PostSubject: Re: Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening)   Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 EmptyThu Jan 15, 2015 10:56 am

Shunnosuke glanced back at Naomi and chuckled a bit. Like they say, "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never harm me". Meaningful stares could also be included in the count, as he was fairly used to them. It bothered him at first, but gradually the teenager learned to defend himself; after all, a stare is just a stare. — And again, I didn't even have to ask anything and you revealed by yourself this fear of snakes. — This is getting more interesting as time goes by.  If he was classified as one of the "snakes" Naomi referred to, a hint the teen would take some pride in assume, he might as well accept the role and bicker back. — It'd be a pity if you get bitten by a venomous one before even thinking of chopping its head off, wouldn't it? Beware. — A threat, a warning, whatever way Naomi would interpret it, he'd got ways to go with that clash until any of them got tired of verbal assaulting. Other than that, he was there for a reason and it didn't involve having individual fights with the girl, but focusing on his current task of assisting in that battle since he lacked the proper skill for it. And it included assisting her as well. — I got your back, Hyde, finish it off already. — As he said so, Andromeda spread a soothing healing aura for those who were physically tired of battling.

PostSubject: Re: Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening)   Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 EmptyFri Jan 16, 2015 12:50 am

Gods, Naomi couldn’t stand Kurosawa. He was an annoying little priss that seemed to not give a damn about anybody but himself. She would never understand people like him. He didn’t even seem to give people a chance when he first met them. She had tried to be nice back then, but he spat in the face of that pretty quickly, and this was her breaking point, “I said you won’t get anything out of me a person like you can use. Last I checked, I wasn’t afraid of you, so it still applies.” She wasn’t afraid of the boy in the least, but she would drop this argument for now. She was tired of wasting her energy on him and being angry at Hyde while she needed it to fight. They weren’t even worth it. She would throw her hands up and sigh, “I’m done. I’m tired. I just want the other me to be in there. I don’t want to fight any more. This is all so exhausting.” All of it was. She was tired of fighting and spending all of her energy on this mess. All she wanted was to find the other her, set her straight, and get out of here. She was sure she wasn’t the only one getting tired. Not that she cared how Hyde and Kurosawa were holding up, “How are you doing, Alphonse?” That was the only person here she cared about right now.

She wasn’t sure he got exhausted the same way a human would, but she knew that the only real difference between them was that he was not flesh and bone, but nuts and bolts. He was closer to being human than anyone would probably realize. That meant he was probably getting tires, if not bored of this situation, “I’m sorry this is taking so long. I have no idea which way we’re going or how long it’ll take to get there. Why couldn’t we have gotten a better hint than just knowing who’s here?” She was slowly starting to feel down. If this room had someone besides the other her, then how long would it take to get to the next one? This was going to take forever if she kept making wrong turns, “If I’m wrong again, maybe you should choose the next place. I mean, I you can’t make a worse choice than I have been. Maybe you’ll get it right on your first try.” She laughed lightly and sighed. What was even waiting at the end of this? Was it really more power? What did that power even look like?

Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening)   Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 EmptyFri Jan 16, 2015 4:13 am

The android watched the shadows fade, which was good as now they could progress forward and deal with the the being behind this door. However, the argument between Naomi and Shunnosuke was starting to reach the level that the previous debate was reaching. Fortunately, the argument would lose steam as Naomi claimed she was exhausted by the constant bickering. "Yes, the bickering and fighting should come to an end. We are not through these trials yet." the android said trying to make the team realize that, there was a time and place! He agreed there were issues needed to be worked out, but now was not the time unless they clearly endangered one of the members. Then he would be more than willing to deal with it here and now, but it seemed that it was settling down.

When asked if something if anything was wrong, he shook his head. "I'm still fully functional, no issues physically." He replied, though that left another question that had yet to be answered. When she made mention of how long it was taking and apologizing, he shakes his head. "Naomi, it is fine. I am willing to do this in order to ensure that my friends remain safe. You all are precious to Maria and I, therefor I am willing to do a lot to ensure that you all get through whatever trials or tribulations you face." He explained offering her a soft smile with synthetic teeth. However, when Naomi began to doubt herself, he placed an arm on her shoulder, "Naomi be confident in your own abilities. You must trust yourself, we are in an unknown area it is only natural to make a few mistakes." Sentinel said before stepping into the guarded block!

PostSubject: Re: Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening)   Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 EmptyFri Jan 16, 2015 9:53 am

“Alright, good job team. They didn’t even have a chance our teamwork is starting to be a lot better now. “ Hyde was saying out loud as he continued to walk and follow the group. He kind of wanted a situation to come so he could get a chance to use his wildcard power, but he was also keen on using Codas due to the scanning and the other utility that his initial persona had on it. Codas was definitely an all-around attacker and had a lot of things going for it was just lacking in the magic department. However, that’s exactly why Hyde has other persona’s that could fill in the gaps for his lack of magic; it didn’t seem like a total waste for him in general. Combat was the only thing on his mind for the time being, Hyde was getting a funny feeling that Alphonse was the only person that Naomi cared about when she asked how he was doing. Sure , Hyde was also concerned for his friend Alphonse but he was the toughest of the bunch. After fighting with him a few times and noticing that they have the same kind of style, Hyde knew that Alphonse would be ok as long as everyone was supporting each other as a group.

But what about Shun, he was physically weaker than most. Could he keep it up? They have been walking for quite some time and Hyde idnt bring much of anything to snack on. He didn’t have any kind of water on him either. It didn’t matter if she didn’t worry about Hyde himself, Hyde did things on his own mostly and he had some pretty good cardio in order to back himself up and support himself along the way. In that retrospect, Hyde was a reliable guy in a way. But still, this was Naomi’s show and Hyde was a bit tired of tryng to get her to like him. He wasn’t giving up on attempting to have a friendship with Naomi, It would have to mean something after all of the work and effort that they were putting in this travelling. But there was a chance that even after all of this, Naomi would still continue to dislike and even shun them, probably having the thought that she and Alphose could have took on this whole place by themselves. That’s ok if she wanted to think that, Hyde was simply done talking for the time being, lost in his own thoughts as he followed behind. I tried my best, that’s all I could hope for. “

Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening)   Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 EmptySat Jan 17, 2015 1:12 pm

After listening to both Naomi and Alphonse, he'd just smirk with a smug undertone to it, almost as if he wasn't bothered at all by their indifference.
Whatever. Now, I hope any of you can focus on what's more important, like the valuable input I've just provided. — He shrugged and crossed his arms as he continued to follow the group. To be honest, these random encounters involving shadows and whatnot were starting to get on his nerves, just like everybody else. He wasn't in the front row risking his physical integrity in a direct clash, but nonetheless, the mental stress of being randomly harassed by monsters was there.

If any of you have been damaged in the last few battles, I can help aleviating the wounds. — He said, listening to the conversation about exhaustion. That's the least he could do, despite not facing his offer as an obligation, but a mere favor; after all, they're on the same boat and they have to go through this together, even though they didn't enjoy each other's presence. — Well, you said previously you haven't met this place before, of course we don't expect you to know where we're going after all. However, let's just keep forward. It's just a matter of time. And for once I'm not tired. — He said this with a slight "thanks for asking" sarcastic tone. Truth is, he really wasn't tired. Not that long walks were Shunnosuke's favorite sport...or any sport, for that matter; it's just that his thirst for unveiling that place could keep him going on for a little longer before his body showed signs of complaint. — What about you? Enduring well? — The teen said, turning his sight to Hyde. The question probably was needless, his muscular build would favor him in this travelling and therefore he'd be fine. It wouldn't hurt asking, though, and his classmate was atypically quiet. Whatever lies inside his thoughts, only him could know; it would still leave Shunnosuke wondering...

Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening)   Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 EmptySat Jan 17, 2015 9:10 pm

As they walked through the door, they would find themselves outside a digitalized house. In fact, she recognized it very clearly as the old house she once lived in Standasen, with obvious glitches in its rundown stature. It looked exactly as she remembered it, right down to the odd smell of smoke emanating from the doorway that lead inside. It would be a short silent moment before someone she knew burst through the front door, a cigarette in her hand as she took a large drag before giving Naomi a distasteful look that had both pity and resentment...the kind of face only a mother could give.

Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 Coffee_6453

Her mother, Samantha Leo looked very tired and weary, like she could fall asleep at any moment, and the look on her face when she saw Naomi, was priceless. "Wow...look at you! You've grown up. You've become such a big girl....and still you never fail to be a disappointment." All joke in her voice dropped at that final word-disappointment. She took another drag. "I had brought you into this world, and not once did you ever feel grateful for it. I worked so hard to make ends meet for us. We were a family, and all you did was behave like some brat. What did I do to deserve you? I worked and slaved for you, and you did whatever you wanted, not caring what I thought-you were lucky to get to where you were...Well, I know how to deal with brats like you. Little children like you need some reminders." she said, as smoke poured from her mouth, and seemed to spark in some places. She placed the burning end on her arm and allowed the small embers to sear the small point on her flesh before tossing it to the side. She gave a hard look to her "daughter" and pulled out what appeared to be a large cooking fork, the size of her forearm. "Well? Are you going to stand in the corner, or do I have to make you?"

Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening)   Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 EmptySat Jan 17, 2015 10:27 pm

Naomi wouldn’t even bother to look back at Kurosawa when he said he wasn’t feeling tired. The only person she cared about right now was Alphonse. The other two had shown up on their own. That meant she was only responsible for him. If the others got hurt that was on them, not her. She was just very tired. She would step into the room, her eyes immediately widened when she saw where she was, “This place is back in Standasen. I haven’t seen it a few years.” She has moved a while back, but this is where she had spent the bulk of her life. Well, where she used to sleep at least. She tended to spend most of her time on the other islands if she could. She would move to plug her nose once she got a whiff of that scent coming from the door, “I never noticed before since I lived here and got used to it, but this place stinks.” It was familiar scent, but kind of distant. In fact, it was almost foreign in some ways. She realized why as soon as her mother stepped out of the house. Her first reaction was to sigh since they hadn’t found the other her. The second was to stare at the cigarette in her mother’s hand. Samatha Leo used to smoke, yes, but she had stopped shortly before she had gotten pregnant with Naomi. She knew that from listening to her mother’s stories. This was kind of off. Her blood ran cold when her mother looked at her, however. She knew the look in her eyes all too well.

She had to take a deep breath so she didn’t lose her head. This wasn’t her real mother, just like that wasn’t the real Yatagarasu. Still, that didn’t stop those words from hurting. In fact, she could feel her heart breaking. It wasn’t like what her mother was saying was false. In fact, it was spot on with how she used to act until they moved to San Malarus. She was aware just how much her mother did for her, but she couldn’t tell when she was younger. She was just a kid. How was she supposed to understand just how much her mother was doing for her? She raised her boomerang ready for a fight as Samantha Leo readied her own weapon, “Parents shouldn’t threaten their children.” This time, she couldn’t let it show just how much she was hurting inside. After her breakdown with the snake, she couldn’t sit back again. Still, why did this illusion of her mother have to say the one thing that got to her? She didn’t want to disappoint her mother, or be a burden to her. That’s one of the reasons she had changed herself once they moved. She didn’t want to make her mother’s life harder just by being born. This place really did know how to mess with you, “Obviously, this isn’t the right place, so we should end this as quickly as the last one.” There was still more to explore. They needed to move on and fast.

“I would say that I’m fine for the time being. To be honest with you, I have so much energy…it’s like I don’t even get tired sometimes. I was more worried about you though Shun, since you aren’t as physically fit as the rest of us. I kind of could tell whenever we had P.E class together. I kind of didn’t know how to ask you if you were ok without labeling you as a weak willed person or something. That’s not what I think at all..” Hyde was a bit silent as they entered the next room. “I just worry sometimes I guess..” Hyde was moderately silent with the exchange between Naomi and her mother. He didn’t know why, but he felt a bit rattled on the inside in general. “Family huh?” Shun probably knows why the whole family thing was a “different” topic for Hyde, considering that he knows about the orphanage incident. However, it was none of his business to begin with, it’s not like that was his parent. Though, if that’s how parents really are, what did he really have to look forward to?”…..” It didn’t matter, or maybe it did. Hyde couldn’t help but to tremble violently after this “Thing” Took the form of Naomi’s mother and talked down to her.

“If you were her real mother, you should be proud of her....and accept her for who she is.... the product of your parenting.... for better or worse...." It was none of his business anyway; Naomi didn’t even care for Hyde or Shun to be there. However, this situation was eating at him; it was hard to hold it in.

Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening)   Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 EmptyTue Jan 20, 2015 7:24 pm

I'm not as weak as I seem. I'm fine, really.  He said, assuring the redhead his condition was still fine for the time being. When they entered the following room, however, he changed his mind immediately after Naomi explained that place was Standasen. Gosh, he disliked that place a lot. — Or at least I was... Standasen,urgh... — Shunnosuke uttered deridingly. He had never stepped in Standasen due to its general aspects, too obvious to be worth mentioning, and he wouldn't plan to do so anytime soon. As a completely urban person, it's no wonder the rural landscape posed as a discomfort to the young man. To top it off, the place smelled like cigarette, making the boy cover his nose and mouth with the inner part of his blazer's collar.

...and Shunnosuke stayed quiet again. This time, not because he was interested in discovering a dirty little secret Naomi held deep within, but because he could share some identification to Naomi. Her mother's words were like his mother's words to him. Her look to Naomi was like his mother's looks to him. He, who considered himself way better than that girl in so many ways, found out they weren't too different as he thought... — ... — It didn't take long for him to notice that wasn't truly her mother but another shadow taking the form of a close person to Naomi, aiming to hit her emotional weaknesses. He saw that before with that redhead punk, this time it wouldn't be different. All they had to do was finish this battle as well. — Andromeda...help her. — He muttered to himself, while summoning his Persona once again to assist in the battle and glaring fixedly to Naomi. Part of him thought she deserved it for being a complete b*tch...another part, though, wanted to ask if she was fine after listening everything she listened.

Samantha sneered at Naomi, before kicking the dirt and bringing up a cloud of dirt that would turn purple, and would then fly over to the team, attempting to horrify them and unsettle their morale. While Naomi said nothing, she turned to Hyde. "You are not a good friend for her anyway kid. You don't know what it's like to waste time on some child. It is a pain. Naomi, you could've been a great human being, but you stayed locked up in your home, trying to wonder what to do with your life. When are you going to grow up?!" She pulled out another cigarette and it immediately lit on its own before she placed it in her mouth.

Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening)   Naomi's Stolen Identity (Prime Awakening) - Page 4 EmptyWed Jan 21, 2015 1:23 am

Naomi was slowly coming down from her anger. She still needed to have a talk with Hyde, but she wasn’t steaming with rage anymore. Although, she was almost moved by how he spoke back to the thing pretending to be her mother, “Don’t worry. My mother is proud of me and I know this thing isn’t her. It’s just wearing her face.” She hoped that was true, at least. Besides, what would her mother be doing here? Still, she couldn’t deny the way those words sounded. She had always been worried about what her mother really thought of her. Her mother was the only family she had, after all. It was only expected that she wanted her mother to think highly of her. She was even further surprised when Kurosawa seemed to be trying to help her. Was… Was he being nice? That was surprising. She would return his gesture with a smile, despite the part of her brain that still wanted to scream at him, “Thank you.” She wasn’t completely inhumane. She understood when others were helping her, and she would respect that. Sure, she wasn’t doing a very good job of it lately, but she did understand those two were trying to help. More or less. That’s why she had been giving Hyde some (very little) slack. She only blew up at Kurosawa originally because he seemed to be using this opportunity instead of genuinely helping her. She wasn’t heartless, just a bit of a brat.

She would look at the thing pretending to be her mother and speak, “I am grown up. I’m the adult you raised me to be. I may act childish sometimes, but who said that being an adult is the same as having to act a certain way. Acting like this, like a child, it’s my way of growing up. I don’t want lose who I am just because I’m an adult. And who says I have to know what I want to do with my life right now? I think it’s okay to not know everything. I just want to keep looking for what I love and who I am. So... You should support me no matter what that means.” Was she trying to reason with someone that was only wearing her mother’s face like it was the woman herself. For some reason, she just wanted this person to understand where she was coming from, “I know I was a bad kid and you may resent me for all the issues I cause growing up, but… you’re still my mother and I want you to say I did a good job. If I become a great human being, it’ll be because you raised me that way, despite all my flaws.” She could actually feel tears welling up behind her eyes. They weren’t out of sadness, but felt more like she was almost happy. Sure, her mother’s words stung, but she was finally getting the chance to respond to the fears that had been sleeping inside of her. A small, bright smile actually wormed its way across her lips, “I’m a big girl, so I shouldn’t cry. Right, mom?” She had heard that line before. It’s why she was always trying to smile.
