| "Well, it's always the luck of the draw, and sometimes the higher the stakes, the more you feel as if you could lose everything on the spot. At the same time, being too face could cause you to miss out on something that could change everything for you." Finishing his wine, Gabe would clap his hands and get up. "What I'm trying to say is that it takes quite a bit of courage and bravery to go through life in spite of the unknown. I feel as if blackjack explains that sort of philosophy the best, which is why it's one of my favorite games. "
Turning over to the left of him, more around the carpet area, Gabe pointed to the slot machines. "Those seem a little less concerning for a financial crisis like blackjack, but it's still fun to play. You'll be surprised as to how many self-made elderly millionaires comprise their origin story from slot machines. "

| Lui gulped down the last of his drink, setting it beside him as he listened to Gabe's blackjack philosophy. Higher risks certainly puts one on a tightrope, where every step could mean to an all-or-nothing gamble. Going small could mean missing out on a big chance as well. Lui considered himself a fairly cautious fellow, taking hard risks when it proved most beneficial to him. Fencing could be the same; one needed to remain cautious and, when the opportunity presented itself, he had to go in full force, preparing to take the foe by sudden surprise.
"Bravery, sure. But it also takes a bit of intelligence and cunning. If you know how the game works, getting better at the game just comes naturally. Life's plenty more complicated than you expect, but people find little ways to play the system. There's a lot reflective of life in the smallest details around us.
You're an interesting sort, Gabe. I don't know how much longer I can stay, but I wouldn't mind stopping by again sometime. I'm sure you'd enjoy the extra business. Perhaps you'd like to come to the dojo sometime, see my swordplay in action? I mean, when it's possible for you to make it."

| For some reason, every time i try to imagine someone playing the system, it makes me think of how unjustly it is for companies to prey upon the dependency of others. Never mind filing for unemployment, but even small things as drugs or maybe more essentials that people use on a daily basis, the price only goes higher. Surrounding yourself with money is a lot different than controlling commodity, you would be surprised with how many people call me the devil. "
Gabe then laughed to himself as he tapped his glass, ordering a second one. "You don't say? Fencing huh? Well, i would like to give it a shot if you don't mind, what time is your club's next meeting ? "

| Lui nodded in agreement of his statements. There was playing the game and abusing the game, where those who wanted to get ahead in life did so on the backs of others while preventing them from moving up in the world. True, Lui's habit of making facades for new people to best appeal to their personalities could be seen negatively to Gabe, but he never did it to put anyone down or impact a person's perception of others, only improving his standing with someone. Gabe was no devil; he was just doing his job as a casino manager.
"Heh. You, a devil? That's ridiculous. But yeah, if you want to swing by the club, we meet up on Tuesdays and Thursdays after class over at Seven Stars. We're just out of training for a tournament, so I can fit you in easily. I know this guy, Frogerio, who wasn't that interested but gave it a shot. He seemed to like it, so I think you'll enjoy it to a degree. Just tell them you're there for the Captain and they'll send you my way.
Anything else you want to talk about? I gotta get going soon. Got club work to do tonight."

| I won't keep you, you have important things to do. But i'll definitely stop by the club tomorrow if anything. If not tomorrow, sometime this week, or whenever you aren't fatigued from doing work the night before. " With that, Gabe offered the last handshake to Lui. " I hope you enjoyed your time at the lucky clover. " | |

| Seeing that he had made enough of an impression to have Gabe swing by his club, Lui grasped his hand in a firm and swift handshake. This casino might be a useful place to earn extra cash with some luck or catch up on the word of the street around night time. So long as he was in Gabe's good graces, he could benefit from this location. Lui showed Gabe his phone screen, his number visible on the screen.
"I had a wonderful time here. Come by whenever, Gabe. Just shoot me a text when you're coming by. Here, my number."
With his drink glass empty and his pockets lined with more money than he started with, Lui departed from the Lucky Clover into the less crowded sidewalks, feeling the tension in his shoulders loosen up. He had matters to attend to tonight, but it wasn't for his club. Whether Gabe knew or not, he would be out and about preparing for whatever Terrorist activities would be required of him.
