From the night that Gabe was having, he felt that having something that was alcoholic was to be a bit too much to him. He had to put up a strong front as the head of the playhouse at the time, or at least the guy that can bring everyone together. To calm his nerves, Gabe went off to the tea house for the sake of trying some herbal tea.

"Oh come ooooooooon!" A voice practically wailed from a corner to the nearby server, who shrugged their shoulders. "That's business ma'am. Sorry." A dejected sigh escaped her lips as she leaned back in her chair, pulling her arms behind her head to stretch. She took a glance around the room as Gabe entered the room, and her frown turned upward slightly. She made a not so subtle wave at him to have him visit. If he came over, she would reach around his shoulder to force him close, and whisper in his ear. "You came at the right time, got anything for a thirsty gal like me?" She nudged his shoulder with hers, rubbing his back ever so slightly. She was eyeing a certain drink on the menu which had an obvious price next to it.

1. Offer to foot the bill for Streya's drink (2000 VC)

Arriving at a place that Gabe was expecting to be a bit of a quiet afternoon of maybe drinking some good tea and relaxing in the place, he was met with a familiar face and a familiar situation. It was more the situation of meeting a person he knew that couldn't take care of a tab, leaving Gabe to foot the bill. He didn't mind it at times, it could be expected if someone was tipsy enough to misplace their wallet.

However, Gabe knew this particular woman, and she seemed fucking immortal when it came to drinking. It was a person that Gabe would bet stocks on in the sense of a drinking contest. But this time, her choice of a drink seemed to be quite the pricey choice for an establishment like this.

"Wow.." Gabe would say as he looked at the price of the drink. After looking back at Streya, Gabe would take out the money and place it on the table. "I'll pay for the drink, thank you."

Streya gave Gabe a big grin as the bartender shrugged their shoulders and moved to prepare it. "You're the best. I've been parched all day. It's been a while ah? What have you been up to?" She awaited till the drink arrived, and made a smile when she grabbed it, before taking a conservative sip. "Much better, alcohol is so expensive these days. Never get into drinking; it'll drain the hell out of your battery."

What have I been up to?"

Gabe dragged on that particular question for a while, really pondering on how he could answer that.

"I'm not too sure myself. Maybe things are starting to stagnate a little bit in the sense of work, but I seemed to have landed a position as a composer for a specific amount of audible beats for a famous and popular performer in Endymion. The casino is still up and running, we passed an exception recently. I can't help but to think i'm in a repeated cycle."

Looking towards Streya, he would wonder about her.

"What about you? Also, in regards to the liquor. I was actually here to try tea this time around in order to soothe the nerves. "

"Getting bored? You should come by here more often, I got plenty of stories to talk about to brighten the day. You could always try and find a way to mix it up a bit. Go out one night, find someone you like." She took a sip and smiled. "There's plenty of stuff to do around here." When he mentioned that he would order some tea, she thought for a moment, and placed some money on the table from her coat. It wasn't as much as Gabe had paid her, but it was enough. "The House special." She told the tender who went off to make it. Eventually he would come out with a modest glass containing the warm tea. "I've just been around. Getting a new job, and drinking alot. I went swimming not too long ago, it was a lot of fun. I plan to go out a little more though, I am gonna check out East Eden soon."

"STories huh? Maybe that's what's been missing? I used to write stories, I don't think I told you that. Manga and comics, the literature of that nature. It might have seemed a little childish at first, but I truly believed that I was accomplishing something meaningful when I was putting my creative side to the test. Even now, I still find myself looking for outlets of the sort. MAybe you would have something for me that inspires me to write something great? A lone wolf woman from the edo period that was the best swordsman in the land, and yet the person who wanted to best her was none other than an ex-lover who still harbors feelings for her. "

Laughing out a little bit, Gabe adjusted his posture.

"See, things of that nature. Happiness exists somewhere, people find it in their own way. Alcohol, there is a way to appreciate the different kinds as a connoisseur, each one has a little bit of a story that goes beyond the purpose of making something worth the expense. "

Gabe thought more about what she said.

"You know, you seem to know alcohol. Not too sure if working at the casino would have fancied you? Not disrespecting your current job that you now have obligations to, but I wouldn't of minded the occasional taste tests of our whares if you remained cordial among the guests. But swimming! Something I haven't done in a while. Maybe I'll join you?"

"Hmmmmmmmm why not get back into the literature business? I think breaking out and doing things outside your comfort zone might help, cause it'll give you experiences and ideas that'll get your thoughts going." Thinking about a job at the casino, she chuckled and shook her head. "A cute idea, but I'll pass. I got other prospects in mind. Thanks though. You may be too young for me, so if we swam together people may think you're my son." She eyed Gabe up and down and chuckled again.

"Well, the business that I did have was taken from me. Looks like I made some bad choices as a minor, and even though those choices were made when I was a minor. It's a long story, but it would involve starting from scratch and maybe starting new material. Perhaps there is a chance of recovery of some kind, but time could only tell. "Thinking about it a little more, Gabe reminded himself of when he tried to mix for someone for the first time, that was pretty new to him. Though, the comment about him being a bit young did catch him off guard. He joined in with the laughter, not insulted or anything of the sort. " I guess you got me there."

But I that's what she thought, then what about Susan. If Streya thought this way, what did Susan think about him? Could the thought of the age gap be too much for her?

"You seem to be finding time to enjoy the little things in life. That's always good to hear about people always setting the time aside to do so. But if i may make a recommendation, East Eden's ranch is definitely a wholesome place you should experience at least once. Especially for horseback riding, there is nothing like it. "

"Horseback riding? Hmmm, that's an interesting idea." She smiles and gets up, finishing the drink she had in one final gulp. "It was very sweet of you to help me out. Tell you what. Let's meet there and we can try the horseback riding. Sound good? I got a day or two and we can meet there. It'll broaden my horizons a bit. Have fun, see you there...!" She said, running a hand over his head as she walked out the door with a carefree smile. Whether it was intended the way she said it or not, it sounded almost as though Gabe was picked up by her. Even the bartender seemed kind of intrigued. Surely that wasn't what she meant right?
