You know what happens when you don't pay attention to your surroundings? Bad things, if you haven't guessed it just yet. Rhy had been down in the Slums to collect some info...well, it would be more accurate to say he had been snooping around, in hopes of getting to see anything interesting enough. You gotta stay on your toes to know shit, besides, can't be a good radio guy without having something juicy to say once in a while! What's totally not juicy however, is getting spotted by a pain of angry looking canine-esque creatures, and then subsequently getting chased across the street. The rabid asses probably thought he was suitable prey due to his small stature. Of course they would!

Luckily enough, the small Bronx had managed to get them off his tail eventually, but in his rush to find some good place to momentarily hide out at, he failed to watch out, and unceremoniously ran into a rusty old pole with a loud clank. Yikes! Thank God he was no longer being chased, because a downed person is the easiest target there is.

"Holy shit, it worked."

Came a shocked voice after a loud crash. Hesitantly, Casey would look herself over. Everything... Seemed to be in check, no body parts missing, her tail was still there. Wait shit one of her teeth were missing. Or was that the one that came out last month? Eh. The bruised rat would pick herself back up from the rubble she'd landed in. Thank fuck the shack she landed on broke like that, certainly cushioned the sudden fall enough so she didn't completely break herself. Why'd she been climbing up high enough that falling into a shack was the only logical way to get back down? I unno, bored?

With a cough that splattered some blood onto the ground, Casey cracked her head to one side then the other before trying to figure out exactly where she was. "These slums, forever a home, never without confusion." The battered up rat would sigh and begin walking off with a slump, just as a stray object was spotted in the corner of her eye lying on the floor. Using one hand to wipe her nose, which was apparently bleeding a little too, Casey would approach the small... Whatever it was on the ground with a perplexed look. Before kicking them in the side. "Ay. This ain't no bed. The hell you doin' down there."

"Yeowch!" Well, nothing shakes you back into consciousness like a painful kick, that's for sure. Rhy would blink a few times, a little disoriented as he proceeded to wave his arms in the air in surprise. He'd calm down soon enough however, pushing himself into a sitting position with a grumble. "I accidentally ran into a fucking pole and knocked myself out, that's what! Diiiid you really have to kick me? That kinda hurt." He'd complain slightly, rubbing at the sore spot as he looked towards the offender. That was a little rude, might he say, although it sure succeeded in waking him up. Sheesh though, he would like to walk out of this place in one piece. He knew the Slums could be bad at times, but come on! There had to be a bright side.

Slipping her hands into her pockets, Casey would watch the display of the alien in front of her freak out about being kicked with disinterest, almost as if she wasn't even fully paying attention to it at all. Though once she was addressed again, she'd merely shrug.

"I wasn't the one idiotic enough to run headlong into a pole. Some people would do way worse than just kick you whilst you're down. Like steal all your shit and trap you under a heap of garbage. Or rip out your horns and sell them on the black market. Perhaps even crush you and sip out the remains through a straw..." The rat would sniff, trying to stop some of the blood that was leaking out her nose from rolling down her face as she started thinking about other horrific things that could of been done to a defenseless person down here in the slums. After a couple moments she'd shudder. "I have weird thoughts." She'd absentmindedly say more to herself.
