it did now. Once more, they could all see two feminine figures walking ahead, though at the moment they were too far to call out to. But they were in a free shot to the Core. It appeared as though were they to walk ahead, they would be moving straight on to it. Milan turned to Raina and gave her a pleasant smile.
"I cannot thank you enough for your trouble. But perhaps this is not wise for you to move on. I hardly think you will turn back, but I will offer to return you back to your safety. I have several items I can hand to you as well." Angela looked to Raina behind his back and shook her head with a sort of mischievous smile. She was sure she'd stay, but it never hurt to give her a little nudge. | |

| The widow and doll maker would follow the girl silently. What words could they honestly provide to lighten the mood they had created. Honestly, there was very little the two wished to say further. Clarita would hold her broken arm closely to her body. She honestly didn't know how long she could go further with such an injury. Other of her kind were stronger of course, but she was not. Her body wasn't made for conflict anymore, and without a persona she had no way to protect herself in battles. It wasn't the best thing, honestly... Their travels were finally taking a tole on her.
Raina would watch as the forest transitioned back into the starry galaxy that they had traveled beforehand. It quieted her mind to see the vastness of space that this place was. They were at the center of it all, and in front of them was the true core. She'd smile gently as she looked at it. Maybe it was a trick of the core to delve into her temptations like that... She couldn't tell... But in front of her was her son for sure, she knew it. He had to be there, he just had to.
The group would eventually stop as Milan said his peace. Raina would simply smile and shake her head at Milan. She wouldn't take the offer, there was no way she could. She'd walk towards Angela and stand by her side, looking over to the weak Clarita who smiled faintly back.
"I am sorry to say, but I am in no condition to go on further, my dear Raina... If I don't see to fixing my arm soon then I'm afraid I'll be more of a burden than an ally." the doll maker would say with a small smile, looking at Raina with a twinkle in her eye. She had done her part on this journey, she knew she had. If not for her, Raina would have committed a terrible act... And keeping her on the right path was a role she was more than thrilled to have done.
"You need not give me those items, Milan. I'd much rather you give them to Raina or send them to Jack if you could... Knowing him he's up to his neck in heroics... But I ask that you send me back home. It is time for me to end my journey here." she'd say with a small bow as she stepped in front of Milan. She'd look over to Raina, nodding her head to her prodigy. They had seen much and done much... But now it was time for them to depart ways. The both of them knew it... And while they wanted to stay together, Raina had done something to cut their time short and that was that.
"Raina dearest, never give up on finding your son. But remember to do the right thing in doing so... Tell him I said hello when you find him. Jack and I will be awaiting your return with open arms, my dear." she'd say with one final smile. She wanted to stay, to protect her in some way. But she'd do more being alive than dead... And that was just the simple truth.
"I'll be back soon, Clarita. Thank you." she'd say with a small nod before seeing her friend off. She'd turn to Angelica and the strange girl afterwards, a determined look on her face. She was ready to get to her son now. More than she had ever been before.
"Where are we headed now, Angelica? To the center?" she'd ask as she looked towards the brightening core. She didn't know what to expect there, other than her son of course. But that YuFoSa guy had been... Doing something to it? She honestly couldn't remember and she had written down none of his words. She'd carry on with caution though, that was that. | |

"Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey~" Eva suddenly shouted to the two up ahead, who both stopped and turned to see the groups. And sure enough, they would turn back and become closer into view. It was them as they said.
Still, the more they approached one another, the louder commotion outside would sound. It would be impossible at this point to not notice the fight between YuFoSa and Zant that was raging on. It would continue to go on for what seemed like an eternity. Eva seemed to ignore it, but Milan however frowned. "If you need to know anything else, now would be the time to ask. We may end up getting involved in whatever is going on by accident if we go further. Do you have anything to ask?" They could also attempt to walk to the other two and talk, but if not, continue forward. The remaining ghost-like girl simply looked around in great bewilderment as her body flickered even brighter than before. Milan nodded to Clarita, and grabbed his hilt before swiping a rift in the air near the group, revealing a hole back to Azores. Clarita could go there as she pleased, but it would close behind her, so she would not be able to return once she did. | |

| The widow would watch as her mentor stepped through the portal, disappearing as if she were consumed by an invisible force. It was probably for the best she didn't stay as she didn't know the extent to Angela's power. After all, if she used too much of it and they got to her son... She couldn't handle the thought. The widow would turn to the two she had saved, shaking her head gently.
"There is nothing I wish to ask you two. That battle is most likely connected to the one I left, and what I know from the fight is mindless and fruitless. To think children would be in charge of such affairs is... Amusing, I suppose..." she'd say with a small shake of her head. Fate was strange... But then so was what she was doing. She didn't really care about the fight, about the other worlds, about anything. She was here for one purpose and that was to bring her son back.
"I wish you two luck, Milan and Eva. It seems we part ways here... I am glad you are both safe and that I could help you two... Even if it was for an ulterior motive at first..." true, she had been suspicious of them this entire time... But her actions weren't completely pure of heart. Saving Milan had been risky, but the benefits had been... Somewhat helpful. Sure, her actions were in the heat of the moment and she hadn't fully thought about the potential gain she would've gotten from the two... But she'd rather look like a villain than an ally the entire time. It made breaking ties easier that way.
"Anyways... Are you okay, miss? You seem worst now that you're here..." the widow would ask the ghostly girl with a small frown. Maybe this girl was destined to vanish into nothingness... If so, then saving her was honestly pointless. But that didn't matter... Not now anyways. "Will you still accompany us though, miss? If not, I understand... I'm not sure how strong you are to resist the Core's influence." she'd say with a small frown. She wouldn't be against having the ghostly girl join them... But she seemed unstable, to put it lightly.
"Anyways... I'm ready, Angela. Let's go now." she'd speak her final words on the matter. It was time to go, to finish this impossible dream. | |

| Milan raised an eyebrow at Raina. "Fear not. We will be accompanying you either way when we make our way inside. Our strength is your own." When the Ghost was addressed by Raina, her head tilted to the side as she let out a great yawn. "I'm.....hoooo I'm fine. I feel tired though, like I need to sleep." She said, her eyes fluttering from a state of drowsiness. Angela herself looked to Raina. "Of course. I got your back." Raina could walk into the direction of the Core, but as she did, she would feel a strange gravitational pull. Once she went in, there was very little chance she was returning anytime soon. From a distance the Core seemed as perfect as usual despite its apparent "injury". Perhaps it was something on the inside. There was only one way to find out, and that would be to take her final steps towards her destination. The force would seem to get stronger as she got closer, though she could choose to stop at any time. Raina could tell that eventually she would get closer to the point where she would be pulled in like an object flying through a breeze.
Soon should Raina continue, it would happen just like that. Her feet would fly from under her and she would be pulled towards the massive monstrosity; the mere pressure from this humongous body clouding her eyesight. Milan and Eva of course ran ahead, and the Ghost wasn't visible, but someone reached out to her.
