When the last Demon fell, Milan sighed heavily and sheathed his blade as though it was merely a trifle to him. "I cannot thank you enough for your help, I probably would not have lasted much longer had you not been here. My name is Milan. But do tell me, what has brought you so close to the center of a universe?" He bowed heavily toward her and swiftly brought himself back up.

The widow would sigh deeply as she regained her composure. That horde of demons was honestly just a trifle that took too long. Its effects and abilities didn't seem to hold a reason behind them, and in the end they really just wasted their time. She glanced at Angela with a concerned expression... She was her guide here and she had participated in the battle quite a bit... Would she be okay until they found her son?

"It was no problem... I simply didn't wish for someone to die alone." she'd say with a nod of her head. Honestly, she knew she was being a hypocrite... But in the end, it was easier to say no to a world that had ruined her than to say no to someone who she had witnessed reach the verge of death. She decided that this was the right course, and if the Core was going to test her... If Death was going to test her... She would have to confront all confrontations with her own heart...

"I am here with my allies to find my son..." she'd say simply, Clarita joining the group quietly. They were all together now... And it was time to see what would happen.

"Your son? I have yet to see someone else around here recently that wasn't someone I already knew. This place is in between universes, are you sure he's here?" he asked, before Angela nodded. "He's near the Core. We have to get there." Milan raised an eyebrow. "Funny you say that, that was my original goal until it started to fall apart. Demons attacking and the like. Perhaps we should make the journey together, or I can stay here on guard for anyone that may pursue you."

She'd stay silent, crossing her arms gently as she listened to the man. So he had been here for a while and he had been working with others? He was probably under the party YuFoSa had... But she really didn't care. If he was, then he honestly didn't have the right to tell her what to do... Wishing to destroy countless worlds... It didn't matter though, she had saved his life, and it was his turn to return the favor.

"I'd ask you join us, Milan. We could use your aid very much." she'd say with a small smile, allowing the man to come with them for the time being. She'd have to be cautious though... Something about him told her he wouldn't just stand by as she took her son back from nothingness. Maybe she was just being overly cautious... But that didn't matter right now. There may be more like him here though...

"Shall we go now, though? Angela, are you alright to move further?" she'd ask the angel, Clarita going to aid her if need be. The widow would then lead the small group forward, taking note they were in a different area than before. Space didn't seem to exist here... So this could mean many things... But right now, she only wanted to move forward. She noticed the path splitting into three again. Did she even pick correctly last time? It was impossible to tell... But she'd move forward regardless.

She'd stop at the intersection, looking at the three paths ahead of them. She honestly didn't know how to choose... Before though, a vision was shown before they had gotten to where Milan was fighting. Could they rely on that to happen here too? Or maybe Milan had an idea? She'd turn to him with a pensive look on her face. She simply didn't wish to throw this up to luck...

"Do you happen to know which path we should choose? Or are you as clueless as the rest of us?" she'd ask, holding the journal carefully in her arms as she turned back at the three paths. She wouldn't give up... No. Not even if it took them an eternity to get to the core! Not even, if it took her an eternity to get to the core. This was her journey alone... Even if she had allies helping her now. Well, no matter. She'd simply wait for the moment... They could use a brake after that battle as well.

Milan nodded naturally and would join them. Angela gave Raina a more confident smile before as they continued. When they reached the fork they would see yet another set of three rifts. One held a forest where a young woman was sitting and meditating.

The middle fork held a woman who was currently fighting a single larger enemy, though it looked as though she was handling herself fairly well.

And the fork to the right had a red-haired adult walking through an icy pathway, looking at scribes on a wall and rubbing their chin.

When Milan was addressed by Raina, he placed a hand under his jaw. "They are all people I know, my allies. The path to the Core is unpredictable, but I cannot say for certain who is just to go. Why Claire is simply meditating there is curious...but she is that type of person I suppose. I will trust your judgement." He merely awaited Raina and would follow her in good faith.

The widow would stay silent as she stared at the three vision that laid in front of the three of them. She stood still as she saw the three people within each path. Was this like last time? Were there three other allies Milan had in that last fork? Was it dumb luck they had stumbled upon him? And if so, did they leave behind others who could have benefited from their aid? There were many questions the widow wished to ponder a little bit more... This place was confusing, unpredictable, impossible... But she had to continuously move forward without loosing her determination in the matter.

"Your allies all seem very interesting, Milan... I wonder why we are being brought into their paths though... Any ideas?" she'd ask the mercenary with a glance towards him. She was still cautious of him... But more of his allies joining her didn't seem the best option... But she wouldn't say no to more help if that was what would come from this.

Obviously she took an interest in Claire... Her name being said and all. That meant Milan took notice of her actions over the others, especially the woman who was currently fighting a rather terrifying beast. She'd stay silent, taking a small step closer to the intersection that laid in front of the four of them. A silent huff would escape her lips as she eyed the choices in front of her...

"I don't think we would be much aid to your ally in the middle, Milan... Though, if you are worried about her I would ask you go and help her and not worry about us..." she'd say with a nod of her head, effectively crossing that choice out. If she was like Milan, she'd probably insist on helping them... And that monster she was fighting with such ease was nothing to scoff at. Looking towards the left and right of her, she'd hum in thought. Something told her to stay way from this Claire girl... If she was acting strangely, then it meant to be wise and avoid her. If they were all apart of YuFoSa's team, then she possibly knew of the true reason why she was here... If YuFoSa had even acknowledged her existence, that is.

"Well, I say we go towards your red haired ally... The runes he seems to be studying may be of some help to us." she'd say simply, honestly finding him the least threatening choice out of the three. She wasn't eager to fight another monster in case something would prevent her from saving her son, and Claire seemed like a bad choice... While this red haired man seemed approachable enough, who really knew? Any one of them could know why she was here... But she wouldn't let that phase her. Even if she had to fight these people she would.

And so, with an air of caution, the widow would begin walking forward towards the red haired person. Clarita, though, stayed silent as she stayed at the back of the group. She honestly didn't see a use in putting herself in harm's way. The battle with those demons was tedious at best... And she knew her intervention would only hamper Raina's and her ally's fighting advantages. She'd look towards the two people they were leaving behind though, a small frown across her face. She was worried about the woman fighting the large monster... But if Milan didn't even show concern then she must be fine... And this Claire girl didn't seem like she was in any danger... So she supposed it was fine to leave them for the time being... She hoped, at least...

"It is up to you. I will join you for the time being." He said, as the two walked through into the rift. It would form a strange icy cave around him as the adult looked in their direction after a few moments, just realizing they were there.

"Oh? Milan, you are well!" they said, running to Milan and placing their arms over his shoulders, to which Milan did not respond. They then turned to the others and then back to Milan confused. "They mean no harm Eva. Feel free to introduce yourselves, or ask questions. I have a few, but I will wait for yours," he said to Raina.

The widow and doll maker would stay silent as the rift enveloped them. Raina would shiver gently at the sudden blast of coldness that enveloped them all. She wasn't typically used to the snow, what with living in Azores for so many years. She'd eye the surrounding area though, sighing gently. These didn't seem like symbols she was familiar with... Were they letters? Depictions of something? Would they even help them in the first place?

With a brush of the distracting questions away, the widow would look at Eva with a small smile, bowing gently in greeting towards him... Her? He looked like a he but that name spoke otherwise. Was he one of those types of people? Hm... That didn't really matter now, though.

"Hello, Eva. My name is Raina Lockwood, and these are my allies. Angela and Clarita." she'd say, gesturing towards the angel and doll maker respectively. She'd await the two to introduce themselves before continuing further. She didn't wish to seem rude in case this Eva person cared much.

"Pleasure to meet you." the doll maker would say with a small bow from her body. The cold was bothering her slightly... Her body wasn't exactly made for the elements and the sheer cold was bothersome. She'd just have to conserve her energy in the time being was all...

"As far as questions go... I have a few, yes. Please let me know if I am going to fast for you." she'd say with a small nod of her head as she opened her son's journal, flipping to an empty page with ease. She knew this book's contents like the back of her hand...

"Firstly... Do you happen to know how we can get to the center of the Core? Time doesn't matter, as long as we can get there." she'd say simply enough before quickly turning to a previous page she had written on. The king's words... These were the only words she had heard that she didn't know about. She had painfully written down the words with the best of her ability...

"Secondly, do these words mean anything to you? Could the be related to your runes?" she'd ask her second question with a small nod of her head, clearing her throat before speaking the strange words to the best of her ability. She doubted this meant anything concerning the Core, or her son, or anything she cared about... It was honestly probably a warning about YuFoSa or something but... She wanted to be one-hundred percent positive it meant nothing to her.

"I@%P^*!9@O(%&@)(%VJSFIHOE@)*%^" she'd recite to the best of her ability. These words meant nothing to her... An impossible jumble of useless sounds. Though, she supposed it may mean something to this person... Possibly...

"It was spoken by a dying king I am afraid to say is no longer with us... I wished to save him, but couldn't with the chaos that people invoked in his chambers. If you would know what they meat, I would like to know before continuing forward." she said with a solemn nod. She knew what she was doing... Getting rid of every last regret she had received. Coming to terms with the task she was about to face... She wasn't a child in her thoughts. She very may have to give up her life force to see her son one last time... And she was prepared for that. She'd do whatever she had to to save him... But she wouldn't have a clouded mind in doing so. She had condemned her husband, condemned the other worlds, condemned Beep, and now she was condemning the old king with this question...

Eva listened and nodded. "Absolutely. I am on my way back there. The Core forms different realms to get there like this. If we can get through the business here we can reach the end. It'll be fun....or it would be if the issue wasn't a silly riddle. But that language....that's what happens when a world starts to break down. Everything starts to degenerate. That's probably what you heard because you don't belong there. It's sort of a metaphysical rule worlds have." Eva began to pace around the area, going back to some scribbles on an icy wall. Everyone there would be able to read it, but it would say very clearly:

"Scribe upon this wall in any way the answer to this question"

If I get warm enough I go away but I'm not a winter wardrobe

What could I be?

Eva sighed. "Riddles were never my thing, if we try to leave we get placed back here or we find our way back. Now I have four brains to help me out. This is wonderful!"
