Following The Rabbit (Transfer Thread for Devi)

It had been a while since the meeting with the Aspect known as the Rake that he and the others had taken down. Once that matter was taken care of along with some apparent bug issues in another part of Junction, the city had jumped and landed in a strange race like world instead. The things around here were interesting, but it seemed this place had issues too. Mainly skin webs that had even the police baffled. While this might’ve scared some and even had others begging Seekers for help, the ink demon was more intrigued by this as he saw it as a sign of something more for him to do. Yes. Yes. It was time to move and do, but before that he had some other errands to run.

Mainly he needed to do things with these books. He had three of them after all and he felt he could not hold onto them like he wanted to, but this was okay. He had plans for these books, he had people he liked and could give them too. Maybe in the end they could use these books for something though for what he did not know exactly. Still they were smart creatures so perhaps they could figure them out and maybe what he was about to do would help too. Perhaps they could crack them it all together. What Junction was and what all this Aspect business was. Yes. Yes. Digging all over they should get to the answers right? Maybe and then again, maybe not. Time would tell.

Regardless, he would set aside a day to plan it all, marking down who was going to get what and when. When he had his schedule all planned out, he’d summon Fluffy and Onyx to transfer the journals to them two days later explaining he had something else to do that would not allow him to continue to keep them safe. He’d give Onyx two journals and Kuzi the newest one they had received from the Under..

With one transfer out of the way, he’d go wandering the city after that his ears listening for a particular sound that had he had heard once before, but didn’t seek out until recently. He was searching for the sound of music and song. Not common ones though. No these songs were more old fashion and done by hand. A lute and a voice that is what he sought.

It would take him two days to find the right section the songs were in and another day to track the songs down to the source. It was late at night when he found the one he sought and while the musician was a bit startled at having a stranger appear to him wishing to speak at such a late hour, he did accept the demon with caution. The demon would stay outside of the other’s home out of respect and sit down to give the bard a task that kind of confused him. He request a particular sort of song be spread around Junction. A song that was composed of the words that he had heard when they first entered the Under. Without any context given the bard wasn’t too sure of why he was being asked this, but at the same time he understood that there was some importance to what the demon asked him to do, so agreed to do it and figure out the strangeness later. As if paying the guy in some way the demon left him a flash drive as a gift baffling the musician even more as he watched the strange demon sink into the darkness from which he had come from.

With all the pieces set into place, the demon would return to the theater one last time to pick up Malaki before wandering to the lower parts of Junction and in turn finding his way back into the Under. Standing before the staircase that he’d last seen HABIT go down the demon would swish his tail a bit as Malaki looked up at him.

“Mama where we going?” the creature would ask innocently.

“A fun, fun place where a rabbit lives.”

“A rabbit? We are going to see a rabbit?” the creature asked excitedly.

“Well we got to find the rabbit first, but yes. When we do find it you’ll see it.”

“And have tea and cakes with it?”

“But of course.”

“Oooh and will there be bears and unicorns too?”

“I bet they and more will come.”

“Yay! Let’s go then mama!”

And so the conversation between demon and creation would go on as they began to go into the darkness to see what they could find below.
