Gabe was picking up a shift today that actually involved him doing other than the usual. He would most likely be monitoring the tables as a dealer for the blackjack games, but the front desk receptionist had called in sick. "Well, that's a little bit unfortunate. "Gabe would say as he would text on his phone occasionally. He seemed to be getting along with Athena quite well, and wondered what she was up to

"Hey, what are you doing right now? I'm at Lucky Clover..." Gabe would type as he put his phone away. Well it was something to do while he waited until he got off. However, it would be cool if she paid him a visit.

Athena heard her phone ringing from her purse, she didn't expect any texts so late and her parents usually called which made the girl curious. When she realize the message had come from Gabe Athena couldn't help but feel happy, though along with that happiness she also felt worried. It wasn't like her to behave like that, especially when regarding her love affairs, usually a number of boys would flirt with her at the same time and she would simply bask at the attention without caring much about them. In this case however things were convoluted and that frightened her.

Hey, I'm at Suzie Q, just finished filming some scenes for a TV series. It was amazing, much better than simply posing acting is truly my call.

She got the urge to visit him but she knew that if she was to act according to her feelings she would only regret later.

I was thinking about taking a cab home. Are you working rn?

Gabe smirked at the text message and sent another one. "That's great, tell me all about it. How did it turn out? Did you meet alot of people?" Though, with the next message, he would look at his watch. "Well', i'm almost off work, i have an hour left, you can stop the cab at lucky clover and i can share it with you since we are going the same way. So how about it? Interested in going home together with me?" Gabe closed his phone and returned it to his pocket as he greeted a guest at the front desk. "Welcome to the lucky clover, how can i help you?" Gabe would say to the guest with a smile. She easily blushed though. "Um... hey ..Mr. Gatsby, you're as charming as ever..."

Athena bit her bottom lip as she read Gabe's response. He was asking her to come so she wouldn't appear desperate if she was to actually pay him a visit, not to mention that she owned him one after helping her become the president of the managers sorority.

Well since you put it that way I have little choice.
I wont stay for long tho: I'm not properly dressed for such a place.

It was the last message Athena would sent for that day. Finding a cab proved to be easier than expected and so the girl reached Lucky Glover in a matter of minutes. Finding Gabe though was an even simpler task since he was at the resection.

"Well aren't you looking charming in that tuxedo. Now I regret not going home first to put on something more elegant."

It seemed like she was coming, which was quite a good thing. It made Gabe happy that she was coming to see him. After assisting the flustered Guess, he returned to his position so he could see Athena in as soon as she came. Regarding her comment when she came, Gabe only smiled and gave her a sharp bow.

"Not at all, it's an outfit you was wearing for a tv series. I'm pretty sure that if anyone was to walk in, they would recognize you as a celebrity. As they should....." After raising his head, Gabe would relax a bit at the counter. "Next time, i'll take you somewhere a little more personal, my favorite restaurant. Or I can cook something for you myself, i don't suppose you feel disappointed that i called you here at my place of work amongst all other places?

Athena flattered by Gabe's gesture only giggled in response, she decide not to reveal to him that she wore an entirely different costume for her role, the excuse he had come up made a convenient lie for both of them and the admiration she received was more than welcome. "It's really nice to see you in a working environment." Athena said before she sat on the counter tilting her head slightly on the side to face Gabe.

"Though I have to admit I would much prefer to be dining in a fancy restaurant, still that is something that can arranged. Preferably during a time I wont have so much work so I'll have to properly prepare. I even have a fancy gown somewhere in my closet that I hadn't had a chance to wear." The thought of Gabe taking her to a glamorous place and treating her like royalty made the girl very happy. She always wanted the things her not-so-wealthy lifestyle had denied her after all.

"I had the impression you were working as a dealer. Did they changed your post to receptionist or something?"

A fancy restaurant?" Gabe would think to himself as he wondered if he ever actually at a fancy restaurant? Not exactly, he wasn't the type that ate out alot, Gabe usually cooks for himself or goes for something simple. "Alright, you could leave the planning to me then. The kind of restaurant that i'll end up picking can be some sort of guessing game you could play. Gabe would say with a smile, at least this would be something that keeps her guessing.

"I am a dealer, but i decided to pick up a shift today. I wasn't even supposed to work today, but why say no to the money, right? I mean, especially if i'm going to take you out. Oh, tell me about the tv show.

"Of course not, having money is important, and very aphrodisiac I might add." Athena said in a joking manner, though she wasn't exactly jesting, even in Endymion money provided a certain level of protection. The Queen needed her wealthy subjects more than the poor ones. She knew of course that Gabe was not rich, though he could clearly provide for himself Athena always picture the man who would let steal her heart as fabulously wealthy, even the boys she had dated before came from rich families and often gave her many gifts to earn her affection. The gown she had mentioned earlier was one of those.

"I'm not sure if you have watched the show before. I know I haven't before I auditioned for the role I got. It's called Bleeding Roots and it's a story set in Feudal Japan. I got the role of Mana, the wife of the antagonist. My role wasn't very big but I had some pretty nice scenes, I only hope I acted well enough to call me back for the next season."

Gabriel put on qn interested face as he heard more about the show. "No, i haven't heard about it at all. But..what i will do..on one of my days off..ill be sure to binge watch all of the available episodes when i get a chance, to get quite a feel for the character. As a matter of fact..." Gabe would say with a charming smile. " I think that the role of Mana suits you, being a strong supporter of someone with high ambitions. Sometimes, such desires can be seen as evil, but that's only from those outside of what you really see when you are alot closer, right? You get to know the personal life, the relationship, maybe he isn't so ruthless? Maybe he is a family man, which leads to a surprise."

Gabe did have a different way thinking. Antagonist.... the word.....description of something that's against you... but... we have no clue if a Protagonist is something thats supposed to be represented as "good", people to root for. These concepts interest me, the boundaries of good and evil that is. As i hope to be expected, as a main villain, it would be nice if he loved his wife...especially since its you playing her. "

"Well the writers made an excellent job in portraiting human emotions to him, even my role was very well written and she only appears for a couple of episodes. Still the season I'm in wont air till Winter so you'll probably have to wait a long time before you see me on the big screen." Athena replied "Though I hear the first season is equally interesting as the one they're preparing right now... as about what makes the viewers like the protagonist more the answer is simple, the entire first season revolves around him and his family, they are by no means saints and they make mistakes, but since you get to know how the live and what they've been through you can't help but like them. It's after all in our nature to grow attached to the people we spent time with, don't you agree?"

Well then if i have to wait a long time, it certainly have better be worth the wait. After hyping it up so much, i could barely contain myself. " Gabe would wonder how the first season would go. " I would like to call that the tinted lens aspect. You see life as it is from one section for such a long period of time, but thats only what they wanted you to see. If there was anything done wrong, it was done off camera, but still very much a part of the story with little-teased hints, which gives birth to theories about a show. Or maybe i'm reaching?" Gabe smiled and then moved from the counter. You been here for a moment and i have yet to ask if you wanted any refreshments, are you thirsty for anything in particular?

"I would love to confirm your theory but my lips are sealed, by contract no less, so we really shouldn't talk much about the show, I wouldn't want to spoil anything to you." Athena pondered on Gabe's offer a bit, she really wanted something sweet to drink, perhaps a juice or a light cocktail but on the other hand it was late and she had already everything she was allowed to for the day, being a model was nice but it also had several restrictions.

"That's alright, I'm not that thirsty and I have a bottle of water in my bag anyway. You said that you'd be off the clock soon, right? My mother would kill me if I return home too late." Athena finally added, even though she was an adult a place like this still felt like one where she should't be.

"Ahh i see... alright..." Gabe would say as he checked his watch. "You know, you are actually right about that, call the taxi while i have a word with a few people. "Gabe would say as he went inside of the casino and spoke to a few people. After that, anther person would come to take Gabe's place. "Ehh? So you must be Gabe's "Hime sama"huh? Charmed...." He would say with a sharp bow, seemingly teasing Gabe around the fact of all of the female attention he seemed to be getting. "Yes, isn't she gorgeous. But beneath all of those good looks, there's a smart mind, and a strong spirit. " After that, gabe would walk close to her and offer his shoulder. We can talk more in the cab, are you ready mademoiselle?

Athena smiled and nodded at the compliments she received. It always felt great to be praised for her looks though knowing that Gabe also appreciated her wit made her feel even better "If every employee is as charming as you are then I will have no choice but to become a regular in that place."

She accepted Gabe's gesture and soon she found her arm linked to his. "I feel exhausted. Still I can't say I didn't have a good time, you work in an interesting place, to say the lest, I'll make sure to visit again when I have the time." When they finally got inside the car Athena felt her entire body relax as she touched the seat, she was more tired than she though. "I can't wait to lie to my bed, even though acting is fun I can confirm that it's equally exhausting, though to be fair your job didn't seem easy either, aren't you tired?"

Gabe got into the car with her and told the driver where they were going. "Sunlake palms please.... " Gabe would say. Though, regarding being tired. "no, i'm not necessarily tired at all actually. Well, perhaps bit ..slightly...but the coffee is still keeping me going for a little while longer. However..." Gabe said as he placed his arm over her so she could have most of the support of his shoulder. Feel free to take a nap, i'll wake you up when we get there, alright? It's only fair that i offer my arm to you. Gabe did offer this, but if she didn't want to nd wanted to stay up a little while longer, that was alright too. "My job takes alot of time to get good at and concentration, it's never easy. However, it's what i love
