| This place seriously made her want to move out of the dorms. Like, aside from them sucking and being school property. She couldn't even smoke on grounds easily, how dumb was that? No kitchen, no space, that was the first thing she was doing when she saved up enough, renting an apartment. But right now the dorms were free and she was kinda strapped for cash so fuck it, dorms it was. Not strapped for cash enough to stop her from going out and doing stuff though, Patricia still spent most of her money on fun shit to do and crap she probably shouldn't of. Eating and junk like a place to live was free right now so all of the money she made was disposable fucking income, baby! Patty would spend it how she wanted to, it was hers.
So there was some cool shit going on at the Vagabond Inn. It was a bed and breakfast spot but like they had dirt bike paths that went off into the woods and she wanted a piece of that action. Out of all the lame stuff Endymion had to offer biking could be pretty worth it. She couldn't find a group to go with her though, everyone was a pansy and chickened out. Like it wasn't anything you had to commit to, she didn't understand. You show up, grab a bike and ride around for a few hours, what was the big deal? But screw it, if they wanted to be lame they could be lame, she wanted to thrash some trail so she was gonna. Patricia entered the Inn and leaned her elbows on the counter to speak to the rep. "Yo, you guys do bike rentals? I'm looking to get a few hours in."

| "Bike rentals? At this place?" Frog's tongue slipped. He hadn't meant to pry nor had he meant to actually respond, but as he was passing by the girl something just snapped out of interest and he couldn't hold it in. He immediately regretted speaking up and tried to sneak away and follow where his family went outside after having eaten at this place.
Now, he'd never been a fan of the bike. He was much more of a rollerblades kinda guy. Not only were bikes perceived as something sociable, all the cool kids he'd hated and feared as a kid exclusively rode them. So yeah he choose the rollerblades to dedicate his sports life to. The bike was something he'd do only if someone he knew and liked invited him to do it together. He had no reason to speak up aside from the fact he really didn't think the place had bike rentals. It really didn't look like such a place to him at least.

| Was it really that shocking that you could rent bikes at the Vagabond Inn? Like dude, they advertised it, she found it online. They had to have equipment somewhere too, and trails, and y'know actual bikes. Unless this place was seriously popular for Motocross riders for some reason she didn't think she got the place wrong, even if it didn't look like. You'd think that'd be a bigger drawing point, y'know? It'd probably trash their cutesy little mom and pop image though, no one wants to get brunch with a bunch of white trash sports fanatics getting wasted on mimosa. She turned her body to the kid giving him a lazy glance. "Uuuuh, yeah? I mean like this place popped up on WayFarer.com so they should, it'd totally suck if they don't. I blew off soooo much shit today to come do this." A pretty short answer for an easy question, Patricia turned back toward the counter to keep hashing out the score. "So yeah, you got anything?" The older man behind the counter would respond politely and professionally to the particularly uncouth girl, her money was green after all. "Of course we do Miss, we offer a variety of dirt bikes, ATVs, and protective equipment for rental, there are a few courses we own down the road a ways so as not to disturb our guests." The degenerate grinned wide. Nice! Looks like she had it right, just too bad her friends wussed out. Whatevs, it'd be fun to just get some airtime and see what she could do. "Freakin' sweet, dude! Hey, do ya mind if I take a look at what packages you got? I'm seriously looking to ride sometime this week if not today." Patricia loved biking. Like she hadn't done it before but it looked so fucking awesome it really wasn't a question of if and more how hella sweet would that be?! The older gentleman gave a few solemn nods of understanding. "Can do miss, just wait right here and I'll go get the keys to the garage out back.""Sure, sounds good," the thug smiled sweetly. As he left she turned her back to the counter to rest her elbows in a slouch, a look of mild contentment plastered on her face. This was gonna be so fuckin' rad, dude. | |

| Frog responded to the girl with a shrug and remained silent. For whatever reason he'd stopped in his tracks and observed the situation unfold. She was way too energetic. She probably had issues or something. It wasn't his problem. He creeped up behind her as she discussed the matter at hand over the counter and stood behind her up until the point she turned.
"What the fuck is WayFarer.com?" He straight up asked, looking at her from under a furrowed brow. It probably had something to do with biking or stupid extreme sports, he could already tell. WayFarer. How adventurous. "Where did these people even hide those damn courses even? I live her, how do I not know?"

| This was gonna be awesome. Or not. It could totally blow chunks, it sucked doing this all by herself but no one had enough guts to go and she wasn't going to change her mind. What concerned her most was it better be worth the money. Anything more than 120 and she walked, mostly because she seriously didn't have that kind of scratch lying around. Like, how much did she wanna pay to ride some dirt bikes around by herself? The answer was not a whole lot but she could get some worth out of just looking at bikes. That might be sort of cool. She'd rather be spending it somewhere else though, she could go to the music store and actually do something and it wouldn't cost her a dime. When Patricia turned around though she'd get a pretty unwelcome surprise that caused her to jump.
Sneaky little creeper but that wasn't the problem. The problem was he wanted to get all up in her grill. Patty'd lay people out for less but she didn't do it this time because like it was a public place and she'd go straight to jail, do not pass Go. She'd match his attitude and furrowed brow as she turned her nose up at him with a scowl. "How about you cool your shit and maybe I tell you. What the fuck is your damage dude?" He seriously had issues, like, that was totally fucking uncalled for. She didn't get up in his face and start cussing him out and shit, the fuck did he think he was? "It's a website for tourists that finds junk to do, I was bored. I dunno why don't you?" The degenerate would fold her arms, mostly to keep herself from knocking this kid's lights out. She didn't want to deal with any of this petty shit, this isn't why she woke up today. Patty wasn't looking to start shit but she wasn't one to just beta out either, so she spoke her mind. "Dude you are seriously being fucking rude right now."

| Ehhhhhh...he probably was being rude...too rude considering this was a complete stranger. Despite how she looked ready to smack him or something, Frog pulled himself back and tried to relax. At some other moment he might've sprung back with some weak counter response, but he was really at fault here, being pushy over nothing. "Right, sorry. I was being an idiot." He said, briefly shaking his head in response. He wasn't pissed at her, mostly at himself, honestly, for not noticing. It didn't interest him much because he didn't have anyone to ride bikes with, but still, knowing something like that existed would've been welcome. "I really am sorry, I didn't mean to swear. Anyways, it's cool, I guess. Having courses this close to my house. You're gonna go riding the bike now?" He asked, not really knowing what to expect as an answer. Maybe he wanted to go with, but he wasn't ready or willing to speak his mind up about it. A website to find junk to do for tourists. Then was she a tourist? Does coming to a different district in Endy count as tourism?
"Oi, anyways, have a great time, I guess. Mind if I come with to see where the courses are? Can I even do that?"

| Patricia relaxed her posture but kept her arms folded, her scowl becoming a judgemental frown. "Dude, it's whatever just don't fucking... get in my face again and shit." The delinquent wasn't one to hold a grudge, grudges were for petty little bitches that had time to worry about that junk. She seriously didn't wanna deal with any of it, it was a waste of her time and energy and like she wasn't going to give anyone power of her to ruin her day by acting like a jerk. She sighed and shifted her weight. Like homeboy was really tore up about it. What, was he trying to be cool or some shit? There were better ways to do it, you didn't have to try to be hard as fuck. "Seriously man relax. I already said it was okay, like, I don't really give a shit. Say whatever you want just don't jump down my throat and junk," she spoke with a lazy expression, lilting her head to the side.
So he lived here? That was cool probably, like the place had dirt bikes and brunch and stuff. It'd be totally rad to live there honestly if she got a meal pass with it, it'd be hella dope to snake mimosas all morning to start her day. All the people there would probably suck though, like they weren't people she could relate to like the students at the dorms they were all older and totally lame. She crossed one foot over another as she continued to talk to the guy. "I mean I hope so, I came all the way out here for it but I didn't make plans or anything I just felt like doing stuff. Like I could totally get blown off today if they don't have anything available but whatever. Guess I'll find out, huh?" She uncrossed her legs and arms and began to lean her elbow on the counter, becoming a little more relaxed the more she talked with him and realized he wasn't some freak with personal issues like she first thought.
"Yeah dude, I don't see why you couldn't. Like I mean who's gonna stop you? The people who run this place? Shyeah I'm sure they don't want your money at all." Yeeeeaaaah she seriously doubted anyone didn't want him going to see the courses. Wherever those were. They had to be kinda far away otherwise it'd piss off people at the inn. Oh, the bikes are too loud, my snot nosed children are getting their wittle ears hurt by the engines! Pssht, if you didn't want to wake up to the sound of tires tearing through the dirt maybe don't stay at an inn that offers dirt bike rentals? Are you fucking kidding? "Dude yeah just stick around if you want, I'll tell the guy who runs the place there's someone else interested."

| "Huh." Well that was easier than Frog expected, and way too confusing for him to comprehend. Like, was the girl pissed at him or not? And why was she just letting him tag along? He honestly felt like a little kid being led about, which didn't feel good at all. Not only did this girl had such an authoritative stance to him, she also did it all without giving a single fuck. People like that were beyond him in every single way, because he himself always took everything too close to heart, from mere toys and objects to relationships with people. Hence why he'd never let someone he didn't know tag along with him on something like this, and why he'd probably ignore someone like himself if they came up to him out of the blue like that.
"Ok great thanks." It took a while before he said this brief response. He had to process everything and think it through. Pulling out his phone, he sent a text to his family that he saw someone he knew and was gonna stay a while longer. It was hardly an issue, they literally lived a couple minutes away from the Inn. "So dirt biking. How different is it from regular bikes? I think I went to a course once a long time ago, but with a crappy normal bike."

| "Aha ha ha ha!" she laughed at the kid, shrugging her shoulders with a goofy grin, "I don't have a clue dude, I've never done it before." It was true, Patricia had never been on any motorized bike at any time in her life. Well... not exactly. Terry had a motorcycle back when she was seeing him in Cali but like she never actually got to ride one ride one, she just rode bitch. The thug cocked her head at the kid with a grin, imagining doing it actually felt. "Yo I bet it's like riding a normal bike, but like, all downhill, full speed all the way. All the time. It's gonna be fucking siiiiick." Like, all she knew was it was going to be a rush and that's all she really needed. Everything else she could pull of YouTube or something. Hang time, peeling dirt, it all looked pretty damn rad and it was probably easy to do. Just like a normal bike. That was totally perfect, something fun and easy, it'd be a blast just like she thought it would be.
She tilted her head at the bell chime on the door when the guy at the desk reappeared, giving him a pretty relaxed and contented look. "Hey, I managed to snag another one for ya," Patricia chirped casually, hooking a thumb over to the new kid, "Yo he can come too, right? Too look at the gear?" The man didn't seem to be opposed to the idea, merely nodding his head and pursing his lips a bit. "Of course, that's not going to be a problem. Please come with me little miss, the bikes are in the garage 'round back." Patty smirked with pleasantly. "Great, let's go! Dude I totally can't wait to see what you got." The older gent fiddled with a key ring in his hand as he began to make his way out the door, shaking his head just a little at the brazen chummy attitude of today's youth, the purple-headed thug following behind. As she passed by the kid on her way out she'd reach out to pluck the fabric of his shirt at the shoulder. "Yo you still down, nerd?"

| It was getting much more personal to Frog with every new word this girl uttered. At first, he'd been interested only in observing but soon he realized she had no clue what she was doing either and that he would end up the losing party if he were to give in to his own anxieties and decline her preemptive assumption that he was interested in riding the bikes as well. Because he wasn't. In fact, he was scared shitless of the very thought of riding something like that down some rocky up and down track thing. Oh and she also called him a nerd at which point anything other than a proclamation of war suddenly fell out of the question.
"Ye I'm down. And well 'nerd' is hardly the proper word unless you mean my glasses." He said with a snort and grin as he followed. He couldn't understand what drove the girl to do this... And to even invite him to do it with her. Especially since neither of them had the experience. Maybe it was curiosity? Morbid curiosity, were Frog to be asked. Morbid self-destructive curiosity of some purple haired high schooler. Or well he assumed so.
"See I doubt I have much to show you though. I hardly rode much on bikes. But what little I know might come in handy, Iunno. It was usually up and down hills so there's that. At least I got that much experience." It was true, he hardly ever had the luxury of biking on flat surfaces. It was always hills and rocks and stuff, never pleasant. He hated it. In that way, he seemed to be the polar opposite of this girl.

| Cool! Looks like she wasn't about to do this herself. Like it would've been fine but she wanted to go ride bikes with other people which is why she tried inviting people out until they all totally bailed on her. Whatever, fuck'em, she'd do it by herself anyway but it was still pretty alright to y'know, not go around jumps in a circuit like a hamster in a wheel? It could only be so much fun doing it by herself. "Cool dude. And yeah ya look like one, heehee," she'd tease in an off-key laugh. The glasses certainly did it. But whatever she called a lot of people nerds, like, that just meant you were geeked up. Better than loser. Better than a lot of names actually, like if Patty wanted to be offensive and actually try she'd probably get hit but she wasn't here to fucking rude. But yeah it was still whatever. The older gentlemen would lead them to a covered shed out back and began to undo the lock on the large garage door as they talked and waited. "Sooooo what you're telling me is you're about to get destroyed?" The girl would taunt the boy as she felt compelled to do, giving him a wry arrogant grin for a second. But only for that long. It quickly broke when she revealed she wasn't serious. "Ahaha, yeah I really don't know jack either," she'd chuckle with a shrug, "I mean I used to board when I was back in Cali but it's not like this is even the same, y'know?" The shutter would raise and Patricia would turn her gaze toward the shed. A flickering lamp snapped awake with a small buzz as the man toggled the light switch, revealing a surprisingly neat and spacious garage structured like a sporting goods store. A few tire marks and oil stains on the concrete below but still swept and clean with that new car smell. Or like, new bike smell. The walls were lined with helmets, pads, suits, boots, gloves, and anything and everything a rider would need in the lines of safety as the showroom floor held a number of different bikes of similar styles yet each unique in color, exhaust, paint and framing. "Feel free to take a look around, see what catches your eye." Patty just gave the room a wide-eyed look like a kid in a candy store, uttering a single "Daaaaayum..." as she strode in to inspect the gear. So much horsepower in one spot, so many things to just thrash with. She wasn't one to get too impressed by that kind of junk but... damn dude. Like, it was awesome waiting to happen, just add hangtime. | |

| "Lotsa people would look like nerds then." Frog retorted, but more jokingly than before. He was starting to kinda get the hang of what the girl meant with what she said. At least he could try his best to avoid any misunderstandings between the two of them, with how different they came off as. He followed her and the old guy over to the shed, stopping by as the girl continued the conversation. He looked to the ground for a moment as he contemplated getting ... 'destroyed' but he shook the images off. He couldn't have those popping up in his head if he was gonna do this, otherwise he really was gonna crash and stuff. Boarding in Cali...he was gonna have to check that on his phone when she wasn't looking, because he had no clue what she was even talking about. Was Cali out of Endy? If so they she wasn't exactly from here, which was always a good thing to know when meeting people. "Boarding and biking, eh? And I ain't gonna get destroyed, you know." He was gonna start going on a tangent and exhaustive lengths trying to explain to her why exactly he wasn't gonna get destroyed, but the garage door opened and his heart sank, face turning white as a sheet.
"T-those are dirt bikes-!??!?" He yelped in shock, taking a step backwards. "I didn't actually know these were gonna be motorized. W-what." Suddenly, the images of getting destroyed he had before felt like but a distant happy dream. Reality was nightmare enough, and as the girl got more and more excited about these, so did Frog get more and more terrified, both of her and of the actual bikes. No, they were motorcycles. Who even chose to call these monstrosities bikes in the first place!? Now he was really really really shocked that this was a legit thing in Sunlake Palms, especially at the calm and happy Inn.

| The delinquent stalled as she looked pensive for a moment. "Naaaaaah. It's just you," she teased. He was pretty fun to mess with not gonna lie. He didn't get butthurt like everyone else did when she poked at them, like dude calm your shit it's just a name. So he was pretty chill, that was good to know. Maybe she'd have fun with this then, it was usually a drag when she had to spend time with people that took themselves seriously. They were always so full of themselves and uptight like everything mattered. Well uh, yeah it didn't. Those people were entertaining to screw with for different reasons, it was strangely enjoyable watching someone foam at the mouth while you laughed at them for like the dumbest reason ever. "Yeah dude, I think I started when I was like... fourteen? It was the cool thing to do, y'know?" she casually bring up. She really wished she could board some more here but first she'd need to buy one and maybe find a park. Or y'know use the school if she didn't give a shit. "I wasn't really that great though. Like I could shuv it and axle stall but I never learned to grind without eating pavement or any of the fancier crap aheheh." Homeboy was wrong though. She didn't plan on flat out losing, if she had a say he was getting annihilated. The trash talk would just make it sweeter when she won. "Dude you are gonna get wreeeeeeeecked," she taunted with a smirk before waltzing off to look at the bikes. Yo it was a pretty sweet spread. Most were low CC but low CC was better than no CC, it's not like they were go karts or something. She took a liking to the Yeti 20S, it looked sleek and decked out in a green rip paintjob. If she had to pick she was gonna pick that one. But uh, homeboy started to flip his lid. "Haha what's wrong dude?" she challenged, "They're just dirt bikes, they're not gonna hurt! Y'know, unless you pop off an incline and sink your teeth in the dirt but that's what helmets are for, right?! Ahahahaha!" Patricia would take her opportunity to tease him some more. Like yeah it'd kinda hurt if you fell off but that was just part of riding dirt bikes. You get back up and get back on. It was pretty worth the risk in her opinion. "How'd you not know homeboy? I thought you lived here and junk, they like advertise it on the website I'm surprised you don't go riding every day!" Her encouraging smirk would quickly turn into a devilish one as she chose to challenge him to do go through with it. "You're not scared, are you?" | |

| Ok to be honest Frog could act as tough as he wanted to but he'd be lying if he claimed he actually understood any of the crap she mentioned about boarding. It was all some street lingo to him or some such crap. He blinked and tried to grin. "See I used to have a skateboard as a kid. But I didn't ride it much." He replied. "Like, ya gotta be real good to be able to do stuff that's real cool on a skateboard anyways. Otherwise it's just a really impractical ride."
Now, back to the problem at hand. First of, he was scared shitless. Secondly...he had no clue what he was supposed to be looking for in a dirt bike. He couldn't just back out, not with her teasing him. With every word she said, his face turned a bit redder. At one point it started turning green on top of that too. Some frustration was building up inside him as he let out a shout, rubbing his eyes from underneath his glasses and taking them off. He turned to the owner. "You gotta keep my glasses safe, at the very least." He said. "And you, you gotta help me choose a bike. I have no idea what I'm even supposed to be looking for and choosing." He said to Patty.

| "I dunno man," the thug casually disagreed, "Like out in Cali it's nothing but big ass hills, you could walk downhill for like a mile and pound the shit out of your shins or you could just hop on a board and you could just throw it in a backpack the rest of the time. I guess it depends on where you're from, it'd be totally shitty to get around here where it's bumpy. Oh, and you don't look like a tool like the cyclists. Y'know the type, with those weird helmets and short shorts with the designer water bottles, right?" Patricia grinned back. Cyclists were freakin' lame as hell, like they made a show of just going out and doing stuff like they were better than you because they rode a bike. And they never shut up about it. At least the skaters could talk about something else every other conversation. "It just takes practice, dude. Nobody does it because they're scared of eating pavement but if you do it long enough you'll get the basics down. It took me, like, 4 months to ollie and like 4 weeks after that to do it whenever I wanted to but I got it." That's usually why most people didn't skate or do anything fun like that, they were little bitches about scraping knees. But if you got past that it was a ton of fun. It helped not to think about it too much. Patty actually flinched as the kid growled, a bemused smirk tugging at her lips. Well well well, looks like he had some spine after all. This was gonna be fuuuuuuuun. The attendant would take his glasses and walk to take them to the counter for safe-keeping. "Can do. I'll hold onto'em here until you get back." Patricia grinned evilly as the nerd basically stared her down. "Yeah sure! I can set you up!" The delinquent began eyeing the bikes, looking at the tags on them for their information. There was a lot of junk she didn't understand but some of it she could. Especially CC. Finding one with some high CC, she'd pretend to be the expert. Dude it was gonna be so funny when he took off like a rocket. "So like, you need to find something your size first. Like you don't want your feet dragging on the ground and junk and it has to feel right. You can bounce on the bike to get a feel for the shocks and if it's too rough and you can try the brakes to see if any of'em kinda suck. But I think what's most important if you're just starting out is your CC rating on it. So like, beginners are gonna want higher CC, it means Corner Control, it's pretty much how well the bike can handle by just steering it and not having to lean and stuff." Of course, Patty was aware that CC stood for... well she didn't know what it stood for but the more CC a bike had the more powerful its engine was. He wanted low CC to get used to biking but like, that wouldn't be as entertaining for her. | |
