Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] Empty
PostSubject: Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran]   Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] EmptyWed Aug 26, 2015 1:17 pm

This was it, eh? Sharaku almost felt funny. Not so long ago, he would have said he didn't really care about what went on with the Angels. Not unless it was a matter of getting rid of a Corruption or anything akin to that. However, recent events made him change his way of thinking. Sure, they had Thesis and Ananke as the bigger threat right now...but it was not the only thing that needed the extra focus. And he wasn't the only one strong enough to hold his ground. He was sure there were those that could act if a need to face off some Primordial business arose suddenly. That, and he was fine with assisting as long as he was ultimately free at the given time.

But his primary business was with the Angels now. He wanted...to try something. The fact that Jack had influenced Angel to take on his Wish, meant that perhaps the Angels could somehow be reasoned with, if done right. Angel herself was different, yes...but it was worth a try. This was why he actually took real interest in going with Oki and trying to meet its Angel this time around. From what he had heard about her...she seemed like a good one to start with, as a test. He sure wouldn't want Israfel, who was quite power inclined. That guy might want to insist on a proof of strength and fight him for some reason. That was not what he wanted to deal with right away. Besides, Israfel was...okay. He could find that one whenever he wanted to. But he needed Oki to get here without unnecessary harm.

And the timing suited him. He did need to also visit Angel soon, to ask some things and pass on Rita's message. Finding something out here before he went there could also be a good thing.

That all in mind, he would wait around, leaning against the nearest object to a rift he was standing by, waiting for Oki to show up first. He wouldn't poke in alone afterall. All he knew of the other San Malarus so far, were the stories from both Oki and Naomi.

Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran]   Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] EmptyWed Aug 26, 2015 6:28 pm

It had been agreed upon somewhere along the line that Oki would bring Sharaku to Helen. The being knew that there were risk involved considering Sharaku bared the mark of another angel upon him and even if he did try to hide said mark, Oki was quite certain Helen would be able to sense the alliance. She was after all in tune with Deva was she not? What it was doing was a big risk. The conversation to occur could change the relationship between itself and all involved vastly. For better or for worse was for Fate to decide.

So it was with nervous, yet determined energy that Oki followed the paths of the streets to the location indicated as the meeting spot for itself and Sharaku. As the being hopped down from the thin piece of concrete it had been walking on, it would easily walk into Sharaku’s space as it moved passed him and to the portal. It would pause before the rift and look back at Sharaku with a smirk.

“Sharaku is sure about this? You can turn back right now if you want,” the being said its voice rather friendly and open despite the seriousness behind such an inquiry. Regardless of the outcome of the answer, when Sharaku was done talking and ready to go in, Oki would step into the rift feeling the cold wind that came with realm shifts. Within seconds itself and Sharaku would be on the other side of Maralus. The sky above was as moody as ever and the atmosphere of the area tense. There were few people out and the ones that would scatter quickly out of view or peek cautiously out of windows at Oki, but mainly at the strange guest with it. This quiet yet dangerous air was the greeting the strange technology like city would give anyone entering it. Quite use to such a feeling, Oki’s green eyes would scan the area mainly for trouble makers. When it saw none, the being would relax slightly.

“Come, come,” it would say gesturing in its own way for Shaku to follow as the being shifted its weight forward and began to walk. Oki would lead Sharaku thorough the quiet streets and up to the Glowing Leech, where Helen resided. Moving inside, Oki would take a casual pace through the club until it found it safe to slip down the secret passageway that led to the hall and in turn Helen. When it had slipped into the hall, it would pause to wait for Sharaku before leading the way forward once more until they final came to an office like room.

For the moment, the office only contained themselves, but Oki knew Helen would not leave them hanging. It was simply not her way.

They would find in the office that Helen was not there. The office was rather quiet and devoid of anyone, however on the table were several papers, and some sort of half orb on the table that was lit up, projecting some of the data regarding the news of the murders going around the city. Footsteps were coming down the other end of the hallway, but they were not here just yet.

Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran]   Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] EmptyThu Aug 27, 2015 6:10 pm

Sharaku would snap out of his mental debates once Oki walked by. He would smirk thinly. Was he sure? Can one ever be really sure about whether something is truly a good idea or not? Not unless you are way too arrogant. But sure or not, that didn't mean he was going to back out. Things need to be done one way or another. You'll never know the possibilities without taking the fall here and there. It was high time that he did something himself anyway. Up till now, it was mostly him running at the beck and call of others. Either his former team wanting to go defeat someone and so on, or him going somewhere because Rita wanted him to. Technically, he couldn't really go blaming others for useless strategies if he only ever went along, could he? Besides, he had no idea what the others were actually up to at this point.

''I'm sure if you are. The call has always been yours, as to whether you trust me to go meet with your Angel.''
Amongst other things. For all Oki knew, he could be planning to take down the Angel or something like that. Of course, he was not, but it was always something that could be considered when looking at his request to meet her. Afterall, he was sort of under another Angel, so it would make sense for him to be against the rest. Except for the fact that he did not follow that ideology. It was worthless in his opinion. They didn't need to be enemies. Quite the opposite. That is, if whoever he was about to meet would listen to him.

That notwithstanding, he would follow after Oki at whatever pace the other chose, merely looking around, inspecting the place as they went. ''I'm coming, yes.'' It was ...interesting to say the least. Sure, he has heard a few things about what was it like, but that is never comparable to a first hand experience. He would walk after silently, stopping when Oki did. Hmm? What in this place? Still, he would just wait, taking a curious glance towards the strange projection. News? Well, whatever it was, didn't look too nice. His focus would shift a bit however, as he took notice of someone coming towards their direction. Well, here goes..?

Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran]   Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] EmptyFri Aug 28, 2015 6:50 pm

Oki would give Shaku a grin of amusement at his words, its green eyes narrowed into slits of mischief.

“Shaku is leveled headed enough, so we should not have an issue between you and I. Unless you make one of course, but then again Shaku is a smart fellow. He knows better than to do that,” Oki said the words playful, but meaningful at the same time. On one hand, Shaku was an unpredictable variable that walked to his own drum beat, on another he was under another angel and thus could be seen as a threat if he tried anything funny, but still... Oki knew the guy well enough to expect him to take the least hostile path and so it had agreed to bring him to Helen and in turn perhaps Deva. It was a sign of trust and respect for the man that not too many had these days. After all, it would’ve been bit more trickier for this meeting to occur had another requested the same.

In any case, when they crossed over Sharaku would follow quietly and when they arrived in the empty office, Oki’s eyes would automatically go to the desk were some very intriguing items rested. Papers, strange devices…all things that tempted the being to pry and poke in places it probably should not poke. The temptation was high causing Oki to take a small step forward as it eyed the half orb in particular. It could pick up news? Tilting its head it studied the item harder, taking note that the subject was murder in the city. Why was such data being collected?

Perplexed, Oki would study the situation for a few more moments as it took another step towards the desk and before one knew it Oki was right at the desk and leaning over to touch the orb. It had to know exactly what the thing did and what it was. Was the half orb a television? A computer? Just a data collector? What? Would it respond to its touch or had it been locked or a defense activated for this sort of situation?

Somewhere inside it knew it shouldn't do such a thing. That Helen would probably get mad and a mad Helen in a business situation might not be the best thing here. It even registered footsteps coming and knew it should back off, but Oki being the information gatherer it was could not resist attempting to explore the orb more....

Goddess help us all.

Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] 5fbb73b095bc59db793d1281412ddb97

When Oki touched the orb, the screen seemed to project other pictures of the murders, along with pictures of the bodies, though in an odd angle that all showcased in some way, a pink moon. Though, the footsteps would be louder, and a woman would appear behind the opening of the door, pulling from her side what appeared to be some kind of shotgun and pointed it straight at Sharaku's head. She noticed Oki was inside, were they with this man? If they were a threat, then he would have to go down. "Explain your purpose here now, or you die here."

Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran]   Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] EmptyFri Aug 28, 2015 9:48 pm

Well, if that was what Oki thought. Technically, it wasn't wrong. Although, it wasn't as if he could accurately say just how smart he personally was. Not the easiest thing to be objective about yourself. Regardless, what mattered was that Oki didn't seem to have a problem with this. Frankly, that was something he had been worried about the least. It was more about what or who he would have to deal with once there. He already knew Oki well enough, but he knew no one in this place.

...and he hadn't been wrong. Sadly, Oki seemed to be little help as it decided to focus on an object instead of whoever was walking over. What kind of a guide are you when you get distracted so easily?

''....''

Oh great. Now he had a trigger happy woman to deal with? Or so it appeared. Is there really a need to bring out a gun right away? She must have seen Oki around, so it should be logical enough that they came together. Oki wasn't trying to harm him either. Or did she just not trust Oki enough? You don't greet people with a gun to their face. That is rather rude. But fine. He had known it wouldn't be a smooth venture, so he would play by the rules for now. As long as she didn't cross the boundaries too far. He would look at her calmly, not extremely fazed by being aimed at. Although he would raise his hands up, showing he did not mean to attack or anything of the kind. ''I'm simply interested in talking about things. Nothing more than that unless you force me to. No need to put holes in me as a greeting.'' Doing that would be quite the overreaction. ''Speaking of that, hello.'' Time to just keep chill. He didn't meant to pick a scruffle, but he wouldn't cower before her either.

He hoped this development would at least snap Oki back to reality. This was one of the reasons he did not waltz in here alone. So he had someone to explain things if it became tricky.

Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran]   Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] EmptyMon Aug 31, 2015 10:45 am

It was true Oki was a bad guide in the fact that it easily became distracted by this or that. The orb proved no different. The shiny object was too interesting to resist and so on impulse it had gone over and started to poke the thing. Hmm…the orb was a computer of some sort…or maybe just a data tool. It seemed to be stuck on the murders showing various areas and then pictures of the bodies. The pictures would’ve seemed random, but there was one thing that resided in each picture. Whether it was just on the corner or in full view there was a pink moon. Pink…pink was Deva’s color, but surely she had nothing to do with this right? So what else did such a moon represent?

Oki would lean back slightly from the pictures in thought as it began to try and figure this new issue out. As it did this, it turned just as Helen walked into the room. It saw her, but perhaps did not register what was happening as quickly as it should’ve as its mind elsewhere; however, the being did slowly come back to reality as it saw the gun and heard the words that were exchanged. Helen was direct as usual and Shaku calm more or less. And Oki? Well, the being didn’t seemed panicked at this situation as it moved from the desk at a rather casual pace.

“Ah, Helen. It is nice to see you again,” Oki said in friendly tones before it settled next to Shaku. “There is no need to be hostile towards Sharaku. He is the friend I asked permission to bring to see you, remember?” the being shifted in its spot moving between Sharaku and the pointed gun.

“No need for weapons. He honestly wants to chat with you, k?” Oki said the words in calm tones keeping eye contact with Helen should she meet those green eyes. The being wasn’t lying, but it also wasn’t about to let Helen shoot down someone it considered an ally--no as family-- either. The look suggested the being would fight for Sharaku if necessary. A sign of deep trust and respect for the one with it. It gave not many this honor.

Helen cautiously eyed Sharaku before slowly lowering her weapon, though keeping it well within her grip. "I shall speak to you. Tell me what you wish to know. If I feel suspicious of you however, I will have you escorted out. Are you here to talk about Deva?" She was a little impressed that Oki actually brought someone after all, surprised even. She could not help but be a little curious as to what he had to say.

PostSubject: Re: Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran]   Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] EmptyMon Aug 31, 2015 8:32 pm

Alright. Seems this was enough for Oki to tune back into the matter on hand. Although, he was prepared to deal with it even if it had not been. But this was the better outcome in this situation, of course. And the woman was cooperating to a certain extent, so good as well. Helen, was it? He should remember that for later. She did seem like a sort of tough cookie to deal with. If she reacted to newcomers like this on a regular basis, that is. Then again, considering what this world was about...perhaps he should not be too surprised that people tended to be way cautious at times.

''What is it that counts as suspicious, if I may ask?''
He wasn't really trying to do that, but it's hard to tell what other people think. She could easily find something suspicious even when he did not. Best to try scouting first. ''Deva...is that the Angel of this place? If so, then yes, partially. I am interested in meeting the Angels. Other than that, it is up to you as to what you are willing to discuss. This world seems rather different from the others I've already seen afterall. For now, I'll play by your rules. I have no interest in a conflict for no reason.'' That would be the last resort. He was confident enough that he could defend himself just fine, but that did not meant he wanted it to end in that manner. For now, he would just test the boundaries. This woman seemed like the more reserved type, and he figured she would not take too well to explicit prying. That, and he was more interested in getting to meet and talk with the Angel. However, he would go through this as it was apparently the only sensible way.

Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran]   Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] EmptyTue Sep 01, 2015 2:45 pm

The good thing was Helen did lower her gun at least allowing Oki to relax inwardly. It took note that she still kept a firm hold on her gun similar to how she used to do to itself in the beginning, so no big thing there unless a fight broke out; however, a fight seemed unlikely as Helen looked over at Shaku cautiously and even allowed the chat to occur.

As Oki listened to words pass, it would step to the side and settle into a spot between the pair, but not hindering Helen or Sharaku from each other. It’s positioning caused to the trio to form a loose ring within the room where this odd chat occurred.

Shaku had his questions and defined what it was he came to talk about. To his question about Deva, Oki would simply nod to confirm that yes she was indeed the angel of this world; however, whether Sharaku saw this or not was up to debate. As it was now, the being would remain quiet, listening and watching the pair within the room to see what could be learned. As it did this it kept the pink moon within its memory banks for later questioning.

"Are you planning to join them? You talk as though you have not made up your mind yet. So I request a good answer before you meet them," she said, keeping her hand firm on the gun. Her suspicion of the young man was not removed just yet. She was not fully understanding what his motive was.

Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran]   Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] EmptyWed Sep 02, 2015 9:09 am

Well, Oki was almost strangely quiet. Sharaku wasn't sure whether that was helpful or not. Perhaps not, considering that the woman just kept having questions. Seriously however. Why all this just to meet with the Angel? As far as he knew, for the others, the requirement was simply to find them. Once you did, you could talk with them. Then why this extreme security? An Angel can hardly find followers if some guardian woman won't even want to let anyone pass through. It was trouble enough to get to her, and then you had to pass by. Some people would probably piss their pants and give up right away just because of her attitude. Who points a gun at people like that? That is a way of showing you don't really want new people here. Not what he'd call helping the Angel much. She struck him as way too uptight for her own good. Nor did she seem like someone he'd see under the Angel. Not if what Oki said about Deva before was correct. This woman just seemed out of place. What was her deal?

He would keep a straight face, however. ''My mind is plenty made up, you needn't worry about that. Perhaps you misunderstood a little. I don't think one has to want to join an Angel just to be able to speak with them. I never heard of that until now. And I've already met two face to face myself. Why all the tight guarding? Deva won't get any followers easily if you go around scaring people with guns and demaning reasons from them just to see her. It doesn't make sense. I would say it is up to the Angel themselves to judge whether they want to talk with someone or not.'', he would elaborate in a laidback tone, before adding. ''Regardless....unless it is somehow possible to join more than one Angel at once, then I suppose I won't. Although, my intention is not to oppose the other Angels based on alignment. If I wanted a fight, I would have come on my own instead of taking Oki as a guide, seeing as it is Deva's follower. That, and nothing would be stopping me from attacking you out of the blue either. The element of surprise can be a strong weapon afterall.'' That was that for now. She was free to make what she wanted of his words. If it was not clear enough, he could attempt to elaborate more. As much as he did not like having to argue with Helen. Not when decisions that involve the Angel should be handled by the Angel themselves. Or was Deva content with leaving Helen in charge? Without paying attention to what the woman was doing?

Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran]   Two sides of a coin [Oki/Gran] EmptyThu Sep 03, 2015 1:22 pm

Helen, Helen, Helen. What was Oki to do with her? While it did understand that the woman had her reasons for being the way she was, it was a bit disappointed that she did not relax and give Sharaku a chance without too much drilling. After all, Oki had brought Sharaku hear rather than attempting to get Deva to come to them. And why was that? Well it was simply, it wanted Helen on the same page as itself and no one left in the dark. It thought that would cause less trouble, but….. maybe it had judged wrong.

As it listened to Sharaku and Helen speak, the being would sigh inwardly a bit at the situation. On one hand, it could understand where Helen was coming from, but on the other Sharaku had a point. Most angels were easy to talk to face-to-face....if one could find them. In fact, up until Sharaku Oki had never had an issue with protective guardians or even ran into other servants of angels. So what to do?

“Sharaku is not the enemy. If he was I would not have brought him here or even bothered with introductions. In fact, I would’ve done all I could to keep him away from here; however, I have known Sharaku long enough to know that even if he is marked by an angel he has no intention of following the game's rules. He not here to harm us. In fact, if you let him talk you’ll find his way similar to my own. Surely, Deva would not mind such a thing no?”

Oki said finally deciding to step in to help a bit if it could. It was true it did not know Helen extremely well, but it hoped it had enough trust from the woman that she would allow an audience with Deva.

Helen shook her head. "Then you are twice fools. You follow the rules by being aligned to one.  You may think that talking is enough, but conflict is inevitable between the Angels. They chose to battle with one another. You have no reason to be here if not to join us. Not sure why you brought this man Oki if you did not expect persuasion. Leave now, or I will not be the one to guarantee your safety. You failed to tell Sharaku what Deva spoke for Oki? Disappointing."

"Especially if that person joined mean ol' Angel!" a voice rang in the room. Oki and Helen recognised them, causing the woman to go silent. "So what is it big meanie? I'm Deva! What do you want to talk about?"
