| Maya smiled lightly. "I do like it here. Not just because someone has to do it, but being able to work for the department has its benefits. It also gives me a chance to live here in Azores. The islands are nice here." She seemed to lighten up a little and sit back as someone called on a walkie talkie to her, talking about something with "departure". She grabbed it and pressed a button. "10-4. Ready to go whenever you are." she put the device back down. "We will probably be leaving soon. The school asked you to do this? I figured someone more entertaining than me should be interviewed." She pulled out a small lollipop from her coat to put in her mouth as she looked to the young boy. | |

| The boy wrote down the officer's words, happy to finally get information regarding her personal view on her career. He had almost dodged a bullet there... He couldn't imagine actually failing a writing assignment... A scary thought, actually. But it seemed he was being asked a question now, and one he was more than happy to answer.
"Yes. It's an extra curricular assignment for students to go out in the world and see what people who have careers we're interested do." he answered with a light nod, a polite nod across his face. "Hm? You're not entertaining?" the boy a little confused, tilting his head to the side lightly.
"You're a police officer... Who is in charge of a police boat... I find that immensely interesting. I'm honestly just happy you allowed me to interview you in the first place. I didn't think someone with your schedule would allow it." he said with a grateful nod. "So thank you for that." he said in a very polite and happy tone.

| The career part got her attention. “Careers? Well, I guess if you like getting away with stuff for free. But in all fairness, it’s a lot of hard work. I don’t blame anyone for not doing this. Working on the boat would probably be the easiest thing you can do here. Right now I am just filling out stuff before we go. Got about five minutes left before I go up to be basically a security guard. It’s not too much trouble. Maybe if you choose to stay on you can watch, it’ll be safe here,” She explained with a light smile. | |

| Nilo couldn't believe his ears! This was the opportunity of a life time and he was ecstatic. Of course, he only smiled happily, nodding his head towards the Officer. This was so beyond cool for the boy... He couldn't have imagined this happening when he came here today.
"R-Really? You'd let me watch?" he asked almost to ecstatically, causing him to blush lightly. "S-Sorry... T-Thank you though! I'd love to!" he said happily, nodding his head again in thanks.

| She nodded. "Alright then. I can't exactly bring you below the decks to where prisoners are, but I can let you go out to the guest area and see how I do things before I go under," she said, gathering a few small things before standing up and walking to the door, opening it for Nilo. "Well, if you wish to join me." Were he to follow, she would take him above to the desk to some other visitors, mostly talking about normal stuff as another guard waited on the other end of the boat. Horns were sounding that were signalling a go to leave soon. | |
