A little update

Be sure to check the timeline, as the nature of the portals surrounding this plot and provide travel to other worlds has now changed somewhat. They are now rifts of sorts, but apart from what is described in the timelines, they still act as normal portals and nothing has changed for the most part. If you have any questions, let me know.

As of now, the Nyarlathotep Wild Card position is back open for grabs. Philemon Wild Card is still taken by Hyde, but due to inactivity, Lumyr's position as the Wild Card for Nyarlathotep has been taken. If someone who wants to take the position in its place, feel free to message me.

Time to update. Nyarlathotep Wild Card spot has immediately been taken up and away.....lol?

EDIT: Position is kind of in Limbo at the moment, and will be looked at if a certain person comes back from inactivity. Regardless, either way it is still taken.

Regarding the Rogue class, I have a sweet present for you guys. For Persona Overdose, you can now change your strengths and weaknesses during the mode, and the time period in which your Persona will go haywire has been toned down from the rest of the battle to three turns. That way the Persona will eventually come back to you since you are constantly taking your meds right...? The template has been updated in the appropriate section, so feel free any current Rogues to go in and copy it to add that little quirk to your skillset. Well, that is all. Carry on.

A Face Claim Board has been made for you to add your current characters so we can easily identify who is claimed from what and who isn't. The link is here:

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Instead of completely randomizing your gift, I will be handing out one of the following items:

Human Skill Card: Allows user to create a custom Tier 2 Human Skill. | 25,000 Vc (Price raises double each time purchased for each specific individual)

Card Link: Allows user to replace a skill on their Persona with a skill from one of their Social Links. The Personas must be the same rank. I.E. Initial and Initial or Prime and Prime. Depending on the Social Link rank will determine what Tier you may copy. Tier 1: 1 - 3 Tier 2: 4 - 6 Tier 3: 7 - 9 Tier 4: 10 | 25,000 Vc

Skill Up Card: Allows user to upgrade a previously learned skill to another of the same type, yet a tier higher. For Example: Magaru would become Magarula. This can be used on any Skill under the user's inventory. To upgrade a skill to Tier 4, all other skills must be as high as they can possibly climb. | 30,000 Vc (Price raises double each time purchased for each specific individual) 

You may take one item to give to one character of your choosing. If you choose a Human Skill Card, feel free to put it on your Compendium and let a staff member know so they can look at it. Enjoy yourselves, you all have until the end of the month to claim one.

A little update:

Those who make support Personas that are ONLY SUPPORT  such as Rise (Pre-Persona 4 Ultimax) and Fuuka - No attacks, etc.- will be able to take on tactical skills a rank lower than normal as long as it is not a Tier 4 skill. HOWEVER, the skill Healing Wave must still be obtained in a Tier 3 spot of your current Persona. I could not sway Philemon to lower that, so sorry lol.

For example, if you had a slot on your Persona that required a Tier 2, you could equip a Tier 3 in its place as long as it is a tactical skill.

As a plus, more Tactical Skills will be released soon enough. We'll let you know when they are added.


As another bonus, thanks to Rita's suggestion, if you get a Nihil Soul you can choose to use it to upgrade your current soulbound with another element of attack behind its hits, or a special property, instead of using it to create a secondary soul bound. That is up to you how you plan on using it.


For Velvet Attendants, you are allowed to open your own area in the Velvet Room and perform specific tasks for the guests. Such as how Margaret runs the store, Justine teaches PvP, etc. If you forward your idea of an area to Philemon and the current DM and they approve, you can perform this task in the Velvet Room and obtain VC (money) for a successful job well done. With the money you make, you can assist your guests, and that's what it's all about, right? So go for it.

Allow me to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. I have a couple things to bring to your attention regarding the site. The first being that starting today, the season of Winter has begun. Any new threads that are made will be during the winter season. You guys are making your way gradually towards the truth, and I wish nothing but the best for you all and your other worlds, especially Safi.

Another event to come up on New Year's Eve is the Silent Mountain Festival that will be in Malstu Island, so stay tuned for that as well.

And what would Christmas be without a little exchange of generosities? So, as a token of appreciation to everyone both new, old, and everyone in between, you can all select one item of your choice from the Velvet Commodities and add it to one of your characters as a Christmas present. Do not worry about pricing or what can you select from, for every item in that shop is up for grabs. Just make sure it's one, and it is only for one character. Make sure to claim it before the end of the year!

Finally, soon to come will be a new addition to the Velvet Room. It is in it's finalizing stages and will be up hopefully by the end of the year, or in the beginning of the new year. It will concern finding materials in dungeons and using it to upgrade equipment. More to come soon.

And again, everyone enjoy your holidays. No one deserves to have a sad Christmas whether they get something or not, so please take the time to remember who loves you, remember that we are all our own quirky family on here, and that no matter how upset one can get anywhere, you all have someone to turn to. New Support Skills and changes:

Healing wave, with the new rule out and upcoming skills, will be slightly nerfed to 15% health returned every 3 turns during battle and 15% returned after the battle is over. It will no longer recover SP. However, now you can choose to have this skill a rank lower if you're solely support. Meaning you can put it in a rank 2 slot.


Heavenly Wind | User empowers their teammates with an enhancing aura right before their next attacks. This will make their next attacks unavoidable.  | 25 SP | Tier 3 [PvS only]

Luck Vigil | Higher chance of retrieving rare items from treasure boxes and shuffle times. | Passive | Tier 2

Pathway of Light | Every travel turn taken within a dungeon will recover 10% of SP for each party member being supported. | Passive | Tier 3

Zero Set | Next turn, all skills will have a cost of 0 for all party members [Not including self and 3 post cooldown] | 50 SP | Tier 4

Into the Void | Nullify all damage, except Almighty, for the next turn for both enemies and allies. [3 post cool down] | 50 SP | Tier 4

Eternal Melody | Extend all party stat buffs for 3 more turns [cannot be stacked - 5 post cooldown] | 25 SP | Tier 3

Invisible Patriarch | Creates an invisible layer that makes the party invisible to one group of NPC Shadows at a time. Allows the party to pass a Shadow's square on the map without battling them, and continue through the dungeon. Any sort of Boss Shadows immune. | 20 SP | Tier 2

Shuffle Time +1 | Allows the team to retry their shuffle time once each time. They lose whatever they previously gained if they attempt to use this skill. | Passive | Tier 1

Also please keep an eye out for the Aeon Arcana nerf coming soon this week, perhaps even tonight. So if you're a member of the Aeon Arcana, stay tuned. We, of course, will allow you to change anything on your character/persona to encompass the change. It is only fair.

The skill Amrita has been changed so it now cures the entire party from ailments, but it is now up to Tier 3. If anyone currently has it unlocked in their skillets, they have to change the set to pick something else to replace it.

An obvious update coming after the plethora of messages I've received in the course of one night. NWC will have a new way of gaining more Personas that contrasts with the PWC.

While the PWC will still need social links, the NWC will gain their new Personas by battling Shadows. Each Shadow you battle will have an Arcana, and once defeated there will be a 50% chance it will leave an Arcane fragment behind for you. When you obtain this fragment it will gain you a level towards that Arcana's specific Persona. You could say gaining an Arcane Fragment is equal to a gaining a social link as a PWC towards a new Persona.

Boss Shadows have a 100% drop rate for these Arcane Fragment. Plot Specific Bosses and Events will give you an Arcane Fragment that unlocks the Judgement Persona for use.

Each Shadow you come across will have a randomnized Arcana unless certain circumstances apply. Needless to say, if you defeat a Persona - User, you will still gain a fragment depending on what their main Arcana is.

When you battle, and you wish to escape, be sure to focus your post entirely on escaping. Do not attack aswell. Escaping works just like in the game. There is a Run command that dictates you attempting to flee from battle.

Needless to say, if the whole team attempts to escape it'll be more difficult than one person staying behind to hold off the enemy while the others escape. Once everyone escapes, that last person will have a good chance of escaping aswell.

I will add this for everyone to see, since we do not have a clear mandate on the terms of escaping from battles without using an item.

I will also be updating the Battle Guide with a new combat type called "Dynamic PvS" which is a mixture between PvP and PvS. You can move around the battle field and interact with objects in the environment to also do damage to the opponent. However, when attacking the opponent directly with your own skills/attacks/etc, it'll still follow the formula of calculating your stats together. These "Dynamic PvS" battles will usually be special story battles, so they will be rare but possible.

A new system has been added under the 'Velvet Commodities' which involves being able to find ores in dungeons to upgrade items and fusing items you have to upgrade them. The storeowner is Akumu Yume, the Velvet Attendant, and the actual store has all information you need regarding this new system. It is currently being tested, so prices or other things are subject to be edited, but until then, feel free to go nuts with this and enjoy it, courtesy of our Attendant.

A late happy valentine's day from me to you. Sorry I was not around to do this on the actual Valentine's Day haha. I was pretty busy.

Regardless, instead of just handing out items for you all, I will allow you all to make a personal equip item and give it to someone else as a Valentine's Day gift. This is completely in character, meaning you'd give them the gift in character.

You can only make one gift, and once you're done creating it a staff member will grade it on your compendium and let you know if it's good to go. Once it is, you can give it to your significant other in a topic.

Now I know some of your may have more than one Valentine, but try to keep it down to just one person. If someone has not already received a gift, you can give them another made by yourself. I don't want anyone to be left out for this.
