| "Apparently more people with powers like yours are popping up. We don't see them, but I know what they are," he said. He took another bite of the cake before listening to Shun. Naturally the big brother had to ruin everything. Well, he figured it would happen eventually. "I only told him what was important. Not like it means anything. He wanted to know how I was feeling, especially since I tried to kick you guys out. It's not like I know much about you that I can tell anyway. Was that why you were trying to talk to me?" he asked. It's not like Lewis and Shun spoke much, so what could he say that could incriminate him? He guessed it was fair to tell him, but he was still kind of impressed someone cared now that his name is plastered around the news. "Also, on that note, you'll want to be careful," he said, nodding subtly towards Qwentyn, who was still monitoring the room and looking at Shun. Walking into a police station after his name was sounded off was certainly going to raise some alarm bells in people's head. He wondered if Shunnosuke had considered that. | |

| Shunnosuke briefly glanced through the corner of his eyes to Qwentyn, not oblivious to Lewis’s nod to the policeman. Yes, he knew he was under watch and the officer didn’t seem too comfortable with his presence. Well now… — Part of the reason, yes. I didn’t know you would open your mouth about that event; in all honesty I didn’t think I would have to state for you to keep it secretive, for you would have the decency to not tell my dear soon-to-be teacher that I’m directly involved with…this. — “Guess I was wrong”, the teen considered adding to his ironic speech, but the way he said it could make his point and dissatisfaction clear enough already. He could tell his chances of getting along with Ariston were flying through the window now…sigh. Speaking about Ariston... — There’s another thing I want to ask you. — For once, Shunnosuke was hesitant if he should introduce the subject. More people like him popping up, huh? He was well aware of that already. From way before, to be honest. Recent “news” just made him more informed of “who” are those people. And among them… — Ariston…he’s the same as me, I know it already. What I don’t know yet is: how? Are we on the same side? | |

| Qwentyn remained watching the young man. The young student may not have known it, but there were plenty of reasons to suspect Shunnosuke now. Lewis lowered his eyes at Shun like he had just opened his mouth to show food he was chewing on. What was this guy thinking, that Lewis was just gonna stay quiet the whole time? “He’s my brother. What do you care? You think I would trust your words and confide in you easier than him? That’s a bit entitled don’t you think? So am I right, and you really are some kid that doesn’t know anything about how stuff works? It’s not like Ariston wasn’t keeping tabs on what was going on. He probably wanted to know if I was actually going through with everything. I wouldn’t be surprised if he knew at least about who I was after. And Ariston? Ha. I knew he had some stake in this. But to be honest, I don’t know what his deal is. Up until now, he has hardly cared about what has been going on, except if he comes by to yell at me for it. But if he is up to something, I am not the guy to ask about it,” he said. In fact, Lewis himself was a bit curious. He did remember his name on the news. Did Ariston get whatever Shunnosuke had? What in the world did he want it for? | |

| Shunnosuke sighed deeply, trying to not get this out of proportion already and attract even more of Qwentyn's attention. — Who you trust more is not the issue here, Mr. Lewis. What I'm trying to say is: confirming my involvement in this mess to your brother could put me in a delicate position in school, with him, that's all. — A pretty simple logic, in fact. He hoped he could get along enough with Ariston, due to his own ambitious reasons, so of course the teacher knowing Shunnosuke was one of the guys who beat the crap out of his younger brother would do little to his favor in that concern; rather, it could potentially foment some form of animosity between them. On the other hand, apparently Ariston wasn't the type to get grudges mixed up, hence the amicable treatment Shunnosuke received in their last meeting. Then again, since Ariston is somewhat involved as well, though Lewis can't tell exactly how, you can never be one hundred percent sure. — I do care about Mr. Ariston, I hold him in high regards. As I care about you as well, so please don't get me wrong, alright? I meant no offense. — He opened a small smile, hoping Lewis wouldn't get worked up about Shun's previous behavior. — Hm...tossing it aside, I remember you saying you wanted to return to Greece, but you've never explained what for. If it's not too meddlesome of me, may I ask why? — A simple question for a small talk. | |

| "He isn't attempting to compromise your position in school is he?" he asked. He didn't think Ariston would do that, but he's seen more surprising things. Regardless, he didn't know what else he could do to remedy that little deal. If he wasn't, then it certainly wasn't something to worry about if they have already talked now right? This guy really knew how to jump to random topics didn't he? He set his fork down. "If I had returned home, I was going to try and get it out of the slump it was in. Economy sucks, people riot, it's practically hell there. But it's my home. So I just wanted to go back. I probably won't now even if I get released but I am still considering it. Why do you ask?" | |

| — No, not yet… — He doubted Ariston would ever compromise his reputation or anything of the like, but still, better safe than sorry. He wouldn’t let his guard down just because he admired the teacher and wanted to develop a good relationship with him. As for Lewis’s response, it made him smile. So the guy was the ambitious type. He doubted Lewis would succeed, even if the man wasn’t captive, but it was satisfying to know he wasn’t wrong in his judgment. An overachiever himself, the student definitely enjoyed people who aimed for the high. — Why? Because I came to visit you, it’s impolite to not strike a conversation while I’m here, no? — He glanced back to Qwentyn through the corner of his sight. The officer was starting to be an annoying presence… — How exactly did you plan to take your country out of its crisis? | |

| Lewis never had it in his head that the student only came here to talk. Their relationship wasn’t exactly friendly, and it’s not like he wanted to think about being friends of his former enemies. He couldn’t do anything; only watch what was going on. So unless he had something decent to say, this was probably going nowhere. But before he could open his mouth, Shunnosuke would be able to see the officer walk to him and approach both of their views. “I feel like weighing in myself, since you guys seem to be taking it so easy,” Qwentyn said with a contemplative look. It was fun luck that Shunnosuke happened to walk in, so he was definitely not going to let the chance slip by. “Tell me Shunnosuke, you seem to enjoy speaking with Lewis plenty. Why don’t you know more about Ariston? You could easily be trying to get information out of him by misleading.” He said, getting to the point swiftly. Lewis smiled a bit. “Shunnosuke isn’t the type to do that sort of thing. He’s apparently a goody two-shoes. I find it hard to believe, but he-“ “I wasn’t asking you Lewis. You know why you are here.” Those words seemed to shut Lewis up as he scratched his chin and took another bite of the cake. “Well? Anything you’d like to add on your involvement in this?” He spoke sternly, with watching eyes that almost shone like lighthouses. | |

| His eyes switched back and forth from Lewis to the officer, assimilating in what situation he found himself in. Is this truly happening? Was Officer Qwentyn really suspecting Shunnosuke had something to do with Lewis's crime? He would be offended if...if it wasn't true. Not exactly the kind of involvement the young man had in mind, though. Now he could understand what Lewis truly meant by "being careful", though Shunnosuke's lack of fear or respect for authorities made him perceive that situation as nothing but comical instead of frightening, and Qwentyn's attitude as nothing but a daring act of someone who doesn't know his place nor who's he speaking to.
— Wait..."in...volvement"? — Recovering himself from the sudden approach, Shunnosuke made a rather comical, shocked face as if the mere suspicion that he's somewhat involved astonished him. Of course he wasn't taking the situation with the proper degree of seriousness. — First of all, yes, I do enjoy speaking with Lewis. There's no reason for me to not to, since I'm close to his brother and therefore I extend my care to Mr. Lewis here. Second, as for why I don't know more about Mr. Ariston...mind you, I'm his friend, not his boyfriend. — He released a lighthearted breathy chuckle at the absurdity of his banter, as he crossed his legs and took a sweet moment to stare silently at Qwentyn. Almost as if he was trying to read the officer's mind with his cocksure smirk and self-assured attitude. — Now, I'm sure you don't know everything about your friends as well, do you? That is, if you have friends, for I hardly believe that the tight schedule typical of someone in your position leaves you enough time to strip of this garb, exit this facility and deal with regular people who aren't convicted criminal or impolite coworkers as subtle as elephants. Otherwise, you wouldn't have this abhorrent lack of tact in handling a public figure such as a Kurosawa who's just taking his sweet time to visit someone he's friends with, would you? — He narrowed his gaze for a moment, making it clear by his facial expression that the young man had little success in intimidating the teenager, while still trying to belittle him in a polite fashion. As much he was having fun here, he couldn't really ruin his "goody two-shoes" façade, could he?

| "Clever dodging of the question, but you aren't as smart as you think you are. After your name went up on that board, you being involved with whatever has been going on has jumped up. Whether you have helped or made it worse has yet to be seen." "I doubt he's trying given he's here talking to me. He just thinks his image goes as far as he wants; that's all," he snickered. He seemed to be almost having fun messing with both Shun and the officer. This was simply something he obviously saw coming, so he was going to get his chance. "Does that mean that everyone on that board is suspicious?" Lewis spoke to Qwentyn. The young officer looked to the both of them. "Anyone who is so willing to out people, say they have magic powers, then summon a bunch of weird openings and scare some of the crowd is definitely not going to win awards with us. So I will ask you again if you want to return to your "conversation", what is your involvement with this? I find it hard to believe someone with your upbringing needs to deal with this. So you must have a reason to be included amongst them. So you can either explain yourself now or this conversation with your "friend" is over." | |

| He gave a cold stare to Lewis that basically meant "shut your trap". That surely wasn't the time for his irreverent sense of humor. — ...Alright. I should probably be offended by your insinuations, but I'll choose to look on the bright side and think you're just too eager for my attention. — He obviously wouldn't miss the chance to poke at Qwentyn for this, though the teenager's mood was gradually shifting from amusement to impatience. — What "involvement" do you cogitate a teenager born with a silver spoon and a regular student such as me has? So far, everything you gathered to substantiate your groundless suspicions on me is the fact I came to chat with Lewis in person and, should I add, with your and his brother's consent, my name appearing on a random silly broadcast which honestly says nothing since it wasn't the first time my family's name appeared in the media tied to an unfounded gossip...what else? I can assure you I have nothing to do with these "weird openings" you mention nor am I trying to "out" Mr. Ariston as "having magical powers", that's absurd. I'm just worried he's under fire, that's all. Now, is this enough reason for an officer to eavesdrop and harass an underage or you're just jealous nobody bought you a Christmas cake?

| "There's plenty of explanations why a teenager with your upbringing would do something. Thrill-seeking, power, the list goes on. After your names were revealed and all of these islands were tossed into disarray you are really going to tell me that those names were meant to mean nothing? Try again. You say he's under fire but I don't remember Lewis' name on that list. So why are you here and not with him? I don't think you came here just for a little tete-a-tete." Lewis frowned slightly. "I don't recall Ariston telling you that you could come see me here either. So it probably looks a little off on your part Shun. You could be explaining yourself and actually helping the cops though. I'd like to do my time peacefully too," he said, smirking, but his eyes looking down at the table. He didn't know what else to say really. After all, if Shunnosuke really was involved (and he was), Lewis couldn't say anything really. If he was trying to sabotage and make it worse, then that Lewis couldn't help him with. Some part of him wanted him to make it out okay, but not if he was going to act so stubborn. | |

| — Of course you don’t. You’re in jail. If I were to meet Mr. Ariston, I wouldn’t do it here. — Shunnosuke replied promptly, making sure Lewis understood the message, deciding to ignore completely the “Shun” nickname he greatly despises. In any event, he could spend the whole day back and forth with Qwentyn, he wouldn’t mind dissing the man as long as it’s possible, but it was clearly going nowhere. At least in this case, Lewis was right, despite Shunnosuke not too fond of receiving advices from a convicted criminal. With a tired sigh, the student went straight to the point. He was honest here, but just to an extent: — Contrary to your obvious prejudice towards me just because of how I was raised…no, I’m not seeking for thrill and power. Mr. Ariston’s name was in that list as well, just as mine for some odd reason I’m not aware. It truly got me worried and since I was coming to visit Lewis anyway, I took the opportunity to check if there’s really something serious going on with Mr. Ariston I wasn’t informed and I could offer my assistance with. Anything else you would like to ask or are we done now? | |

| The young officer looked over Shunnosuke, before nodding. "You aren't the only way to get information or learn what is going on," he said before walking back towards the door of the room, while reaching into his pocket with a hand before standing by the door to look over the room. Lewis sighed. "I guess he gave up. And cooperation was out of the question because....?" He seemed to trail off as he rubbed the dark circles under his eyes. "Well, it doesn't matter I guess." He sat back, and yawned heavily, before rubbing his eyes with his fingers. He suddenly seemed more tired than he was previously, like he was hit with a wave of anguish. | |

| "He isn't the only way", then why bother harassing him long time? Not something that would help Qwentyn to promote his image as a hardworker, and if Shunnosuke wanted, he was sure he could make his attempt backfire, due to his "upbringing, power-seeking" façade. However...not today. The teen was just glad it ended and the man left their company, although not so happy to see Lewis clearly disapproved his deportment. While keeping his eye on Qwentyn, watching for him, Shunnosuke lowered the tone of his voice.
— Mr. Lewis, let me tell you a story about this acquaintance of mine, also involved in this supernatural mess, who was detained in jail for one whole day because he dared to cooperate with the officers and explain everything, even the details that could be left out. And no, it wasn't something I heard from somebody else, this acquaintance told me on the phone while held captive. Yes, he called me from jail, that was his reward for being helpful. I'm definitely not the one who would go through the same thing, and it isn't the first time I tried to warn the police about "weird things going on", as you will. They didn't take it seriously when they should, and that's what you get. — He was referring to the first time. His "awakening". — Besides, if they were so competent, they would have caught you without the indirect assistance of a group of inexperienced teenagers. Still, that's not my main reason for keeping my silence... — Shunnosuke's facial expression was surprisingly serious here, despite his bitterness for his previous reason for not "cooperating" with Qwentyn, and the teenager had a lowered gaze. — Mr. Ariston...your brother's name was in that report as well. He had already attracted unnecessary attention after your case, and I imagine things are only getting worse on his side from now on. I do know he's involved in something, hence why I came here to check with you, and if I'm right in my assumptions...I'd prefer to keep up with it myself rather than denouncing him to police. Just like I tried to do to you. Does that answer your question?

| Lewis stayed silent, his face unchanging until he was finished, responding in the same lowered tone. “You say this but you know why they could not find me. As for your friend, if he was smart he would have found a way to prove himself and offer assistance instead of getting himself arrested. That isn’t the police’s fault and you know that. But Ariston…” he turned to the side and covered his mouth. “Not sure what to think about it. He hasn’t come to see me in a while. Maybe he’s busy with things. I am not sure…” | |
