A Different Sort of Hunter (Gran-Chan)

It was rare for Akumu to do what he was doing now, but after observing Malstu Island and the rips there, the old being began to wonder more about these strange angels and spirits that were stirring up such chaos in around the islands. So instead of standing back and watching, Akumu decided to step within the realms which these strange beings came from; however, to conduct the particular research he had in mind, he went to an island where he sensed the two most familiar deities to him: Philemon and Nyarlathotep. The two gods that typically pitted their warriors against each other; however, in this case both had seemingly stayed back and instead observed whatever this new chaos was. If they weren’t making moves fully, then did this new event mean nothing to them or were they waiting for their Fate too?

The questions floated about the mind without answer as the attendant exited the pathways between non-existence and existence. His wooden shoes would clack not with the well maintain streets of Penecia Island, but rather the war torn and cracked ones of the alternate side of this world. With the scent of war and agitated spirits all around, Akumu would look to the buildings that somewhat still stood against the onslaught of the war that played out here daily. This place was unsafe, but at least having the familiar traces of the two gods here gave the attendant a bit more courage to do his research in this place.

Akumu would glance around carefully as the book in his arms shifted and change to his compendium. He did not wish to fight here. He only wanted to investigate, but still one had to be prepared in such unpredictable terrian. Keeping the book close to himself he would begin to walk down the streets keeping an eye out for shadows and Nyarlathotep’s children as he began his search for clues to see if an angel was here and if so how he may interact with it. Would it give him information or come out at all? After all, Akumu was neutral ground bound by rules not to interfere directly with things. So with rules of his own to abide by how would this turn out? Cautious, yet determined to learn more, Akumu would push forward to see what it was that Lady Fate would show him today.

Akumu would only take a few steps forward before pausing as he sensed a great amount of energy enter the area. Looking up he saw a bright pillar of what appeared to be light come down from the sky and remain visible in the northeast section of this strange place. That light wasn’t from the gods, he was sure otherwise he would recognized the waves coming off of it. No this energy was foreign, but whether that was because of what he was searching for or not was hard to say. This area was already heavy with various energies, so pin pointing the foreign one was a chore; however, at least with the light there he had an idea of where he needed and wanted to go.

With his mind set, he would look around the open area he was in taking note of where the various openings and doors sat in the area. Right now he could only see two pathways he could go North or South. Choosing North, he would walk across the open area and enter a thin and strangely built ally way.

He would pause and look both ways taking notice the path bended towards the South if he went East. To the West the path continued straight onward. Choosing West he would begin to push through the area, his senses on high alert as he moved. He could sense shadows all around, but thankfully so he did not see any and none saw him. He did not wish to be bombard by the creatures and to be honest he wanted to avoid them all together; however, this place being what it was Akumu was not too sure if his wish would be granted.

Pondering this small disappointment, Akumu would remain careful as his shoes quietly clicked against the ground. Barely standing buildings surrounded him along with the stench of waste and decay. Taking in shallow breathes to keep out most of the scent, Akumu would travel onward.

Movement:
