"S is going to cry when we get back."
The young Jest remarked as she dangled her legs over the edge of the platform far above where the battle taking place. It was far too up for any of the battle's participants to notice them. Like a whimsical child, she watched the clash going on. It was a nice spectacle to behold, even despite their entire operations in this godforsaken dump of an university was stomped on. But she didn't worry... What use was there anyway? It was all S' grand schemes and his desires to tinker with life as he saw fit. None of that indescribable scientific know-how interested her. But what did was the struggle that was going on.
"..."
Perhaps the Jest next to her was just as interested, if not more. With arms crossed and silence as its mask, the armored Jest watched as the Kuzunoha's and the Psyche-Terrorists faced off against the hulking mass of metal and flesh. Their eyes raced between each fighter working together in tandem, it was almost impressive in itself. Though their focus veered towards the two Kuzunoha's. Cadets were one thing, fighting against the false Queen and her farce of a tyranny. But them? It seemed someone out there wanted to stack against them and their True Queen...
The explosions shook when the fuel hit the creature and E almost fell off, but giggled as she remained seated as if amused by it all. She leaned back towards her partner with a trace of a smile through her bandaged face. "Gee, at the rate they're going, they might actually get the roof to collapse on them. Wouldn't that be a bummer? He he... Say, J, why did you let that Raidou get away with her demon after S? Could've shot her from here or even warned S."
The Jest known as J would remain quiet, still transfixed at the sight below them as the armor that once contained and restrained the rotting piece of flesh that would continue to propagate. They would truly have a fight on their hands. E pouted at his lack of response, but that wouldn't stop her from whimsically poking at her peer as a single bandaged digit kept pressing against their ankle. Their eyes veered down towards the smiling Jest who waved at them before looking back at the battle. E huffed and just glumly watched the view below. They would have continued to watch this farce, but the shrill majestic sound in the distance caused the stony Jest to break free from their posture. "We're leaving."
"Eeeh? Already? Can't we stay a little longer and maybe make things a little more fun down there?" E began to whine at them, disappointed and annoyed by the tone of her voice and rolling her shoulders in indignation. She was evidently reluctant to retreat. They just got here when the going was good and when everything was headed to even a more climactic ending.
J was just then about to reach the door. When his gauntlets grabbed the knob, he gave a shrug and replied simply. "S already got what he needed. There's nothing else for us here. You're free to try your luck down there. But I can't imagine Lady Luck being as generous as Our Lady."
The door was left open as he departed inside. The Jest rolled her eyes, always such a stick in the mud, that one. But it was hard to blame him, given his unique condition. E jumped to her feet on the platform before twirling around towards the door. Though as she was about to leave, she gave one last look to the group down below and blew a kiss towards them, but at one Psyche-Terrorist in particular.
