| Tonight, Telos had decided to go for a walk around East Eden. Lately, the demons had been more and more active, and it worried him greatly, thus, he decided to patrol different areas. Tonight, he picked East Eden.
He had set his audio receptors up to max, so as to pick up even the slightest sound. Usually, all was quiet and well, but tonight... He heard the sound of footsteps. "Is someone there?" He said, loud enough for presumably whoever was there to hear. He knew enough to know that he had to keep his tone level, otherwise, he'd end up scaring some innocent civillian, potentially.

| To his voice, the small fox would hop from the brush along side of the road. It would pause on the road to sit and scratch its ears before noticing there was something that resembled a man nearby. Not wanting to be caught or killed, the critter ran off leaving the night to its usual calm. The wind would whisper and the bugs chirped. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary not even the sound of horse hooves that approached from the direction the person on the road wasn’t looking. If he were to turn to face the sound, he’d find a brown and white painted horse coming his way at a steady pace. On its back was a form laying down across its back and for the most part limp. There was no saddle on the horse. No briddle. Whoever was on the horse was riding it bare back and seemed to have a huge amount of trust in the horse to be lying on it like that...either that or the person was passed out. It was hard to say in the darkness. With a light snort, the horse would come to a gentle stop as she eyed the figure on the road, making sure to keep her distance from the stranger. When the horse came to a stop, the rider atop it would at first not move and then a few seconds later, the body would shift and the person on the horse would sit up a bit and look over at the one on the path. Sleepy brown eyes would look over at the figure on the road, taking note it was an older looking man. Eyes would narrow slightly at the sight. Odd why was he out here at this time of night? The woman would sit up a bit more on her horse as she became more alert. Giving the man a serious gaze, she would speak. “Who are you and what business do you have in East Eden at this time of night?” she would ask her tones calm and non-hostile. She knew anyone could come down these roads and this land was not hers, but even so she did not trust night wanders for various reasons she kept to herself as she simply watched the other with her unblinking gaze. | |

| He took stock of the horse that had stopped in front of him, and the woman that sat up from it. "Either she's EXTREMELY stupid, and the horse is luckily that smart. Or she's INCREDIBLY smart, and so is the horse." He thought. She didn't seem hostile either, so it seemed safe to assume that she wasn't an enemy. "I am Telos Techne. And I am here because I... can be." He said, remembering something about how he heard other humans saying something similar to that.
"I could ask you the same, myself. Who are you, and why are you here?" He said, asking her the same question (more or less).

| The woman upon the horse would look down at the other from her position and hear his words. To what was said, he would receive a bit of silence as the woman just watched him with that serious stare of hers. Eventually, she would blink and dismount.
"Snow," she would respond shortly after her booted feet hit the ground. She would then be silent again for a moment as she studied the other, her horse would automatically turn and trot away into the open fields. Unbothered by this, she would shift her weight to the right as she moved to follow the path her horse had taken; however, at the edge of the field she would pause and answer the man's last question.
"Hunting," Was the calm response back and then the woman was turning away and heading into the field.

| He took note of the name, and would have been content to let her leave after she answered his second question... until he heard what that answer was. "Wait. Just what exactly are you hunting here at this hour?" He asked, curious, but his tone suddenly becoming a lot more serious.
"I was not aware that Endymion gives out hunting permits... especially not so close to civilization, where you could cause a possible disturbance of the peace. Also, you appear to be lacking weaponry sufficient enough to hunt. Which means there are three main possibilities to what you are saying, two of which use some sort concealed weaponry." He said plainly. One, you are lying (though I cannot imagine why), two, you are indeed hunting some sort of game, wether or not it's legal is another manner that I will not address here. Or, three..." He said, counting off each one on his fingers.
"... as an offshoot of the second possibility, you are hunting something else entirely. Something not fought by conventional means. Which is it?" he asked her, his tone indicating he desired an answer.

| Snow would pause a few paces into the field and turn to the man that had question her when she mentioned hunting.
“I do not have a reason to lie nor do I need permission to do what is necessary to live or do business. On that note, are you a government worker here to stop little old me from doing just that -surviving? As for your statement about civilization, East Eden is a pretty open field and the prime spot to hunt for various things. I don’t think these fields are close enough civilization to cause problems and even if they were, it is not like I plan to make a big ruckus with my hunting. As for my hunting tool,” she would unsheathe the knife at her waist and show it to the other. Its blade would glisten in the moonlight as she lifted it and watched the other carefully over its flat surface.
“This is a hunting blade very common amongst hunters. What else did you expect from me outside of a crossbow, hunting rifle, or any of the other equipment used for this sort of task?” she would ask curious about this third option the other spoke of despite her voice remaining blunt and to the point. She would leave her blade up only for a few seconds before blinking and sheathing the blade once more.
When the inquiry about what she hunted came up, she would watch the other quietly before placing a hand on her hip as her weight shifted to the left.
“Why don’t follow and find out?” she would say and then not really waiting for an answer, she would turn once more and begin to walk further out into the field. Her pace was casual suggesting she wasn't trying to run and really wouldn't care if he joined her or not. Regardless of what the other did, she would begin her night hunt, but for what she would not tell.

| "No. I am not." He said, in response to her question about being a government worker. He nodded his head as she showed him the knife. She was correct, a knife would not be able to cause the disturbance he was thinking of. Now when she invited him to come hunting, though... "Hm. I shall accompany you. I will not slow you down." He said. | |
