That starry-eyed, distant look stayed on his face while Cole described how great the city was. He had always tried to picture it for himself, and never thought he'd actually meet someone from there. Especially this far away. But that look dropped slowly as he described just why he left. He wasn't expecting an answer so... deep, or vague. He figured it was something like his parents needed to move for work, or maybe he had visited before and really wanted to stay. But something like that... just left questions that he didn't have the courage to ask. He was silent for a moment, at a loss for words. Until he finally forced out. "A.... p-professional fighter?"

"I strive to be the world heavyweight champion for boxing." He spoke; chocolate tinted hues still locked upon the crystal blue sky. "I'm pretty damn good at what I do, some even go as much to say I'm the best in Ueitawa. Are those claims true?" He shrugged his massive shoulders, "I dunno, but I have been going undefeated over the past three years." Cole typical liked to keep his personal life far far far away from his school life. Yet here he was telling some 1^st year his ambitions and dreams. He chuckled to himself a little before taking his eyes off the sky and placing them back upon the red-head. "What about you? You seem to be some kind of bookworm. What are your life goals?"

"W-wow... hehe well you sure... umm... look the part." he offered with a slight smile, hoping the compliment would dispel any thoughts about his assumptions earlier. To be honest, despite their friendly conversation, Cole still intimidated him. "I'm sure you're great." When the questions fell on him, he paused for a few moments, as if scared to answer. He heaved a breath and nodded. "Well yeah, I'm kind of a bookworm. But that's because what I really want to do is write stories. I'd love to be an author... but I suppose the word "storyteller" might be more true to what I want to do... Crafting whole worlds, full of living breathing people with thoughts and feelings all held together between the delicate pages of a book, exploring the minds of my readers with each twist and turn of their fates and-" he paused, turning a bright shade of red. "Sorry.... Didn't mean to ramble on you...."

The soft spoken red-head told Cole about his dreams and ambitions; dreams and ambitions he himself respected. However, at the end of such words, the 'awkward' male made amends for this so called 'rambling'. The self-proclaimed Pugilist merely glared down at the flustered male and spoke. "Are you seriously going to sit here and apologize for expressing your dreams and ambitions? Dude, you must not express them enough or somethin'." Cole lazily adjusted both hands behind his head and exhaled a soft sigh. "You're supposed to have pride for whatever it is you wanna do; no matter how stupid or pointless it seems to others. And you sayin' sorry after some interesting stuff makes me wonder if you really wanna be this so called 'storyteller'." He wasn't trying to preach to this male; hell, he didn't even know this kid. But nothing gets under Coles skin then a person who doesn't respect the concept of the word 'ambition'.

Braun winced, his words hurt more than probably his hardest punch. "I... I guess you..." He sighed, hanging his head slightly. "You're right. I mean... I know this is what I really want it's just... I don't know. Maybe I worry about it too much. Like maybe nobody will like my stories, and all I will end up having is a bunch of worthless stacks of paper and words that only I care about." He forced another smile. "I mean, in your case, if you punch a guy, he either goes down or he doesn't." he sighed. "My dad always tried to get me to focus on something more stable. 'Just because it's written in black and white doesn't mean that it really is that way'" The redhead took on a slightly mocking tone to mimic his father.

" 'You punch a guy, he either goes down or he doesn't.' Yup, that's the fundamental rule in the way of the pugilist. But I have mad respect for the man who can stand up after taking one punch. Not because he is strong, because he has the will to fight; the will to continue forward and see his ambition to the very end. Boxing teaches you how to never give up, how to use your head, and how to roll with the punches... Physically and metaphorically." Cole paused in between his words and understood what Jeremy was going through. What if it was all for nothing? What if he was just wasting his time for some childish dream that'll never see the light of day? The Brawler busted out into laughter and clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth a few times. "Those papers won't go to waste, I promise. If you just try your hardest and put your heart into everything you do, it can't possibly be that bad. Shit, if pushes comes to shove i'll read every last damn story you make... And I hate reading!" He erupted into crazed laughter; his massive arms now wrapped around the gut to sooth his aching stomach. "But no, seriously. You just gotta take the risk and roll with the punches. If it's not your calling, it's not your calling. But I know for a fact you can do anything you set your mind too". He paused one more time, "Oh yeah!" He said with a great deal of enthusiasm in his voice. "Next time your old man hits you with that line. Tell him to pay attention and see the color scribbled across the sheet!"

"Roll with the punches, huh?" As much as he hated the idea of even metaphorical punches headed towards him.... Cole had a point. "Huh... You've got a real point there." A smile crept across his face. "I mean, after all, what good is writing about a single soldier facing down an army, or a hero challenging the devil himself if I'm not willing to at least try, like they are?" He grins, and even starts to laugh along with the fighter. "Actually, I kind of hope you don't. I'd hate to see your reaction to coming across a character that's a little too familiar." A slight smirk was his only elaboration.

"I don't think I'll be hearing from my Dad until I go home, but-" He was cut off by the school bell chiming, and signalling the end of their lunch break. "Huh. Over already?" he sighed. "I guess I'll see you around then, Cole?" he said with a smile, extending a fist to him. "Thanks, it was nice meeting you Senpai."

Finally! This soft-spoken underclassmen began coming out of the awkward shell of his. The self-proclaimed Pugilist couldn't help but cackle at the words spoken by this fiery headed male. "Oh, is that right?" He smiled and clicked his tongue up against the roof his mouth. Suddenly, in the middle of the boys string of words. The extremely loud Academy bells began ringing indicating the lunching period was indeed over. "Pfft, where does the time go..." The Brawler murmured to himself; pushing himself off the fence and lazily strolling forward towards the prestigious school. "Senpai? All this respect is gonna give me a rash, I swear..." The Brawler said; rubbing his neck in frustration. He parted ways with the red-head with the peace sign and vanished within the flock of rushing students attempting to get back to class before getting marked tardy.
