Welcome to Persona :: New Arcana! A Persona RPG site!
Welcome to New Arcana!
Welcome, Welcome! You've probably guessed by now, but this is a text-based Persona RPG site for Atlus fans, by Atlus fans. If you're new to Shin Megami Tensei, this place can still be for you, so no need to dash towards the doors! Your first stop should be the introduction board so we can introduce ourselves. Then right after that, feel free to go through our vital information to get a good feel of the site. We hope you enjoy your stay, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to post them here. Ciao!
Shin Megami Tensei and Persona belong to ATLUS. We own nothing, and have simply used their data to create a world of our own. They are the true geniuses behind the scenes.
Rearguard: The team at the backlines. In this formation, you'd usually want to put your support oriented members. Support skills (tactical skills, healing, buffs and debuffs) receive a 5% boost in terms of potency (if they refer to percents in how they work.) and your SP and Luck will be raised by 40%. However, in the Rearguard your attack stats will be lowered by 50%.
Mudo | 25% chance of instant death from the power of Darkness to one enemy. | 6 SP | Tier 1
Tarunda | Lowers one enemy's Attack by 30% for 3 turns. | 6 SP | Tier 2
Wide Sweep | Inflicts a small amount of Slash damage to all enemies with added miss chance of 10% and added crit chance of 10%. | 8% HP | Tier 1
Fatal End | Inflicts a moderate amount of Slash damage to one enemy. | 14% HP | Tier 2
Hell Thrust | Inflicts a moderate amount of Gun damage to one foe with a 20% chance to reduce the enemy's defense by 30% | 15% HP | Tier 2
Evade Wind | Increases success rate of evading Wind skills by 30% [PvS Exclusive] | Passive | Tier 2
Evil Touch | 25% chance of inflicting the Fear ailment to one enemy. 50% chance fear may stop their next attack. If immobilized, will have a 10% chance to flee battle. Wears off after 3 turns. | 5 SP | Tier 1
Tarunda | Lowers one enemy's Attack by 30% for 3 turns. | 6 SP | Tier 2
Passives:
Invigorate 1 | Recovers 3 SP on each user turn | Passive | Tier 1
Soul Skill Name: Dispatched in Mankind's Darkest Hour Persona Name: Svalinn Tier: Tier 1 Cost: Passive Type of Damage: N/A Description: If an ally's health drops below 25%, the effectiveness of Cecilia's healing and buff skills will increase by 10%. This boost will last for the next four turns and will be taken into account when she heals/buffs any member of the party (including herself). It does not stack on top of itself and can only be acquired once per battle.
Queen's Example | Becomes immune to all mental ailments. | Tier 4
Relevant(?) Strengths/Weaknesses:
—Strength Name: To Protect and Serve —Description: Though Cecilia may not be able to harm and damage her enemies, she can utilize her soulbound in other ways. If she guards her soulbound shield will increase her PEnd and MEnd by 20% for the turn.
—Weakness Name: Pacifistic —Description: Cecilia cannot and will not bring herself to harm a living being. The violence she witnessed during the Eternal Divide fucked with her developing mind to the point where the mere thought of hurting a living entity on any level or scale sickens her. As a result, she can never attack someone directly regardless of the circumstances. Her soulbound cannot be used to inflict damage, she doesn't get to carry a side-arm with her, her Persona can't use attack skills, she can't slap/punch/stab someone, etc. It doesn't matter if she's about to die or even if it means the downfall of the government -- she simply cannot bring herself to stain her hands with the blood of another. And while she does accept it as a necessary evil and will allow the rest of her party to kill, she will always advocate for a more peaceful route if her opinion is asked for -- especially when it's humans she's dealing with.
—Weakness Name: Prejudiced —Description: Cecilia will refuse to negotiate with Demons unless no one else in her party is willing and/or able to.
—Weakness Name: Sweet Tooth —Description: Cecilia has a love of sweets and will take her sweet time (no pun intended) enjoying the flavor. HP recovering items restore 5% less HP than they usually would.

~TACTICAL SUPPORT~
Support Mechanic:
With her Eye of Horus Soul Skill Susan can provide remote support from an individual marked with it. She has placed an Eye of Horus on Jackie, Cecilia, and Albrecht this topic. As long as those players are active in battle and not KO'd Susan can provide remote support and monitoring, if they are switched out or become KO'd she can no longer do so.
Susan is currently in Overdose Withdrawal and will target the Alt Cast with her Overdose skills. During this time she cannot be switched into combat as she is using her action to use skills randomly instead. She gains no uses from Withdrawal skills in Alt Cast.
Eye of Horus:
Soul Skill Name: Eye of Horus Persona Name: Seshat Tier: Tier 2 Cost: 15 SP Type of Damage: Support Description: Susan can enscribe an Eye of Horus onto a person or surface, allowing her supernatural senses where she places it.
When placed on a person the Eye of Horus allows Susan to experience things that person sees or hears and can scan enemies just like Remote View. The key difference is that unlike Remote View which establishes a remote call between the team Susan can only communicate back and forth between whoever is marked. They also need to communicate to other teammates through Susan, as in they need to tell Susan to talk to other people, they cannot directly communicate with each other. When this skill is used in this way Susan communicates to others via sending words and information into their field of vision like a Heads Up Display, the other player must speak aloud to communicate back with Susan.
When used in a dungeon the Eye of Horus senses everything within line of sight in 6 spaces through sight and hearing.
When used in PvP she senses everything within line of sight and hearing of an Eye of Horuse when not placed on a person to a range of 3 meters for every 20 points in PMstr.
Susan can place one Eye of Horus for every 20 points she has in PMstr. If she places more she must choose which one is erased to support the new mark. An Eye of Horus lasts until the end of a topic. Susan can combine this skill with her Rewrite skill by adding its SP cost to place the hieroglyph at a touch and dictate how it appears.
Susan continued to fight and claw against her restraints, choking as her face grew red and she attempted to cease her Persona's stranglehold on herself. She could feel the precious oxygen slipping away as Seshat continued to do as she pleased.
I suppose we should also remove teh psychological trauma from the team, it would be more than unfair to begin the fight with a disadvantage such as this.
The businesswoman was aware that this was not how this worked. It was how she wished she could remove panic and distress, though she did have her limits. Susan could do nothing but fight against her bonds and save her strength in case of an emergency.
Priestess Arcana: +5% to Tactical Support skills. Quick Reaction Force: The team who does not participate in battle. They standby at the ready; looking to switch out with their comrades when need be. Considering they are not participating in battle, and are on standby, there is no change in stats. When coming into battle, they can choose which role they wish to take. Those coming in from this role or leaving the combat zone to join this role will be completely open for attack, and will not be able to defend themselves. Their next turn, they will be able to take a proper turn of action in combat.
Strength: Professional Courtesy - Charm and Rage have their success rates lowered by 15% against Susan. Strength: I'm the One in Control! - Once per withdrawal from Persona Overdose Susan can choose the target of a skill she uses instead of rolling randomly. She makes this choice after rolling for her target. The skill is still rolled randomly like normal.
Weakness: Not According to Plan - Panic and Fear have an extra 15% chance to succeed against Susan. Weakness: Rip Off the Bandage - When Susan is suffering the negative effects after Persona Overdose she loses 10% of her total HP every turn. This damage can and will knock her unconscious if she isn't careful but it can't result in her death since her Persona won't willingly kill its host.

Her face was a bright cherry red, fingernails bloody as Susan clawed to bring her fingers underneath the bandages and bring much needed air into her lungs. Seshat, as per usual, had other ideas on how things should be conducted.
This one also appears to be in mental anguish. This cannot continue if we wish to succeed.
Yet the longer it went on the more of a foothold she'd gained until she could finally summon enough strength to break herself from her bonds. "*nnnrg-ack!* aarrnngh Get off me...!" With control finally relinquished Susan would take a moment to cough and sputter, the dying form of Seshat giving off a radiating glow as it returned to its mummified state.
