It had been a day after they awakened to their persona, and Eden hadn't slept a wink. They spent hours gathering enough shadow essence to stockpile for themself, while also grabbing things to sell to anyone who happened to come by. Only people who had their business card could visit, as it had the directions on it. What was even stranger about visiting them was knowing you had to come up the hidden fire escape and through the broken window in the living room as the front door was no longer accessible. Though their little store had been quiet all day, maybe the demon attacks have everyone staying in for a bit until the fear subsides. Either way, they were way to excited to finally have unlocked their persona, a task they had spent decades trying to do. They spent the past night getting used to it, but it seemed something might be a tad bit corrupted about their persona as a whole. It's almost as if they forced some sort of unnatural and unstable persona out of the experiment they did. While they didn't mind this, they just knew they'd have to keep it in mind if they planned on using it. 'Unstable?' Their persona's voice rang in their head, causing them to smile. "Well yes, I have to do some more trial runs with you but it seems like I've corrupted my own ego. Kind of like a Kardashian. I may have forced the process too hard and now I'm just Kim looking for her diamond earing in Bora Bora." They laugh for a bit, sitting down on their couch to relax.

He had been having a wonderful time with the girl called Cherry; however, shortly after departing from her company and the crystal like fields, his good mood was shattered by a strange call. A call that caused his head to spin and something heavy to place itself within him. It put him in quite the daze as he drifted from the Field of Glass and through the spore fielded Cradle before making his way to the frozen wasteland. His travels took a good while. Perhaps hours. Perhaps days. He couldn't tell. He just knew he was following the direction of the call and did not stop until he reached the spot. And that spot was...a roof top?
He would pause and blink at the white landscape, his expression going from blank to confused and tired as he tried to bring himself from the haze he was in and focus. It was not an easy task nor a fun one considering that now that he was here the voice was gone, leaving him quite irritated. Nothing irked him more than going somewhere with a plan in hand only to get there and complete forget why you had come to begin with. How could this be happening to him? He wasn't even that old! Goddess help him.
Anyway. Wind. Frozen water particles. Mmm. Yes. Inside. Yes, this was the logical approach even if the cold wasn't bothering him now. Sighing a bit at the situation, he would turn to find a way down only to hear the ground beneath him groan in protest and then just like that give away. Ah yes. This was a thing wasn't it? Things breaking randomly simply because they did not like the fact they had to be used as support.
The sarcastic thought would cross his mind as he fell downward with the rubble that had collapsed. As he fell he took note that one of the straps on his box had snapped due to whatever snagging it on his way down and in turn he had to let it slip off his shoulder in order for the heavy box to not dislocate his arm thanks to the sudden loss of balance across his shoulders.
The box would land first with a loud bang before bouncing a bit and then settling on its side, the drawers compartments still sealed by some mysterious force. The next to land was the man himself, his landing softer as he ended in a cat like position before he instinctively lowered himself more and balled up to protect himself from all the stuff falling from above. After being whapped in the back by a chunk of something to ensure he got the message that the world truly hated his existence in the moment, things would quiet down and settle. Thinking it was safe, he would unball slowly before shifting to attempt to get up, but oh no. This place was not done with him yet.
Just as he had pushed himself up a bit, he felt the ground buckle and groan again. He only had time to mutter a partial curse in his native tongue before he was falling again, but this time his falling brought him crashing down into a home and landing on something both soft and not soft at the same time. What new fresh hell was this? Did he land on the corpses again? Or was this a shadow nest? Or did he perhaps land himself into even greater trouble with the more vicious and unforgiving demons?
Instead of moving from whatever ended up being the cushion of this being of cloth, he would stay still as he let his mind catch up with it all. Okay. He was definitely in a home that was intact. Well mostly intact was more accurate. There was the hole in the ceiling now and also a shattered window that was letting in the fridgid air of outside in. It seemed quiet enough, but...he was on something was he not?
He was still a bit dazed as he turned his head to focus on whatever he had landed on only to find himself freezing as he found himself looking at something rather beautiful. He was a bit stunned finding this beautiful thing in the home and for a moment just stared, intrigued as his mind tried to wrap his head around what was happening. Was this something frozen in place then or....?
"Um...Hello?" he would ask rather than say unsure if what he on was alive or not, his brain still not quite all to caught up to reality and the situation he was in.

Eden took a moment to close their eyes, allowing themself to drift off into a slumber. It seemed like they had gotten too excited and finally were succumbing to slumber. Their mind wandered into different, short-bursts of dreams. The first being that of the Velvet Room, being able to recognize that smell anywhere; it wasn't a smell humans could notice, it was the smell of nothing and something at the same time. They turned to their side, taking note of another attendant who was assisting a guest, though they couldn't make out their sibling's face. The dream slowly faded into another about their adventures with a former guest, one who they had especially been close to.
'I sense something.'
They awoke with a start when they heard a loud crashing from the apartment above them. Some of the dust from their ceiling fell slowly as if something had just moved up there. While this was strange, they did hear shadows rummaging through the other apartments on occasion. Though they had never had one make it's way into theirs, for some reason their home had never been invaded. They heard the shifting of the floor above as it started to creak in a not structurally sound way; definitely not a shadow. The ceiling gave way and a figure fell down into their lap, causing the snow in the room to flurry about.
Taking a closer look, they noticed this was a person, an almost human like person from first glance. His skin was pale like the snow, and his body, small and lean. He seemed beautiful and fragile as a if he was a real life snowflake. Eden felt almost hesitant to move, feeling as if they could break this person at any moment. He spoke, and his voice was very soft but had a childlike wonder to it; his teeth were pointed like that of a vampire from an old movie. "Well hello there. What kind of good deeds did I do to have a real life angel fall from the sky and into my lap?" They smiled, standing up from their couch with Snow in their arms, placing him on the ground and giving him a bit of a twirl around before pulling him back into their arms and dipping them slightly. "To what do I owe the pleasure?" They would let go after receiving an answer, only wanting to flirt with a bit of flourish to impress him.

He stared at the strange beauty and they stared right back until the frozen moment and silence was broken by his own uncertain hello. A hello that got a rather peculiar response. Snow had been called many things in his life, but an angel was not one of those things. That alone was enough to throw him off guard as he opened his mouth letting out questioning "Huh?" as he stared into the pretty green eyes of this one. He really could not help it..or really get pass huh either considering what followed next happened so fast his brain just did not know what to do. He saw the smile before he was actually being picked up. The action causing him to tense as he was uncertain why this was occuring. Then he was on his feet, the other moving him about in a fashion that could've very well caused him to trip up, but somehow his body instinctively knew what to do.
His feet moving along with the twirl and motions as if he had been well trained in this art, but when that had happened, he hadn't a clue. As far as he knew he did not have such training and yet...here he was going with the flow rather naturally for one reason or another. He was pulled back to the other, easily leaning back as he was dipped and for a moment just stunned into a second of silence as he looked at the other with innocent wide eyes blinking a bit, before the look vanished as his head turned to the side slightly causing long locks to shift like a veil over his face as his eyes narrowed and a playful smirk appeared on his face.
"I suppose fate wanted me to have the most perfect dance partner this world could offer. Can't say, I am mad about the choice," he'd tease back easily, though inwardly he wondered how this too was a thing. All of this felt so natural and yet why?
In any case, after he was released and the other moved away, he straightened his robes a bit as he looked around at the snow covered area and then up at the hole in the ceiling, his play dying down to seriousness as he gave a frown at the damage done.
"While the world is blessing you with good things, it certainly decided to curse me with rebellious structures. I would fix that for you, ah...?" He looked back at the tall being with him and tilting his head a bit. "What is your name?" he would ask in soft tones.

They let the man speak before interjecting again, not wanting to interrupt him. They couldn't help but watch him as he spoke, it felt like they were in the presence of an actual angel. The fair skin was enough to think that, but his beauty was far beyond anything they had seen in awhile. Once he finished speaking, they'd bow towards him. "Thank you. I will admit it has been some time since I have had partner quite as radiant as you." They began to stand upright again, attempting to maintain eye contact with the boy who fell from the sky. Wearing a slight smirk, they continued. "Don't mind the ceiling. I wanted a skylight anyways." They laughed a bit, closing their eyes as they did. They already planned on patching it up, especially since having multiple entrances meant more places for a shadow or demon to come through. Eden didn't want the young man to worry about it, as that would take his attention away from them and they definitely didn't want that.
The man's line of questioning did make them tilt their head though. "You mean, you don't know who I am?" They smiled, a bit. "That makes this even more of a meeting of fate." Most people came to visit them for supplies, being as that was their job. It was strange to have a guest who had almost stumbled upon them, especially since the path to get to their apartment was deliberately complicated to make it much harder for demons and shadows to stumble upon them. Taking the man's hand in their own, they would lean down to kiss his knuckle. "My name is Eden Delacroix. I run a shop of sorts here; that was what I had assumed you were here for." They smirked a bit. "But I guess the universe had other things in mind." Taking a slight beat, they would run their thumb over his knuckle. "What are they naming angels now-a-days?" It may have sounded awkward to anyone else, but Eden was fully confident in how they spoke, especially when they flirted with someone.

He let the other watch him as he watched the other back with curiosity. It was certainly strange have someone not only pick him up and dance with, but also stay close to him this long. Most tensed and prepared to fight or run, but not this strange beauty. He had to admit, he was quite fascinated by this being for the moment. He would get a bow before the other was thanking him for his words. Being able to stand back up properly, he would push some of his long hair behind his ear as he gave a small bow back. "Your words are too kind," he would say, his tones soft and laid back. He didn't seem to mind the behavior or play this one was dishing out.
As for the ceiling, he'd would find himself giving a light smile back at the laugh and what he heard. Though the smile would drift into a bit of confusion at the word used. "Skylight?" He'd tilt his head there as his eyes drifted back to the hole. Well a hole certainly did show the sky and it gave access to light among other things, but why would one want a hole in their ceiling or be happy it was there? Weren't most trying to keep their things in one piece and more or less secure from both the elements and whatever else was out there these days? It certainly didn't make sense to him, but he wouldn't focus on that too long as he looked back at the other as they spoke.
He'd shake his head to the question before giving a small snort of amusement. "Perhaps it is indeed fate." It was indeed something alright. Between the ground beneath him giving out and him happening to land not only on a living being, but a rather entertaining one and apparently a shop owner too? Yeah something was indeed at play. Though this one certainly didn't give one time to wonder very much did they?
He watch the other take his hand and place a kiss on his knuckle, the action causing him to raise his eyebrows at the action. Why did he like this as if he was used to such treatment? Though no one had ever treated him this way before. And his own reaction...
He'd give an amused 'hmph' as he gave the other a smirk. "Well aren't you doing your best to sweep me off my feet? How charming you are, Eden," he would say, the words and play easily slipping out of his mouth though inwardly he felt as if someone else was in control. Why was that? Anyway, he'd watch the other as they moved their thumb over his knuckle, yet he did not pull away. "It is a pleasure to meet you. My name is Snow Li Fang," he would begin and then tilting his head a bit he would continue. "You said you are a shop owner of sorts? What is it you sell?" he would ask curious at finding another merchant in this world. Though his wears were upstairs for now, so there that. Oh well. Not like he needed to be worried about that now with something more fascinating before him.
