Gabe had to escape, he needed to. His friends were counting on him, after he made a huge showing of trying to be the guy that they needed him to be, he couldn't get taken out like this. He needed to do something, anything to turn the tables. But it all seemed pretty much frustrating, it seemed as if the cadets really got to him. To call himself a leader one day, and for that same leader to get caught in this mess the day after. This all seemed like some kind of sick joke.

Was skelker right? Would it have been better to have just killed the police and anyone else in his way in order to succeed? His philosophies that he held so close and dear to, was that one of the many reasons why there wasn't enough options available to him. Or was it because of his weakness?

Was it because he wasn't strong enough? Could he have become stronger? He needed more power, more than this. He hated the wall he hit, despised his own incompetence to a degree.

"I need more power!"

But he was also clear about his own fear possibly leading him to question himself, the fear of it all being over. The wish for more power was empty and deceivingly insane, it would have never been enough for Gabe, the underlying greed of the magician gambler.

"Why couldn't I be the wildcard?! Why Gerio?! Why can't I get stronger?!!!"

He had so much power, it opened options to what he could do. And yet, even after making up with his comrade, he couldn't get Frogger to keep his promise. He wasn't coming back to the playhouse anytime soon, but atleast he would be safe under the raw power of a savage like Skelker.

It was a fruitless wish made to no one in his mind, a declaration echoed to the abyss of the waste and filth that laid around them. This was the place, this could possibly be the place that Shotaro met his end, in the festering filth that's flushed down from the city's inhabitants he wanted to protect.

He was tired, but he had to be strong, he had to protect this image up until the very end.

"It's not just bravado or nonsense. Kidnapping, cannibalism, you people were responsible and were never held accountable for any of it. Betraying the trust of the people you were supposed to protect, and yet......we the terrorist when we are held hostage by our own government. This might be the last of Gambler Shotaro, but as long as people exist with courage in their hearts to realize the wrongs of the government and try to stop them, it will never be over. "

With the knight charging his blade, Gabe brought about his final flame dynamo as well as he ran forward with the card in his to send a wave of flame in the knight's way. But as the thunderous cackle of his energy veered his flame attack out of the way, Shotaro himself was engulfed in. In this light, his consciousness instantly faded away, seemingly with every flashback of the good times he had.

He couldn't avenge Selenus.

Nola would be all alone now.

He couldn't keep his promise to the playhouse of leading them to a better tomorrow.

All of the new members he wanted to encourage and help grow so they wouldn't feel lost.

He couldn't apologize to Brittany.

And Susan, after her opening up to him and finding out who he really was after all of this, maybe she would feel betrayed the most?

As if that was where he belonged, Gabriel Gatsby fell backward in the festering filth of this great city........................in full view of the man who finally caught him.

Another speech, idealistic and blinded by self righteous again. Though while he spouted a lot of nonsense, some of it made sense. As long there were authoritarian governments people would rebel, its just a matter of time until it collapses. For now however, the reign of Isla was the best choice, perhaps someday totalitarian states will no longer be needed when the last demon falls or is banished back to their realm and sealed off. But that day isn't coming any time soon, supporting Isla is the lesser of two evils and he felt no guilt about that. Death of hundreds in a forest, incarcerating people into paintings, taking hostages and planning to start the Divide again. This man was blind to the dangers endymion citizens face and how the cadets, most who live normal civilian lives for the most part, are risking themselves for the people.

"Hmpf, i was just starting to get a little motivated." He sheathed his blade before approaching the unconscious Psyche terrorist and taking on his shoulder. He'd return to Isaac. "We should return now, your help was appreciated, Isaac." Albrecht would return through the manhole where they came from, finally putting an end to this night.

Isaac's normally cheery demeanor had chilled before the other Cadet returned to him. He was tapping his foot impatiently. Thankfully, it was good news.

Isaac nodded to Albrecht as he spoke "Yeah, no problem." he grunted as he lifted up the unconscious Marta again. "Thanks for allowing me to come. All in all, I'd say it was a good night. Two dangerous Terrorists off the streets and nobody had to die." a small grin resurfaced. "We should get Pizza."

With that, he followed the more seasoned cadet out of the sewer, into the waiting company of Endymion's Finest, and the end of a long night.

It would seem to be a triumphant night for the two Cadets who were able to bring about the defeat for their adversaries. However, this night would not end so kindly and so easily to those who who believed they were truly the victors. Before the Cadets would even try to exit the sewers, a whisper began to ring in Gabriel's mind. Rather, a giggle could be heard. It was a familiar one he heard so long ago by the time before the Divide. That unforgettable day when he met her. "Poor Gabriel... Valiant Shotaro, fighting bravely and uselessly fighting against the powers that be. You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you? Falling all alone against the forces you swore to fight with regrets piling up... Don't worry, I won't abandon you."

Even in the endless sea of his unconsciousness as he cycled through the good times in his life, the bad things that occurred also came rolling around in his mind at full force. All of the negativity hit him with full force like a truck, a debilitating strain on a man who was already defeated by the hands of the cadet who carried him into an unknown fate.

For years and years, he resisted Rei and her influence, the peak of her head only led to unfortunate circumstances for others and himself. But there was one thing that she had that he didn't which matched the wish that he currently harbored in his heart. Even though he couldn't speak, what was barely conscious in the essence of his mind...

He wished for power.....without it..he couldn't fight back or protect anything he held dear. With Gabe being in such a situation, it was time for a new gamble for the man, the gamble of madness with a man who had nothing to lose.

She caused the great divide, much strife, and stress in Gabe's live. But right now, in this very moment, she was the only one that was there. It could be his ONLY chance, and if he truly wanted to survive this encounter, he had to gamble everything he had.......

EVERYTHING..........

So he fell, giving into the madness, letting go of his grip that regarded the internal struggle he faced and fought alone all this time.

"You made...the right choice..."

It all began in the dead silence as they were making their way through the sewers. As the two walked, unconscious terrorists in tow, suddenly, whether they looked above or not, the ceiling would crumble into large piles of rocks. If they looked up during the attack, they would see a mutated figure, with red legs and a greenish body; a Persona?! Each shard of the sewer caving in on the group was larger than they were, and would easily cover the room and well into any hallways they may attempt to flee into (easily over 20 squares from their current location), hitting Albrecht, Rui, and even the unconscious terrorist Marta. The pain they would feel from the crushing rocks would be real, so heavy that they could be brought to their knees to it. The attack was so sudden, and impossible to see coming that it would be hard-pressed to find a way to avoid it, especially However....it was all a lie. For when they blinked after being crushed, the room would quickly return to normal. The ceiling had not in fact been crumbled into; did that mean this was an illusion? Everything would not be out of place in this room, save for the noticeable fact that Shotaro had left their presence. For some reason, as Albrecht would be presumably crushed underfoot, he would no longer be able to feel him on his back. He had for all intents and purposes, vanished. The attack ultimately was very unlikely to miss its targets, which means the unfortunate Marta may feel a sudden painful jolt in her head before nothing, like an electronic being suddenly unplugged. If by a freak miracle they would dodge the attack, they would need nothing short of incredibly senses or near supernatural reflexes, as the attack would more than likely catch them unawares. Regardless, if they did it and Albrecht still had a sensation to feel besides pain, he would be able to feel a quick blur as Shotaro's body would vanish away from him in the confusion, faster than any kind of bullet.

Just as they were becoming to think the mission was over and done with, the ceiling crack and fell down around them. He didn't have long to act, but He knew there was no way to avoid the huge chucks of rubble. There was a figure there...what was it? It all happened so fast. Isaac tossed the unconscious Marta to the floor and kept over top of him, covering his back with his sword to provide some kind of protection to them. The crushing sensation was immediate and terrible, but then it was gone.

In the Silence that followed, Isaac grunted. It may have been just a trick of some kind, but it hit him hard. He was collapsed over top of the Psyche Terrorist, sword lopsided against his back. Reaching for the blade, he did his best to support himself with it enough to sit up. That one attack had nearly destroyed him, he felt.

He looked around for Albrecht. "Al? What the hell was that?" he tried to stand up on his shakeup legs. He was numb all over, and his ears were ringing. "I hate to admit it, Al...but we might need some back up here. That was one hell of an attack."

Isaac took a couple pills, feeling the Medicine do it's work. "it's gone for now, too. Let's head out and regroup, Call for back up, and have the cops cover the exits, if they aren't already." Isaac added reasonably, struggling this time to pull Marta up over his shoulders.

If Albrecht agreed to head back to the entrance with him, he'd advance 6 spaces toward the exit. "Come on, That thing could be anywhere. It's not safe to travel alone."

The Forgotten, unlike those with Persona, have an innate reaction speed greater than what you see in normal humans. The speed at which Gabe's persona could move was behind of Albrecht himself(Albrecht having 86 Luck, Gabe having 50), making the Knight Forgotten able to see this attack coming with room for reaction. Albrecht would simply drop his opponent, meanwhile his right hand was placed on the hilt of his Demon Weapon and pull it out, while summoning a sphere of lightning(Tall enough to touch the ceiling and with 7 meters of radius) centered around its caster and trying to catch both Gabe and his persona within it while also curving around Isaac as to avoid hitting him. The corridors weren't very tall, meaning the enemy's persona should be within the reach of Albrecht's sword, he'd perform an upward slash as he unsheathed the blade aimed at it stopping at at the lower part of the persona's torso and going for a second attack, a swipe from left to right, his speed with the blade and reaction time should be enough to perform the slashes while the ball of lightning formed.

Damned hypocritical bastard! For all his bravado and speeches about freedom he was another one of those demented clowns. He could feel the anger, the hatred inside himself boiling. A force of inhuman hatred urged him to make the clown bleed, gut the man while he laughs. Its kind did not deserve to be on this earth.

Indeed there was no question Albrecht was far faster than the attack itself, and upon noticing the attack he could attack the persona, and even destroy it. However, the crux of the matter is the nature of said attack. Because the attack had no signal to give, visually or audibly, not to mention that Albrecht lacked a kind of reflexive bent to his physical prowess, to stop the attack before it began would be ludicrous. He indeed could benefit from speed and agility from his nature, but it would not give him reflexes so advanced that he could see the attack coming quick enough to stop it. There simply was no reason to see an attack coming when they already had their targets unconscious and dead to rights. Even if the Persona was indeed above him, the attack had begun as it was summoned, and were it to be broken, once used the attack still goes through. However, he would indeed be able to break the persona into small green sparks before nothing, and Shotaro's would still be able to vanish from his person. The electricity was indeed fast, and even though Shotaro used his skill to move fast, it was rather likely, at least from Albrecht's perspective that it would hit him. An even more unfortunate aspect however, is that Albrecht did not appear to take note of which direction Shotaro was going as he had to focus on attacking the persona with his blade, so it would be unclear where he vanished off to, and though despite the setback, it was likely that he could hit him before he fled. If he did indeed manage to get the drop on him with his lightning, it could not be said if he actually hit his mark. Isaac however took the conservative life and protected Marta by blocking their body, which would indeed be successful, however the effort needed to bring their body from their shoulders below them, as the attack commenced would bring the body swiftly to the asphalt with a thud, bringing blood forth from the top of their head. Their heart still breathed, but it was almost literally beating someone while they were down, if unintentionally. Side effects may be apparent once they wake up. After the attack was over, Isaac would feel a painful jolt in their head as a similar pain from before assaulted his mind, forcing him to relive the sensation of the ceiling collapsing in on him again. By this point however, Shotaro would be out of sight and out of mind, the Persona gone with him.

"This is an order." He said. Then that was it, then. Isaac had just watched as Albrecht filled the room with electricity, barely missing himself, and destroyed the Persona. The Terrorist was gone, though. and it was clear Albrecht was planning on staying behind. Especially with his new head injury (sorry, bro, I tried), the unconscious Psyche Terrorist would need medical attention. And on top of that *Isaac* was outmatched with whatever that was.

Worried as he was about Albrecht, Isaac knew there was nothing more he could really do. Not in his current state. Setting his jaw, he nodded at Albrecht. "Roger that. I'll try to send for back up." He promised.

And with that, Isaac picked up Marta and his sword, and spent all the energy he could must sprinting back to the entrance.

Once he reached the manhole, and handed the psyche Terrorist up through the hole to the cops, He'd find whoever looked most in charge and ask them to call for back up.

Then he stood over the manhole, clenching his fist, debating whether or not he should go back in after Albrecht. If Albrecht died down there without him, he'd never forgive himself.

The heretical clown... It cannot escape, it must go. Their blood spilled for their hedonism.

That hatred, that desire for bloodshed was at its height. He let the clown escape, it wounded his pride. With the bloodlust, it also came his last life due to the attack he had suffered. It was intense, he had received this power boost before and he knew very well what he was capable of doing with it, it was the powers of heavens itself. It was time to unleash it. The blade was charge with the holy lightning, the tip would touch the water before Albrecht. Electricity would spread on the water within 30 meters of Albrecht, electrifying anything in contact with it and even blasting some electricity from it through the damp and moist air and ground, the only safe spot was where Albrecht stood. This would last for a couple seconds.

"I must kill him..." Albrecht wouldn't waste more time standing around, he'd take the path north then left, trying to see if his quarry was escaping through the exit.

In Albrecht's intense rage, he had chosen to make his own person the only place safe from this attack, and it would indeed show. His electricity would first trail the water below, and then course through the air, and above and around him. This would easily destroy the hallways and the ceiling around him, causing the sewer halls to quickly collapse and block off all his current exits and likely spreading to the various paths of the sewer itself. Albrecht himself would be safe and not bring stone on himself, but the sewer due to his attack would be for all intents and purposes impossible to traverse without other abilities to simply taking time to dig his way out. No doubt however it would spread throughout the entire sewer, but he could not know for certain if he hit Shotaro. No matter what, it was likely that as the attack trailed, it could either be seen coming by anyone looking in its direction, and if faster likely avoid it. However the damage to the sewers could not be ignored. The ceiling above him was surely for the most part intact, but now that the sewers have been ruined, he now had a new problem on his hands.

"Hmpf..." This was an unintended side effect of his attack. Albrecht was filled with a mix of emotions. In one hand he had discovered he had enough power to bring down the entire sewer system if so wished, on the other it would take long for him to find out if he caught the Gambler in all this. There was no way he could know, he'd take a few deep breaths in an attempt to let go of the hatred for this moment and escape. It was easier when he had unleashed all the anger into one single attack and the possibility of a dead Infinite Jest brought him some satisfaction too. He shuffled to sheath Lamina Sanctus and brought forth Sturmschlag, a warhammer he had acquired recently and with it he'd start clobbering his way out through the ceiling.
