"Maybe that's how you saw it. Me, i'd love to have those kinds of days again..." He said, a wistful smile crossing his face.
Judging from Frog's question, it also looked like he'd accidentally given it away.
He decided to answer the best he could, finally.
Part of friendship was opening up to others, right?
He thought about what to say for a moment before he answered.

"Well... you could say that. Being a cadet... it's quite the heavy responsibility." he said, looking around to see if anyone was listening before answering.
That was probably the most he could tell Frog, seeing as much of the bigger details were things that he could not disclose under any circumstances.
Well, the most he could tell in public, anyways.

The supervisor had ways of knowing things, he knew, and though he may not be the brightest, he was also enough of a paranoiac to suspect that any cadet, or any religious member of the religion Maria served could easily tattle on her.
He didn't want to be in trouble again.
Nope, nope, not at all.

Oh. Oooooooh.

All right, so Takeru was a Cadet. Well, that was unexpected, really....Frog would never have guessed, but it surely explained the boy's odd behaviour as of late. He must've just become one, so the stress was tremendous, he could imagine. On the other hand, he didn't know why the guy was being so secretive about it, not like nobody knew Cadets existed. They were a public force, so yeah. And besides every other Cadet he knew was quite open about the topic. Takeru must've had his reasons, though.

"Oh, I didn't know you were a Cadet." Frog smiled. "That's great, when did you become one...er...if you're allowed to tell me. I won't bug you."

It could be fun to have an inside friend in the enemy force...not that Frog would use Takeru for his own ends, because, quite frankly, he had no real set ends in mind, but still...one could never be sure when they were a P.T.

He honestly had to be careful. The last thing he wanted was to get screwed like mad.
Not in the fun way either.
At that moment, they arrived at Subway.
"Oh hey. We're here. You buying, or am I?" he asked Frog.

"I'm buying." Frog grinned as they walked into the Subway. Takeru was still being mysterious but a great weight had been lifted from Frog's shoulders and he could relax again so everything was where it was supposed to be. He could enjoy the sandwich and Takeru's continued company, no doubt about that, so the only thing that remained was to sit back, grab the sub and while away.

Takeru smiled.
It would be nice to grab a bite to eat, and have lunch with a friend for once.
One that honestly probably wouldn't care if he was a cadet or not, someone that saw him as just another human being.
Also more importantly, as a friend.

"Thank you." he said, grateful to Frog.
