| Once Shunnosuke left Standasen to its own luck, as well as Joshua, Azami and the other mysterious android whose name he was unaware of, he left a dread feeling dragging him down. For a bunch of reasons, one of them the realization he made a pact with a Devil...for the second time. This alone couldn't really be a problem, as he chose it. However, past the fierce and impetuous attitude under the pretentious disguise of a calculated move from moments before, the Kurosawa realized what it truly meant: he took a side. Of course he could thwart Zachary's plans once more as he did two years before, something the gang leader has not forgotten at all...but then, the man's words rang his mind's doorbell to remind him that, this time, Zachary wouldn't be as forgiving. The mountain-sized demon appearance in his homeland proved to him just that: his family is in danger. For real, this time. Betraying Zachary for a second time could also mean potentially dangerous consequences for him the young man might not be able to cope with. Regardless, he still had some enigmatic questions only Zachary could answer him. What were his plans for Jandice two years before? What are his plans for YumiAmi now that they managed to defeat her? How could he resurrect a Primordial God like Ananke into the girl he named Analee? What does he accomplish by aligning with the Zodiacs and keeping two under his wing? And last, but not least... What did he tell Lune and Rinna to have any of them involved by his side? He honestly had it enough with both girls in the past, but Lewis seemed truly concerned about Lune. Guilty, maybe? He couldn't tell... A brief glance to the man's face didn't give him an answer to this question either, but it didn't matter. If the youngest of the Rhodes was worried about Lune, it was just one more reason to keep an eye out for Zachary. After all, "keep your friends close and your enemies closer". As he wandered into the tunnel's darkness, he could not help but to think he'd have to pay a visit to eerie Standasen again. Probably the next day, when his feet were actually not aching as much as they're now. My, this extensive walking around sure would leave some longlasting bone pain and blisters all over his skin, and the worst part is that he wasn't even in the mood to complain. At this pace, he'd only reach Penecia by the next morning...or the morning after...or later... Gosh, his father was right, he should definitely exercise more! * | |
